Reviews for Hyatt Place Flushing/LGA Airport

Review 1:Parking issues. I had to pay $20/day for parking. My total bill was much more than I anticipated at check out due to extra fees added for taxes, and others.

Review 2:Staff was great. Good place if you are travelling in group, especially with children. Free breakfast with lots of choices

Review 3:best hotel ever.. theres a refrigirator a sofa a pool cozy roof top so close so the subway about 2 min walk.. so many restaurants and mall around the area.. helpful staff.. i will come back here

Review 4:There are couple, and I'm not sure id consider this hotel anymore or even tell others because there are couple. 1. Finding parking. It's behind the hotel which is very annoying because to get into that stress it's a on way that doesn't let you get in to the parking lot because it's unlawful to make a turn there. 2. It took me at least 10 minutes to find the parking lot and I had to do an unlawful turn because I was tired of going in circles. 3. It took another 10 minutes for the staff at the parking lot to assist us. 4. I was told that I had to leave my keys with them because they bed to move my car when the lot was pretty empty. And when I checked and took glance through the other cars just because they were a little more expensive than mine. Their keys were kept with the owner. So it made me feel uncomfortable. 5. They elevators were very annoying to understand and etc. 6. Soon as we were done checking in, we got greeted by few drunk people, which was quite discomforting as well. 7. There were quite more problems but I rather keep it in instead of being nosey and etc

Review 5:I liked the staff member who accompanied us when we had signed up.

Review 6:The breakfast needs improvement. For example, either remove the miso soup/rice porridge item or make a better side dish to go with. I stayed 3 nights, and saw 4 side dishes every day, they are cheap and unattractive, and 2 was from the cans!

Review 7:good space of room. Two Queen bed with a sofa(love it) simple partition to separate from the beds, feel so relax and comfortable with the space setting.

Review 8:The hot breakfast was awful. Not only was it over cooked, but the menu itself was just not appealing. Don't over complicate breakfast for sophistication, people want simplicity. Fresh eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, waffles (fluffy pancakes), and some modern choices too.

Review 9:The experience, from the minute we walked in the door, we were catered to. Everyone went above and beyond. Excellent restaurants, fantastic coffee shop (next door), and the train all within a blocks walking distance.

Review 10:Overpriced for a hotel in Flushing. But we understand why ... it's an oasis in Flushing.

Review 11:Like the 'new' clean rooms. A very good breakfast. And the shuttle service from airport is great.

Review 12:The ventilation system seemed to be old no matter what we did

Review 13:The hotel had a pleasant lobby design, a Good breakfast and comfortable bed. The location near Laguardia airport made it attractive.

Review 14:I thought the hotel would be a little closer to Laguardia than it was. It was difficult to return the rental car and then get back to the hotel.

Review 15:We missed the shuttle to the airport and would have had to wait 50 minutes for the next one, but the clerk asked the driver if he would take us right away, and he did.

Review 16:Got stuck in the hotel lift! They were completing maintenance work on it and didn't put any out of action signs anywhere or disable the lift doors. Maybe their health and safety processes need to be reviewed? It was just as we were checking out and made our departure from the hotel to catch the LIR train to Penn station somewhat rushed. Not a great end to what had been a good stay.

Review 17:Cleanliness of the rooms and all other areas of the hotel was impressive, in fact the breakast service was a little too keen to clean up after us, as one morning they cleaned our table before we had finished! Really easy train journey into NY city, not too packed on the trains either unless you hit commuter time

Review 18:It still takes 15 minuts from the hotel to the airport, but the hotel arranges shuttle bus for its guests.

Review 19:The staff are very helpful, from the front dest to the driver carrying us to the airport. They are wonderful. The facilities are new.

Review 20:Water damage in my room.

Review 21:Hotel staff and parking attendants were very very pleasant and helpful, the was the second time staying at this location and we enjoyed our stay.

Review 22:The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, safe and the room was spacious by NYC standards. We were there for the US Open which was only a subway stop away. The hotel also provided a shuttle to the grounds. Hotel is also only a 30 minutes subway ride to time square - very convenient.

Review 23:We didn't have a bad experience....the choice of restaurants in the immediate area were somewhat limited.

Review 24:Classy hotel, very courteous staff and helpful. Easy commute into Manhattan and the Mets stadium.

Review 25:This hotel was wonderful and very clean! It's offers everything a family would need. We enjoyed the rooftop pool and the room was the perfect size to accommodate a large family!

Review 26:The only reason I picked this hotel was because I had two kids with me and needed a pool. It was ice cold, even after being in it for a while it was still cold. We ordered food from the room and it took and hour (for a burger, pizza, and club sandwich) only to pick up cold food that tastes like it came out of a vending machine. The bathroom had a sliding glass door which may look modern but is not practical when you're not the only one in the room. There was a black curly hair in the shower before I even got in it and the glasses had greasy fingerprints on them already when we got in the room. I told the hotel and after flat out asking for my money back I was offered points good for a free night, which is exactly the opposite of what I want. Next time I'll stay around the corner and just fill up the tub for the kids.

Review 27:The breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable. The valet guys were really nice.

Review 28:we transit at Laguadia airport, stay in Hyatt place is a good choice. free shuttle bus to and from airport is very convenient. room is nice and clean, staff very friendly, breakfast is excellent.

Review 29:Leaving the hotel.

Review 30:The staff were always on hand to help. Jennifer L was so informative and made us the best pizza. The location couldn't be better. Roof top pool was great. Rooms spacious. Breakfast was plentiful. Very clean hotel. Housekeeping were excellent.

Review 31:1) The hotel keeps charging the credit card and putting holds on funds (there were at least 5 transactions and it's still not clear when they release the deposit). Also they charge in advance not at the time you check-in. Please, fix it. 2) House-keeping is not thorough. The trash was still in the room from the previous guests. Sheets never changed. The last night didn't get the room service at all, and when asked for at least fresh towels, never brought them. 3) Coffee mugs and utensils at the breakfast area were always dirty; 4) Hotel staff never informed that the parking service was not free and there was also a room security deposit apart from other fees.

Review 32:Overall it was a nice hotel in a very good location. Close to subway and lots of stores.

Review 33:I was delighted with the hotel, small and friendly. The hotel manager was so friendly and welcoming. The hotel room was modern and chic and the wifi was really good. Overall I was very pleased and would definitely return.

Review 34:No bad experience other then the house keeper being rude and giving us tissue in place of toilet paper because he was to azt to get more from the supply room.

Review 35:The breakfast was amazing. The staff was very nice and helpful and the shuttle was very convenient.

Review 36:Around the hotel few abandoned houses and walls with graffiti.

Review 37:Nice hotel in the Queens Chinese area, buffet breakfast with eggs, sausages, hamburgers, cereals, fruit salad, chinese soup. Pool and fitness room on the roof floor with the view to the LGA airport and even Manhattan siluette. Easy connection to the Manhattan with nr 7 train, station 5min walk from the hotel. Target shopping mall also 5min walk away. Taxi from the JFK airport cost $31.40+tip.

Review 38:Staff was rude , room was not clean , and housekeeping was not good

Review 39:Breakfast was very good as was the location . We appreciated the free drink vouchers given to us to make up for our room not being ready

Review 40:Temperature of the bathroom in the lobby and for some reason house keeping did not clean the room on the first morning but it was ok, maybe an oversight

Review 41:It was easy to get all the process of installing the family. Ppl there are very friendly. Once we got to the lobby we were offered drinks and the staff was amazingly friendly. We felt special and my kid loved that

Review 42:They don't have room service and there's no parking. However, the rooftop heated pool makes up for it. The view is wonderful.

Review 43:The staff were friendly, the rooms are spacious and it was nice and quiet.

Review 44:Didnt see rate was non-cancellable when first booked

Review 45:Hotel allowed me to change stay date even though I couldn't cancel ( which I didnt realize when booking ). Thanks for that !

Review 46:Nearest train is local to the city. Makes for a slow go until you can change to an express train. The hotel wasn't serving the delicious sausage which was available in September.

Review 47:Very nice breakfast choices, rooms are large for NY. Clean, excellent bedding.

Review 48:The spaciousness of our room, the huge bathroom, the wonderful breakfast and the staff. They went out of their way to be accommodating. When I ordered dinner at 11pm, it arrived unasked for at my door saving me the trip to the lobby.

Review 49:No bathtub in my bathroom, water pressure too low during shower, some facilities such as rooftop lounge have not yet finished construction and was not accessible.

Review 50:Close to restaurants, subway, shopping malls, the cookies for sale at the drink bar are yummy, front desk staff is mostly courteous.

Review 51:Apparently there is truly no such thing as a non-smoking room in Queens. This is not the first time that the horrific smell of smoke has been covered up by "cleaning." - if they want a non-smoking hotel they need to install sensors, and have guests leave.

Review 52:Getting off of an international flight to head to an interview in Queens, the Hyatt Flushing was the only choice in the area that was still in my price range when I finally was able to book a room (under $150) that claimed to be non-smoking. Staff was fantastic, food was mediocre, but they put the basketball on. Room was very clean, very comfortable, large bathroom, etc. Fairly convenient to get to and away from.

Review 53:The cleaning staff need to be retrained. Seemed like they didn't really clean the bathtub very well. They need to thoroughly clean the bathroom to avoid build-up in the long run. The hotel is fairly new and I can see mildew build-up already.

Review 54:The front desk staff were very helpful and nice. The location of this hotel is excellent. Close to the main area. Room size was very spacious compared to the other hotels.

Review 55:The parking/garage is still kind of under construction. Not too convenience.

Review 56:Clean room, and comfortable beds. The room was big enough for us. The location was good.

Review 57:Our room was not ready for us at 8pm and I reserved 2 months ago. Poor wifi connection! 1st day staff didn't change our bedding when I put the request on the pillow and did not refill our towels. 2nd day they did nothing for our room so i had to call the host at 11 in the evening and complain about the issue.

Review 58:Good location, nice facility

Review 59:I had my boyfriebds birthday coming up and I needed a hotel big enough to accommodate about 8-10 people before we headed out to the city. I probably booked and cancled the place three times in two days both booking.com and the hotel were extremely accommodating. Then this service girl named Julie actually helped me book a suite for two days at a great deal that conveniently worked out for us beyond comprehension. The staff is just beyond perfection and the hotel itself is beautiful! Excellence is the least of words I have to use to describe my experience!!! I loved it, booking.com and Hyatt

Review 60:The guy name Allen was a great guy in transportation and good spirit he didn't throw my bags around he kindly secure my luggage to and from the airport and I greatly appreciate it great area in China town u get ti see city view in the work out area wI'll be staying again upon my return.

Review 61:- I called for airport pickup, I was told by their driver to wait for 20 mins. After waiting for 30 mins in the cold I called again and was told the driver was suddenly unavailable, and to just to take the taxi to the hotel. - After finally getting to the hotel, I waited for more than an hour to get my room because they allowed very late checkout for an airline group and they are doing housekeeping with limited staff. This is at 11 PM already. - Toiletries in the room was just shampoo and soap. I had to ask for a toothpaste. - Wifi was getting disconnected every now and then.

Review 62:- Location is less than 15 mins from LGA airport - Room was spacious, bed was good - Complimentary breakfast was good - Staff was very apologetic for all the inconvenience

Review 63:On demand the said so I called 45 minutes before I had to leave. They said someone else needs it right now and they could not know if it would make it back in time for me. It is leaving in 10 minutes. I threw on my cloths and ran down to catch it. It should be scheduled on the half hour. It only takes 15 minutes to get to the airport. Just was very frustrating.

Review 64:You have charged the rent twice. I had paid cash. You also charged onmy nephues ( abhijits ) card also. You must told me about this whichyou had not.

Review 65:Nothing. I have nothing negative to say about this wonderful hotel and it's amazing employees. Melody especially was extremely helpful.

Review 66:Staff was incredibly accommodating with my last minute visit, and arranged an airport shuttle time for me around another very difficult and demanding guest who was creating issues with the hotel's airport shuttle.

Review 67:The room was not vacuumed, there was hair on the tables in the room and on the sink and in the shower in the bathroom. The air conditioning was situated right in front of one of the beds, so cold air blew right into my face all night. Parking was advertised as 'public parking on site for $20' but ended up being valet only. Parking accross the street was suggested as an alternative for $16, but when we went there they charged us $30. When we informed staff about the parking they suggested I contact booking.com for compensation, which is absolutely ridiculous. Hyatt uses Booking.com to advertise and obtain guests and if booking.com false advertises then the Hyatt should compensate guests for that false advertising, suggesting otherwise is an insult to my intelligence.

Review 68:There is free wifi in your room and throughout the hotel.

Review 69:I like each and everything.i travel a lot this was my first experience with HAYAT. I stayed almost every hotel.but from now HAYAT is my first choice.thankyou

Review 70:I booked a King size room in advance an put down a credit card and when we got there they gave our room away. They claimed they overbooked. All the young girl could do was I am sorry. Ended up with a beautiful room but two smaller beds. Not what I paid for.

Review 71:Beautiful, clean, and very polite staff. New staff in the morning fixed an issue I had from the previous night. We were able to resolve the situation to my satisfaction.

Review 72:At the last minute myself and boyfriend went to new york to interview for a job. I'd hadn't heard of this hotel until visiting your site. Im from New York but this was my first time to the flushing area. The hotel was great! Also target, Starbucks and great Asian restaurants are in walking distance.

Review 73:Indoor pool was not heated and it closed at 10PM, too early for me, especially when we spent all day touring NY. No jacuzzi? Was disappointed we couldn't watch the GIANTS game on TV. Other hotels had it....would have been great if they had a TV bar area to gather and watch the baseball game with "Happy Hour". Why is the gym in separate floors? I could hear the train/plane go by. Windows do not open out for fresh air. Had to turn on the fan to cool off, but then it got very cold, so I ended up simply turning it off. Parking was not free to guest, like other hotel in the area Sorry for comparing. However, it's still a great hotel. Hope to come back again. Thanks all for making our stay a pleasant one.

Review 74:Andrew greeted us with such a warm welcome. He tried his best to accommodate us when we arrived early. He gave suggestions on where to see the fall foliage, gave us directions without rushing us. He had such a calm and friendly demeanor, even though he had tons of stuff to do, from front desk to breakfast area, etc. I would come back because of him. Five stars for him! I love the breakfast bar. Too bad they didn't have the pastries during the weekdays.Only donuts in the weekday.Pastries only in the weekend? I'd like to know where they get it, especially the custard center ones and the nutty onesl Cleaning person was very nice and did a great job cleaning our room.

Review 75:They haven't been open very long and really need to focus on the details...cleanliness of the entire room and hotel in general.

Review 76:The staff was extremely helpful.

Review 77:Room cleaning was late, at 4pm after we called them to come.Landing planes to lga noisy. Hotel need to improve on their windowglazing quality.

Review 78:Proximity to usta, good staff, clean room

Review 79:Thought the area was a little dirty and sketchy, but never felt unsafe.

Review 80:The hotel was great. The location was good to walk to U.S. Open and the subway stop. Staff was very nice and helpful. The free shuttle to the airport was nice also.

Review 81:If you're planning on going into Manhattan for the majority of yourtrip, I would stay closer to town. Subway is almost 45 min trip one waycosts $2.50 and train which is only about 20 minutes to Penn Station is$7 one way. So the cost savings of staying in Flushing is great but theinconvenience of a 1 hour commute can be too much for everyday.

Review 82:Facilities were clean, staff was mostly very attentive and friendly. Thecomplimentary breakfast was simple but a nice way to start the day.Rooms were spacious.Location was great, only a few blocks from the subway and the LIRR. Since we were mostly there to attend the US Open which is only 1 stop away, it was very convenient. Lots of great authentic Chinese food options within a short walk from the hotel.

Review 83:-The fire alarm rang at 12:30am and 6:00am. Woke me up twice. - the AC kept blowing on the bed.

Review 84:The rooftop pool has a great view of Flushing. The pool was a bit chilly. Wide variety of breakfast food. Convenient location with cheap eats.

Review 85:Fire alarm testing, timing of shuttle to the Open... suggest it be hourly

Review 86:Staff especially the professionalism of desk staff person Julia and location was great for the US Open

Review 87:The staff had a hard time checking in large groups of people. We were told that there was free shuttle to the US Open and they would have a schedule of pick up times. They did but it wasn't every 30 min. The night sessions are usually late and the last shuttle ended at 10 which did not work for us.

Review 88:The hotel was great. Michelle went above and beyond to help us out. We were there for the US Open. Great location to the stadium. One subway stop from the Open. Convenient. With this being a newly opened hotel we figure they are still working out the kinks.

Review 89:The location looks run-down and front view and access to the hotel is poor. I regretted booking the hotel on arrival at its front door until I went inside and met the desk staff and then I relaxed a bit. But no one assisted me with my bags on arrival. I had to wheel the big cart out myself to collect my 3 bags and struggled to get it through the lift to my room; I'm 63!

Review 90:The room is quite comfortable and the facilities provided - wifi and other electronic aids, word processing including printing, are impressive.

Review 91:The vent for the air conditioner is directly pointed at one of the beds; between the constant noise and the direct cold blast of air it was impossible to get a good night sleep. I was forced to sleep in the couch for four straight nights.

Review 92:Not much

Review 93:The parking was inconvenient and self park

Review 94:The General Manager and the entire staff were extremely helpful and went way beyond the call of duty to make us comfortable

Review 95:the airconditioner is bad, the wind blows directly to the bed which makes it very uncomfortable

Review 96:the staff can speak chinese the location is so convenient to take the subway to NYC there are many resturant open to 2 a.m.

Review 97:The staff were very helpful ...and nice area ..we had a great time there....and the breakfast was great every day

Review 98:Safe did not work Dirt and stains on washroom glass door. When checking out female employee refused to print out plane boarding pass.

Review 99:none

Review 100:breakfast

Review 101:The security of the guest access is great. You cannot get onto a floor without having a guest key.

Review 102:stay in total 6 nights , but charged me for leaving a small bag in hotel. limited choice for breakfast

Review 103:location free pickup to and from LGA airport

Review 104:The hallways were always hot for some reason.

Review 105:Staff were very pleasant. Love this location because everything is close by.

Review 106:the bathroom sliding door gets stuck!

Review 107:Staff was great, room was comfortable, location very good.

Review 108:Breakfast is not up to expectation.

Review 109:Staffs are helpful. Clean

Review 110:Very convenient. Restaurants close. Coffee bar next door. Staff so nice. Great roof bar!

Review 111:Nothing. We loved everything

Review 112:Everything and Everyone.

Review 113:Very helpful, friendly staff.

Review 114:The room was very noisy.

Review 115:Breakfast is great.

Review 116:Wanted somewhere close to Citi Field and this was a great location.

Review 117:free wifi was pretty slow

Review 118:Free shuttle to airport

Review 119:Shuttle service very poor

Review 120:Breakfasts is not good no bacons and run out spoon

Review 121:Room is big

Review 122:The location and its proximity to airport made us stay here.

Review 123:Pool didn't open till 10am!

Review 124:The staff was amazing. Very helpful. Rooms were nice. We were pleasantly surprised!

Review 125:Jasmine was the best upon arrival she took care of everything. Not one day I feel I had to worry about anything.

Review 126:Pagar por el parqueo. y no facil parqueo

Review 127:El desayuno . la piscina y gimnacio
