Reviews for Hotel Le Luxembourg
Review 1:Bit run down and dated (or is that Belgian chic? (steps from car park were a liability!). Quite expensive for what it was. Breakfast was ok, not great quality food.
Review 2:Glad that it was only one night! Excellent location for exploring the town.
Review 3:A bit noisy as our room was facing the street. On booking was not mentioned that our three-bed room has a private toilet, even if it was located on the hall way. No vegetables for breakfast.
Review 4:It was money worth in terms of price vs quality.
Review 5:Rooms were a bit older but never the less they were clean.
Review 6:Friendly owner, nice staff, clean rooms and excellent breakfast. Free parking, we could make use of it, free of charge, the whole day after checking out.
Review 7:Credit card was charged on day of booking, receipt upon arrival? Bed had rubber protection on matress, too warm and somewhat uncomfortable Shower was in a corner of the room, no separation!
Review 8:Pleasant and friendly owners Good breakfast Good location
Review 9:they took the money from the reservation credit card without checking which card I wanted to use and also charged me for my friends room at the same time
Review 10:good location and parking, rooms ok morning staff friendly and breakfast good
Review 11:Excellent for mountain biking. You can store your bikes and wash them off after riding the muddy trails
Review 12:ALL OK
Review 13:PLEASANT OWNER
Review 14:rather small room, maybe not sufficient for longer stay
Review 15:breakfast in charming restaurant, silence in the bedroom
Review 16:The location. The staff. The breakfast in the cafe.
Review 17:Pretty much everything
Review 18:Leaving
Review 19:Rather drab Expensive for what it is Old and low quality fixtures and fittings
Review 20:Close to town centre Had WiFi Good breakfast
Review 21:Room and facilities are quite old and should be refurbished
Review 22:- Location - Facilities in working order
Review 23:We wanted to book a 4 persons room. It wasn't available through Booking.com. We booked a 3 persons room with two adults and two children. We thought we would manage as usual. The owner immediately told us we had to pay for another room. We paid him € 51 (incl tax) for a very standard room without toilet and shower. When we told him we wanted to swap rooms with our friends who booked a 4 person family room through Booking.com, after we booked our room the male staff flipped and got very unfriendly. He did not allow us to swap rooms. Shouting "You dutch are all the same"..."Tell Booking.com how bad are service is"...so now we do. We will not return to this hotel, as general room standards are below our limits as well. Lots of plastic, like showerwalls and lots of it looks bad or is broken.
Review 24:Well, actually...nothing.
Review 25:Our bathroom seemed to have been painted recently and had a strong smell which was also coming into the bedroom.
Review 26:The hotel is very close to the town center, everything is easily reachable by foot. Rooms are very basic but cosy. Breakfast and staff were very nice.
Review 27:The rooms are small.
Review 28:The Staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable although not spacious, not a problem unless you wanted to spend all day in your room (if so why not stay at home ) . The surrounding area scenic and has a Castle in the town. I would be happy to recommend the hotel to my friends.
Review 29:I didn't like the fact that I was told it was en-suite and it ended upthere was a diy shower and sink in the room and the toilet was shared atthe end of the hall. The toilet area was not the cleanest with the fanfull of dust and dirt. The sink in our room would not stop dripping.
Review 30:The owner was very friendly and the breakfast was very nice. The viewfrom our room was really beautiful and we enjoyed the location of thehotel very much.
Review 31:Even though I had requested a quiet room on the booking form (inFrench), the room allocated (on the second floor) overlooked the outdooreating area at the front. When I complained about the diners beingnoisy, the hotel owner told me that "there's something called earplugs".However, the subsequent three evenings the noise was kept down. There isa fixed menu dinner every evening. It's a shame that it isn't displayedat breakfast - it seems to have been too late to order it when Ireturned to the hotel in the late afternoons.
Review 32:Excellent location just 5 mins walk from the town high street.Comfortable bed in a good size, clean room with ok storage, nicelypresented breakfast hosted by a very friendly and helpful woman (don'tknow if she speaks English; heard her speak French and Dutch). Easyparking behind the hotel. Good internet access. One bbc channel.
Review 33:Not so much a dislike, but might have been nice to have a bigger tv -maybe a flat screen on the wall (was hard to see from one bed location). But then again, wasn't in town to watch a lot of tv.
Review 34:We had a nice stay at Hotel Le Luxembourg - the staff was veryhospitable and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a great varietyand taste.
Review 35:We only stayed one day....
Review 36:Very friendly staff, welcoming and doing their utmost to make the guests feel at home
Review 37:The very friendly staff - they made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Very good breakfast in the morning.
Review 38:Hospitality, friendlyness and good kitchen.
