Review 8：The landlord is a joker who likes being called Mr Toad. "Mrs Toad does all the work and I do all the talking! How true. We arrived a bit road jaded to his welcome of "I know what you want - a gin and tonic!" Actually, being asked what we might want would have elicited the reply "a cup of tea". We had a spell of Mr Toad's drollery and gratuitous e.g. "The papacy moved to Avignon for a time.." We knew that, actually, having lived about an hour or two from that city for several years. We escaped for a pizza which was about the best on offer on the dreadful adjacent strip that has sucked the life out of uptown Butte. "Where did you dine tonight" enquired Mr T on our return, and we took a quiet pleasure in telling him. It didn't get better. The bed was like sleeping on a marshmallow and breakfast centred on poached eggs on scones with some gravy-like substance. No alternative was offered. We left and enjoyed two nights at the characterful, historic Finlen Hotel in Butte centre, but not before Mr T gave us a loud, parping farewell from the wheel of his T'Bird. A never to be forgotten (or repeated) experience!

Fresh scones and hot tea/coffee was brought to our room door at a time we had requested, and a wonderful breakfast was provided at a later hour -- again at the time we requested. The host (the "Toad" of Toad Hall Manor) was attentive and cleverly witty and his wife so gracious and meticulous. This has to one of the finest B & Bs in the entire western USA.

Review 20：Excellent service! My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay. We loved having a flexible schedule for breakfast after our morning run. It was so pleasant sharing breakfast on the veranda with other guests at the manor. If we ever our traveling through Butte again, we would definitely reserve a room at the manor. Review 21：Absolutely everything! From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed, we were treated as valued guests. The hosts are warm and welcoming, and are there to help you to remain comfortable and get the most out of your stay - they even made a reservation for us at an excellent restaurant. Our room was neat and tidy, our bed comfortable, and our bathroom spacious. Waking up to scones and coffee was a nice touch, and that was followed by a lovely breakfast that took our dietary restrictions into consideration. We only wish we had booked another night! My wife and I had a lovely time and will be sure to make Butte a destination, just to experience Toad Hall Manor again.

From the moment we walked into the Manor, we felt the specialness of the place and the people running it. At dinner, we decided to stay an extra night as we were enjoying Butte and the B&B so much. Review 57：Honestly I would need to get really picky to find things negative... About the only things I could could say are more technology based such as the fact that there is classical music piped in throughout the house and u cannot change it in your suite. You can turn off the music but, then there is nothing... There were however, clock radios in the bedrooms and a CD player in the bathroom. If there was an additional set of speakers that accommodated an iPod or something that would be great. Also, we had a DVD we brought but, the tv had a VCR and I know that was in the listing but I never really comprehended it. That was my fault. The technological stuff could only accent the other amazing aspects of this property and the hosts! We were very pleased and felt very pampered!!!
