Review 1：Gym was disappointing, no towels available, no cups for the water. Weight machine outdated. Could use another excersise bike.

Review 3：I booked 2 standard rooms and requested connecting. Did not find out until I arrived that the only connecting rooms on the property are club rooms, of which none were available. I would have appreciated a call ahead of time to let me know that my request was impossible to fulfill. I probably would have booked a different hotel.

Review 4：I was able to get a great rate on booking.com. Nice property, room was clean, and bathroom was very large. Close to Penn State and convenient to stay to attend hockey and basketball games.

Review 20：We had a check in time of 4pm. When we arrived at 5pm we were told the room was being checked so it would be perfect for us. We had to wait about 20 minutes. I was disappointed it wasn't ready on time. A continental breakfast would have been nice. I later saw coffee pots in the lobby, but nothing was said when we arrived to make us feel welcome.

Review 21：The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. It was quiet at night.

Review 22：Old, rooms dated and furniture is scarred from use and age wax drippings and rings on all the furniture.. Rooms are more like a old motel. Expect to carry your luggage up stairwells to your room that overlooks a parking lot with dumpsters. Sheets and blankets sticking out if the comforter. We didn't stay!

Review 24：No elevator, but not a deal breaker. Was disappointed in the heating/cooling in the room. Was a cool night, so had to turn on the heat in the middle of the night. It was so hot in the bed next to the unit that my son got up and turned it off as he said he was melting. Tissues terribly scratchy. But a lovely stay overall.

Review 30：Had to be switched four times to different rooms..all had water and mold issues..very disgusting, disgusting carpets, staff was ok, but not great, and the restaurant is not educated properly about Gluten allergies. Awful!!!

Review 32：Well, I asked the guy at the counter where the nearest elevator was, and he replied "at the Holiday Inn". Turns out the second floor was maybe half a flight up, so no big deal. A day later I asked for a wake-up call and the guy said "I don't believe in them", then said he was kidding and said he would provide one. The next morning I didn't get a wake-up call.

Review 33：As a resort with pool and golf course it is probably nice. I did not use those facilities, but rather it was in a convenient location for a family event and other people I knew were staying there. They definitely enjoyed the pool, though!

Review 34：Rooms need a renovation. Rooms were not cleaned very well. Behind the bed and dressers dirt and garbage were visible. Under the vanity in the bathroom was not cleaned. Hair in the shower was not mine. Someone made the bed the first night with the flat sheet over the top of the comforter. They probably forgot to put it under it and didn't want to bother to correct it. No elevator, had to lug my heavy suitcase to my room. The desk staff offered to carry it but I didn't want to burden them.

Review 35：The front desk staff were very friendly. The location was convenient to my conference at Penn State. Parking was free and adequate.

Review 36：The bathroom and room was pretty dirty. The 2nd night they didn't even leave trash bags in the trash cans and left a bottle of spray in the bathroom. Didn't leave tissue box or soup in the bathroom the second night. The room smelled very musty and dump as there was mold somewhere in the room. Was actually pretty disappointed with the room and wasn't as close to the university as it was advertised. This hotel was a very expensive version of motel 6 and did not offer breakfast.

Review 63：Due to the fact that I was there on the night of a large water main break and the development of a large sink-hole on the property, it is hard to make a fair evaluation; however, the front desk staff were not equipped to handle the situation and guests were told to go to other, nearby hotels where rooms would be available for showering and morning routine activities with no voucher and no explanation that Toftrees would comp the rooms. Upon arriving at the new facility, there were no rooms and much confusion as to the situation. The new site did make alternate arrangements down the road who provided a room for an hour to shower and change for a business meeting. My only comment would be that Toftrees front desk staff needs to be better informed as to how to handle emergencies.

Review 80：I booked a Queen bed with sofa bed as Last Minite Deal on the day of my arrival. However as I checked in, I found out that the spring quality of sofa bed so awful to sleep on. Since it was Last Mimute Deal, mu reservation cannot be canceled nor modified. However, Catheline at the fron dest listened to my complaint carefully and changed it to two double bed room. Thanks to her generosity, I could sleep on a fine bed and was fully relaxed and refreshed the next morning. Thank you Catheline!! (I hope I remeber her name correctly.)

Review 81：The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The view from the room was beautiful. We would definitely stay here again. It's also located near some beautiful landscapes.
