Reviews for At Home Sukhothai

Review 1:There's mosquitos, bring repellent! They have some at the front desk but bring some DEET.

Review 2:Gorgeous property a 10 minute walk from the center of New Sukhotai. We stayed in the private bungalows and then just a private room. Excellent facilities. The staff were so helpful, arranging tuk-tuks and taxis. The main woman in charge is especially lovely. Really good free breakfast.

Review 3:The staff didn't give us much attention (but were polite anyways). They insisted quite a bit in trying to book a tuk tuk for the bus station even though we declined.

Review 4:The breakfast was very good, especially the Muesli.

Review 5:The room(s) is very poorly isolated, this is the backside of a house made of wood, you hear EVERYTHING going on in the rooms around you. Don't forget earplugs if you want a good nights sleep!

Review 6:Very, very kind and friendly staff! Almost felt like staying with a family rather than at a hotel. The day we were leaving we did a bicycle tour in the morning before taking the bus to Chiang Mai, and when we came back to the hotel to pick up our bags they let us have a shower before taking the bus which was very kind! Good breakfast, not really big but enough and tasty. Charming tek house with garden and a small pond with ducks, very relaxing.

Review 7:10 minutes walk to the bus terminal to the old Sukhothai (30 Bhat per person with the simple bus). - clean room - laundry service - large room with garden view - nice garden

Review 8:If you would like to feel at Home, choose At Home Sukhothai! You may take a tuk tuk in order to go to Sukhothai Historical park or for only 30 bath you can take a Bus that departs every 30 minutes about. The hotel can show you where to take it. The bungalows are silent at night and the A/C conditioner is perfect. Magic! :)

Review 9:Fairly small room. No TV is no real problem. No refrigerator is a problem. No hot water pot for coffee, etc., either.

Review 10:The manager speaks excellent English, and the staff can be playful, if you can be as well. The garden areas were quite nice and the restaurant area clean and well managed. Nice to find a hotel where they're happy to supply you with all the big cups of coffee you want. Wifi worked well.

Review 11:The hotel was quiet - very few guests - but that is expected in low season. Was very peaceful though!

Review 12:Arrived at 5am and they were open and let me check in at no extra charge! Very kind and attentive staff. The man speaks very good English. Lockers for valuables are available. The wooden rooms are lovely but would recommend getting an air con room because they are very hot!

Review 13:The bungalows aren't as good as they look on the Internet but the other rooms are great

Review 14:Nik naks in the common area / location / staff and their food is superb and great value

Review 15:-wifi signal in our room wasn't stable -you can hear the sound when ppl next door are talking more loudly

Review 16:-very nice and helpful staff -nice and cosy style -nice breakfast -definitely worth the value of money -good location --near to market and food

Review 17:- A wooden house may be noisy if neighbours (or in our case, frogs) are making sound at night.

Review 18:- Really friendly and helpful staff - Four options for breakfast - Top class WiFi! - Close to the center of the new city - many restaurants, street food stalls and even 7/11 nearby - A bookshelf in the lobby

Review 19:The service could be friendlier. They were helpful but compared to most Thais there were very few smiles and in general they were a little cold. The room is beautiful but the walls paper thin: your sleep is at te mercy of other travelers who might not always care how far their voice travels.

Review 20:The Room was beautiful as was the garden and common areas. It was very well located as well.

Review 21:We had noisy neighbours first evening, If you don't like frogs, don't come to this hotel. For the rest, it is good.

Review 22:We had a nice, smal, bungalow facing a pond (which was quite green). Nice staff and a fridge filled with drinks at the reception. Just note down what you have taken at acceptable prices.

Review 23:The staff was excellent. They made us feel at home.

Review 24:friendly staff and nice breakfast!

Review 25:Not really bad but dinner wasn't that well.

Review 26:Friendly staff, nice atmosfere in an old Thais house. Quiet. Nice garden.

Review 27:It's not in the center of Old Sukhothai, but actually that doesn't matter, since they provide good bikes and you can do some sightseeing.

Review 28:Mosquitos, but we are in Thailand, no?!

Review 29:Beautiful location, the garden and the pond. Good market in the area and easy way to the archaeological site.

Review 30:No TV in room

Review 31:Bed was a big hard.

Review 32:Good advice for a bicycle tour with local guide. Nice wooden house and garden. Good rooms Very friendly staff

Review 33:Excellent staff! They make you feel at home. Breakfast was great! Kudos!!!!!

Review 34:the owner speaks good english. The included breakfast was excellent. The main house is old fashioned traditional thai.

Review 35:New Sukkothay!

Review 36:The garden, the free bicycles, the breakfast.

Review 37:Room was a bit dated.

Review 38:Nice calm atmosphere, breakfast was good.

Review 39:- no TV and fridge in the room ( if that's important to you)

Review 40:-effortable, delicious and homemade food -kind and useful personel (especially when it comes to visiting the old city)

Review 41:The room is good but you can hear the people next door talking very clearly.

Review 42:I like that the stuffs are friendly. And very helpfull. I can use the bike when I was there.

Review 43:- Wi-Fi is poor in room, but it works well in common hall

Review 44:- Discreet, kind and helpful staff - Location not too far by walk from center, but enough to be quiet - Breakfast was for us in perfect quantity, and tasty - Surroundings (style of rooms) are enjoyable

Review 45:Some mosquitos in the room, the Guesthouse is in a big and beautiful garden.

Review 46:The homemade yoghurt with muesli and honey for breakfast was great! The room was clean and confortable. Staff is ok, we reccomend also to do the Sukhothai Bicycle Tour to the Old City that they suggest to us (it was amazing!!the greatest experience in Thailand!!)

Review 47:The staff is excellent; helpful, ready with information, friendly. We had one of the best fruit & muesli breakfasts in Thailand there. Great value for money!

Review 48:It's a bit outside of the center, but still in walking distance.

Review 49:It is a family run guesthouse. Nice rooms and surroundings. You shouldbook a bike-tour with sukhothai bycicle tours! They're a bit moreexpensive than others but totally worth it!

Review 50:A bit far from the historical site as is all the accommodation in New Sukhotai, but tuk tuks are around to take you one way for 150 baht or 600 to take you to and from site and around the major areas.

Review 51:Nice traditional Thai wooden guest house, great atmosphere for a stay in Sukhotai. Great value accommodation and food. Walking distance to restaurants, tuk tuks and bus in New Sukhotai. The owners are very very friendly and helpful, even gave us a lift to the airport limousine and gave us breakfast 30 mins before it should have started.

Review 52:Some accident with the laundry so everything from the towels to the bed linens was covered in lint which stuck on to you after use.

Review 53:Helpful owner, good breakfast, reasonably priced. The landlady helps you out with everything from scooter rentals, to transport back to the bus station. As you check in she also gives you a map with an orientation of the city and where to go.

Review 54:For the price you can't complain

Review 55:Excellent value for money.

Review 56:Beautiful room with airconditioning and a great location. Everything you need for a more than reasonable price.

Review 57:The owners were very helpful in every way; a nice accommodation, also for more then one night.

Review 58:Nice garden room, large and airy.

Review 59:Thin walls. All the voices be heard through.

Review 60:Cozy atmosphere.
