Reviews for Redwood Creek Inn

Review 1:The breakfast is minimal and we were hoping for an improvement with the purchase of the property by Redwoods Inns. The coffee is always cold. Amenities in the room are spare, only one coffee packet, and one soap during our 3 day stay.

Review 2:The location is great since it's near stores and within walking distance of Redwood City and restaurants. Next door to Whole Foods is super

Review 3:Everything was perfect about the facility. Breakfast was great. Short walk to train station and shops and even shorter walk across the road to the Wholefood Store. Will stay again.

Review 4:Booked through booking.com. When we arrived the hotel had two bookings for us, which meant we were going to be charged for two rooms, since there is only 48 hours to cancel a reservation. I had to call Booking.com to clarify. They had only one reservation for us. Booking.com was very responsive and called the management at the hotel and cancelled one of the bookings. There was some confusion but it all worked out, or I hope it has, since I have not seen my credit card bill yet.

Review 5:Loved the location within walking distance of everything in Redwood City and the Caltrain.

Review 6:The mattress needs to be changed (or flipped) several areas numb poking like spring or metal. TV was mediocre Digital antenna (no dish)? Be prepared to experience heavy curry aroma upon 1st entry to reservation/lobby.

Review 7:I arrived rather late at night (after 10 pm), but they had a clean, comfortable room waiting for me. The property felt safe and was quiet. I will be going to Redwood City on business again, and I'll plan to stay here.

Review 8:Cleanliness of room and bathroom grounds well kept staff helpfull close to store and downtown very nice tv good reception cereal danish some fruit avaliable in am good experience

Review 9:The pool was nice and refreshing and the grounds so beautiful with flowers. The distance to Stanford Hospital was only 5 miles and shopping right across the street. The motel managers very nice and very accommodating!

Review 10:We were awakened early by some squealing children in the pool, so our stay was not restful. Our room faced the pool area. Also, the cost of the room was rather high the weekend we stayed due to a major concert event we attended that weekend.

Review 11:We were upgraded to a nicer room when the standard King room we reserved was not available. The room was clean and pleasant, with a comfortable bed. The hotel is located very close to the Cal train station

Review 12:Very congested parking, very near apartments. Front office staff not friendly. Could not give us a 1st floor room even if we had requested it in our reservation. Was not very willing to give us a different room. Not a good value for the money. location not so great. Parking very tight space. Breakfast very poor.

Review 13:Clean, Good bed and room

Review 14:Shower water very small, no power. Bed is too close to the window makes it uncomfortable. Towers are very low quality and not very clean

Review 15:Staff are friendly. Location is convinient from SFO. Restaurant and Saveway, starbucks all walking distance, very convinient. Small room but has fregi and microwave

Review 16:The continental breakfast was a bit skimpy - two kinds of cereal, one kind of danish, one kind of juice. But again, fine for a one-night stay and for the convenience of a light breakfast.

Review 17:Room appeared to be new, in good condition. Comfortable and fine for a one-night stay on a business trip

Review 18:The key card jams. the heater blows dust. No heat in the bathroom. Too few towels.

Review 19:Location is very convenient- directly across Caltran station. Bed was adequate- though the pillows were too soft. The coffee and pastries in the morning were excellent nice touch. Staff is very friendly.

Review 20:The room was small, but clean. It was about 50-100$ cheaper than other nearby hotels, and we had no problems. Great water pressure in the shower. It is not a high class place, but it is fine for people who only plan to be there to sleep.

Review 21:Sometimes adjoining noises were heard (people chatting, baby crying, etc) and you can hear when others flush the toilet or shower running water.

Review 22:Good service, close to restaurants, supermarkets and train station. Acceptable cost-benefit ratio.

Review 23:Hard pillows. If you open the windows at nite it's a bit noisy with traffic.

Review 24:Water purifier in sink to make coffee or tea. Microwave AND refrigerator. Big room, comfortable bed. Location excellent with Starbucks across the street as well as restaurants within walking distance. A Whole Foods next door. Owner was really nice. Easy access to 101 freeway.

Review 25:Too many sweet choices for breakfast. Would have liked yogurt.

Review 26:Staff were friendly and helpful. I liked that the windows opened. Hotel is major road so lots of traffic. There was also lots of noise from the whole foods supermarket across the street but we appreciated the convenience of the store.

Review 27:Friendly, but to my grandchild, kind of unsavory guest next door.

Review 28:Very helpful staff. Close to CalTrain stations into San Francisco. Refrigerator Close to restaurants, groceries.

Review 29:The price was outrageous compared to other hotel/motels. $195 for aking bed and a scanty continental breakfast. I just booked a motel onthe beach in Pacifica ca for $109 and it's rated 8.1. I was thereand inspected the place. I also booked a return visit to the Hawthorn,in Livermore, ca, an actual hotel for $109 with a real buffet breakfast. You know, bacon, eggs, sausage, ect . a real hotel with only the oneentrance with an elevator and the best mattress I've ever slept on.The reason I'm going back is to get the model number of the BeautyRest bed. I think American's Best is America's Worst.

Review 30:Location

Review 31:The bathroom floor was still dirty after checking in. I was hoping it would be cleaned better after housekeeping came in the next day, but it wasn't. That was irritating.

Review 32:The room was spacious.

Review 33:Breakfast was extremely limited. Breakfast was 6:30 to 8:30, but we arrived at 7 to locked doors. When staff finally unlocked door, she was very rude. Mattress and pillow uncomfortable.

Review 34:Good location, right next to whole foods and near broadway.

Review 35:I have never liked the wall/window mounted air-conditioner/heater.

Review 36:I was at Sequoia Hospital for a procedure and the hotel was very close to the hospital as well as the train to San Francisco. The hotel is a bit dated but very clean and friendly staff.

Review 37:Some kind of plum-like scented air freshner which was a bit overpowering when you first walk into the room. Was fine after a few minutes. Deluxe breakfast? Nope. But you do get cereal, pastries, and waffles.

Review 38:Overall, a decent no-frills inn. The room I was in seemed to be in good repair. I much preferred this location to the inns and hotels right off the 101 freeway. You can hear the traffic on Camino Real, but it's not pervasive like the freeway, and no sounds of big rigs coming and going.

Review 39:No Hot water not hot enough to relaqx!!

Review 40:close to town!!

Review 50:HBO box did not work first time

Review 51:Convenient for shops

Review 52:The facility is out of shape and almost archaic.

Review 53:City central location. Nearby shops and restaurants within walking distance

Review 54:The room had air fresher that was overpowering.

Review 55:Close to Stanford. Room was clean.

Review 56:Way too pricey for that motel

Review 57:Room was hot. Bed was uncomfortable

Review 58:Close to Hospital

Review 59:Wi-fi could be better

Review 60:Clean, although thr location is near a main road, the accommodation in the second building is quite.

Review 61:The carpet in the rooms need to be changed. The AC is very loud.

Review 62:Convenient location. Friendly staff. Reasonable rates.

Review 63:The room was very clean. Great value for the price we paid. Location was excellent with walking distance to restaurant, shopping area and downtown.

Review 64:Bad was not that comfortable

Review 65:Staff were great and accommodating. We missed breakfast but he went in the back and got us something.

Review 66:Very clean, good facilities, great location close to Redwood City train station.

Review 67:N/A

Review 68:Room was clean & comfortable.

Review 69:The wifi is really shoddy. Goes in and out.

Review 70:Was nicer and better than I expected!

Review 71:Very convenient we were vising a relative at the Veterans Hospital

Review 72:There wasn't anything I didn't like

Review 73:Nice pool, comfortable bed and great air conditioned room. The owners were very nice.

Review 74:Tight parking.

Review 75:Has everything you might want.

Review 76:Nice room, comfortable bed, spotless. The pool was cool and refreshing on a hot day.

Review 77:Towels were rough in the skin too thin and check out too early and no flexibility

Review 78:location

Review 79:Everything was fine

Review 80:Clean room and ice service

Review 81:Close to the Caltrain station.

Review 82:Hd tv with good channel guide. Modern room. Good price.

Review 83:The staff was very helpful and pleasant to work with.

Review 84:Helpful and friendly staff. Good location for travellers with and without cars.

Review 85:No toothbrush provided

Review 86:Very close to redwood city downtown

Review 87:Continental breakfast choice and freshness

Review 88:Location and staff

Review 89:Good location and parking Clean room Helpful owners

Review 90:That we paid the same price for it and only got one bed.

Review 91:That they were able to get a downstairs room.

Review 92:Pool is not heated. This hotel is good, but only because all others in this area at comparable price are bad.

Review 93:Everything was good

Review 94:The room had a strange intense and annoying smell

Review 95:Room was extremely hot. Took hours to cool down

Review 96:Pool was nice

Review 97:Very poor breakfast. Very hard bed.

Review 98:Location was good.

Review 99:My only wish would be for stronger wifi.

Review 100:This was my second Americas Best booking. My first in la, was a realdisappointment but this location was a complete opposite. Everything wasclean and fresh, the building felt updated and maintained, the outdoorareas were beautifully groomed. The parking was plenty and close andfelt safe even after dark. The staff was very friendly and professional. We look forward to an opportunity to stay here again!

Review 101:room smell was overpowering--either the cleaning supplies or there is some type of air freshener.

Review 102:the landscaping was lovely and it was quiet. Location is great! Whole foods is so close as is Safeway.

Review 103:The "breakfast".

Review 104:Central location in Redwood City, not too expensive compared to other hotels. Decently sized room. All I really wanted, really.

Review 105:We where here for four days, this was the cleanest Inn that I stayed in,the management was more than helpful, our son will be staying here for several weeks. Highly recommend!

Review 106:For 2 people in a room, there was only 1 chair. Sitting on the bed doesn't seem like a good option. Fan was next to bed and very loud. Small room for the price. We were there 3 nights, only because of the location.

Review 107:Location was excellent. Everything nearby that one would need. TV quality also excellent; but no way to figure out channels.

Review 108:breakfast is minimal, Eggo waffles, danish rolls, cold cereal, OJ and Coffee.

Review 109:The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bed was really comfortable. There is a whole food Market directly across the street for snacks and dinner if you want. Breakfast was out by 6:30 every day. This is not the Hilton, but is a great stay for the price.

Review 110:The bed is not very comfortable. It is a little expensive, but I guess you pay for the location. The price should be cheaper during winter time since you cannot use the outdoor pool which is big plus for summer. The free breakfast that you get is not much to choose from (1 type of coffee & tea. 2 kinds of cereals, 2 types of coffee cake, banana, apple and orange).

Review 111:I stayed Americas Best Inn since it is about 5 houses away from my nephews house so it is very convenient and walking distance to the mall and stores! They have an outdoor pool (good only for summer), free internet, gym room, however we didn't get a chance to check this out so I am not sure what types of equipment is available.

Review 112:They should remove listting in there advertiessing that they have DVD players in there rooms when they don't

Review 113:All the above best of all loacation for shopping.

Review 114:Price--it was Stanford Homecoming weekend. No toiletries.

Review 115:Location, next door to Whole Foods, across El Camino from Safeway, Starbucks, CVS, restaurants. Good to have refrigerator and microwave.

Review 116:The mattress is extremely hard. The breakfast was very limited. It should be listed as continental instead of breakfast.

Review 117:Very clean and pleasant staff.

Review 118:Bed and pillows a bit too firm. The included breakfast, like most such offers, has little to recommend it.

Review 119:Very quiet rooms with concrete walls. Spotlessly clean. Quiet refrigerator. Microwave. Decor is a bit dated, but in a pleasant way. Walk across the street to Whole Foods grocery for quick meal.

Review 120:Nothing to say.

Review 121:It was a pleasure to stay at Americas Best Inn motel. Staff is very gentle and kind, rooms are ok, clean and well furnished. Internet connection is super

Review 122:Good breakfast for a motel with bread, jelly, milk, coffee and tea. Supermarket just on the other site of the street. City center in walking distance. Didn't use the pool in the courtyard but it looked good and clean.

Review 123:It is centrally-located in Redwood City, with shops, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance. Rooms have plenty of space, a desk, refrigerator and microwave for snacks, and free wi-fi.

Review 124:maybe a bit too far from San Fran 40min on the train.room could be quieter but l think this is impossible in USA

Review 125:family run business, nice polite reception staff, lovely cleaning staff, train station cross the road shopping centre cross the road

Review 126:As expected on a busy street, there was some noise, though not overpowering, even in a room near El Camino Real as mine was. Secondly, the air conditioner was noisy enough that for myself, I had to put in ear plugs to sleep. Others may not be so sensitive. Third and finally, though part of the room charge, the breakfast was comprised exclusively of sweets, from the orange juice to the waffles, danishes, cereal, apples and bananas. I arrived late in the last half-hour of the allotted breakfast period, so perhaps some bread or bagels might have run out--but there was no location on the table where they might have formerly resided. After that, I preferred to compose a makeshift meal from the market across the street.

Review 127:The room was well-fitted for comfort and ease of use; the wi-fi was helpful and largely reliable, housekeeping very good, lighting was adjustable and not glaring, bed comfortable, interior design simple, unaffected, but appealing. Proximity to Whole Foods market and other stores was very convenient, and the location, visa-vie the "main drag" of the city, backed by a beautiful, quiet suburb, was advantageous--including easy walking distance to Caltrains station. There's also a rather nice pool in the premises, though I did not partake of it. Finally, I left behind four sweaters in the dresser, and the management, on receiving my query, very efficiently directed how I could send a box for shipment, and upon arrival, very quickly returned all four items neatly rolled independently in said box, for which labor I'm exceedingly grateful.

Review 128:The family running the hotel were very accommodating & let us bring our grand daughters visit for a swim in the pool . The beds were also very comfortable .
