Reviews for Kulube Hotel
Review 1:A little bit far away from the city center, rooms were ok, but could be better decorated.
Review 2:Excellent private beach, pools, hotel facilities, sight, view, staff, sea, nature
Review 3:The shower room could do with a bit of modernisation There were a lot of steps down to the sea so good for fitness! The hotel's guy who sat at the bar at breakfast times could do with a smile painted on his face
Review 4:The location of hotel was ideal and the seafront position was perfect The room was excellent as was the pool located beside the part of hotel where our room was
Review 5:The 'upper' wifi was quite poor ( 2x wifi addresses provided, as hotel is a stepped address - many layers of rooms, from road and above, down to near the 'beach'/cove. )
Review 6:Another excellent visit to the Kulube Hotel; wonderful staff, incredible location with its own private cove; a place our family will want to keep coming back to. Any imperfections are wiped out for the reasons above.
Review 7:There could be more options on menu for lunch, too quite for young people a great hotel for families
Review 8:Excellent location, good facilities, private beach
Review 9:The top floor rooms in the deluxe building are many, many stairs away and far from the main pool and beach cove. Upgrade if you can. The reception staff were great, some of the restaurant staff seemed quite abrupt and rude at times; unlike Turkish hospitality.
Review 10:Stunning location, beautiful swimming cove, great breakfast. Quiet location and generally quiet resort.
Review 11:They could improve their restaurant for the evening meal - though we tended to go into Kalkan. Breakfast is fine though and you can get a decent lunch
Review 12:lovely spot - nice staff. Very relaxing and would definitely visit again.
Review 13:My only critism would be give a little bit of TLC to the beach restaurant to bring in line with the rest of complex. Better choice on lunchtime menu.
Review 14:Fantastic views Immaculately clean Staff very helpful and friendly
Review 15:Breakfast a bit basic. Not much variety
Review 16:It has a nice relaxed atmosphere and the staff are very helpful. One of the selling aspects is the ability to go straight into the sea from the edge of the rocks area
Review 17:Nothing really. However, over the last 18 months or so the owner has invested very heavily in making impressive improvements to the hotel. As this is a rolling programme of improvements it has left a few of the original rooms and facilities by the sea looking a little tired by comparison. But improvements appear to be very much in hand.
Review 18:The Kulube's location within Kalkan is superb, an oasis of calm bythe sea that is within relatively easy reach of the hustle and bustle ofKalkan harbour. The Kulube team are fantastic, they're very attentive and always eager to please and nothing is too much trouble to ensure the guests enjoy their stay. The Chef and his team prepare some of the best food in Kalkan. For freshness and quality of ingredients it has to be the best value in town!! This was our third visit over a number of years and the owner has ensured the quality of service has remained consistently high. We'll definitely be back!!
Review 19:Breakfast was ok but a bit limited.
Review 20:Great swimming and sunbathing - Molly the dog is a star. Staff all really helpful & couldn't do enough for you. Our room was newly built and was of a very high standard.
Review 21:Limited cooked options at breakfast, cereals were too sweet. Overall breakfast could be a little better for our tastes. Really enjoyed all other food.
Review 22:Very impressed with quality of hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Overall perfect base for exploring the area.
Review 23:No complaints but less mobile guests should be warned the steps are challenging between all the levels. "Toiletries" consisted of a tiny bar of soap. Shampoo please!
Review 24:The spacious room (in fact two rooms) with view but not in direct sun.Two pools on different levels provide sunning opportunities but we preferred to descend to the private cove with clear water and ideal bathing. Those who do so are joined by "Molly" a golden retriever who loves to swim with guests. Breakfast is taken on the pool bar level, lunch at another lower terrace and and dinner at another so no sense of crowding. Food good and reasonable prices (esp snacks). WiFi free & dependable. Our room-maid did wonderful sculptures with the towels on the beds.
Review 25:How much they charge for laundry... TYR 150 for a small bag of laundry! Should have gone to a laudromat
Review 26:The location and Cliffside restaurant & bar.
Review 27:Our suite was in the main building on the upper floor without an elevator. We looked at it as an exercise, but it could be a problem. Be prepared to walk up and down a lot.
Review 28:Beautiful grounds. Room was very comfortable with the balkony overlooking the sea. Garden terraces to the sea. Restaurants on two levels. Good breakfast. Very helpful staff. Mini-bus goes to the center of Kalkan. We missed the last one, and reception called the cab for us. We stayed only one night and wished we could stay longer.
Review 29:Air conditioner in bedroom for 4 was only just adequate
Review 30:Friendly staff, great waterfront location. Clean and tidy and perfect for our stopover en route to Kas.
Review 31:i had a duplex suite over 2 stories and the AC was in the stairs so the room overall took long time to cool down.
Review 32:private beach access (rocky beach which is the best to swim in clear waters) accessible also night restaurant overlooking the see the owner have a wonderful Dog Molly who will swim with you all day long ;-)
Review 33:The room are pretty basic and poorly decorated.
Review 34:Peaceful location 5min drive from the center of the city, perfect private beach, great breakfast and helpful staff. Good value for money (the deal we got on Booking, not the actual price)
Review 35:Food was poor and limited, weren't sure what services were open when, hotel seemed to be more for the hotel owners family than residents. Rooms were very cheaply out together and small, no nice area to sit outside our room.
Review 36:Layout of the grounds, views, sea access, close to Kalamar beach club. This hotel could be so much better, lovely place.
Review 37:It's quite isolated which may not suit everyone. No paper allowed in the loo is not great.
Review 38:Lovely views. Really friendly helpful staff
Review 39:Perfect Fantastic views Friendly staff , great breakfast A little peice of heaven Going back in May
Review 40:2nd visit to this little gem
Review 41:Very old establishment
Review 42:Location
Review 43:The room could have benefitted with a new bed.
Review 44:Location was excellent, very relaxing , staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 45:Lack of evening entertainment
Review 46:The private beach area
Review 47:The hotel is on the Sea for a proper sea and swim holiday.
Review 48:Wonderful renovated rooms, beautiful hotel!
Review 49:Room with pool, location, hotel overall.
Review 50:Absolutely nothing
Review 51:Amazing hotel, staff, location, pool, cove, everything truly great
Review 52:Nothing really
Review 53:Great value for money, friendly and helpful staff. The best location in Kalkan with a private bay. Would definitely recommend!
Review 54:No coffe in the suite rooms , no dressing towel in the room , no towel around of the pools
Review 55:Pool , location , suite rooms and sea
Review 56:Fantastic value for money, beautiful location and really friendly helpful staff. Would highly recommend!
Review 57:little bit far out of town - not ideal if you don't have your own transport. Our bathroom was in need of updating
Review 58:service, view and swimming
Review 59:Room was very basic, lack of air con would have made the room very uncomfortable as the temperature rose. We were there for 1 night only so could bear with it. Stairs very narrow and winding wouldn't stay with children.
Review 60:Loved the atmosphere and cottage feel to the apartments. Restaurant food was very good so was the pool bar. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Needs updating and air con installed. Would stay again but not for long periods if no aircon.
Review 61:the rooms are basic, but they are clean
Review 62:The beach & the pool! the staff were so lovely & friendly, the food at the hotel was very good. the private beach is beautiful, a dream come true. I would love to spend many more days there!!
Review 63:Its a long walk from town (taxis v expensive and only 3 shuttles a day). We were there for our honeymoon and even though I mentioned that to the hotel a few times prior they did nothing to make it extra special for us (where as all the other hotels on our trip did)
Review 64:Beautiful views and suntanning decks down to the water.
Review 65:The lunch time food was a bit basic.
Review 66:A great hotel for a week in the sun. The staff were generally very good (especially Hussain by the beach bar). The rooms are fine for what you need on a beach holiday - not luxurious but perfectly adequate and clean. The fact that you have a choice of pools or the sea side terraces are a big bonus
Review 67:The staff watching football on the bar TV. We thought it very loud and although was supposed to entertain the clients, the staff we more interested in watching it than serving customers.
Review 68:Having a private, access to the sea, below the hotel. Quiet, normally no children are allowed, but, there was on one occasion screaming kids on the sun decks. One of the reasons we chose this hotel. The reception staff and the breakfast manager were very Professional. Sea view from our bedroom window.
Review 69:Our expectations from this hotel after reading the comments misleaded us. Room was not clean. There were spider nets in every corner and even on top of bed. There were also smelling winter blankets. We have asked extra cleaning and remove these from room. After we asked, they bring us shampoo; -not exist in standard. Everything in room looks so cheep. Breakfast was terrible. There were molds on cheeses and there were out of date items. After we warn them, they remove all these from table. Location is far from centre. To sum up, we don't recommend this hotel.
Review 70:It has its own platform to swim at sea.
Review 71:Having to walk a very large hill to get into Kakkan no free shuttle bus as advertized (only when we arrived at the hotel we found out the bus doesn't run in June) 18 turkish lire for one way taxi not cheap.Drink prices at hotel very expensive,
Review 72:loved the setting and the views, nice & quite, very relaxing. (no children even better)Plenty of choice for breakfast.
Review 73:The stairs down to the sea although this was only because my girlfriend was pregnant, the beds were too hard. Would be beneficial to have a shuttle service into town
Review 74:The hotel has an excellent location, but is a taxi ride to town. The staff are very welcoming an service excellent. It has extensive sea views.
Review 75:No shampoo or body lotion was provided.
Review 76:Beautiful setting, private lounge areas, private access to sea.
Review 77:Nothing
Review 78:Amazing views and terraced down to sea
