Reviews for Grand Anzac Hotel
Review 1:Nothing Really. The shower was a little cramped and took a while to warm up, but honestly that didn't bother us at all. Also, you can't get wifi in the room, but you're underground what do you expect?
Review 2:This place was awesome. Right in the heart of Göreme and we got to sleep in a stone dug out room! The food was pretty good and sleeping underground kept us nice and cool. Apo, the owner was unbelievably friendly and generous with advice and his time. He even offered to drop us down the road at the beginning of a canyon walk we wanted to do. We took him up on his offer and after a massive 16 hour night shift he drove us! For Nothing!
Review 3:A little tricky to find as the "ANZAC hotel" is far more obvious but is only a block away.
Review 4:We only stayed one night and wished it was longer. The front desk staff were very helpful and out room spacious and comfortable. I really cant fault the hotel and though it excellent value. If I ever get the chance to visit the Gallipoli Peninsula again I will base myself here and catch the ferry across (only a short walk away)
Review 5:The supper menu was thrown out the window when we were there, presumably to facilitate a large group of sports teams... a single meal was on offer (not that the food was bad, just no options). 2 star rating on account of the thin walls.
Review 6:Very Clean. We would rate this a low 2 star Hotel. Although we were in one of their biggest rooms, we were still limited for space with 2 adults and 2 teen agers. Staff were excellent and willing to help whenever they could (tours, maintenance, etc.)
Review 7:It was a little hard to find because signage is not great because it looks like you go down a one way street the wrong way if you are in a car!
Review 8:I liked the location and very helpful staff, I asked for a couple of tea bags and the young gentleman bought me back 3 cups of tea with an assortment of lovely biscuits and when I tried to pay him he completely refused actually he seemed a little offended, I was really impressed with the service, I have stayed here before and I will be again.
Review 9:nothing, everything great! Highly recommend
Review 10:Staff so welcoming, helpful, great English Breakfast was excellent Bed & Shower great Location very central to Water Internet fast Organised trips for us, best prices! Couldn"t ask for better
Review 11:Would have preferred a balcony room, with a chair.
Review 12:Canakkale is a nice University town with good access to Troy and Gallipoli. The three Grand Anzac Hotels are all in good locations with easy access to the Ferry and facilities. Recommended. Will - Wales.
Review 13:Air Condition was nice and strong, but blew right onto bed. if there were some way to divert it, I'd give this place 5 stars!!
Review 14:Comfort. Service. Quiet. (I stayed in a rear room). Food. Staff (SO friendly and accommodating).
Review 15:Nothing
Review 16:The room was nice, the breakfast was awesome and it had a few English TV channels, great location and helpful and friendly employees, also had cheap car parking and I even got a gift bag when I left.
Review 17:Some of the staff were a bit surly and I sometimes felt we were an inconvenience rather than a guest.
Review 18:The Grand ANZAC is a great place to stay. Handy to everything.
Review 19:Wifi was poor, constantly refreshing. Missed emails by a day. Beds average, sheets and blankets not long enough for me(6 foot adult). Still, worth the money(reasonable).
Review 20:Walk out the door and you're in the heart of Cannakale- cobblestone street, people sitting at little tables on the narrow sidewalk smoking, drinking tea, playing backgammon. Except for vehicles it could have been 100 years ago.
Review 21:The soap and shampoo in the bathroom, the noise from the street and the parking because it was far from hotel
Review 22:Spacious room, good breakfast, location near the ferry boat
Review 23:I spent a terrible night in the hotel with my family (2 adults & 2little kids) on 15 June. I stayed there one night on my way to a Turkishresort. The hotel was full with teenagers (on excursion maybe). Shouts, cries, songs, chaos in the corridor, knocks on my door, few rushesdirectly in my room where my kids were trying to fall asleep. I madecouple of calls to the reception staff and there was no reaction. In theend (about 00.30 a,m,) I told the staff that I was going to call thepolice if the chaos kept on. Then the things were calmed down. I wouldnot recommend that hotel to anybody.

Review 32:Difficult to find in car down tiny oneway streets
Review 33:Small rooms and poor breakfast
Review 34:Facility is dated. Room is small. Paper thin wall and was awakened by noises from neighboring room at 6 AM.

Review 51:Friendly and helpful staff. Laundry service Close to ferry Free car parking
Review 52:- staff hotel - breakfast - cleaning - closely ferry For sure I will stay here next trip.
Review 53:Location Staff helpfulness Price/value for money
Review 54:The only minus is the breakfast: low quality juice, jam and yoghurt. Butter was replaced by margarine...
Review 55:Wi-fi
Review 56:Staff Breakfast Comfort
Review 57:not so quiet during the night
Review 58:clean, close to the harbor, pretty easy to reach there
Review 59:Small Room Aircon needed attention to work properly
Review 60:Location Breakfast
Review 61:Noisy guests
Review 62:nothing
Review 63:The hotel is located near the town. Tour was available by the hotel.
Review 64:The parking place is far from the hotel.
Review 65:This Grand Anzac Hotel is very conveniently located 100 metres from the ferry. It is also central to shops and restaurants. The staff were wonderful, very helpful and all spoke very good English. Breakfast suited all tastes, was well presented and of a good standard. The room was quite large, clean and comfortable. For the price, we were very impressed.
Review 66:The rooms are very small and a bit tired. The bathroom needed a thorough cleaning to get rid of the mildew. I did not like the turtle tank in the reception..it seemed wrong somehow.
Review 67:The location for this hotel is very well placed for walking to restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was very good in a clean well lit modern area. Parking the car is easy and the staff retrieved it for us very quickly.
Review 68:A fantastic little hotel but great value for money. staff amazing even down to the lad who came and found us on the main rd as we were lost and could not find the hotel. Rooms average size but perfectly adequate- clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast such good value- everything to suit every taste. Would have had a couple of more nights but moving on to Selcuk on planned route.
Review 69:Noisy at night from nearby restaurants/night clubs
Review 70:Proximity to ferry - about 200 metres Room size was quite large Excellent restaurant nearby Staff friendly and helpful
Review 71:Place is too run down, they are not investing anything on up-grading. Poor management without vision, just milking what they have until the end of the days.
Review 72:Nothing.
Review 73:The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the city, people who work there are very very polite and helpful. It was a really good stay and we will suggest it to other friends and travellers.
Review 74:The staff were not very attentive - when were first arrived they were good, helped us park the car etc, but several times we had the main receptionist talking on the phone while serving us, which is a really bad habit. Also the hot breakfasts were cold, they had the burners turned down. Now normally after pointing this out you think they would offer to cook something for you or heat something up, but they just ignored us. Also there were about half a dozen servers in the breakfast area - most watching tv and one doing the work. At night the room was really loud you could here the staff talking late into the night - I was nearly tempted to get up and tell them to be quiet but I refrained.
Review 75:Overall we were disappointed with this hotel - it had good reviews but we found it lacking in a lot of areas. It was central but getting there is a headache and the parking is off site, and needs to be paid for, they should just include this into your cost. The rooms were quite small but comfortable and the staff member that took us up was helpful in pointing out how things worked.
Review 76:location is good,3 min walk to the port.room is well decorated and the bed is big and comfortable. breakfast is great. everything is perfect, very good hotel.
Review 77:The noise in the room due to other guests very late and very early. The city noise is a fact due to the central location. The low water pressure and very little hot water makes showering not as pleasant as one wishes.
Review 78:Clean rooms, very helpfull personel providing us with city and area tips as well as parking assistance.
Review 79:All perfect
Review 80:The room and the bathroom very clean and comfortable. The breakfastwasnt really in turkish style. Its more to american breakfast and verydelicious. The location very close to restaurnt, mini market, beach, andport. Take 15 mins by car to go to Troia to see the ruins of Troy.Highly recommended.
Review 81:1. The parking it's in other location (~100 m walk, 500 m drive). 2. based on 1st point we made a tour (around of the hotel) before to have possibility to pull out the luggage; one way street. 3. the outside terrace of restaurant it's not so clean or pleasant.
Review 82:1. Very good location (near ferryboat/sea walking area/terraces). 2. Personnel friendly; cleanness of the room/common spaces (except outside terrace of restaurant).
Review 83:The walls between the rooms are thin so you can hear whatever your neighbors and doing/saying.
Review 84:The people at the front desk spoke good English. They were very helpful and the hotel (thankfully) parked our car (as it's down a very small street). The breakfast was good. It's close to the ferry docks and everything we wanted to see in town.
Review 85:beds very hard.
Review 86:people all very friendly and helpful.ideal position for visits to gallipoli and troy. breakfast very good but would not reccommend the dinner!
Review 87:Convenient location to visit Gallipoli. Close to restaurants and waterfront and you can see the Trojan horse without going to Troy. Good military museum.
Review 88:The walls were thin. The neighbours were noisy. The room was right on the street - also noisy. The fish tank need cleaning. The breakfast was not particularly kid friendly.
