Review 1：The hotel is 25 min walk from the center of town down a steep hill, when coming home the hill seems like it goes on forever. The hotel pool area is nice but the rooms are odd, ours had a huge space behind the bed and the bathroom sink is huge, so that there is no room for your things. Hot water was hit and miss.

Review 3：The hotel staff were very welcoming and were the element of the hotel that really made our stay excellent, rather than just great. They were responsive and helpful, and we even made some new friends during our stay! The property is gorgeous and cleverly caters for all your needs - whether you would like to eat or have a drink at the restaurant, bar or poolside, whether you wanted to lounge on one of their (4 poster) poolside beds, lay in their hammock, sit on a comfortable sofa, on a stool by the bar or on one of their sun loungers, the choice is yours. They have a mini book library, inflatables for the pool, music from bar, sports (if that is your thing) in the front bar away from the pool and the whole place managed to maintain a calm and relaxed atmosphere, where you could really get some quality R+R. It is also beautiful property, so it makes for some quality instagram shots ;-). The rooms were clean and comfortable, but given the quality of the hotel lounge area alongside the delights Kalkan has to offer, we didnt spend much time in them!

Review 6：We had a wonderful 9 nights stay at the Elixir Hotel and we were made very welcome by all the staff. Breakfast was always very good and the pool area was very comfortable. The bar was very welcoming when we arrived back from dinner and we had fun with the other guests. We will definitely return, thank you.

Review 7：The drinks were overpriced for what you got. Soft drinks were served from a bottle rather than being given your own can and cocktails were very weak. Also our room had funny smell - I think coming from a sewage. We had to make sure to always leave the bathroom door closed and air con on.

Review 8：The staff were lovely and the hotel was in great condition. The food was also delicious, although they could add more Turkish dishes to the menu.

Review 9：Twin rooms were nicely furnished but a little on the cosy side, there was too much furniture in a small space and felt a bit cramped, when travelling as 2 singles sharing it would be nice to have a bit more space. Having said that, everything was clean and well maintained.

Review 17：Hotel is over priced and so is the food and drink. It's a bit far away from centre of town. Health and safety isn't up to scratch and sea view wasn't really a sea view, more of a partial sea view with a block of flats immediately in front of us. Disappointed.

Review 19：No bad experience, just that the fitness area was mainly broken. The hot tub on the balcony wasn't worth the extra cash and was very dirty as it was outside and uncovered. No deal breaker but I probably wouldn't pay the extra if I went again.

Great food and drink, and the pool area was gorgeous Rooms where equipped with everything you could possibly need and always very clean! The location was in the perfect place, a walk from the town but it was nice to be that little bit out of it.

Review 22：The walk home from town was a long way up a very steep hill but once you were there it was lovely. Our room overlooked the pool bar which was quite noisy when we wanted an early night. The fitness centre was non existent!!

Review 24：We have recently returned from an amazing week in Kalkan. From checking in, to checking out the hotel staff and the hotel itself could not have been any better. The staff could not do more for you and we were always greeted with a friendly smile. The room we stayed in was beautiful and very comfortable, it was cleaned daily and we were always given fresh towels. We choose to have the superior room with a jacuzzi on the balcony which was a real treat and made the room even more special. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for a relaxing, quiet break with a friendly atmospher. We had an incredible holiday and that was mainly due to our stay at the Elixir.

Review 25：The free wifi was spotty and did not work well in our room. The master deluxe rooms are not significantly different from the deluxe rooms. The outdoor shower is pointless as there is no privacy. Our "sea view" was not much of a sea view.

Review 27：A very few parts of the hotel are still to be fully finished off, and don't expect the jacuzzi on your balcony to work; nobody's did when we were there. These are small gripes though, and certainly didn't detract from our wonderful stay.

Review 28：As everyone comments, the staff are what makes the Elixir great; from the moment we arrived very late at night on our honeymoon, they were welcoming and helpful. The hotel itself is lovely; the pool area is fantastic and the rooms are tastefully decorated with a really comfortable bed. The hotel is well located, albeit up a steep hill from town, but there are plenty of pitstops along the way. I would thoroughly recommend the Elixir; we didn't want to leave!

Room was beautiful with the most stunning view and loved the bathroom. Pool area was perfect, nice sunbeds and not too busy/cramped. Breakfast was traditional but beautiful (Scrambled egg is gorgeous) and the chefs are very talented. Great location in walking distance of the town where we went for a meal each night. Review 54：Poor comms pre-visit - had specified wanted twin singles with bath - had to upgrade as no bath in standard and room space too small. Bathwater was hot but tub leaked on floor. Drinks expensive and no toiletries nor tea-making facilites in room which would expect with 4-star hotel. Too far to walk uphill from town and needed taxi to and from. Spa not open for treatments

Review 55：Aesthetics - design of hotel and many original pieces of decor as well as traditional Turkish furniture in room View from room. Supermarket, spa and cafe nearby made up for shortfall in services that were absent or too expensive. Great breakfast.

Review 57：The hotel is further away from the main town center/marina then we thought. You could walk there with no problem as its all down hill but coming back would be difficult especially with children but there are plenty of taxi's.

Review 60：Noisy very noisy, specially if you are facing the pool, you can expect music and cheers from barman to keep you awake until 2am on a weekend. Rooms offer no amenities such as gel, shampoo, brush... TV is small and almost no international channels. Laundry services are overpriced.

Review 61：Location is good though not next to the sea so expect to walk or drive a little. It has a nice outdoor pool and a bar next to it which serves icy cold refreshments. Breakfast is above average.

Review 64：The spaciousness of the outdoor areas aren't replicated in the standard rooms - ours (207) was very small, literally just room to walk around the bed. This was fine for our single night stay but we would have found it too cramped for any longer, but that's just a personal preference. That said the room was very clean, the bed comfortable, air con effective and the bathroom though again very small was nicely appointed with a really powerful shower and lovely towels. Larger rooms are available and it would be worth going for them as it would be a shame to miss out on all of the other positives this hotel offers.

Review 65：The staff are excellent, particularly Egemen the manager who needed no prompting to provide a late check out at 6pm for us, when he discovered our evening flight time. The outside areas at the hotel are great, spacious pool (towels provided free of charge), garden where lunch can be served, a welcoming pool bar and main bar, and lots of shaded ottoman seating areas. The rooftop terrace where breakfast is served has lovely views of the bay. Although little time was spent indoors the public areas are spacious - the whole place has a very relaxed and quietly welcoming atmosphere.

Review 69：This is a comfortable and freindly place where the staff go out of their way to please. The deluxe room was large and comfortable although not luxurious. It is a kilometre to walk to the centre of the town but good exercise and interesting. Highly recommended.

Although it was very quiet due to being a few weeks before the main season starts, all the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and could not do enough to make us feel welcome and our stay as enjoyable as possible.
