Reviews for Thai Thai Sukhothai Guesthouse
Review 1:nothing
Review 2:great location just outside the historic city. rent a bike for 50 baht for the day and enjoy the sights. this was a really enjoyable stay and i would go there again any time. (note: if you're arriving by bus from Chiang Mai, make sure to get off at the historic city already and don't go all the way to the new city)
Review 3:Nothing
Review 4:Fascinating hospitality, stylish interior with national elements, great location. They give you self-made guides with whole information you need in Sukhothai (where to eat, exchange money, what to see etc.). When you check out you and still have time before departure, you can leave your bags at the reception and take a shower later. Also they have complimentary tea/coffee available at any time. And the breakfast is very diverse and tasty.
Review 5:Only thing missing is a pool but we knew that before so that was fine!
Review 6:This was by far the best Hotel I've stayed in my 4 weeks in Thailand! I highly recommend this place! The staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful, the rooms are very nice and clean and the breakfast is also amazing!
Review 7:Garden view is really just looking out onto a row of bushes before the next building, but the window was wonderfully large and the view was just fine in the end.
Review 8:Everything here was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was beautiful, breakfast buffet was excellent, and it was an easy bike ride or walk into town. Overall, a very lovely stay.
Review 9:1) Guesthouse walls were super thin and definitely NOT soundproof - we could hear the couple next door having 'intimate time' at night. Curtains were also very thin so you can see shadows from the other side. 2) I also had food poisoning on my last day after eating their buffet breakfast. I'm sure the cooks are very hygienic but I suspect the food starts to go bad after being left in the room all morning (NB: it gets very hot and humid in Thailand). Perhaps I was just unlucky or not used to the bacteria in rural Thailand, but just keep this in mind if you intend to eat their breakfast late morning. Food poisoning is not fun.
Review 10:1) Super warm and friendly staff. They will arrange bus transfers and tuk tuk bookings on your behalf. 2) Clean, simple and adequately furnished rooms. Offers bicycle hire, which was very convenient. 3) Good value. Good location.
Review 11:I send email to ask for any pick up service/how to get to the guesthouse but no one reply. Not serving other meals other than breakfast, but the nearest restaurant is like 1km far. And the bike they provide for renting are quiet rusty... but still good to stay!
Review 12:Staff are really nice, really friendly. The environment of the guesthouse is good, quiet but you know there's someone around (safe should be the word I guess).
Review 13:Everything really good!
Review 14:Thai Thai Sukhothai Guesthouse is a magic place, one of the best place we stayed in thailand. 5 stars rooms, super nice and helpful staff. You'll love it!
Review 15:It was great to be so close to the Sukhothai ruins rather than staying in new Sukhothai. You are just a five minute bike ride away (via a cheap cycle rental from the hotel), or a 10-15 minute walk.
Review 16:The room was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, fully a/c and with en-suite bathroom. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and one can hire a bicycle for just 50 THB. Hotel is about 1.5 miles from the entrance to the main archaeological park and, with a bicycle, all the historic sites are easily accessed. Breakfast is included and vast quantities of buffet food (hot and cold; western and Thai) were provided, more than anyone could possibly eat ! The price (about £21 p.n.) was slightly more than I paid elsewhere in Thailand but, considering what is provided, it is exceptional value for money.
Review 17:swiming pool is missing some place to chill out hamock was for staff quality of byclyes was poor take away breakfast (early check out) was very very simple - especially if you compare the breakfast table in the morning
Review 18:good location at old sukothai not far away from the main attraction (historical park) very very friendly staff at arrival and very helpful all the way breakfast was very good selection
Review 19:Well, we only booked one night, hoping to stay more if we liked it. But then, they were full for the next night and we ended up staying at their sister house, which is a little cheaper but also very nice.
Review 20:This is the perfect hotel (well, could use a pool). Beautifully decorated, super cozy bed, nice bathroom and good amenities. A super plus for the breakfast! The Thai soup was the best. Staff is the star here. Nowhere in the world I have been treated so nicely and with such attention. Keep on the excellent work!
Review 21:The animals that were running around inside the roof of our villa, quite freaky and made it very hard to relax and go to sleep which was a real shame as everything else was perfect!
Review 22:Location was stunning, grounds of the resort are so beautiful, truly felt like a real escape!
Review 23:The map of the surrounding area offered by the guesthouse wasn't very accurate so trying to find a certain restaurant recommended by the staff proved to be difficult.
Review 24:The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was diverse and tasty.
Review 25:Room felt a bit small once you put your suitcase on the floor. Had to cycle in the dark for dinner at nearby restaurant.
Review 26:Nice breakfast. Completely insect proof room, with mosquito nets just to be sure!
Review 27:Walls of the room were too thin.
Review 28:Staff was really nice. Perfect position for the visit of the old city. A lady of the staff booked the bus tickets to Chiang Mai for us. Possibility to rent a bike.
Review 29:Noisy AC
Review 30:Good location in walking distance from the temples and restaurants, well-presented room, very kind staff, competitively priced in-house services like massage or beverages
Review 31:Compared to other guesthouses in thailand - only Thai TV channels . Atleast one or two English language channels will be good . - is above the average price for a night . But is worth is still good value for money . On this stay the room wasn't ready due to a repair needed to the air con . Can be frustrating if it's hot and you want to just get into the room and rest.
Review 32:This is my 3rd stay in 3 months so I do like the guesthouse quite well. Good location, great staff, facilities meet the needs . Clean and convenient . Breakfast is better than most other guesthouses in Thailand. Can pay by credit card which is very helpful.
Review 33:-We were there only one night. -They let you bicycle for making the tour in Sukhothai, but I did not find one that fit my size. They were very small.
Review 34:- Incredible room -Breakfast -Amazing service, they help us in everything that we need, and always with a huge smile, even when arriving very late at night -Location
Review 35:Beds were a little hard... But I think that's typical Thailand.
Review 36:Beautiful location. Loved the individual bungalows. Staff was so nice and very helpful!
Review 37:all good
Review 38:The staff was amazing ;) very helpful and polite, we booked a superior room and it was very cozy! the location is fantastic to rent a bike and cycle around the park.
Review 39:Bathroom a bit small
Review 40:Ideal guesthouse to visit Sukhothai: room are big comfortable and staff very helpful. From their place you can bike all around the old city. We recommend!
Review 41:The staff is very friendly, but they work only until 9 PM - it's a problem when you get hungry after that hour, because nearest shop is about 1km away. You have to rent a bike (50 THB per person per day) or hire a tuk-tuk to get to the old city, because it's 1,5 km away. Riding a bicycle in Sukhothai was a very nice experience, though :).
Review 42:Bungalows are well equipped, clean and comfortable. Two airconditioners, a kettle, tea and coffe, comfy beds, hot water - it all makes your stay very pleasant. The best thing is breakfast - you can choose from variety of continental foods and also mix it with thai cuisine, so you can start your day with a good dose of protein ;). Wi-fi connection was the best we had in Thailand.
Review 43:Size of the room. Small entrance to bathroom.
Review 44:The staffs at the hotel are very attentive and full sense of hospitality. They greet and warmly welcome you. Five stars service. I got a bungalow room which its size smaller than what I thought. Still comfortable for 2 with nice balcony over looking garden. Breakfast is not much variety but it's good.
Review 45:The staff was absolutely great: professional, kind, good English and thinking along. The location from the park is just a reminder short bike ride away, a number of nice restaurants nearby in walking distance.
Review 46:No pool (altho they say it's coming), so for longer stay you might choose something else nearby. Also the restaurant they currently recommend at number 1 in their guide was so so (and quite pricey), so better to choose another one. But these are minor.
Review 47:Everything! The staff was very friendly and helpful and very welcoming. The breakfast was very tasty and good selection. We got a nice print out guide with everything we needed in Sukhothai. Bike rental for 50 baht a day is perfect to explore the nearby ruins. And even after we checked out and spent a day in the ruins (taking an evening bus), we could take a shower (warning: no hot water in that one! (the room was ok)) and refresh. The bungalow was superb, clean, comfortable! Shame we only stayed 1 night, definetely would love to stay more!
Review 48:Although 3 nights booked through booking.com and confirmed we could just stay 2 nights and they moved us to the vieng tawan guesthouse 100m away for the last night free of charge. But we got the smallest and darkest room next to reception opposite the entrance. There was a frequent coming and going and a seating area that was heavily used till late. You can imagine the noise and the lack of sleep. If we had known we would have cancelled the whole thing. Also we didn't feel being treated fairly as others had to move as well and got an upgrade.
Review 49:Beautiful but small room in thai style with wooden floor and furniture on first floor with seating area in front, very quiet at night.
Review 50:Beautiful place, great helpful and very kind personel. Breakfast was great ! The best we've ever eaten in Thailand. Huge selection and thai dishes included. It is very close to the historical park. You can rent a bike in the guesthouse which allows you to see most of the Sukhotai's interesting areas. We did like the place so much we have extended our stay. Again thank you for the great hospitality.
Review 51:The staff is extremely kind and always ready to help you. The rooms are great. The location is great and not far from Sukhothai Historical Park. The breakfast is very good!!
Review 52:Stuff excellent, very nice and warm. Rooms very comfy, clean and quiet. Breakfast complete and very good. Location good, we went by car but you can also walk.
Review 53:Nothing!
Review 54:Staff were excellent and friendly and very helpful even giving advice on transport to your next destination. The accommodation was traditional an dcomfortable and the inclusive breakfast was excellent. The whole place was charming.
Review 55:If there were more rooms with twin beds, it'd be perfect!
Review 56:The hotel is really close to the historical park with Bikes. The hospitality of the staff was beyond expectations! I really enjoy my stay here!
Review 57:the only not good is, it is quite tired to reach with walking after 5.5 hrs journey.Well, can always get a tuk-tuk to go there which less than 5 mins.
Review 58:It's located at 5 mins driving from old city bus station. The environment is nice, the room is clean, and the staffs are friendly. Will stay back once I visit Sukhothai.
Review 59:It was pretty clairaudient. We could hear our room nighbours easily (talking & television).
Review 60:Very friendly and attentive staff, nice and clean room, breakfast was alright
Review 61:The bungalow was fantastic, the breakfast was really nice (both western and thai food) and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. It's by far the best place I have stayed at in Thailand. I highly recommend it
Review 62:We did not use the privilege, but the hotel provided a common room for showering and changing if past checkout time. Also, there was a handy and thorough printed guide to services and the local sits and restaurants.
Review 63:Staff is great. Hotel looks so lovely. Breakfast is considered as good comparing with the price. Highly recommended. We traveled as a group of 9 and booked 3 rooms / stayed 2 nights there. All friends liove this hotel
Review 64:The design of guesthouse is unique. Recommended to stay in bungalow. It's worth of money. Guesthouse's staff are very friendly and helpful, they can speak Mandarin and English.
Review 65:It's slightly far to the ruins, but not a big deal in a tuk-tuk or on a bike. Really, there's very little bad to say about this place.
Review 66:From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by helpful, kind staff in lovely uniforms. The property itself is exquisite, the room was spotlessly clean and well appointed, and services such as in-room massage, tuk-tuk to town, and bikes for rent were all provided. An excellent place to stay, and phenomenal value for the price.
Review 67:Nothing negative can be said
Review 68:Personnel very attentive, charming room with balcony, excellent breakfast, possibility of having massage in your room. Everything is just simply perfect here
Review 69:That is too bad about the dinner, we need to go out. Hopefully it is at 250m from the guesthouse.
Review 70:We liked the location, 20mn on foot to go to the park! The employees were welcoming and helpfully, there is a good buffet for breakfast and the bedroom is very clean.
Review 71:Pool under construction. WiFi was interupted but staff fixed it.
Review 72:Location is perfect for visiting old sukhothai historical Park. Rent a bike at the hotel for 50b 24h which is recommended for historical Park. Extremely friendly staff
Review 73:great place, perfect staff, on arrival we received some informations about everything like restaurants recommendation, bike rental, costs for bus, tuktuk, taxi, timetables for the buses and so on, that was perfect, we wish we could have stay longer just to enjoy this place more, its like a little village
Review 74:No safe in the room, no swimming pool would really be the only things if I had to find something.
Review 75:Everything Massage possible, bike rental available. Close to the site, really friendly and helping staff. Awesome room, tasty breakfast.
Review 76:Even though it is included in the price, the breakfast can be improved to befit everything else that are so nice about the hotel, especially the coffee (which is single-serving packets of Nescafe instant).
Review 77:Very friendly and helpful staff who attend to guests' needs with beautiful Thai smiles. The facility is well designed in traditional Thai decor. Reasonably priced. Conveniently located for driving or bicycle ride to the historical sites.
Review 78:Staff were superb and went out of their way to assist us and another couple who needed medical attention. Breakfast buffet was great. Delightful bungalow with front porch.
Review 79:- Few opportunities for dinner in the surrounding area. These are probably more prevalent in New Sukothai.
Review 80:- Location; close to the historical parc, you can hire a bike at this location - Breakfast (buffet) - Friendly staff, very helpful! - Clean, attractive room in beautiful bungalow.
Review 81:The location was pretty but quite isolated, and about half a mile from the site - which is quite far when you have no transport except bikes. There were also no shops or restaurants after 10pm!
Review 82:The hotel is set in a very pretty location, and the staff were extremely friendly. The breakfast was buffet and had a good selection. It had bike renting facilities at the hotel.
Review 83:Nothing to complain about!
Review 84:Super friendly staff. Location close to historical park. Clean and comfortable rooms , good breakfast. Real good value for money!
Review 85:Really nice place, charming staff, good breakfasts and good value for money! Close to Sukhothai old city, they rent bikes so you can visit the park. Best choice for visiting Sukhothai
Review 86:The bicycles we rented from them are too old. When you ride them,You would not feel comfortable.
Review 87:The service at the counter is very good. When contact with them, you feel very happy.
Review 88:We had the best time here. The staff was very welcoming offering us a file with a map and the best location to visit with recommendations of good places to eat (Sukhothai Kitchen just near the hotel is amazing and cheap). The staff also take very good care of us, they buy us our bus tickets to go to Chiang Mai and book us a tuktuk to go to the bus station the next day (at a good price). You can also rent a bike for 50 bat a day directly at the hotel. And the room was very nice and clean with a beatiful bathroom! We really recommend you this place to stay!!!!!
Review 89:Construction noise in the morning (building right behind our room). Breakfast food less than average, no real coffee (only nescafe) and some chemical juice, greasy eggs.
Review 90:Nice staff, lovely room.
Review 91:Being picky, a pool would have been nice to cool down in.
Review 92:Staff was absolutely amazing, rooms were modern, comfortable and very spacious. Would highly recommend to others. Breakfast was great too.
Review 93:The absence of a swimming pool must be one of the only disadvantages.
Review 94:The people from Thai Thai Sukothai were very friendly and made us really enjoy our stay. We arrived very early in the morning (7am) and obviously, our room that we had booked last minute at 6am was still occupied. Nonetheless, they made sure we could take a shower before renting one of their bikes (50tbt) to head for the old Sukothai (which is about 1km from the guesthouse). Upon return, our room was upgraded to compensate for the "inconvenience". A very friendly and unforeseen gesture! The massage in the room is a nice option! The breakfast was nice with a mix of Western and Asian food. We would definitely recommend on staying here!
Review 95:Such a lovely place and friendly, helpful staff. Very good location. I took advantage of their bike hire. It was so easy to get to and around the historical park.
Review 96:A bit dark at night on the road near the guesthouse. Not variety of restaurants in the area.
Review 97:Staff are very polite and friendly. Good location and environment. Near the historic area.
Review 98:Plan only for historical park and surroundings, skip te "new city"
Review 99:Accomodation near Historical parc, Friendly and helpfull staf, Handout of a usefull location map, Bicycle rent for 50 baht.
Review 100:Noise and dusty construction-work next door. Wifi very weak in room. Service-staff in breakfast-room speaks and understands no English at all. A bit far from everything - you need a car or bike if you don't want to walk 20-30 minutes to ancient city
Review 101:Room: Spic and span.
Review 102:the historical park is not in walking distance as most guesthouses claim, takes 10-15 min by bike or 45 min walk
Review 103:extremely friendly staff, beautiful towel arrangement on the bed and tasteful comfortable room for a good price
Review 104:The facility is very attractive. All the staff speak English and are very friendly and helpful. They are very well organized to provide information and coordination for visits, etc. Rooms are very comfortable.
Review 105:The staff was absolutely delightful and so helpful. Allowed me to check in early as I took the early flight from Bangkok. Staff provide you with several handouts regarding transport, food and highlights to see in the area- this was so helpful. The facilities are excellent and I certainly recommend staying in one of their bungalows which really do match if not even exceed the pictures shown on booking.com. Breakfast is great! Extended my stay and hope to be back sometime in the future to relax at this wonderful guesthouse in Sukhothai!
Review 106:I would suggest to get the bungalow because it is more quite not facing the main road
Review 107:Great location if you want to visit the historical park. You can cycle up to there in less than 10 minutes. The rooms are nice and clean. There is not much around the area but all you need for visiting the park. Seven/eleven and two good restaurants can be easily reached from the hotel. The Staff is absolutely nice, both girls at the reception can speak English and are willing to provide you all kind of information you might need. We have booked from the reception also the bus to get Chiang Mai. I would recommend Tha Thai Thai to everybody!
Review 108:There's no staff between 9pm and 6am at the reception. And it's ha to find the right location without the sign .
Review 109:The Staff always keep smiling to us, feeling comfortable. And u can receive detailed information when u check in .
Review 110:No swimming pool.
Review 111:Extremely kind staff, cute bungalows with comfy beds, super clean. Very good the Thai massage service they offer. Very good value for money. Definitely recommendable.
Review 112:Bicycles for rent could be of higher quality and different sizes. I could hear the TV from adjacent room.
Review 113:Excellent room, overwhelmingly courteous staff, good buffet breakfast and great location.
Review 114:Nothing, just leaving.
Review 115:Staff were awesome, helping with everything. Massage service in room was perfect after a day walking the historical park. Rooms are lovely, comfy and silent. Good breakfast and really good location, near the park and a few restaurants with great food at great price.
Review 116:If we have to say something negative we may say that there isn't a bar.
Review 117:The staff was so friendly and they helped us booking our bus tickets. Moreover, they gave us many advices such us having dinner in a restaurant called Sinvana. The hostel was near the park by bike and the breakfast was pretty good (toasts, bacon, eggs, juices, fruit...).
Review 118:everything was great.
Review 119:The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. They were polite and caring. They were very informative about the local area. The room was very comfortable and clean. Location was excellent, in walking distance of main sights.
Review 120:breakfast could be better
Review 121:beautiful place, full of charme, quite and refined in every detail . staff helpful and exquisite. great location to visit sukkothai temples.
Review 122:The bicycles rented from the guesthouse are quite old. But I guess most bicycles in the area are like that. They are still ok for seeing the nearby sites...given the slow speed, you can visit the surroundings very safely :)
Review 123:The helpful and friendly staff are always smiling. The whole guesthouse is clean with a very nice decor. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast too. Probably the best guesthouse we stayed in Thailand for a 2-week trip.
Review 124:Nothing! Everything was perfect!!!
Review 125:Excellent staff, always ready to provide help and suggestions in anyoccasion. Lovely locations, clean and peaceful at few hundreds metersfrom the old city. We took a bikes for free ( provided by the hotel) andwe visited all the sites around the old city. Again a best place to stayin Shukothai for a relaxing journey.
Review 126:The breakfast could be better : real coffee (coffee machine) and an egg station would be appreciated
Review 127:We especially liked the warm welcome, this is Thai hospitality at it's best, I've been coming to Thailand for over 18 years now and this is the BEST reception staff ever!!! Message to the manager : double their wages so they don't run away to a 5-star luxury resort (-; The rooms are far above average as well : basic but very comfortable and extremely clean. Another plus is the wifi : flawless at all times! Overall a place we really RECOMMEND, thanks for everything, we'll be back!!
Review 128:difficult to find nice places to eat. you have to travel rather far (by taxi ) to get to restaurants.
Review 129:Rooms/bungalows; quiet place. very good Thai massages for a fair price
Review 130:Bed was uncomfortable, but guess it's the Thai habit to have them like that!
Review 131:Very close to the Historic Park.Staff super nice and helpful. Room was clean and new, in thai style
