Review 1：As to be expected sam marino is an old town up on top of a mountain..so lots of walking up hills and no lift in hotel,but parking is available 200 metres away (up and down hill)

Review 3：Hard to find at first so just take a taxi. Hotel should include a better map with good directions to prevent this. Owner didn't speak a word of English so it was very hard to communicate. He needs to have a Translator App on his phone to help with this. I'm sure we aren't the only English speakers that come there. The APP would help with other languages too. A little more variety on the breakfast would be good. Mostly rolls and coffee.

Review 7：Great location and very friendly staff. The room was clean and an excellent choice for us. We used a family room and had a Queen for us and 2 singles for the kids. I would recommend this as a great place to stay in the middle of San Marino. (When you leave parking 6, walk DOWN the hill at the Y)

Review 8：Very nicely maintained small hotel in a convenient location within San Marino, parking for a small charge is very nearby. Staff was excellent and waited well beyond checking-in time when we were delayed on the road until late evening (thank you!). Good breakfast for a small hotel. Rooms were modern and clean.

Review 9：The mattress was extremely hard and I could,t get comfortable, although my partner thought it was great. Although the rooms say they have soundproofing, this is not exactly true. You could hear everything from the rooms next to and adjacent to the room we were in. This I have put down to Italians being very loud altogether in my experience.

Review 14：Perfect location in heart of San Marino! Very clean, friendly helpful staff! There is not a luxury hotel but really good if you are not going to spend all your time at hotel! Close parking number 1 for 4 euro per day (you have to buy ticket at the hotel). Good wifi!

Review 18：This is a lovely little hotel, in a lovely location just a few minutes from the P6 car park. The rooms were comfortable and clean, as was the whole hotel. The young lady on reception was very helpful and friendly, and made us feel very welcome. San Marino itself was a very nice surprise to us all, so much better than expected

Clean and spacious rooms are well designed - a perfectly balanced combination of modern and traditional interior. Staff is extremely friendly. Due to its location in the old town, parking is not awailble at the hotel but is only short 2 minutes walk away.

Review 23：Located in the old city in a fantastic location, the hotel is absolutely beautiful. We planned to stay there for one night only, however we ended being there for 2 nights. The room was very clean, bed sheets sparkly white, impeccable toilet, amazing view. The staff was nice, calm and friendly( by the way, this is characteristic for all locals in San Marino) and made us feel welcomed. The breakfast was delicious! A great destination,we will definitely come back, I rate the hotel and our experience 10+

Review 25：Great and friendly staff always willing to help. Great bed, good size bathroom, quiet and in the main center close to everything. I would totally chose it agin. In the last day they even allow me a late check out. This is great choice.

Somewhat difficult to find the first time and you need to traverse baggage about 100m down an inclined roadway, which, fortunately, is pedestrian only.

Review 31：It was like faire tale after Brenero(Rimini). It has a good geolakation and big rooms. La Grotta is in the middle of a historical life. It was comfortable and cozy. We had a good rest in this hotel. And I think that we will come their soon.

Review 32：Too expensive, but that's San Marino. Otherwise fine. The only downside (or upside?) is that there's a long steep climb to get there, but the Citta' is a steep place.

Review 33：The location of this hotel is great, within the Citta' but not in the loud center. The staff are very nice but don't speak much English. The first room they gave us (due to our bed preference) was small and had no view, but then they gave us a different bed at our request, with an incredible sweeping view of the landscape.

Review 64：The location is great and the people that work there were very nice and helpful. They don't have parking, but they offered a parking pass for 4 euro. I don't remember seeing information about this when I booked the hotel, but it's a cheaper amount than just paying the meter in Lot 7.

My wife and I both think San Marino is one of the best places we have visited in Europe and are talking about returning next year. If we return we will definitely stay at La Grotta again.

Review 70：The hotel is in the middle of the city center in an old but renovated building, the rooms are very nice with new furniture and some of them has view to the terrain around. The staff is very helpful.

Review 72：The service in the hotel was excellent. They were very concern about my needs and about weather I like the place and my stay there or not. And for me that is more important sometimes. I like that the hotel seems to be renovated, because it was very clean and taking into account every single detail. I would be in that hotel if I have to stay. And another last point, it was very money worth, since it was not that expensive and you have everything you want, including breakfast. The only thing is that they don't have a nice view to the landscape of San Marino and the mountains, but I can get the view out of my room so it was not big deal at all.
