Review 1：I was given the very end room 512, wasn't happy about it. Too much noise coming from restaurant, next room is Housekeeping or Maintenance room, too much noise from housekeepers, chatting or simply getting their stuff. I'm trying to get some sleep after my paperwork for I the day but couldn't. I have to find another hotel after 3 nights of headaches. Only time it's quite & peaceful is on daytime.

Review 7：I booked a three night stay to visit my dying sister. I really only expected to have a place to sleep, knowing I would just be in the room a short period of time. The first night, after driving 11hrs, checked in at 1am. The bed was comfortable, until I stretched out and found my toes wrapped around a long hair. The hotel has a policy that they only wash the sheets every three days! Yes, the give you a "please wash my sheets" request tag you leave on the pillow for daily clean sheets. I don't care really, just wash them between guests. The second night I was emotionally and physically tired, found the bar that had bar food, it's looking better. I had clean sheets, thinking about not complaining about my friend "the hair". I sleep well enough, woke to no hot water in the entire hotel. Florida, was having a cold front and the cold shower did not set well! I go to the front desk, just to realize they over charged me from the price I was quoted on booking.com, plus added $100 security deposit. I then had enough and checked out of the hell hole and went to a different hotel.

Review 35：Never made it past the lobby. Room was paid for with credit card but upon arrival were told there was a deposit on the room. We wished to pay cash and they refused. This was a special weekend getaway for me a my spouse, one that we dont do often. Our means of payment is what suited us, and there was no indication that CASH was not accepted. Since Bay Harbor and its staff were unwilling to compromise our reservation was cancelled as well as our special weekend at the hotel we anticipated to stay in. Happy Holidays Bay Harbor!!

Review 36：We had a bay view room located near the Beach Restaurant that played very loud music until well after midnight. Luckily, we were only there for 3 days and didn't have to wake up early. The beautiful view may or may not be worth the loss of sleep if that's your goal.

Review 40：Housekeeping was not very good at helping us with our room. My son was getting spine surgery and we needed access to the room for his rest and comfort. We could not get the cleaner to clean our room so he could get back in and lie down. On two different days when we returned to the room, we were locked out. We had informed the Desk attendant on two occasions that our visit was extended 5 days, but we kept getting locked out. Our wake-up call on he morning he had surgery was not made. Thankfully I woke up in time for him to make the appointment ..

Review 41：It was close to the Spine clinic. The facility It was in relatively good condition, considering the age. Cost was good.

Review 42：The property was under restoration, so we had to do with working crews on the loby. During friday and saturday night its a very noisy place, but on weekdays its quiet. A/C works well but is quite noisy as it is of those tipes were the machine is inside the room.

Review 44：Last year the hotel had a welcoming feeling, the staff was friendly and accommodating. This year? They painted everything, and it has a very cold uninviting feeling now. The staff was OK, but as soon as you check in they charge you for your entire stay plus an extra hundred dollars for security deposit. The pool wasn't bad but the water wasnt clear by any means. People were swimming in their clothes not suits, and being loud and unpleasant. The hotel was more expensive this year, why I don't know. Seems the quality went down. Andddd the restaurant isn't hogans beach bar, its just beach. Food was bland at best. My son refused to eat the Mac and cheese and my taco s were not tasty to say the least. I guess there was a back up in someone's room but they didn't tell the floor. Oh my did it smell like sewage for hours. All in all, the view you pay extra for is worth it, the balconys help make the time there so much better. It was such an awesome hotel last year. I don't know why they changed it so much, it was better the way it was.

Review 48：The down side of the bay view (at least on a Friday night) is that there is a lot of noise from the restaurant/bar which is also on the bay side of the hotel. Fortunately, I was really tired and the air conditioner fan gave me enough white noise so I could fall asleep. And the noise was gone by 11 pm...which was a nice surprise!

Review 49：I paid the extra for a balcony, bay view. I was very happy with this when I was able to sit there and enjoy the view in the morning. There were manatees in the water near the hotel pier.

However, I thought that we might be offered a discount on our room for the inconvenience when we checked out the next morning - but nothing was mentioned to us.

Review 74：There were a number of drunken rowdies whooping it up @ 2 am, and some immature jerk thought that it would be "fun" to run up and down the halls knocking on everyone's door at 4:30 am. Where is security? Aren't there security cameras with someone paying attention to them in the building? The facility is currently undergoing some renovation at this time.

Review 75：The location was very nice, the hotel & grounds were pretty standard. The "coffee pot" in the room was very small (1) 6oz cup. However, the complimentary coffee in the lobby was good.

Review 77：The staff was excellent. Tom, our shuttle driver, made the trip that much better for us. He was helpful, always cheery and one of the nicest people we met in Tampa.

Review 78：The staff were uninspiring the guy on reception when we checked in hardly said 2 words to us. As we expected they were to take the room charge from the card on arrival. They then said they needed to put a hold on an additional $50 which wasn't a problem. Usually in this case the 2 payments are done separately. So the room charge should be fully authorized straight away and a hold should be put on the $50 for incidentals. Then when you leave the $50 takes 5 days to release. Here they put a hold on the full amount on arrival of over $150 then when we left the next day they authorized an additional amount for the room charge. We were travelling with mainly cash and just had funds on our debit card for the few additional hotels/car rental so we found this very bad practise and not the norm. When I rang them a few days later and got through to an unhelpful manager she said they had released the payment on their side so it was my bank. I rang my bank to check and found unsurprisingly that the information was incorrect. When they put the hold on the account they have 5 days to authorize it after that it releases automatically. Overall stay was just ok - expected a bit more as it wasn't the cheapest hotel we had picked.

Review 79：The location is lovely. Right on the coast and it was so nice to sit @ Hogans Beach restaurant and eat dinner have a drink and watch the sun set. We paid extra for a king size room with a view of the carpark! Room was spacious and clean

Review 86：When we arrived at the hotel, we were told there were no rooms available at the moment. They said they were overbooked- because of the Taylor Swift concert, I guess. We were asked if we could wait 45 minutes and then a room the quality that I requested would become available. I had two 14 year old girls that needed to get ready for the concert and they were already getting anxious about the time. So, I agreed to take a much lower quality room for the time being, with promises made that I could switch to a better room later. The room smelled like a dog had been in it, and the balcony faced the parking lot instead of Tampa Bay. After several calls asking if a better room- facing the Bay, was available, I was finally told there would be no other room available-they were booked solid. I was charged a lesser amount for this room, but I was not happy. Of course, we made it through the night, and we were allowed late check-out. In closing, I have to say that the staff at the front desk appeared to be totally overwhelmed, and overall, they were not very helpful.

Review 92：The first day we had only a few room towels given to us but we let it slide. The second day we were given fewer towels so we called the front desk and they brought them up. The third day we were not given any towels and had to call the front desk again. I stayed at this hotel thinking that we could swim in the ocean but as it turns out, this is the bay and the locals call it "black water". Not the best to swim in. The hotel did have a pool but only had a few lounge chairs and all of them were taken. The room didn't have a microwave but there was one by the ice machine but it was a mess with food all over the inside. It stayed in that condition all three days. I will never stay here again.

Review 93：No ice bucket, and maid spoke no english when we asked for one. The beds were very uncomfortable. Traffic was loud. One night there was a man outside our window catching fish and killing them with a hammer..yes we could hear it, even with the window closed. I hope he wasnt from the restaurant!

Review 95：The maid service could use a little tweaking. Getting towels was like pulling teeth. We used our towels for the pool (which should be provided poolside btw. Why do they have a bin for use towels but dont but u have to usethe one's from your room?) And we as k came back to the room and no new towels after they cleaned! No towels to take a shower! Husband asked the maid in hall for new one's and she said they were out!!!! Are ukkidding! So she just decided not to leave any? We did call down to front desk and they sent up some. Also on another day we didn't even get any maid service.

Review 96：Great location with a beautiful view of the bay and the sunsets are amazing! Great value! We saw dolphins 3x as well! The Beach Bar was great with good Happy Hour. Olivia was more than accommodating. They don't have pool side servie but she went out of her way to wait on us the days she worked. Also, Darling the front desk rep was very accommodating. Also if you are here on leisure make sure you pay a little extra for ocean view and ask for a top floor room.

When I told them I had been up all night from listening to people scream in the hallways and all the music, the response I received was... Didn't you read the reviews? WOW, unreal..... I'm in marketing and sales, what I should've heard was.... you have the worst room in the hotel, I'm sorry this is all that is available, would you still like it? Instead, they told me to go to booking.com and reserve my room and write any request I had and they would try to accommodate upon arrival.....I was there to see family staying at hotel, apparently their known as a party hotel. My family staying a few days until they went off on their cruise.Very unprofessional at this hotel....Oh and No towels the next day for the pool, my relatives were sitting on hot, plastic chairs.

Review 115：The only problem was the travelers in the room next door at the head of my bed either were playing video games or loud music. The walls vibrated until past 1:00 AM. The next day was the first day of a manditory class I was in Tampa for and I was over tired. Would have loved to spend time at the beach or pool but terrible weather. Mother Nature did not cooperate.

We requested the top floor facing theBay which we received, so we were able to watch Fireworks for 2 hoursall over Tampa Bay and up/down the beaches (St. Pete Beach toClearwater Beach)! Really cool balconies that are separate but also ableto socialize with neighbors and enjoy the holiday weekend. Front Deskstaff was very friendly, in person and on the phone, even with all ofthe guests coming and going on such a busy holiday.

Review 129：The room was not very clean. We had 2 double beds. One bed was fine but the bedding on the other, although it looked fine, smelled soiled. I stripped the bed all the way down to the mattress and discovered the mattress also smelled. I also found what looked like crumbs on the mattress, gross. I called room service and they sent up new bedding, including a comforter. It seemed to be clean but knowing the mattress was soiled still made me extremely uncomfortable and I did not sleep well. Lastly, while barefoot, I stepped on 2 used hairpins in the floor. The location is nice and the view beautiful but not worth it if the room is unsanitary.

Also, the pool wasnear our room and that added a bit to the noise level at times. Finally,the traffic is awful in Tampa. You have to time your departures andarrivals based on the work-day traffic.

Review 135：We had the Bay View room. Extremely good value for the money. Enjoyedvery nice scenery during our 7-night vacation! The cleaning personnelwere very nice about leaving everything exactly where we had left thingsbefore leaving for the day's activities. The staff went out of theirway to help us find good food, malls, etc. They even printed outrecommendations since we forgot to bring our printer. Wonderful place!

Review 136：The wifi is free because it's almost nonexistent out of the 7 days there I might of had wifi a total of 2 days. I took a city view I never would of figured that city view met looking though a palm tree at the parking lot. The coating on bottom of the tub was peeling. Positive note staff was nice and the place overall was clean. I have stayed at a lot of hotels across the country and best western is one of my favorites always had great experiences there but I was very disappointed in this one and would not recommend.

Review 138：Pool area, not clean, people smoking in pool area buds on the ground, when we checked in, the staff at the front desk helped us correctly but they gave us the feeling that you disturbed them and were not really friendly, no complimentary breakfast in de room price ( only breakfast on the room for extra payment.) fire alarm went off a couple of times during our stay, we did see the firetruck pulling up in front of the hotel, we assume false alarm, no information from the staff, also no question asked about our stay when we checked out.

Review 139：Rooms are clean, beds are good, location at the bay is nice, take a room on the city site ( not on the sea site) so you will not hear the noise of Hogans bar at the harbor) balcony with every room.
