Reviews for Mount Shasta Resort
Review 1:Love this property. We have come up for weekends and spent holidays here renting multiple chalets. Its a beautiful, clean setting in a beautiful romantic town. We love this place and the value is phenomenal.
Review 2:Some, not all, desk persons were unprofessional in handling the unavailability of our room at check-in. We understand they have a 4pm check-in policy but most establishments will at least make an attempt to get you in a bit earlier, or, at the least, acknowlege the inconvenience to their guests. Poor training and poor attitude. In contrast, the restaurant staff were all excellent.
Review 3:Beautiful location, very nice restaurant
Review 4:Maid service did not make up the bed and coffee pot was not cleaned or emptied of left over coffee. More coffee was also not available for the next day.
Review 5:Enjoyed nearly everything.
Review 6:Beds were elegantly made but the bed I slept in had a " hole " where enough people who slept there had made that big indentation Room could have had more personality
Review 7:That we were in the redwoods & saw the first snow
Review 8:The rooms were equipped with DVD players. There were no pay per view movies on the cable. As Mount Shasta is a quiet town and closes down early we decided to rent a movie. Unfortunately, the remote did not work and no one could seem to get it to work, so I wasted my money on DVDs. The staff didn't really seem to care, nor did they offer me an reimbursement for my rentals.
Review 9:Beautiful and quiet place to stay. It was a very restful and relaxing vacation.
Review 10:My food was from the frozen department and it was drenched in teruyuki sauce... The pasta was overlooked . We only ate there twice . Upon arrival because it took us for ever to find the place in the dark and the night before we left ... We figured it could not be worse than the first time... It was.
Review 11:The service at the restaurant was very poor. There is only one girl to the whole floor
Review 12:The steps in the parking lot at night...I was very cautious - couldn't see. I had to feel my way with my foot before stepping. Another woman from the conference fell - broke her hip. need to fix this asap.
Review 13:The view, the chalet was nice, and the clubhouse was nice as well. The food was fabulous.
Review 14:It was a long walk to the ice machine. Smoke from the fires in Oregon made the mountain impossible to see.
Review 15:Nice wooded location. Restaurant was fine. Good bar with a bar food menu. The golf course was in excellent shape
Review 16:Had to walk a km from chalet to clubhouse. Rude housekeeping staff ! Reception told me to check out by 11 am else my stuff would be thrown out!!!! No prior information given , I found out accidently!!! Will never stay there again ! Reception people looked clueless !!! Housekeeping calls the shots
Review 17:The only tiny inconvenience was the missing beverage guard on the door of refrig so there wasn't a place to put taller beverages to keep them cold.
Review 18:Quiet, clean and comfortable. Early check in was so appreciated! Allowing an extra half hour for check out was also very nice.
Review 19:Booking.com had inaccurate information; they said it was pet-friendly; it is no. They said it was 1 bedroom, when it was two bedrooms + sofa-bed in living room.
Review 20:It's fabulous!
Review 21:Staff was disorganized, gave directions that sort of worked and assumed you had been there before. Heating/air conditioner ran most of the night, was loud with few controls.
Review 22:Quiet and serene location. Lovely mix of units in well planned layout.
Review 23:No more hot tub was a surprise. We have stayed before and really enjoyed the hot tub. There were some minor blemishes that I would have liked acknowledged upon arrival so we were not held liable for them. A short check list would be a great way to acknowledge damages before a new guest checks in.
Review 24:The entire experience was amazing. We enjoyed home cooked meals in the full service kitchen. The beds were comfortable, even the hide-a-bed in the living room which is unheard of. My kids felt so comfortable there, we didn't want to leave.
Review 25:I loved the peace and quiet. I also took a beautiful walk down a nearby trail to a blue bridge. While standing on the (foot) bridge, you have a beautiful view of Mt Shasta. The food and the service in the restaurant was also wonderful.
Review 26:I had to leave.
Review 27:An absolutely magical place for rest, romance and retreat. The accommodations were beautiful, comfortable and quiet. The restaurant had spectacular views and the food was fabulous. The lounge was warm and friendly with several delicious wines at fantastic prices. The staff were the best part - professional, friendly & went the extra mile. Can't wait to return!
Review 28:My wife and I were pleasantly surprised when we found out that we'd be staying in a cottage and not a traditional hotel room. We had a beautiful view of the lake, the walking trails were great and we saw a lot of the local wildlife. It was a great place that I know we'll stay again.
Review 29:Checkin at the club house could have been a bit clearer - we brought all our bags in ready to check in, only to find we had to drive down to the cabin. Minor detail though and we should have left things in the car until we'd checked in like we normally do =)
Review 30:Whirlpool, Very Spacious, Relaxing, great views and fun hike down to the dam area.
Review 31:Difficult to find - poor signage for registration building - old, flat beatup pillows - very very smoky smell in our non-smoking room- price for that area is too high and bedding, towels need to be upgraded -
Review 32:Very Pretty Setting
Review 33:We had trouble with the tv and DVD player connection. We called to office and were told the maintenance people had gone home and no one was there who could help us. So, we were not able to watch our DVD. It seems to me that someone ought to be 'on call' at least, for things like that. It is not very satisfying to get a response like that.
Review 34:The room was very nice and very clean. It is a beautiful area and peaceful place to relax and get away.
Review 35:I just wish their spa could accommodate more appointments.
Review 36:I loved everything about this place. I will definitely return.
Review 37:Very clean and super comfy~ thanks!!
Review 38:Internet not working well
Review 39:The chalets and the rooms were set in the woods and felt more like private cabins than hotel rooms.
Review 40:The timer on the gas stove litterally drove me nut's Terrible Idea
Review 41:All good
Review 42:Beautiful area, the restaurant 's food and service was excellent. Guests receive 20percent off meals making them very economical.
Review 43:Beautiful resort in a beautiful location!
Review 44:I was able to check in early. Check out was convenient.
Review 45:The bed.
Review 46:The sofa bed was so bad I slept on the floor. The rooms could have been cleaner. Spa was great.
Review 47:We had a wonderful stay here with the family. We feel in love with mount Shasta.
Review 48:Just the smoke from all the fires in the area
Review 49:There was plenty of things to do and location was close to everything we wanted to do
Review 50:You listed only 3 rooms available, the place was empty. Got a horrible room, had to up grade. Would not use you again
Review 51:Beautiful view, lots of nature to enjoy, nice friendly family fun, clean well maintained units.
Review 52:Cost
Review 53:A beautiful place to do so many things. The men golfed. Family hiked and played on the snow and fished.
Review 54:Erin at front desk very nice!
Review 55:I love that this is literally a cabin in the woods and is a great getaway.
Review 56:hair dryer didn't work, price of room high for the area
Review 57:Bed, decor, artistic touches, general comfort
Review 58:Nothing all was good
Review 59:The location the peacefulness and calm the staff all very nice and helpful
Review 60:It's a ways out of town but not a big deal
Review 61:A great place to stay and a nice option in an area without a lot of upgraded motels
Review 62:Clubhouse worn.
Review 63:Well appointed cabin with private deck. Beautiful golf course.
Review 64:The ambiance, food, and accommodations a quite good and the views of Mt. Shasta are lovely.
Review 65:Our room was clean and very roomy. We had both a dinner and brunch in the restaurant. The window views are amazing of Mt Shasta. Service and food was good.
Review 66:A little cool and windy on golf course but a senic ride throughout in cart for my wife and I.
Review 67:Beautiful setting in the shadow of Mt. Shasta. Comfortable, spacious cabin. Tue. nite music and pub grub in Lounge.
Review 68:Horrific bed. They areunequipped to help guests with luggage up the high steps of the cabins the rent thru bookings.com. After some confusion at my need for assistance, the desk clerk thought to call a member of the maintence staff, who as a favor drove a golf cart to my room lication. My helper was a good natured mid-sixties gal wearing a knee brace. Rather haphazard for a fancy resort...
Review 69:Quiet rural location
Review 70:Our room was very clean, and well layed out. It was cozy with a beautifully layed out 2 person jacuzzi tub. The staff was very friendly, the location was quaint and quite with the sound of the river near by. Mount Shasta made a great background setting from the road. We will definitly go back!
Review 71:The room that I stayed in was about a mile away from the reception. The receptionist told me to get there is easy, but I had trouble finding it and there was nobody that was available for help. Also their website does not state that there is no breakfast on Mondays and I am not sure if there are more weekdays where the restaurant does not provide breakfast. Reception closes at 9pm, and their website does not state this nor are there notifications via Email to arrive before 9pm even though they charge half of the price before you get there. My room had a jacuzzi bath, but the towels provided for the bath were smelling bad like old dust. This does not match up to five stars.
Review 72:The room was very quiet.
Review 73:We had difficulties with our TV. Maintenance came out and fixed it in a timely manner.
Review 74:We liked the room with the tub, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and reading light. We liked the location to Lake Siskiyou and the mountain. We liked the trail around the lake. The location of the restaurant was good too.
Review 75:There really isn't anything negative I have to say about this resort.
Review 76:The room was very nice. I wasn't expecting a chalet in the woods. It was very peaceful and quiet. The food in the restaurant was very good. Overall Mt. Shasta resort was very nice. I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends. We were probably there during the off season but I still would choose to stay there again.
Review 77:I would have liked more toiletries especially since there were two of us, we ran out very quickly.
Review 78:Loved the location and the views, the Wi-Fi in each room and how clean and comfortable it was.
Review 79:Booking took me an hour...forced to do on line...could not reach byphone for details...booking came out wrong...never asked for Jacuzziroom but given that with extra cost. Finally phone call worked after onehour...phones may have been down that day
Review 80:All fine
Review 81:We didn't understand that all the rooms were in triplet cabins remote from the main building, which had no rooms. So it's not a hotel but a collection of cabins and you have to drive to your cabin after you check in. The restaurant is in the main building, so it's not strictly handy from your cabin. I think if you know this it's not really a problem but it should be more clear at the web site. Or maybe I just didn't read it carefully. It was a bit of a hassle for us, and we probably would not stay there again.
Review 82:Enjoyed the spa in the room. Beautiful location with great view of Mt. Shasta in the near distance. Enjoyed our stroll in the woods....
Review 83:We ate breakfast in the restaurant at the Lodge, and they were out of what I ordered. Not a major problem, but a disappointment.
Review 84:The staff was friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night as we were on a "road trip"; however, I would stay there again if in the area.
Review 85:2Nd bedroom in the two bedroom chalet was a bit small, but stillfunctional. Everything else was spectacular!
Review 86:The balcony and lake view were amazing. Couldn't have asked for abetter place to stay in Mt. Shasta. Loved it.
Review 87:The people in the resort restaurant were great, so great we went back more than we should have. The cabin was perfect, so much so we had a hard time leaving it other than to go eat. We will be back soon.
Review 88:No info or help if not a golfer.
Review 89:We did not golf. We might have liked it better. The view of the mountain was beautiful from the golf course. No view from room.
Review 90:Could not stay longer. We hope to plan our next pass through better fora longer stay.
Review 91:Friendly , helpful staff. Location: quiet, beautiful views, sounds ofnature, and a walk through the woods to dinner.
Review 92:The room was very clean and maid sevice was excellent. Bed was very comfortable. The chalets nestled in a wooded setting overlooking the lake, made for a very quiet and relaxing get-away. The spa is very nice with an awesome staff. We will return.
Review 93:The room was a bit too generic in terms of atmosphere and had a tiny window so a bit dark. The heater/air conditioner was really noisy. Check-in stopped at 8pm but not specified in the booking.
Review 94:The view of the mountain is fabulous and you can eat at the restaurant. It is very clean and is out of the city so good for peace and quiet
Review 95:Bed was uncomfortable Need i-comfort bed
Review 96:Resort in the woods Chalet was wonderful restaurant & bar Tues.Night taco night Tues. Night intertainment View of Shasta Mt.
Review 97:That it took at least 15 minutes for the water to heat up in order totake a shower. In the morning you need to run the water for until it iswarm. Then wait an hour, then run it again so you can be sure to have anice warm shower.if not you will run out of hot water fast and end upwith a cold shower. :(:( not fun
Review 98:The peace and quiet:)
Review 99:My daughter and 2 grandsons were on a road trip and decided to stay at this resort. We had a queen room that looks like cottages with 2 comfortable queen size bed. There's refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and hair drier. My grandsons love the flat screen TV :). The rooms are only between 200-300 yards away from the main check in building. The view is beautiful. I would bring my golf clubs with me next time and I would stay at this resort again.
Review 100:The shower needed repair as it sprayed water all over the bathroom. I would have liked a bath tub but there was only a shower.
Review 101:Terrific view of Mt. Shasta. Chalets back up to Siskiou Lake and give a feeling of being near nature. The restaurant had a wide variety of offerings and the service was excellent.
Review 102:Can't think of anything we didnt like.
Review 103:We loved how close it was to the siskiyou lake docking area. We fished three days in a row and having a nice comfy warm room to return to was great. We brought everything we needed to BBQ for two days since BBQs were on sight and we had one conveniently located right out front of our cabin room. The view of the lake was nice as well.
Review 104:Nothing really, just that I had to leave.
Review 105:The room was very clean and spacious, love the decor and the locationwas absolutly perfect. Beautiful surrondings and hiking trails allaround. Secluded feel without actually being far away from town
Review 106:Only slight downfall was the resturant. I came in about 11 and I dontknow if theres a time you stop serving breakfast but I was reallywanting a breakfast meal so we ended up going somewhere else:/
Review 107:I literally loved everything. The room was amazing. The price wasreasonable. I loved the outdoorsey feel yet it was very elegant. I wishI could have stayed longer and had the opprotunity to take advantage ofthe massages and dinner. I will definately be coming back.
Review 108:The hot tub is GONE! We came through to stay overnight expecting to hot tub after traveling. Needless to say what a surprise. And not bathtub in our room. Secondly, breakfast wasn't being served at all the next day - a holiday Monday...so we had to go to town, as we were unprepared for that. Next time I'm just coming through town, wills stay elsewhere. :(
Review 109:The staff was kind and efficient. I always enjoy the beautiful setting.
Review 110:We didn't find anything not to like at Mt Shasta Resort
Review 111:We had a great stay at Mt Shasta resort. We had reserved a non lakefront chalet and got a free upgrade to a lakefront one. The check in wasvery quick and the clerk very friendly. She gave us the free upgradewithout any prompting. We found the chalet to be very clean and actuallynicer then expected. We will check the specials on their web site nexttime though because we could have had a free dinner for two pluschampagne included for the same price we paid for just the room. My wifehad a massage at the spa and enjoyed it very much as well. Overall wehad a great time though and plan to go back soon.
Review 112:I was going to make a phone call due to something that seems small, but irritated me and would make me NEVER return. My husband and 3 small children ate in the restaurant on Thursday night. But then later I reviewed the bill only to discover a $3.00 charge to bill the dinner to our room. We were not told this up front and feel that this charge is inappropriate. I am hoping that you can remedy this situation and leave us with a positive experience.
Review 113:We liked the room and the location. It is close to family and we suggested this to other familiy members as a possible reunion site.
Review 114:Beautiful location. Nice place to stay.
Review 115:ground maintenance around rooms
Review 116:location, variety of rooms, restaurant
Review 117:Location

Review 121:Their restaurant, lounge is great! The food taste amazing and great service form the servers. Will be back

Review 123:View from our Chalet to Lake Siskiyou.
