Review 1：The bathroom fan was entirely too loud. I had to unplug it. It sounded like it was made for an airplane hangar.

Review 3：The room was over $200 per night, first offered a room without air conditioning, then changed. to room with air. Temperature was over 84. No pool, no coffee, no ice machine, light for sink was 6 feet away, no table and chair to plan day's events. Very poor value. Will not return..

Price was too much for this place -- we paid over $100 because we booked kind of late and nowhere else was available. We felt we paid too much. Also, the room was tiny but the bathroom was big.

Review 13：When I called in advance to request that their cleaning people not spray room fresheners or leave harsh chemical residues (I'm allergic to these), I was told I had to make my request via the comment portion of my online reservation, which I did. I called in the morning of my arrival to remind about this request, when I was told the motel had no control over what housekeeping did. When I arrived as scheduled (8PM), I asked whether the back or the front of the building would be quieter and was told the back would be quieter. Shortly after I went to bed, a dog began barking in the yard of an adjacent property. I called the front desk to request that they speak to the neighbor about the dog being their yard barking, but the person at the front desk said there was nothing they could do about it and refused to speak to the neighbor. Surely they were aware of this dog problem, but still had advised that the back of their building was quieter! (The dog woke me at least seven or eight times times during the night.) Also, there was no facial tissue, there were clots of long black hair on the blanket, and the TV only received one channel, a Spanish speaking one. If there was a way to get other channels (I tried going up and down the channels numerically), there was no explanation available about how to accomplish it. Since I quickly learned the next morning that there was no simple way to get back on the freeway (101S), there should have been instructions about that left in the room. I wasted 25 minutes trying to get accurate instructions from people I saw on the street. The people who run this motel (probably the owners since it was probably their BMW parked parallel to the main entrance the entire time I was there, partially blocking access by other cars) quite obviously couldn't care less about their guests. They clearly count on one night stays only to make a profit since very few people would want to stay a second night.

Review 60：We stayed in Salinas only because we struggled to find a motel with a rate less than 100$ on friday night, unbelievable. Actually the price we paid for the Western of 94$ is too high for the location and the size of the room. Anyway it seems this is the way things work in California. The bathroom was too large compared with the size of the room: the should have kept it smaller and the bedroom part larger. There is no place to sit or to place things. Salinas is quite big but we could not find a shopping centre belonging to the usual chains nearby.
Review 61：the room was clean, with a very large bathroom. Despite the size of the room, very poor, there are fridge and microwave. The building and the room looked new or refurbished. Wifi was ok. In the end cleaness remains the most important thing.
