Review 7：The location was 2 miles from town. The Waves is also in downtown Cannon Beach, but our condo was too far away - which never was told to us until we checked in. Also thought we were closer to the beach.Also on 4th floor which we did not know. Booking.com should have told us this. I would not give it an 8.8 rating because of location.

Review 15：The waves are located right on the beach and near the middle of town which makes for a perfect location. You can walk anywhere. The rooms are so cozy, relaxing and romantic. The staff were so nice and gracious. We will definitely be back!

Review 30：This facility has a pedestal sink in the bathroom. There is no counter space. this is not functional and very frustrating. I would not stay in Lincoln City again. I would go to Nye Beach in Newport for more charm.

Review 49：I was disappointed. The photos I viewed on the web site made the room look fresh and new. In fact the carpet was worn and stained and the walls had scraped areas with missing paint. Nearly half the view of the ocean was blocked by the main Waves building which was truly oceanfront. My main concern was safety. There was no dead bolt or other secondary lock on the door. No safety bar in the bath tub. Definitely overpriced.
Review 50：The staff was responsive to my concerns. Two guys were sleeping on the beach next to the parking area in front of my room. I didn't realize they were there until I went down the stairs to go to the beach the next morning. They were in the same place the second night so I reported them to the management. They called the police. I expressed my concerns about my room to the management and for my second night they offered me a room in the oceanfront building. I did not want to move all my things so I declined-too little, too late.

Review 55：Hard to use door lock. They fixed it when I couldn't get in but there was a sign on the door indicating the lock had problems previously - which wasn't on the other doors. At these prices the lock should work perfectly all the time. Light came in the windows at dawn - I would have liked sunblocking curtains but that's not something everyone cares about.

Review 67：This motel is my favorite place to stay in Cannon Beach. It's right on the middle of town and is 1 block from the beach. Bed is always do comfy and love the little day bed by the window to catch the ocean breeze.
Review 68：The free breakfast offered was pretty terrible, with frozen items being offered and guests preparing their own breakfast. I've stayed in lots of hotels, and this was right up there with the top 3 worst for breakfast offering. Needs definite improvement.
Review 69：The bed was soooooo comfortable, I slept like a log, and the room was pretty clean. There were spots on the carpet that you could see where people had dropped coffee or cokes, but overall it was in great condition.
Review 70：The only drawback I could think to mention was that the skylights let in light early in the morning. If you need a dark room in which to sleep, you could bring an eye mask as my husband used. Actually, I usually need a dark room to sleep soundly but had no problem here. Perhaps that was because the bed was soooo comfortable!
Review 71：Although I had originally thought that I wanted to be closer to Haystack Rock, reviews of this motel were so compelling that we went with the Waves. Of the 4 different styles of buildings with slightly different locations on the property, we chose the Southwind building, which is one row behind the oceanfront and provided a better value. We had both a private deck angled towards an amazing beach view of Ecola State Park and the lighthouse, and also a dinette area with windows on 2 sides with the same view as the deck. Perfect! The vaulted ceiling and skylights made the large room seem even bigger. It was always flooded with light. We also enjoyed the kitchenette and fireplace. The bed and pillows were oh-so-comfortable!! We are from Georgia but are planning our next vacation back to the Waves. The location could not have been better, the staff was exceptional, and the room was perfect for us.

We had an amazing ocean front view and downtown was just around the block! Everything was within walking distance. The coffee shop on the corner was awesome! Shopping was easy and all the restaurants had great food! Our room was clean and comfy! My daughter loved the fireplace in the room and there was enough room to play and spreadout! Review 96：When the sun shines in through the beautiful windows and skylights, it gets a bit warm in the room, so the fan helped a lot. It was great, even without a view because the skylights offer a bigger room.
