Review 1：The room was cold, in the dead of winter, and there was no thermostat. Our stay was due to an early (4:00 AM) surgery. That being said, other guests were very loud late into the night. Slamming numerous doors, yelling, running up/down the hallway & partying. My husband went into the hallway a few times & even asked if they could keep it down. I called the front desk, the clerk said he'd come up. He never did. I will never stay at this hotel again. I would even pay more to stay somewhere else if needed, that's saying alot!

Review 2：The room was clean & up to date. I liked that the hotel was located in a convenient area. Check in/out was easy & quick. The clerk @ check in was nice.

Review 3：Rooms need an overhaul. Carpet was stained, shower escutcheon was broken, there was no bath mat. Elevator was painfully slow.

Review 8：I've stayed at The Norman many times when visiting my son at OU. The staff is courteous and the room is clean and comfortable. Well worth the price. The breakfast is good for a grab and go.

Review 9：There was a leak in the piping so there were buckets and containers everywhere. It felt a bit unsanitary. The 'HOT' breakfast was NOT a hot breakfast and lacked a lot, even though there were areas for hot food. Overall disappointing.

Review 15：Pool was empty, the whole place was neglected & smelled of rot, breakfast was barely there, ceiling leaks in main foyer/breakfast area, all utensils made of plastic, no help from staff, I found my own way around the store room when I required something. Also, there was a party going on with some very loud, drunk workers right outside the hotel entrance, toting eskys.

Review 17：Under repair. AC average, very humid in the room. Fridge not working. They had to use a power strip. Very dark in the room. Couldn't see to put make up on in the bathroom. No fan in the bathroom, no ice bucket. Only 3 hangers in the closet. Slow to no wi-fi. Pool out of service.

Review 18：Reserved a room for 6-got a room for 4-lone desk person said they had no rooms for 6 even though the online profile said they did. Also the hotel was hot and no amenities were open. We left after going to 3 rooms and got exactly what we wanted at a neighboring hotel.

Review 21：The staff was very nice but the hotel is in horrible shape. This is barely a 1 star and I paid almost 100 for my one night here. If I had paid about 40 I wouldn't complain.

Review 22：The breakfast was really lacking compared to lots of other hotels we stay at. Everything was gone, milk was gone so cereal wasn't an option. Just a few pieces of sausage, bread was hard. Wasn't happy at all with the breakfast. And this was at 10am. It was supposed to be open till 11am.

Review 23：This hotel used to be a Holiday Inn and it has had very little maintenance since leaving the franchise. The carts used to get your luggage to your room had nearly flat tires, so it took 2 people to roll one with luggage on it, the sink didn't drain, the A/C blew directly on the person sleeping by it, the breakfast didn't start until 7:10, paint was peeling off around the elevator, the pool was not available, both of the chairs in our room had cuts in the upholstery, etc...

Review 25：Upon arrival the hotel smelled from sewage and wet carpet. We were not able to use the pool and had to go to another hotel to swim. And the work our room was also unavailable.

Review 27：The bath tub hot water runs constantly and they said there was nothing they could do about it. Our only other option was two double beds. We could not hear it running while not in the bathroom but it is really affecting the appearance of the bathroom. The rooms are updated but the lobby, halls need attention. The pool was green and closed-if we were traveling with Kids this would have been bad.

Review 28：The room was a suite. Nice and big for cheap price but we soon found out why.

Review 29：We stayed in Room 405 & the bed looked comfy but, I awoke with a sore back. Also, we had very loud people across the hall from us & ended up calling front desk. It got quite for about an hour & I was awaken by yelling from down the hall.

Review 33：Bed frame was broken on one of the beds. I had stayed there about 2 weeks earlier, tried using the baggage carts. All 3 had mostly flat tires. Tires were still flat when I arrived on second trip. Would recommend replacing the furniture in front lobby, very grimy and dirty.

Review 34：Bedroom needs new carpeting, really need better bedding. It was cold and there was no blankets. The breakfast starts out good but they don't replenish and halfway through there is almost nothing to eat. If they fixed the lobby up and added a bar it could be a great place to hang out.

Review 37：We stayed 4 nights and only 1 time did housekeeping clean our room. We had to ask for towels, toilet paper, empty our own trash. I had called a day before our stay to make sure the pool was open. But when we got there the pool was closed. It did not open until the day before we left.

Review 43：I was travelling with three children. We live in Norman and wanted a place to hang to use the pool. We went to use the pool and it was like a hot tub. The heater was turned on way too high. No one was swimming, it was way too hot for children and myself. There were also a group of men playing poker and drinking in the pool area. They were loud and not what would be considered kid friendly. No one ever game in there to check the pool area while we were in there. Granted we only ended up in there for 30 minutes. I went to the front desk to ask for a manager and was told that there was not one on duty until the morning. That was disappointing. The breakfast was not the greatest. We will not be coming back as we live in Norman and this was just for a little fun for the weekend, we stayed two nights. We will choose another location for our annual "in town" getaway.

I was a bit worried when i was looking online cause thenlast gotel we stayed at had good pictures but not a good place. I was very happy with the norman hotel. Definitely worth the money!

Review 48：Handicap room had no mat in shower, this is all new to me after a enjury. Falling on slick wet floors is a huge problem. Take the ADA requirments serious. Room microwave broken, I will make you a good deal on the bag of popcorn. Breakfast, cold coffee the staff egnored, cold cereal, toaster, juice, very minimal. For the price and location I would again stay

Review 49：Location, price, WiFi, yes I would stay again I worked for a large lender who did hotels. The ones we had the most problems with were owners who thought they could run it. Get a major national franchise and management company. .

Review 50：Convenient, decent drive up appeal, rooms seemed to be up to date on furniture however the bathroom was not what you would expect. Moisture damage to the wood on the door. Baseboards missing and wallpaper curling up on corners. Just felt old once you got passed the entry way.

Review 51：Location was good. Breakfast was carbohydrate loaded - highly processed foods. Great that it was included but... The pool was nice but had some debris in the deep end - we stayed clear of it. Hot tub was out of service. Staff were very accommodating. Bar service was great!

Review 52：The Norman is awaiting refurbishment which I understood was subject to new Holiday Inn being completed in the vicinity. It appeared to me that what looked like a Holiday Inn sign on the exterior had been covered up. Had I know the Norman was in need of refurbishment I would not have booked it.

Review 54：There was no blanket on the bed. The room was cold (which we like) but no blanket to cover up with. I have stayed here before (When Holiday Inn) and the rates were way more reasonable before. Way too overpriced for the one night stay!

Review 56：black mold forming in the bathroom ceiling, my inlaws had a room that had quite a bit of black mold in their bathroom also bought non smoking room and it was very obvious that the room had been smoked in. They didn't finish their stay.

Review 58：The wifi is pitiful. I called the front desk within 15 mins of arriving. The front desk said they did not have maintenance at the hotel in the evening as they had left around 5 pm and could not unlock the room where the wifi unit was to reset it. So, wifi was not working.

Review 59：Shower faucet was broken with sharp pieces exposed. Phone was broken, TV was broken, one side of window curtain was missing, windows were nasty filthy with clumps of tar or paint running down the wall. I spilled something on the desk and wiped it up with a napkin, the desk had a black residue which completely made a white towel black when I cleaned the desk with it. Hot tub was the reason I chose this hotel, it was broken the entire time we were there!!!!!!

Review 61：It's summer and when we walked in the lobby was too warm and stuffy. Elevator was was warm and musty smelling too. Luckily the room was great!

There where a few lights out in the room. Made it hard to get ready in the dark. Didn't like that there is no discount for OU parents.

Service was great and I could go on for hours how nice the room was; e.g. the bed, tv, view on the 6th floor, Wi-Fi was strong, the bar was nice, the kitchen had good food, etc... All around was a GREAT stay and I would highly recommend it to someone else!!!

Review 69：The elevator was a bit iffy, it seemed jerky. The WiFi was very slow. There is still more work to be done as far as the remodeling of the hotel goes. The walls were pretty thin, we could hear everything going on around us.

Review 70：My husband and three children traveled with me to Norman for a training. The hotel location was great. The continental breakfast was good. The rooms were nice. The staff was wonderful, very polite and attentive. The pool was nice, my kids and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Overall, we had a nice stay, the pros outweighed the cons.

Review 73：I had booked this hotel for a girl's night with my daughters. A little swimming some room service then a chick flick in our room. When we got there, there wad no room service. We ordered had to order take out. We got dressed for the pool went down stairs to where the pool was. The hot tub was closed with yellow hazard tape around it. The water was green and brown, looked like mold. The pool water wad green and it looked like there was something floating on the surface. Like a thin llayer of clear slimmy stuff. I went to the front desk and the guy barely acted like he cared. The next morning the breakfast was horrible. I actually got sick from it. Needless to say for the price I paid for this I was very upset with what I got. I will never go back there and I recommend they lower their rates because this was a dive hotel with a shiny coat of paint on it.

The windows were filthy and our window as exactly in line with the parking lot light - very bright - and there were only sheer curtains. The bathroom ceiling also had water damage that peeled off while we were there.

Review 77：The hospitality was impersonal and quite immature. The average hotel host at the desk was early 20s with very little knowledge of how to approach guests needs. The housekeeping was terrible! We stayed for four days and they never changed the sheets or cleaned the bathroom. I had to seek them out for more towels each day. The breakfast was better at the Cracker Barrel next door. That's all I will say about the food. There is an independent bar that is located inside the hotel that is public access. Questionable customers luring with no on site security was a bit disturbing. I would not stay here with my young children due to the conditions and the atmosphere. We won't stay here again regardless.
