Reviews for Marriott Conference Center at NCED
Review 1:we came into town for an OU football game, the weather was colder than expected so we left the game early and were surprised that there was not cable to the hotel - even in the bar - so we couldn't watch the game
Review 2:location was great -room was very clean and comfortable
Review 3:I checked in and left my belongings and then attended the OU football game. When I came back my belongings were gone and the bed linen was piled up on the bed. I had to change rooms.
Review 4:Reduced the price by 20% after my belongings were taken by cleaning staff and room left in shambles.
Review 5:Bathrooms are extremely small. The rooms are somewhat small and only have queen size beds.
Review 6:They have an amazing breakfast buffet that is included in the room rates.
Review 7:double rate on high use weekends--football weekends--I understand hotels need to maximize profits during high demand, however, when a guest stays over 5 nights and is charged double on 2 of those nights seems excessive. also, room was not cleaned one day and I wasn't offered any compensation for my inconvenience.
Review 8:facility was great-rooms small but adequate for single traveler
Review 9:Room a little small but for the price can be overlooked.
Review 10:every thing said about the Hotel is true.Staff excellent ,breakfast buffet outstanding ,room clean, the property itself very well maintained
Review 11:i don't like that the prices change for each game. As much as I would like to stay each time at NCED there are times we are forced to stay elsewhere do to pricing. It use to not be like that.
Review 12:usually try to stay at NCED during football season, we like the convenience of the location and the shuttle to the stadium
Review 13:The bathrooms were allittle small.
Review 14:The lobby was great. Breakfast was great. Desk staff were awesome at check in. Really enjoyed my stay and have already recommended it.
Review 15:Price is too high for the size of the room. Bar is understaffed for large crowds. No participation in Marriott's Reward Program.
Review 16:Cleanliness and friendly staff
Review 17:Definitely enjoyed stay at NCED. We were in town for Kevin Durant camp and when we weren't at camp this facility had plenty of things to keep you entertained.Full size Bball court, huge pool, billiards room, ginormous weight room, etc. We'll be back.
Review 18:I would have liked to have a pillow that was between the super soft pillow and extremely firm pillow. Also the bed didn't seem to have any give to it. If there was a mini fridge then I could have keep my drinks cold.
Review 19:But all in all I really enjoyed my stay! Friendly atmosphere, very clean environment and plenty of things to do to keep everyone busy!! Great breakfast selection.
Review 20:It was too big for an older couple like ourselves. Also too noisy as the guests, whilst we were there were nearly all teens and whilst polite were not quite our "cup of tea" for a restful stay.
Review 21:Everything was A1
Review 22:It's wasn't terrible, but for the price, the room was verydated. Also, confusing layout. We got lost several times.
Review 23:The story about the us Post service using it as a training facility.
Review 24:Always clean and well maintained. Staff were pleasant, cheerful and helpful. Room was adequate for our needs and the breakfast was as good as it gets.
Review 25:The size of the room was smaller than we are used to. We were disappointed we couldn't use our Marriott points like we were told when booking.
Review 26:All the amenities were great.
Review 27:No access to food when I arrived at 9:30 pm. The bar food service was stopped and there was no room service. Had to eat a cold sandwich from the convenience counter. Very unexpected.
Review 28:The room was the size of a large walk-in closet and the bathroom accommodates people small in stature...very small.
Review 29:The staff was great and the free breakfast enormous.
Review 30:The room was hot and it seemed that the air would go only so high. We could not control the thermostat. For the money our room was small and the view was awful!
Review 31:The staff was so helpful from late arrival to assisting with a last minute rental car. I also needed to have my shuttle time moved up a half hour (3:30 AM from 4 AM) and they cheerfully made it happen. The breakfast was amazing and despite a full booking, the place was nice and peaceful. Also great workout room. Plan on coming back often if I become and OU parent!
Review 32:It was the most expensive option. $200 for 1night and the vanity area and sink are so tiny that you can't brush your hair without having your elbows hit the walls or your toiletries fall into the sink because there is no room.
Review 33:the staff was helpful.
Review 34:Very small room. Am a petite female and I found the room was a "tight"fit
Review 35:Breakfast was fabulous. There was a lot of variety and fresh fruit.
Review 36:The hotel was very hard to find. We could see no sign on the main road and drove around for quite a while trying to find it, despite having gps. We also found the bed to be too hard.
Review 37:We visited during the holidays, and saw few other guests. The price was deeply discounted and the hotel was very quiet. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable.
Review 38:Room was small. Was told we were getting a "king" room, but it was a "queen" bed. The room itself was quite small, especially the bath and sink area.
Review 39:Like the quietness of the hotel. Also liked the breakfast.
Review 40:I had paid for two rooms for the night and due to one party being very ill, we had to leave by 9:15pm but I was not even offered a discount.
Review 41:The facility has a great location.
Review 42:The only thought I have are related to the rooms. The pillows and bed were not very comfortable. The size of the room was small.
Review 43:The facility far exceeded our expectation. The food was yummy.
Review 44:There was so much to do at this place! And free popcorn. Loved the ou spirit. Helpful employees and all kinds of athletic possibilities. They even had a shuttle to the football game.
Review 45:The noise of some guest in the courtyard. .. it can be a little loud on ou weekend. I suggest that if this is a problem ensure that you get a room facing the outside of the hotel.
Review 46:The included breakfast was like non other. I had to ask several times do I have to pay because the amount of chioce and freshness was not normal to me
Review 47:The size of the room was a bit small, but who stays in there room all day.
Review 48:The amenities are the bomb. I was on R&R from Afghanistan; I flew out on Sunday thru Dubai back to Afghanistan. My Family and friends of my son all meet up in Norman Friday night to BBQ with our College boys. We stayed and watch the OU Football game and hung out in the gym playing basketball, Volleyball, Ping pong, pool and even had time to take advantage of the hot tub and sauna. The route 66 Cafe was great. The buffet breakfast was the best. The staff members were great throughout the Hotel. I will always stay here when I go to visit my son at OU. Even thou our room was a bit small we had a fold out bed.
Review 49:The rooms are extremely small and they stopped serving food at midnight, and on game day weekend I think they should offer a late night menu.
Review 50:cleanliness
Review 51:I think the room rates for game day is ridiculous.
Review 52:I like that I can take the shuttle to the game. I also like that the shuttle is there waiting for you with no waiting. The breakfast buffet is very good.
Review 53:Size of room pretty small. No room for toiletries. Needed a bigger bathroom area. Might have been perfect for 1 though.
Review 54:Fitness facilities, location, cleanliness.
Review 55:For the small rooms, the price on game day has gotten to be a bit excessive. Also, the breakfast quality seems to not be as high as last year. However, breakfast is plentiful.
Review 56:Convenient.
Review 57:I thought the breakfast was ok...The bed was so hard and I didn't get any sleep , only 2 towels , very small bathroom and makeup area...blow dryer smoked when turned in....very badly needs upgraded , the bathroom had pink tile...shower curtain looked so old!! I will not stay here in the future.
Review 58:Room was Tiny. Plus, don't expect the "Free" breakfast to be "Fresh" if you get to it after 10am. I think they make it at ALL at 6am.
Review 59:Clean rooms.
Review 60:The room sizes, it would be nice to have the option to upgrade the room size to be able to spend more comfortable time in them!
Review 61:We loved the options of things to do! Between the workout center, the huge pool and the options for the fire pit, golf, and tennis. You would never run out of things to do! The breakfast buffet was amazin with everything anyone could want!
Review 62:Great Breakfast, love the popcorn, too!
