Review 1：I saw a little cockroache on my bedroom floor. I guess it's hard to get rid of them in Miami beach but still... that kind of ruined my sleep a bit

They have been taking for 2 extra nights from my credit and when I send them an e mail about this their respons was that I should talk with my bank so they can take care of this. I respond to them and since I haven't heard anything more from them or got my money back ! Is this okay?! No it's not, this is horrible. Not proffeasional at all. But I'm gonna go there in person!

Review 10：I really like the place because they got two restaurants and a bar that's open all night.

Review 11：First two nights were great- a Tuesday and a Wednesday. Second two nights were so loud that it was nearly impossible to sleep. We were on the first floor just down the hall from the bar/restaurant from which we could hear music into the wee hours of the morning. Keeping in mind that we went to bed around 1:00 am on Thursday (New Years eve so some forgiveness there) and midnight on Friday, that will give you an idea of how late the noise goes. We were also near the cleaning cart and staff office so we constantly heard people just outside the door. Also room could use a box of tissues!

Review 12：Staff upgraded our room from a double to a suite and gave us a bottle of champagne when my boyfriend called to tell them we were checking in on my birthday. Super nice and helpful staff. Excellent location near lots of food, shopping, bars and a beautiful beach. Liked that we could choose from two pools and loved the beach chair vouchers. Did not eat at any of the restaurants on site as there were too many better options in walking distance.

Review 17：The first two night was EXTREMELY NOISY. I had the room 2119. ( The tap in that room spout my clothes every time I tried to use). The bar outside the window was having party until 4 am, and began AGAIN around 9 am. I asked to change the room, but they failed to do so at first night. For the 3rd night, I changed one on the second floor, which is quieter, but can u believe, the ceiling was LEAKING!!! Right in front of the bed. My friend felt itchy on her skin after one night sleep. I had cold after two nights cannot sleep well. Consider the great location and price, I can't say it's toooo bad, but never go back again.

Review 25：I was little worried due to the mixed reviews, but what a pleasant surprise! Our stay at the Catalina with our two kids was great. Spent 3 nights in the Dorset Building, El Grande room. The room was very spacious (huge king size bed, a couch converted to a double bed, a crib, and still had room...), clean, new, and very quiet. We really enjoyed the rooftop pool, though it appears that we were lucky to stay during a off-season period, and in different times this pool gets too crazy for kids. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Bottom line- yes, this is not the Delano, or the Fontainbleau, but Catalina is a great small hotel, that provides great value-for-money.

Once we settled in a room, 3rd attempt after karting our luggage around, they sent a group of 3 people to our room with another set of keys while we were already inside. Not good!

Review 34：We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights four days. Of the 3 nights we stayed there we were walked in on twice; first by a Houseman (during sex) then by a couple visiting from Dennark. The staff at the hotel double booked the room. After these incidences occurred an apology was not given to me or my wife.

The hallways had a awful smell, we changed rooms twice, in two different building of the hotel & the 2nd room was as bad as the 1st one. The bathroom smelled like Sewege all weekend. We were given dirty face towels from house keeping. The 2nd night we were there I placed a order for food at the restaurant & there was hair found in my order. The manager did nothing about it, other than tell me, it wasn't anyone's hair from the kitchen...by then I was really over the stay there. I wish I could've gotten my money back for that whole weekend. I wouldn't recommend your hotel to anyone. It's horrible

The valet guy even showed us something that our rental car could do we didn't even know after 14 day's rent on the day we had to bring the car back.

Review 43：I loved my room in the Dorset section the hotel. So comfortable and clean with a fab rooftop pool area. Amazing location as I was able to walk to Art Basel and all the parties were local. The sushi restaurant was really excellent. The staff were super friendly and helpful. My hero was Jean Miller who made sure I was looked after like a queen. I will be staying here again for sure !

Review 44：Very rude staff on arrival, swearing and complaining about checking us in, leaving us with a poor first impression. They then proceeded to charge our cards twice for the room, leaving us with no spending money for our entire trip, we struggled to be able to afford meals and they did not try offer meal vouchers or any assistance to compensate for their mistakes. Leaving us with a bad experience of Miami, will not be returning here!

Review 45：A great part of the place smells musty and damp. Air conditioner in room was quite noisy. Some personnel at Bar & Restaurant were rude and unfriendly.

Review 67：Expensive given that breakfast is not included. It was a bit manic at reception desk as it was holiday. The system they have for checking in is terrible. I was told my card didn't have enough credit and I was forced to phone my bank only to find that it was a hotel system issue . That was an extra cost calling my bank on my irish cell phone! . The corridors are really stinky .. The walls are paper thin too so you can hear a lot which probably shouldn't! The hotel is a bit disjointed and could def do with interior upgrade. Suited more to young party goers and def not a hotel to relax in!!

Review 72：our room was extremly small , the air conditioning doesn´t permit you put the desired temperature. check out time at 11 AM is also extremly early in a beach hotel . I think the check out time should be 1 PM and the hotel has plenty of time to arrange the rooms if the check in time is 3 or 4 PM . When you pay a night in a beach hotel you want to USE the morning at the beach and that is imposible when your check out time is at 11 AM. I will not return to this hotel because or the extremly early check out time . I think the HOTEL is NOT CENTERED in the guest and is only thinking of what is better for the hotel but not for the guest .

Review 101：We were only 2 blocks from Lincoln Rd Mall and only 3 blocks from the top of Ocean drive. That location on Collins Avenue was excellent and the hotel had 3 buildings, one building had an Asian Sushi restaurant and another had Maxine's Bistro and the main building had a bar in the lobby...free mixed drinks(rum, vodka, or gin) from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Jose Arias, Concierge was extremely friendly and accommodating to us. Hotel has a free electric cart shuttle to take you anywhere around South Beach and also provides free shuttle from the hotel to the airport. We were even allowed late check out to 3:00 pm. We will surely stay there again in the future. We were also only 3 blocks from the Ritz-Carlton and the Royal Palm hotels. The Catalina also has 2 pools, one a large lap-type pool surrounded in a bamboo area and a rooftop pool with a pool bar.

Review 113：The way I got treated during the cocktail hour. I waited patiently to be served whilst most people who had been there from earlier got served at least twice before me. When I was finally able to address this I was told "So", which I perceived to be quite rude and is not the kind of customer service I'm used to. The end of the beds had scuffed boards that was not pleasing to the eye and the bathroom was quite small, had marked up mirrors and was also a disappointment. The roof top pool with the beds was also hard to access in terms of enjoying the beds as most were reserved for long periods of time without anyone using it on the occasions I went. As a hotel guest I thought that we would have been a priority but it turns out you have to book a bed a day in advance which was not made clear to me at the time of booking.

Review 118：We did not like the front desk service. The guy at the front desk was rude and didn't want to let us check in at 5:30 a.m because we arrived early from our flight. After receiving attitude from him, he decided to let us check in early with one of many extra fees of $60.00.

Review 134：A waitress charged us for happy our drinks which were free, then she took the food bill money and mixed it in with her personal tips and tries to say we only gave her two dollars for the bill. The Manager was aware of the situation and resolved the issue as we waited 1 hour for the check and 1 1/2 hour for her to collect the monies and credit card and another 1/2 hour to return the card which she couldn't find when we approached her for it. The other issue was the $100 deposit taken at check in was not returned and when I spoke to the hotel regarding this they advised me to contact my bank which had to reimburse me and get the ones back from the hotel.
