Review 1：The only negative comments is that the t.v. was set a little low for comfortable viewing from anywhere other then sitting on the end of the bed. Also, the side chair was more like a dining room chair, not a chair for relaxation.

Review 2：Clean, comfortable and well worth the affordable price. Our room was very nice. The breakfast was the standard fare. I enjoyed the little chocolate muffins and the yogurt the best.

Review 3：breakfast very basic. Only hard boiled eggs for protein. In the fridge. Would prefer sausage, bacon, links, hash brown, and scrambled eggs.

Review 7：Pool and spa were dirty, pavement around spa was crawling with ants. Our room got cleaned the first day - never again the whole time we were there (4 days). The night clerk the night we checked in was pretty abrupt with us - she didn't offer any real pertinent information such as hours for breakfast or whether there was a charge for bottled water. Breakfast was not what we've come to expect from Best Western.

Review 10：The rooms were big, basically sound proof and the staff didn't hassle me about being a day sleeper and not wanting to be bothered.

Review 11：The location; don't know about the rest of Salinas but the bit we saw was 'doors locked, keep some speed on the car' type. I'm not timid, but I decided against going into any fastfood place or convenience store after buying a couple of sandwiches.

Review 19：Some people may find it a bit noisy since it is on a strip of hotels/restaurants, but I wasn't bothered by it at all and everything really seemed to quiet down by about 10:30 pm.

Review 20：I really enjoyed staying here. It was in a decent drive's distance from lots of great sights to see, but was much more accommodating in price than staying in many of those places. The staff was very kind, and the room was comfortable.

Review 21：The staff was very rude & nosey. The laundry closes at a certain time & they tell you when you can & cannot have guests. This was my first & last time staying at a best western. I will continue to stay with my family at the Hamptons from here on out. The Hamptons are very accommodating for families & their customer service is unremarkable, unlike the best western. Our stay at the best western was extremely terrible!

Review 32：There is a full length mirror on the inside of the bathroom door, directly in front of the toilet. No one wants to see that. The fact that the bedroom of this suite has a door, this mirror should be moved.

Review 35：I pulled up to this place and because it is called Best Western Salinas Monterey it is false advertising. 30 minutes from Monterey and no where near the coast. It is the equivalent as calling a hotel Compton Beverly Hills which is also within 30 minutes.

Review 108：We were on our 43rd Wedding Anniversary vacation. The manager knew this and upgraded us to one of their suites. This was very unexpected and very appreciated.

I have stayed at other 3-star hotels with better continental breakfast. The supply of condiments was limited to cream cheese and two different flavors of jelly. The pastries were mini muffins.

Review 120：Location! Next to freeway made it loud and it's not the best area.The local cvs required 2 security guards, one inside and one outside. TThe name is deceiving as well. I didn't research carefully enough,but when I saw Monterey in the name I assumed it was in or really close,but it was not. :( I was happy they refunded my 2nd night since it wasan anniversary we were celebrating. We moved to a place in Monterey,much better location.
