Reviews for Cedar Crest Inn
Review 1:They upgraded some of us to a deluxe room, which is nice. Spacious and lots of electrical outlets which makes a bit of a change! There is no breakfast but there is a restaurant on site. However, with a car, it's easy to get to a lot of very nice cafes and restaurants nearby.
Review 2:Wish it would of included breakfast. There was a restaurant nearby though.
Review 3:This Inn is a really good secret. It looks a little old style on the outside but the guest rooms are like a high end Botique Hotel. Biggest bathroom I have ever seen!
Review 4:I have nothing negative to say about our stay here.
Review 5:Very well located'close to Main stream downtown Camden. Layout of office and buildings..ample parking. Great Restaurant on site. Staff exceptional friendly. Rooms were very clean. I'd certainly stay there again.
Review 6:The location was not too bad, you couldn't walk to the shops but they were just a short drive away. The bed was comfy, the room had plenty of heat or air whichever you wanted. The woman at the front desk was very kind and helpful.
Review 7:Pillows on bed were big and hard, the extra pillows tucked in drawers much better. There were three in our party, cream for coffee in room was set up for two after one of the servicings.
Review 8:Location and accommodations were great at a reasonable price.
Review 9:There are 3 buildings; suggest staying on second floor...we had requested first floor, but heard people upstairs every time they walked...very loud water noise when people upstairs using facilities. Restaurant was closed for breakfast due to private gathering.
Review 10:Clean, comfortable, excellent staff, rooms are decorated very cute and quaint. Comfortable beds.
Review 11:None
Review 12:We got a room on the second floor at the far wing of the hotel which was quite clean and comforth. The breakfast in the morning was great and you could choose from many options. Very good place.
Review 13:Our only small complaint would be that the pillows were way too firm and heavy, but that is a personal preference.
Review 14:The room was comfortable and close enough for us to walk back into town. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Review 15:Beautiful setting and attractive buildings, also attractive, well-furnished, and clean room; lovely garden area; delicious continental breakfast in the restaurant on week days. Great location. We were in town for a family wedding and this was just what we needed. Thank you!
Review 16:It was a beautiful well appointed room, extremely clean. The free breakfast was outstanding. Lots of homemade goodies. My hats off to the lady who prepared it.
Review 17:Would like coffee available 24/7 in the lobby if at all possible. Although there is a coffee maker in the room some mornings persons occupying the same room do not arise at the same time.
Review 18:Friendly staff and cleanliness of rooms and grounds.
Review 19:Room keys didn't work but personnel came right away to replace the whole lock in the door. Luckily bathroom window was open so he could crawl into and unlock from the inside.
Review 20:Lovely view. Room is older but clean and neat. Personnel very nice and breakfast was very nice.
Review 21:No directions on what to do at breakfast -- and there were staff in the kitchen - but they didn't say anything to 4 of us who followed the signs, but didn't know what to do.
Review 22:The staff were very nice and welcoming.
Review 23:Shower water temperature fluctuates-small, outdated television.
Review 24:Clean, comfortable room. Within walking distance to center of town. Quiet, restaurant on premises. Free wi-fi
Review 25:Could use bigger bed than full but may have just been room we ended up with for the price we sought
Review 26:Lg room pretty and clean good restaurant on the premise and great music the night we were there
Review 27:Breakfast surely could have been better....It was a continental breakfast....but I've stayed enough places to know a better effort wouldn't have been that hard.
Review 28:Everything but the continental breakfast
Review 29:Outdated decor and very noisy in room. Could hear way to much from other rooms beside you. There also needs to be a warning about the showers. Ours went ice cold while showering based on what others were doing at same time. In other words....when another room flushed the toilet or started shower while you were in yours....ICE COLD SHOWER for you. Quite a shocker
Review 30:The size of the room was great.
Review 31:Nothing
Review 32:A great spot within an easy 15-20 minute walk to the town center. Staff was very kind and helpful. Room was clean and all appliances worked great.
Review 33:Breakfast was wonderful but we didn't see any trash bins to pick up after ourselves. I felt bad leaving it on the table for someone else to take care of.
Review 34:The hotel was very quaint and felt like home.
Review 35:Older facility but very clean and well maintained. Located less than a mile from Camden restaurants and shops. Complimentary Breakfast with a variety of choices was available in a pleasant dining area. Helpful and friendly front desk staff, too. Would stay there again.
Review 36:Pool out of action but we were offered alternative nearby. Laundry out of action also!
Review 37:Nice location and gardens. Attached restaurant provided mediocre fare but the live jazz made it better. Close to Camden shopping.
Review 38:Price did not include breakfast we thought we were booking a B and B. Advertising was confusing.
Review 39:Room decor, closeness to restaurant, could have adjoining rooms
Review 40:We had a fantastic room on the first floor that gave us an excellent view of the surroundings. We enjoyed dining at the restaurant and were Lucky that the Jazz band was playing, the men we're extremely good (especially Rasta man on base) but we were not to impressed about the lady singer for she’s no jazz musician she just doesn’t have the jazz vibe/voice. Over all we had a wonderful stay, we were made welcome and I would gladly pass on this address to anyone planning to visit Maine.
Review 41:This motel was the surprise of our trip to New England. Location was great, the room was clean, roomy and the beds were comfortable. Thestaff was helpful and friendly. Great value.
Review 42:The building may be older. We could hear the people walking around and showering in the wee hours of the morning. Q
Review 43:The room was clean, the grounds well maintained, a restaurant right there. We enjoyed out stay here. For the price, it was great!
Review 44:We liked that it was a last minute booking on a 3-day weekend and ended up with a very clean, quiet, affordable place to stay overnight near downtown Camden. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Review 45:The property is well maintained and the staff helpful and knowledgeable. The convenience to the towns of Camden, Rockport and Rockland was key in our picking this facility. Having an on-site laundry was very helpful as we had come off a 4 day Windjammer Cruise with dirty clothes.
Review 46:If there is a negative point, you could hear the shower and toilet flushing from other rooms, but this is often the case, and no worse than in any other motel/hotel.
Review 47:Very friendly and helpful staff. Good size room and bathroom facilities.
Review 48:Some beds are good and some are just OK and nearing time for replacement.
Review 49:Great location, walk to Camden Condition of property Good restaurant on site Friendly, helpful staff Price
Review 50:Could they please display the restaurant's menu in the window.
Review 51:Comfortable and cozy and within easy access to everything. Friendly staff, great WIFI reception, no complaints! Would definitely stay here again.
Review 52:Refrigerator tough to regulate.
Review 53:The place while not the most modern is clean and well maintained. We were in the back building so it was quiet. The bed (queen) was good. Hanging baskets with flowers was a nice touch.
Review 54:Sometimes we could hear the guests walking up above our room...but it was very minor.
Review 55:Even tho the decor is a bit dated, it is VERY well maintained and the room immediately felt like home. Unusual soaps and lotion. Front desk attendant was a delight. Great shower and lots of hot water. We liked it so much we stayed here twice during our trip.
Review 56:Walk across parking lot to a great restaurant for breakfast & dinner. Great food, great value. Room was large & very clean. Walked to town every day, just under a mile. Jazz on Tues& Fri was awesome.
Review 57:This motel, just slightly outside of downtown Camden, was a comfortable, peaceful place to stay at a reasonable price compared to many very expensive, facilities in town. Room was pleasant, beds were good, and we had a nice breakfast the next morning - at our own expense- in the attached restaurant. Families with children will find the grounds - pool and play equipment - an added bonus. Gerry, Worcester
Review 58:Being just on the south end of town, it was very easy to get to all points south. It was an easy drive to the center if town. In the summer when traffic on the highway is heavy, and parking in Camden is difficult, I would just walk (about 20 minutes). Adjacent restaurant is very good and fairly priced. With windows at both front and rear of the room, it was easy to get fresh air.
Review 59:The room that I booked did not have an option for the continental breakfast.
Review 60:Let me check in a bit early (about an hour). They have a restaurant on site (I did not eat there thou). Location to Camden was within walking distance.
Review 61:- pillows ... sorry ...they were so fat that it put a strain on my neck ... however, I will bring my own pillow next time - the restaurant looked tired and not very clean, not up to the high standard of the rest of the facility
Review 62:Room size (generous) & nice bathroom - loved backing onto the forested green space & the surrounding gardens in front - nice seating area outside of room - very high standard of cleanliness - loved the setback from the road noise - very good service - extra blankets - air conditioning - high quality toiletries (esp. the hand soap) room amenities: small fridge, iron & board, hair dryer, suitcase caddies ... -tasteful decor - substantial binder of info. for the Inn and for surrounding area
Review 63:no fridge.
Review 64:they everything do make the stay a pleasant one. even an info folder with (local) suggestions, where to dine, what to see etc. is provided.
Review 65:The staff was so kind, our room was great, nice and clean and very quiet. It's a very pretty little place and we would definitely stay there again.
Review 66:Laundry facilities right next to our room which was a great opportunity after being on the road for over a week. The breakfast at the on site restaurant was home style cooking and the porch was welcoming in the early morning sunshine. This is a clean and well and lovingly maintained property.
Review 67:The restaurant closed early and the price was a little high for a motel
Review 68:The room was clean, comfortable and quiet with an operable window to permit "natural Maine air conditioning."
Review 69:Small television!
Review 70:Friendly, courteous staff; quiet location; room was well appointed, very clean; best pillows in the world(!!); nearby restaurant was very good; everything was very good value for the $; pool area and general landscaping were a delight; the hanging baskets and urns of flowers added so much to the overall experience--everywhere you looked, there was a pleasant view.
Review 71:Yet another hotel bathroom with no toilet brush. Whats that about?
Review 72:lush setting, great breakfast, easy parking, a few minutes walk to pretty port town of camden.
Review 73:No breakfast included. But then we normally dont eat breakfast, so no big deal. Would like to be closer to town but that would cost you double!
Review 74:Large comfortable room. Very clean. Not luxurious but for the price, its excellent. Comfortable beds. Cross ventilation with windows at each end. Would definitely stay here again.
Review 75:We felt so welcome after a long day on the road. Room was attractive, comfortable and nicely appointed. The on-site restaurant was just what we needed after our arrival, and advice about local breakfast cafes was right on.
Review 76:No complaints!
Review 77:The Inn was quaint, about .7 mile walk from town. Friendly staff and the breakfast in the adjacent cafe was good. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.
Review 78:Very, very clean rooms. I cannot emphasize enough how clean our room was! Great location. Very close to Camden Hills State Park. Friendly staff. Very fair price.
Review 79:Restaurant closed on Mondays. Without a car, this is awkward. Nothing in practicl walking distance.
Review 80:The receptionist informed us the restaurant was to be closed the following day, so no breakfast. We had no car, but she arranged for us to be brought to the sister inn, Country Inn down the road, for breakfast and back. So kind and considerate. Excellent beds. Beautiful grounds.
Review 81:Even though we only stayed here for one night, this was the cleanest room I've ever seen. The decor was dated but the spotlessness more than made up for it!
Review 82:Disappointed in the location

Review 103:Friendliness of the staff and workers.
Review 104:Coffee maker had not been cleaned from previous guest.
Review 105:Location
Review 106:quaint, new England style motel--good restaurant on site--good location to town, clean
Review 107:Easy in, easy out.
Review 108:Noisy air con,dated appliances
Review 109:Clean,handy
Review 110:The privacy - we were in the back building and it was quite.
Review 111:Very comfortable, friendly and good location!
