Reviews for Lord Camden Inn

Review 1:Can't think of anything we didn't like!

Review 2:Room and inn was clean and inviting. The staff was friendly and accommodating.we dealt with Lisa mostly and she was helpful and we liked her attentiveness. We felt very comfortable there and recommend it to anyone looking for lodging in camden. Great location, walk to harbor and shops.

Review 3:Awesome location right in the heart of Camden. We were delighted with the very attractive and comfortably appointed rooms. Yummy breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Review 4:Nothing.

Review 5:Loved the delicious breakfast especially knowing that most of the ingredients were locally sourced. And the food was homemade - muffins, bagels, real eggs etc.

Review 6:Nice, comfortable bedroom, quite, no cigarette smells, and great continental breakfast. Wish we would have stayed over one more night, to help with the Christmas decor. Hope to get the same room next time!

Review 7:Room was so cramped that we could not unpack our bags. VERY small room. WAY TOO MUCH MONEY!!

Review 8:LOCATION WAS GREAT. Breakfast was very, very good. View from room of town and partial view of harbor.

Review 9:We upgraded to a mini suite, however its location was at the back where there was a permenant loud hum form the air con extract next door. Should have stuck to our earlier sea view room as we could not use the balcony due to wasps!!!

Review 10:Camden is an excellent palce to stay in a visit to New England

Review 11:Lord Camden has all the amenities of a big hotel and all the charm of a boutique. We had a very clean comfortable room with a deck over the river. It was great to be able to open the sliding door to the late summer breeze. Amenities include cookies or fruit and water upon arrival, coffee and quality toiletries in the room, as well as a full breakfast.

Review 12:Breakfast room would be better with windows/natural light but I know this is easier said than done .

Review 13:Location, nice atmosphere, good rooms, great view on second night.

Review 14:Breakfast room was cold and staff did not seem to know how to regulate the temperature to something more reasonable. Breakfast food was not very warm either. Cleaning staff forgot to clean the bathroom one of the days.

Review 15:Location. Standard of the room very good and spacious. Having a large deck outside was very good. Breakfast food - choice was good and changed from day to day.

Review 16:Very old fashioned décor, dark. There was virtually no light in the room. You couldn't read a book. They've changed to those awful light bulbs that don't give light.

Review 17:location

Review 18:I was very disappointed that the flower box on our balcony had dead flowers covered with aphids. We couldn't comfortably sit out there and had been really looking forward to that.

Review 19:Location, decor, friendly staff, historic building

Review 20:My room was pre-paid by Oxford Networks for a sales contest and when I arrived I discovered the payment had not gone through and I had to pay out of pocket which I was not expecting and this caused an inconvenience for me personally.....

Review 21:Everything.......almost

Review 22:Love the large bathroom and separate TV room in our guest room. The breakfast was a welcome change and a chance to socialize with other guests. The whole place had a great feel.

Review 23:Check in was very difficult with two different people asking different questions. Room was not ready for 40 min. after check in.

Review 24:the location of this hotel is great!

Review 25:Rooms starting to show signs of wear Caulking around tub needed to be redone Our room overlooked rooftop and mechical systems of adjoining building couldn't utilize balcony due to noise and virtually no view

Review 26:Location to town and harbor Easy check in and check out

Review 27:room small and slightly dirty-never vacuumed, shorted on towels, mirrors never cleaned. Bad view of trash receptacles and deck slanted downward giving insecure feeling while standing on it

Review 28:helpful friendly staff and wonderful buffet breakfast

Review 29:Booked a particular type of room on the harbor side of the hotel, butgot a room on the back side of the hotel. This was very disappointing, especially since I paid a 50% deposit for the room.

Review 30:Loved the location and the overall feel of the hotel was great. Staffwas very nice and friendly and liked the small touches like the cookiesand coffee in the lobby. The breakfast was well-done, even if not all ofthe items were to my taste.

Review 31:Booking.com had a glitch and double booked someone for the rooms we selected. Thankfully, the manager at Lord Camden caught this and made sure that we still had a room at the Inn when we arrived in Camden.

Review 32:The staff were above average in making sure that our stay went well.

Review 33:You must get a scan key to get into the lot each time you want to park your car. You must return the scan key right away after exiting the lot which is two blocks away .

Review 34:hreat breakfast and comfortable rooms. Loved the balcony overlooking the town

Review 35:"River view" not particularly special. Room101 very close to an ice cream stand. Would ask for top floor facing harbor next time.

Review 36:Cookies in the lobby, great location, free parking, gas fireplace, very fresh and comfortable room

Review 37:N/A

Review 38:we liked everything about our stay, we had no issues with using the car parking facilities at this hotel, as it was only a 5 minute walk and very convenient. unlike other comments I have seen on here of people moaning about having to walk 200 Metres to the car park !!!!!

Review 39:Wish there was stronger shower pressure and more variety of pastries and yogurt at breakfast.

Review 40:The staff was amazing. The accommodations were amazing. The view was beautiful. Location outstanding. Overall our was stay was amazing and wish we stayed longer.

Review 41:Noise from other guests. Could hear actual snoring from neighboring room. Parking inconvenient.

Review 42:Beautiful building and surrounding area. View of the harbor was exceptional. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and offered wonderful choices. Staff was very helpful and knowledgable.

Review 43:Loved Camden off season - it may not suit everyone's style, but it fit our bill. Many restaurants in the area won't open till later on in the month, but those that were open, were good, friendly and offered tasty fare.

Review 44:The only problem is the parking. For myself, the walk was good, but my husband couldn't walk a couple of blocks in the snow with luggage. But I did meet him at the back entrance.

Review 45:It was very homey and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Review 46:Offsite parking, although very close. Ok tradeoff for being in the middle of Camden.

Review 47:Courteous staff, room very clean & comfortable as was the bed. View of the river was fantastic. Convenient to stores and restaurants. Cookies were delicious!

Review 48:heater in room was a bit noisy Paper thin walls in bathrooms, not to be unexpected in a historic old building

Review 49:Comfy and attractive room overlooking the river; wonderful and accommodating staff; excellent breakfast excellent snacks and beverages available all day wonderful 5 day experience over Christmas holidays

Review 50:Room was a lot smaller than expected, parking & walking was a bother. I stayed in the off season and prices were decent. Full price would not be easy....

Review 51:The place was very clean, Breakfast was wonderful.. We stayed in the off season, so it was very quiet..

Review 52:nothing

Review 53:staff, especially Nicole, were wonderful, friendly and very helpful in our circumstances with the weather, gave us great travel tips, lovely room, wish we had longer there!

Review 54:1. Parking off site; icy sidewalk; no valet; shared lot key that had to be obtained and returned each time from front desk. 2. Noisy heater/blower in room. 3. Curtain was room darkening, but did no cover window; 3 " light opening; faced east. 4. Poor sound insulation

Review 55:Location in middle of town; could walk to many things

Review 56:Nothing!

Review 57:Loved everything at this hotel, from the decor, very nauticul and modern to the staff, the comfort and the cleanliness. Would definately come again.

Review 58:Missed the red leaves!

Review 59:Excellent and full breakfast. Delicious homebaked pastries. Extremely comfortable bed. Lovely little terrace. Spellbinding view across the street and down to the harbor. We would love to stay again. Great restaurants in town too. We were there after peak tourist season so it all was calm and not too crowded.

Review 60:The room was quite small and heavily perfumed or scented. It was clean, but the scent gave me a headache.

Review 61:It had a decent view of the river. It was in a nice location in town.

Review 62:Location right by back door and front desk was noisey. The breakfast room was dirty and not well organized. Dishes and tables were not cleaned up and breakfast was not as Fantastic as advertised.

Review 63:Room itself was very nice and so was bath. Comfortable!

Review 64:we have been going to the Lord Camden Inn every fall for the past few years. The hotel is just wonderful, well kept, comfortable, the perfect atmosphere for a fall weekend. we love that it is so close to everything downtown and we plan to keep our tradition going for many years to come!

Review 65:The parking was a little far away, perhaps a concern for someone coming in alone at night or physically challenged.

Review 66:Loved the balcony porch and the convenience of on-site wine purchase. The location overlooking quaint shops and the historic, cozy surroundings gave us the "Maine Experience" we were hoping for. Staff were welcoming and quick to respond to requests.

Review 67:Lady at check in preferred to handle telephone call, meanwhile letting us stand and wait for 10 minutes. The call should have been put on HOLD.

Review 68:Cleanliness, location, and deco.

Review 69:On our last night's stay I approached the lady at the desk about paying my bill and she didn't have a clue how to do that...The internet desk is in a terrible place! There was so place to sit down to use it...very frustrating...especially when you want to "check-in" early for your next day's flight.

Review 70:The room (306) was beautiful and clean...The balcony present a wonderful view of the harbor. The hotel was convenient to the downtown shopping and cafes.

Review 71:The ONLY negative comment I would have is that due to the older nature of the building, you can hear whenever any of your neighbors have their shower running. I could NOT hear voices or footsteps from above, however, the screeching from the pipes was a little annoying.

Review 72:The Lord Camden is right on Main St.! It was wonderful to watch the boats in the harbor as well as the people in town from the comfort of our balcony. The staff were all very friendly and the included breakfast was much more than the usual bagels and coffee. The building and rooms were beautiful! I would definitely come again and recommend to everyone.

Review 73:Parking is not difficult but a little inconvenient getting a key each time you want to park in lot.

Review 74:Granola mix of hotel was great. Rooms were comfortable and roomy.

Review 75:The parking was a block away in a gated parking lot (Camden is such a busy town), and quite a problem, we were glad they had this particular accommodation.

Review 76:The hotel room was very clean, there is a Keurig coffee maker available in the room and the staff very cordial, most helpful.

Review 77:Great location, free parking, tasty breakfast, clean comfortable room, super friendly staff, reasonable price. Our room was a full harbor view with 2 chairs on the terrace to relax and watch the world go by!

Review 78:There was a strange smell in the room seeming to eminate from the A/C unit; tub drained slowly.

Review 79:The view was perfect and the room amenities nice. Desk personnel very helpful. It was coincidental but fun to also be celebrating 30 years of marriage while you were celebrating 30 years in business at that location!

Review 80:The noise from Main St cancelled out the views

Review 81:The Inn was in the heart of town and we walked everywhere. The off street parking lot was a great idea.

Review 82:Parking to check in a little confusing.

Review 83:The location is perfect. Room was comfortable. In room Keurig, nice coffee and tea selection, wine glasses, towels were soft. Cookies, ice water, coffee in lobby. Breakfast yummy. Balcony and view of river were lovely. Close to everything in Camden.

Review 84:Courteous and down right wonderful staff-what a wonderful hotel all around: facilites and location just perfect!

Review 85:Enjoyed our stay very much. Will likely return. Thank You,

Review 86:We love the ocean, we got to walk , shop and eat out , we didn't want to drive, this Inn was Perfect !! Friendly Staff and Clean !
