Reviews for Kalamar Hotel

Review 1:Nothing

Review 2:I loved everything, the staff are absolutely top, very friendly and take care of you. The view from the pool was fantastic, it is a wonderful hotel and we hope we can come back next year.

Review 3:Dark dingy lounge bathroom very poor w.c loose moved around on the floor very strong drainage smell 24/7 spiral staircase difficult, furniture very poor laminate peeling off

Review 4:Pool

Review 5:Bedrooms are very small and basic. There are no luxuries within the rooms (eg. no drinking water, empty mini bar, no bottles of shampoos/showergels). There was also a problem with the electricity and sewage in bathroom. The lights often turned themselves off and the bathroom smelt terrible. The hotel is a long walk from the centre and is not suitable for people with walking difficulties or small children. They could do with running more service buses into the town in the evening as there is only one bus that leaves at 19.00 The 'beach' was just a rocky platform and the workers there are very rude. They told us the hotel only has 20 sunbeds allocated to it and these are on the back row. When we tried to move out of the shaded back row we were told we must pay. Wifi didn't work. A standard room has a shared terrace and not a private balcony. We tried to eat one night at the hotel's restaurant but they didn't have any vegetarian main courses. I asked if they would be willing to make a vegetarian pasta dish but they said it was not possible so unfortunately we couldn't eat at our hotel in the evening.

Review 6:The view is breathtaking and the infinity pool makes this hotel worthwhile. There is a great choice for breakfast. The terrace is beautiful with a hammock but it's a shame it's shared.

Review 7:Breakfast was ok apart from loads of wasp or hornets around the breakfast food ,the food should be coverd...

Review 8:The swimming pool is amazing location perfect

Review 9:Door keys not always working

Review 10:Excellent location, new infinity pool magnifcient, top notch breakfast, very helpful staff especially Stathis, Ferhat and Ramazan

Review 11:-Staff with limited English and didn't help us with suitcases (our rooms were in 3rd floor) -wifi only works near lobby area -beach club is from hotel but sun beds for hotel guest are located in the back. If you want it in front of the water (no beach, is a deck), you need to pay extra fee. -housekeeping not too good. Everyday we need to ask for toilet paper, because they didn't check for this. -location is far from downtown.

Review 12:Nice endless pool and views from terrace.

Review 13:It's a four hour drive to Antalya airport. And a 30 min walk to the town centre The signal of the wifi in the room was very bad. We have been here for two weeks and breakfast was the same everyday. The beds are not that comfortable, and we really disliked the music at the pool bar. They should really work on the atmosphere and play some more chill out music. The party music at the pool was driving us crazy!

Review 14:The location of the hotel was perfect, very nice view from balcony with hammock and the pool. Very clean room with lovely silent airconditioning. Cleanup everyday with new towels.

Review 15:Terrible staff. Terrible customer service. Terrible rooms! Clearlynobody is managing the hotel. They literally had no bed sheets - andinstead tried to give us a table clothe! And our room had no towelsafter repeated requests. They made us change our room halfway throughand were very rude. Then the manager laughed at me when I said therewere still no towels in the 2nd room - I confronted her (Laylan orsomething close to this) replied "what do you want - it's 9:00pm - I'm drinking". We left the next day! (After having beenforced to sleep with nothing but square table clothes on the bed!) Wemoved next door to Happy Hotel and it was wonderful!

Review 16:Nothing. Staff, hotel, facilities... Everything bad!

Review 17:The staff was ok seemed rather unhappy. Eating dinner at the pool restaurant seens romantic. It would be if it wasnt for the same song over any over again.

Review 18:The viw from dätje hotel is great. Tje corner room was spacious with a big veranda. The breakfast was very good and the pool gorgious.

Review 19:The only criticism is that booking.com do not allow you to select Villa Jasmine 1 or 2. You are led to believe that by booking a Villa you will definitely have the large private pool and the view looking directly at the bay. This is not the case.

Review 20:We stayed here at the end of June and had a wonderful and relaxing stay. We stayed in Villa Jasmine 1 for the first 7 nights, which has the larger of the 2 private pools. Due to availability, we then had the remaining 2 nights in Villa Jasmine 2. Both Villas were spotlessly clean and were very comfortable and spacious. The views overlooking the sea are simply stunning. We ate in the hotel restaurant several times during our stay and the food was always hot and freshly prepared. Nora and Ziya are very welcoming hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel is in the Kisla area of the resort. We had a car for the duration of our stay which proved invaluable for the hills that Kalkan has in abundance! At night time we used the water taxi that runs from the neighbouring beach club throughout the day and night. It was only 5TL per person each way (about £1.25). Up until the end of June it stopped at 10pm. From 1st July it was running pretty much 24hrs! Taxis from town back to the hotel were 25TL with a tip (about £6.50). I would definitely recommend this accommodation and we hope to return again in the future.

Review 21:Very expensive coffee in the beach restaurant (espresso is 2x more expensive than Starbucks in Turkey) Rooms rather too small if you are not in a suit Low quality breakfast offering Showers are very narrow No elevators in the facility, this might be a serious problem for elder travellers

Review 22:Great view of Kalamar bay Very quiet and relaxing hotel Amazing scuba diving experience in the beach Super clean and beautiful sea Great food quality around Kalkan restaurants

Review 23:10 to 15 walk from the town. Taxı cost 17 TK= 5 to 6 uk pounds. 7 pounds from the maın bus statıon. However I would return to the hotel

Review 24:magıcal terrace for breakfast and other snacks/meals. Quıet. stunnıng vıews.

Review 25:The hotel lacked a bit of atmosphere on the evening and if you fancied a drink in the bar in the evening , it was always deserted and you felt you didn't want to put the staff out by asking for a drink . Not a major problem though

Review 26:My husband and I booked a cheap week to Kalkan and were not disappointed . Really enjoyed our stay at the Kalamar . Friendly staff and great location . Be prepared for lots of steps !!

Review 27:The breakfast buffet didn't have much choice

Review 28:No WiFi available in hotel rooms.

Review 29:Stunning view of the scenery.

Review 30:The pool required cleaning a few missing tiles ,,

Review 31:Location and view beautiful , staff excellent ,

Review 32:staff kept playing vulgar loud music by the pool and we had to ask them to change it to something calmer a few times

Review 33:the beautiful pool

Review 34:the location is a bit far away from the town

Review 35:the pool is the best feature. the view alone from the pool are is something else.

Review 36:Lot of stairs.

Review 37:The hotel is one of the beautiful in this city. The view from the pool existing.

Review 38:They could do with a bar within the hotel that was used as it always appeared to be closed when we tried to drink there.

Review 39:The position of the hotel is perfect and the view from our room was fantastic.

Review 40:Best location in Kalkan! Nice sea view from terrace. Friendly staff. We were in May and it was incredibly quiet place.
