Reviews for Riverside Log Cabins
Review 1:Smelled on cigarettes, the sheets did not look very clean.
Review 2:Cozy little cabins with basic settings, but they have everything you need after a cold day on the slopes. Good value for the price.
Review 3:super cab but how bad we were in had bedbug l and did not know she was allergic and bitten too. 9 days could be just 3 .... but otherwise super endurance more
Review 4:Location
Review 5:LCD TV's would be a nice upgrade. AC/heat wall unit was a bit loud cycling on and off competing with the TV. Need reminder that coffee pot is provided.
Review 6:Location was great. Liked the log cabin look. Nice for a couple. Convenient kitchen, stove, refrigerator and microwave.
Review 7:Beds had to be made by us, they expect you to clean, empty trash and wash dishes before you leave. For $150 a night you have to be kidding me. Very dusty also.
Review 8:Nice experience overall, very nice staff
Review 9:The bed was totally uncomfortable. Neither my wife or I were able to even get a restful sleep. We were so frustrated with it we decided to leave a day early.
Review 10:The location was excellent. It was right between Boone & Blowing Rock, NC. The value, cleanliness, and staff were all good.
Review 11:That our time away was so short! (But we'll be back)
Review 12:It was exactly what we wanted & pleasantly surprised to be able to get it when we did. The hosts (owners?) were wonderful & so helpful.
Review 13:Didn't like having to make our bed. Spoiled I guess! Only had two pillowcases, so could not use extra pillows.
Review 14:Very clean. Very accessible to location. Would stay there again. Hopefully for a longer stay.
Review 15:The pull out couch mattress was pretty soft...seems like it could use replacing.
Review 16:We love the location and that you can have pets. Our kids love the rustic simple nature of the cabins.
Review 17:Heater didn't work. Only gave us one small space heater for the whole unit. They don't make the beds, but leave sheets on the bed and guests have to make it themselves. Blankets had stains and lots of wear.
Review 18:The location is convenient to local tourist attractions. Unit was clean.
Review 19:Located between two other cabins, so close you could look into each other's windows. Had to keep the blinds closed all the time for privacy. WiFi was non-resistant in our cabin.
Review 20:Very clean, well equipped cabin. Convenient to downtown Blowing Rock.
Review 21:Not really a bad experience but for the money charged per night, I think having to make your own bed is asking a bit much. No other problems encountered.
Review 22:Overall facility had anything you could need in accommodations. The log cabin style was very cool and pleasant.
Review 23:Wall mount H/A unit and refridgerator were a bit noisy. The entry way floor could use some stain. That area and the dining table look a little worn.
Review 24:Full-sized kitchen with all amenities. All doorknobs, kitchen knobs, sink faucets seem to be new.
Review 25:The bed wasn't real comfortable. Although I still didn't wake up with back pain...which was good.
Review 26:Walking distance to Tweetsie Railroad. Nice stream just steps away from cabin.
Review 27:A great get away place. Hubby had the stream to go fishing. Only problem was difficulty connecting to the WiFi but since it was a couple of days, it wasn't bothersome. Since it is a smaller place, the privacy is fantastic!
Review 28:I was disappointed that we were close to the road and not by a river as the name implies.
Review 29:Strong sturdy cabin, not able to hear sounds from other cabins or highway. Loved the quick access to nearby attractions and the Blue Ridge Hwy.
Review 30:Staff living on property, right behind our cabin. Felt as though no privacy. Hot tub over filled and not ready for use when we arrived.
Review 31:Close to our planned activities.
Review 32:Newer flat screen televisions would be great.
Review 33:Liked the whole layout of the cabin. Great size (roomy) for two people. Liked that the kitchen was fully equipped. Lots of storage. Small creek across driveway.
Review 34:Bathroom very small -- needed hook on back of door and one light was out. There was just a window A/C unit - froze the living room area and bedroom didn't get very cool.
Review 35:Vertical blinds on back door were missing some panels. No privacy as a result. Turning into and out of parking lot is tough due to oncoming traffic. Riverview= view of the creek. Kind of disappointing.
Review 36:Cleanliness, friendly staff; good info packet about surrounding area; bike path/walk way to Tweetsie Railroad and under the highway.
Review 37:Couch cushion is very flat & uncomfortable. Would have liked to have some type of porch awning for the rainy days.
Review 38:Good location to reach many of the area's attractions in minutes. A clean place inside & outside.
Review 39:After a long day we were ready to enjoy the hot tub as advertised. Come find out only with one specific cabin, Not ours. Appeared be all by Internet. Also cookware really bad shape and limited. Non stick pans all worn out and hard cook/clean.
Review 40:nice cabin. They were packed in top of each other though, literally about 20 feet apart.
Review 41:the pull out sofa bed was like sleeping on parallel bars... my 5 year old thought it was the best, but if you are more than 3'7" it may not go well for you.
Review 42:clean and close to tweetsie railroad with a beautiful walking path.
Review 43:Only the first two cabins are facing the river. All other cabins are sitting side ways facing the next cabin. The commode water tank takes way to long to fill up before it can be flushed again.
Review 44:The location of the cabin is within easy access of attractions in Blowing Rock and Boone. Cabin was very clean and stocked with items needed (kitchen ware, etc).
Review 45:It was right off 321 so it is not as secluded or peaceful as we were hoping. The cabins are close together and the porches either face the highway or other cabins. The location was ok as it is between blowing rock and boone but it is probably better for families with children to go to tweetsie as well as mystery hill as opposed to couples wanting to visit the town of blowing rock.
Review 46:We had plenty of room for two of us and a small kitchen. You don't share a wall with others like a hotel. Very pet friendly. Suitable place for a one night stay.
Review 47:there was kids that must live there an played all day right at our cabin so we could not get in hot tub till that went home or in for the night but we will be back kids well be kids we just love kids we have 6 lol
Review 48:the fishing an the shops was nice to have right there we didnot have to drive at all thank you .
Review 49:Wifi didn't work, pictures show hot tub however there was not one. No baking pans , responsible for taking trash to the dump no extra trash bags. Could not get the heat to work properly it was way to hot or too cold . For the price I expected more.
Review 50:I felt like I was at home . & when we were coming in it was 1am & we called & the guy helped us find the way because my gps was wrong ! definitely will stay there again !
Review 51:The bedroom TV was kind of small. In the pictures on the website it seemed like all the room had hot tubs.
Review 52:It felt like home, so comfortable. I like that the gas station and coffee shop was right near us. Also there was a TV in both the living room and the bedroom (although it was quite small haha)
Review 53:I didn't like how in the booking it appears there is a hot tub available when only one cabin actually has a hot tub. A bit misleading and unfortunately my cabin was without a hot tub.
Review 54:I liked how there was a bedroom with a bed and a pull out couch that easily got three.
Review 55:Advertised it sad they had a king size bed but when we got there it was a full... We had to go out and buy an air mattress which was a $80 dent in our pocket...
Review 56:The locations was awesome, the Cabin was awesome, the hot tub was. Huge plus!!!
Review 57:The cabins are very small so be aware of that - the bed and couch were not very comfortable. If you arrive after 5, or after dark, the cabins are hard to find. But, that's part of the privacy perk!
Review 58:Riverside Cabins is great for kids and couples - privacy in the cabins and an extraordinary coffee shop. For kids, two museums, gem mine, Mystery Hill a short walk from the cabins. Plus, the staff are friendly, ready to help and quite organized! Will return again and again!
Review 59:Very Clean, Love the Location.
Review 60:Cabins too close to each other with no view.

Review 62:Staff was excellent, Comfortable place to stay, and it was totally private.
