Reviews for Good Nite Inn Redwood City

Review 1:Hmm...if I were to think of a dislike, I guess that it would be that there was no in-room mini-fridge, but that's no deal breaker. I'm from a smaller town so the price was a little higher than what I would have liked to pay, but for the area, I understand that it was very reasonable.

Review 2:Had a great stay at the Good Nite. The staff was very professional & friendly. Even the housekeeping people & security; all very pleasant. The on-site parking is great. The grounds & pool were very clean & well kept. This is a bit nerdy but I really liked the towels & washcloths, they were very...exfoliating. Very nice! The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were substantial. I slept very comfortably, plus there's an IHOP right next door. Walking distance from the Broadway & theater district.

Review 3:The no breakfast thing ..only serve coffee n tea...years ago they used to give pastries atleast.

Review 4:The price is pretty affordable. I love the cleanliness n friendliness of the staff. Ahmad at the front desk is awesome each time we come.

Review 5:...furniture was somewhat worn and carpet had a few stains. No coffee in room.

Review 6:...nice grounds and pool. Good size room furnished with desk and couch. Room were clean. Very good value for the area. Good location, close to restaurants and downtown Redwood City. Ample parking.

Review 7:The room was clean. The sofa in the room was disgusting - arms terribly soiled. TV did not have a clear picture.

Review 8:the front desk staff were polite and helpful.

Review 9:Bed was very hard, lots of freeway noise and the AC was very noise kicking on and off all night.

Review 10:Very clean, easy access on and off freeway, very friendly staff.

Review 11:dark, not too clean, pictures of the room and state of the room did not fit with each other.

Review 12:near to highway, easy to reach San Francisco In the neightbourhood there are fuel stations and fast foods

Review 13:Our mattress was very uncomfortable and my husband said he could smell old puke that had been cleaned up but still lingered

Review 14:I like the location and for the price it is ok

Review 15:Could not change the source on the TV and the staff did not try to help. Unpleasant order. Dim lit halls, rough paint job, etc Mold in sliding door track for tub.

Review 16:Awful! Checked in to one room, tv didn't work and slider door didn't lock either. called downstairs and maintenance was suppose to called. called 45 minutes later to get an update maintenance was never called. Got moved to a second room, smelly, drity and door din't log again. Will be calling bank!

Review 17:Could hear every step from upstairs. The pressure from the shower was horrid, it would just drop straight down with not much water coming out.

Review 18:Low price

Review 19:no fridge in the room, room a little bit dark

Review 20:location: perfect place close to SF aiport for the day before the flight (15-20 min by car). Staff: nice and efficient Room: confortable bed, room big enough

Review 21:Wild raccoons on property. Door to room not airtight. Lobby check in was through window after 11 pm. My security exposed in parking lot which was dimly lit and not enogh spaces.

Review 22:The aircon was quite bad - it was very noisy and it was hard to regulate the temperature - sometimes it's too cold and then it will shut off by itself which will then leave the room stuffy

Review 23:This was our first motel after landing on SF. We wanted a cheaper place to stay and after a 15 hour flight we had a good night sleep and were ready to move on the next day. Next door you have a iHop. Great food there .

Review 24:2nd floor no elevator. Refrigerator made humming noise all night. Plugs to plug in phone to charge was old and plug kept falling out of wall. Wifi info not given at check in.

Review 25:Price

Review 26:Room was run down and the carpet was grotty. No chair for the balcony. Only one bedside table and no extra blankets or pillows. Paid too much for what it offered.

Review 27:The garden area.

Review 28:Limited wifi user per room, bed is uneven already...too used, towels are not replaced completely, no microwave per room (we have to wait til 6am for the lobby to open so we can heat food).. No breakfast... The first room we stayed has the yuckiest drainage... Water stays at the tub for awhile... Free coffee is only until certain time of the day

Review 29:Nice housekeeping guy (old guy)

Review 30:The bathroom was dirty. The bath tub was dirty and so was the bathroom floor. There were cigarette butts on the balcony, and it was a no smoking room!!

Review 31:I was so exhausted I could have slept anywhere and said it was good, but the bed was comfortable.. a good value for the area.

Review 32:I had told them 3 times about the mold in the shower, I finally went out ans bought bleach myself to clean it. I told room service about water leaking & even though they promised to take care of it they didn't. I got up in the middle of the night slipped on the water & hurt my hip. Corp offered me $50 as compensation. Three chiropractor appts ($225) later before I could walk without pain.

Review 33:Staff was friendly

Review 34:Room being cleaned when we checked in at 3pm, no one told us; we found the housekeeper there.Water turned off for 3 hours 2nd day. Fire alarm went off at 9:30pm 3rd day. Water turned off for 8 hours 4th day. No cold water available when water turned back on. Had to flush toilet by filling ice bucket w/hot water and dumping in tank. 5th day plumber came to fix cold water in room; took 3 hours.Had to get use of another room to take showers. Were told to use IHop next door for toilet needs when water was off. Moldy shower curtain got replaced,no stopper in tub, so no bath possible. Had 25% credit for each day we had water/toilet issues. Should have been 50% off entire bill. Booked a smoking room but got there and the place had gone smoke free after we booked. Had to smoke in parking lot. Had to go to daughter's 2 graduation ceremonies w/no showers in 2 days!

Review 35:The coffee was delicious. Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly while coping with water issues. Housekeeping tried, but did not quite succeed in maintaining towels etc for bathroom.Pool was nice.

Review 36:The non evident earthquake damage was repaired. The dark carpeting makes me wonder how clean they are. A small thing, but the door locks are frustrating to get into again this year.

Review 37:The location was exactly in between my families homes. The Inn was fine for just me. It's the type of place that's good just to sleep in. This is nowhere near any resort area.

Review 38:The hallway to our room was very dark and appeared something was going on in several rooms. We wondered if this was a half way house. I tried to find another available room within 30 miles up to 300 per night and couldn't, (lots of graduations, etc. I wish my husband had a gun because neighbor of us felt safe. How can I get a refund?

Review 39:nothing, the chair looked like it had been picked up off the freeway, drag marked all along side , back and leg. Bathroom appeared cleaner than room except neighbor my or my husband has black hair

Review 40:I had a single room (2) and a double room (4) and was disappointed that there was no fridge in the single bedroom. i know everyone is trying to save money but a continental breakfast would be awesome.

Review 41:Clean and comfortable. Liked the private balcony. Located close to many restaurants and shops.

Review 42:The room wasn't cleaned a couple times during our stay and one of the female receptionists was very rude

Review 43:Beds were comfortable and location was great to where we needed to be

Review 44:Highly allergic to smoke. Smokers too close to balcony:( only complaint though....

Review 45:Upgraded room when I told them it was too loud and smokers outside my balcony to a beautiful pool view, very quiet:))Athena and Sandra are wonderful.

Review 46:There wasn't a refrigerator in my single room. Wish there was breakfast (continental even would be fine). Wifi was going in and out.

Review 47:Overall was a great convenient location near the freeway. I liked the private balcony.

Review 48:I had a "balcony" room on the ground floor. The "balcony" had no furniture and faced the sound barrier wall between it and US 101, about 20 feet away. Worse, however, ceiling was apparently wood rather than concrete, and I could hear every footstep of the person in the room above mine. People are entitled to do what they want at any hour, but the noise of them walking around at 3 AM was infuriating.

Review 49:The room was spartan but clean and everything worked.

Review 50:I know this is being nitpick ,but it would be nice if they had an internet terminal where patrons can print out whatever they need to print.

Review 51:The beds were comfortable. The swimming pool was really nice. The price of the hotel was affordable. It is within walking distance of K-mart for all your needs.

Review 52:No breakfast. There was a ihop next door so you didn't have to go far for breakfast.

Review 53:Nice room and ok bathroom. Good pool, not heatet though. Really friendly staff.

Review 54:Old furniture which made the room look soort of shabby. Traffic noise is considerable. Lights in the room are a bit too faint.

Review 55:Clean bathroom and sheets. Low price. Staff cordial.

Review 56:Book me in a smoking room when I needed a non smoking room. Room looks latch broke off the door. Got locked out of room. Room key didn't work each day.

Review 57:Location Near Place Of Business

Review 58:Door keys are tricky. You have to pull before you push.

Review 59:This is a clean comfortable & functional hotel. There is a fridge in the room and good basic wifi, and even a balcony. No breakfast (though IHOP is on property) or fitness room but what do you expect for $60/night in Silicon Valley?

Review 60:Comfortable beds. I have two little ones so the room was spaces for them to run around an a nice pateo to play on. The heater an air works great property very clean staff was great⭐️

Review 61:the staff was rude, when booking the motel on booking.Com I was told there was no deposit required when I get to the hotel they wanted $100 deposit and was very confrontational even disrespectful about the deposit

Review 62:Easy to find

Review 63:The receptionist let us wait outside in the cold for few minute in the cold, while she was with other people. It doesn't feel safe and my wife was afraid to go outside of the room. The room was a bit dirty. I would pay more and go to a better place.

Review 64:The reservation clerk told me there was no rooms but then I was able to go on booking.com and get a room he was pissed complaining the whole time told me he thought he turned the computer off he said that kind of crap always happens with booking.com needless to say I got a room thanks to booking.com but it wasn't a great stay the initial contact with the reservation clerk ruin my trip

Review 65:Came back to our room at almost 7 pm and no one had been in to make bed, or bring clean towels, would be nice to have come back to clean towels.

Review 66:Good price for what you get, close to many places to eat, shop, not a bad drive to and from SF.

Review 67:Nothing...

Review 68:Athena and other front desks are all very nice and helpful. The hotel is all good with Wifi, cable TV, bath tub. Location is very close to city center. Will come again if travel in redwood city again.

Review 69:asked to have a clock in the room and the clerk said that they were getting stolen and they would not replace. I have a deluxe room. carpets very dirty. maintenance could be a lot better. just the little things are not being taken care of

Review 70:provided coffee in the morning beds comfortable

Review 71:No toilet paper in the bathroom when we arrived late at night. Right on freeway and very noisy. Wall heater was very old and loud. No extra blankets.

Review 72:Location for my needs was good. Bed was okay

Review 73:Nothing too bad...they tell you now pool & balconies are closed. Bring extension plug if you have more than 2 devices...

Review 74:Staff and location worked well. Room service was good.

Review 75:No complaints.

Review 76:Staff was very friendly and even upgraded my room without me asking...very cool! Nice and *quiet* on my night there...a Saturday night, no less. None of the drama from other guests usually experienced at Motel 6. I checked out well-rested and happy, and left a mini-fridge full of Sam Adams (I didn't drink that night) for the staff to enjoy!

Review 77:the bugs -- saw 2 and one was a cockroach crawling on my dirty dishes next to the bed while I watched tv. Please get rid of the bugs.

Review 78:I like the price, the location, the TV, quiet, proximity to restaurant.

Review 79:The room was dirty, they only cleaned the room two out of five days if after request. I had to get my own towels to take a shower. The internet kept shutting down, had to call tech support several times. There was a broken spring in the bed. dirty overall.

Review 80:Location

Review 81:Internet access is poor. Not enough electrical sockets. Pool and balconies closed and no workout room.

Review 82:Staff was very helpful. They have also made improvements based on previous online reports... Eg more flexible with screed to microwave after office locks up.

Review 83:There was not a little coffee maker

Review 84:I like the discount that got at Ihop next door. I like the little balcony and able to open the sliding door for fresh air

Review 85:There was no microwave or refrigerator. Wasn't a big problem for me. Might be for others.

Review 86:I liked the space in the room. We stayed for four days, so that was a great feature. A snack machine was down the hall.

Review 87:Unpleasant front desk staff No hair dyer in room heater not working well unsafe in parking lot, also not well lited stains on carpet and bed

Review 88:Management helpfull

Review 89:Wi-fi was slow and required login every 30 minutes. No enough electrical outlets. When office closes at night (8 or 9 - varies depending on staff!!) there is no more access to microwave. Balcony closed - can't open door for fresh air.

Review 90:Price Location Staff is nice

Review 91:There was a roach crawling over our beds; There was mold inside of the bathtub;they didn't provide enough towels.

Review 92:It was a very inexpensive hotel to get. They are located in a nice area with very nice restraunts around it. Also it wasn't too far from the City.

Review 93:Parking was self park where ever u found a parking spot, not great when u are arriving at 2am. Also balcony door was not working. Apparently they were remodeling. Way they locked it was by a chain lock. Couldn't sleep throught the night cause of this.

Review 94:Very nice adorable hotel, clean and comforting.

Review 95:No elevators. Lugging suitcases and other stuff, had to change rooms because it was one queen, not two. Lugged stuff to another building, upstairs, toilet was running, room disgusting, beds sunken in middle. Asian man helped with toilet, very nice, but my cousin refused to stay in such a filthy, disgusting room. Paid for one night, canceled next night and left. Slept on my sister's floor instead of bed in paid for room.

Review 96:The very nice Asian man who helped us find our room and tried to fix toilet.

Review 97:nothing really as i got what i pay for.

Review 98:close to Ihop for food, room was clean n staff were very good, friendly and helpful indeed. Big thanks to them for making my stay very comfortable.

Review 99:Not enough parking convenient to the rooms. One night I had to park at restaurant and walk really long way to room carrying bags.

Review 100:Room was very clean, quiet and a great value for the price. Situated near restaurant and easy in and out to Veteran's Blvd and highway 101.

Review 101:Not enough parking in close proximity of rooms.

Review 102:Rooms that I stayed in (3) nights were very clean and I had access to everything I needed. Price was very good.

Review 103:different qualtity rooms for same price, one room had no fridge. terrible wi fi connection. lukewarm, tastless coffee

Review 104:location close to hwy 101 and sequoia hospital

Review 105:The free internet was very slow.

Review 106:The staff were polite and the facility was clean. The room was in decent condition. The location was convenient (about a 25 minute bus ride away) for visiting Stanford.

Review 107:The building for its age was not bad other than it is not as quiet as some newer ones. I couldn't escape the noisy neighbors upstairs. I know this is typical of older hotels and Inns but, every footstep was heard clearly.. Oh and the construction. Swimming pool and balcony were closed (but only for remodeling)

Review 108:The stay at this Inn was not bad for its age. Nice location, clean, and helpful staff. Most of all I would like to give a big thanks to Bob the night clerk. He brought great energy to our stay and was extremely pleasant. He was very professional.

Review 109:It was under remodeling. The "non-smoking" area was...not. Fortunately, our room was odor-free, but the halls and outside weren't so much.

Review 110:We had a place to sleep.

Review 111:The worn looking carpet throughout shows the hotels age the most. There should have been at least a 5% discount for everyone because the pool and balconies were closed due to earthquake damage. If my children would have been with me when they were little, I would have been more than disappointed!

Review 112:The location is excellent because it is almost half way between both places that I wanted to go. Also it was great to be located on 101. The hotel is alright. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.

Review 113:The mattress is in need of replacement. The wall paint in the room needs a face-lift. Booked a no smoking room, but still had that faint odor.

Review 114:The price was the cheapest. Complementary free WI FI for one electronic device was very nice. The bathroom was very clean. They even have a pool.

Review 115:only possible to request smoking room or room which does not specify if smoking or not, when booking, ended up in smoking rooms, as nothing else was available

Review 116:Dirty carpet, locked windows that could not be opened, very noisy fans, crumpled beds, room too hot, traffic all night long, upper floor when a. Ground floor had been specified, no coffee maker in the room

Review 117:Nothing

Review 118:There were ants crawling around the air conditioner and we found a bug in the bed. My room did not have a microwave which I found odd because my friend's room had one. Housekeeping came by very early around 10am which I felt was odd because other hotels I have been to have housekeeping around noon.

Review 119:The rooms were a great size for the price and the balcony provided a great view of the pool. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The size of the tv was decent. The drive to San Francisco was only about 35-40 minutes which was fantastic. Great location.

Review 120:Filthy carpets; very late-in-the-day housekeeping; room doors closed only when slammed; leave your parking space late in the day and when you return you'll find yourself parking far away from the office area.

Review 121:Location. Hotel is next door to IHOP where guests receive a 10% discount on all purchases. Hotel located between 101 Freeway and El Camino Real making it easy to reach other nearby destinations.

Review 122:This place is dirty, smell horrible, even $9.99 per night is too much money for this place. The person in the front desk (Andrea) needs to have an idea of what is her job. This is only a little bit. I prefer sleep in any parking lot that came back to to this place.

Review 123:Nothing.

Review 124:a little worn but fine

Review 125:good location east to get Caltrain into city cheaply. Pool looked good but didn't have time to use. Good Ihop next door for good food

Review 126:Great value, great location Slept well, despite being right next to freeway. Diverse crowd: overseas business people, pilots, domestic and overseas tourist. Pool 8 feet deep, not one of this new rink-dink pools.

Review 127:The room had only enough outlets for the lamps, and you had to decide whether to have either the fridge, microwave, tv, alarm clock or lamp plugged in because they all shared that One outlet, then this leaves no where to charge any of your electronics. The carpet was lumpy. Bed was very uncomfortable (stiff) And the whole place had that old casino, stale smokey smell throughout. Our room was backed right up to the 101, so at times you could hear the freeway, just turn on the AC/heater unit and that downs out 98% of it. The place is Deffenitly outdated but it gets the job done.

Review 128:The value was great for being fairly close to San Francisco, the parking lot and buildings felt safe and secure. For the most part the cleanliness was acceptable, just don't look under the bed or behind furniture, that obviously never gets cleaned. The room and bathroom was very spacious. Room came with a fridge and microwave!

Review 129:Very smelly (smoke), unclean, cold room, hairs on the towels and bath, dirty toilet, the highway is loud next to it, uncomfortable bad. Despite of the relative low price I would offer to avoid this place.

Review 130:There is an Ihop next to it, one of the cheapest in this area.

Review 131:I killed four roaches the first evening we checked in. Would have killed more but they were too fast for me. Enough said.

Review 132:Front desk was very nice and helpful. Cheap price but you get what you pay for.

Review 133:We were never allowed to experience our stay. I made reservations the day of our arrival for an outstanding price that fit our budget perfectly. We went to a Giants game and did not get to the hotel till 10:45 p.m. I went to check us in and we were informed that we needed a credit card to have on file. We had cash on us plus our debit card with a MC symbol. We no longer use credit cards so we could not oblige the hotels policy (which we were not aware of). Needless to say, we were denied the stay at the Good Nite Inn. We went in search of another hotel and looked online for deals that would fit our budget. By 11:30 p.m. we decided to cut our trip short and travel 3 hours, exhausted with 3 kids, all the way back home. I don't mind that this hotel has a policy of having a credit card on file, but this should be CLEARLY stated when the reservations were being made or declined my debit card right from the beginning. BOTTOM LINE: we cannot give this hotel a good review due to the extreme inconvenience this incident caused us as a family...esp when we had to cut our vacation short.

Review 134:From the pictures it looked very clean and the reviews were pretty good. When we arrived, all appeared to be very tidy. Our dealings with the night clerk was good. Although our stay ended up not happening, he was very kind and apologetic about us being incredibly inconvenienced.

Review 135:TV could have had more channels, magnetic keys were a pain but did not diminish the stay, a minor inconvenience.

Review 136:The peace and quiet, ample parking, wonderful staff.

Review 137:The bed was lumpy and with a three night stay I could use some sleep. The last day there my room wasn't cleaned until after 5:00. I called the office twice for towels and had to use a shirt to dry off after a shower before a dinner date.

Review 138:The location was fine for me. The pool was good however the deck around the pool needs cleaned

Review 139:No irons or refrigerators in room---as commonly found in other motels. I had to ask them to clean the room and for clean towels. They just sort of skipped over us. The place smelled musty--almost moldy.

Review 140:It was reasonably priced in an area where prices tend to run high. The campus is well maintained and the pool was great for the kids. Staff in the office was friendly and helpful.
