Reviews for Best Western Plus Sutter House
Review 1:The location is right next to a light rail. I could hear the train a few times and it woke me up.
Review 2:The room was spacey and nice. The bedding was very comfortable.
Review 3:I Loved walking into the room and it smelled so nice and there was music playing. Loved the room size and the pool wast fabulous. Very pleased with my stay.
Review 4:No hooks, or places to hang wet towels, so ended up using new dry towels every day - such a waste of water resources. Closet rail too low to hang long dresses, which crumpled on floor. Pool a little cold - but not bad
Review 5:Great staff. Large comfortable rooms. Great beds
Review 6:The outside of the hotel looks drab, but who cares?! The hotel itself is perfectly wonderful and a heck of a lot cheaper than other hotels the area.
Review 7:Although the main floor is nothing to look at, my room was lovely and the pool is great. It is super close to the convention center, has a cute little restaurant/bar attached that serves good food, and the workers were very kind and helpful.
Review 8:Basically Columbia and other Gold Country towns shut down early (bars and restaurants close at 8 or 9PM on a summer Saturday night!). Not fault of hotel; simply the way it is.
Review 9:Quiet and next to theatre (saw sensational performance of The Music Man). Different experience.
Review 10:Pool is sun heated not "solar heated" with panels. Brrrr!!! Right on the commuter line so there is some shaking as the trains roll by. By the first hour or so you are used to it. This is far out shadowed by the amenities.
Review 11:Within walking distance to Convention Center and lots of great eateries. The breakfast choices were great.
Review 12:No complaints! Had an amazing time!
Review 13:The staff were kind and helpful. The location is central to Midtown Sacramento, with a really neat cafe across the street, and the room was gorgeous.
Review 14:The only problem I had was with finding the Hotel. I had GPS but it kept having me go in circles. Not the vault of the Hotel.
Review 15:The staff was very friendly. Th breakfast was good compared to other hotels. I liked that check-out wasn't until 1pm.
Review 16:I was expecting more for breakfast. Scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, and yogurt.
Review 17:I liked how the hotel was three blocks away from the venue we went to.
Review 18:Pool is solar heated. Cold in April.
Review 19:This hotel is great for a budget weekend getaway to visit family members. Early check-in granted. Convenient location. Helpful staff. Very nice beds and a clean room. Quiet building. Free parking and wifi!
Review 20:Room was stuffy and air conditioning didn't work.
Review 21:Location that was walkable to downtown, Capitol and Old Sacramento. Free parking, free breakfast, friendly helpful staff, free use of computer and printer in the lobby, beautiful decor.
Review 22:Thick carpeting everywhere. Strip. It. Off. Please! (apart from health issues, it stinks and tunes down the impact of your fine cleaning routine) No organic choice for breakfast. At least add something (anything) not made up from chemicals. Real milk rather than repacked "creamers", maple syrup/honey/agave instead of brown syrup out of a scaleup lab - would be welcome.
Review 23:Position, room, cleanliness, Wi-Fi next to perfect (if only they would disregard the splash screen that doesn't agree with Android...) rooms facing the internal patio are quieter, but noise from the streets is not terrible, just a tramway and the helps for visually impaired at crosses, not too loud anyway. Great access from at least three different streets, and parking straight across the lobby. Abundant breakfast. Gym available (sadly unused in our case)
Review 24:Front desk staff consistently helpful. Such as getting a neighbor quiet down their music.
Review 25:The room was smelly. It took a bit to get used to it. The breakfast buffet was quite poor.
Review 26:The bed was nice.
Review 27:Was a bit expensive

Review 37:Breakfast and homeless people everywhere

Review 39:The breakfast food options could be a little bit better.
Review 40:Hotel is lovely, located centrally in the Mid Town, and not priced too high for the area.
Review 41:this was really not up to par. it was a 1960s-style motel that tried to be 3-star, but just did not make it.

Review 63:location, free parking
Review 64:Great location right in downtown. Easy access covered parking. Rooms were clean and beds did the trick.
Review 65:The room had the smell of chloraseptic, which we adapted to. Thelighting isn't very flexible--there wasn't a low light option, and theclock has a rather bright light that we needed to cover up at night.
Review 66:It was conveniently located in the capitol, within walking distance ofthe convention center. The continental breakfast was standard, but welltended. The beds were comfortable with an abundance of pillows.
Review 67:My comforter had a stain on it and there was a pumpkin seed in thesheets. At least it wasn't a bug, but it was still gross.
Review 68:Front desk staff were professional and polite. The breakfast was good.
Review 69:- Hallway carpets a bit musty (could use some deep cleaning) as the room
Review 70:- Daily breakfasts providing fresh fruits, hot teas and a place to sit down was great.- access to large desk computer for quick surfing -a very convenient location downtown - free wifi and covered parking
