Reviews for Belltown Inn

Review 1:Great location. Central to main points of interest. We traveled by Link, Monorail and on foot. Friendly and accomodating staff that granted my request for a late checkout. Belltown Inn will definitely be my hotel of choice when I'm in Downtown, Seattle.

Review 2:On my first night of arrival, I walked by a lot of homeless people sleeping a block away from this Hotel. It goes from nice area (Pike Area) and then Homeless area, and then nice area again. All within blocks.

Review 3:The Location was great. It was close to everything. Lots of good restaurants around. About 10 min walk to Pikes Market, and 10 min walk to Space Needle.

Review 4:Wish they had told us or left a message at our room that someone had found my fanny pack But so thankful I had hotel key to find it.

Review 5:They told us great restaurants. Recommend us about the area and what we can do. Our room was in the courtyard it was great. They had Diet Coke and water and popcorn and coffee. The location was great.

Review 6:The bikes needed some TLC, but got the job done. I didn't read, and didn't realize there was no continental breakfast. Small things. There is a nice biscuit joint next door.

Review 7:Friendly staff, room was clean and comfortable and it was awesome to be able to check out bikes for free!! They thought of a lot of little things, like having umbrellas on hand to check out, or recommending a great lunch place across the street when I checked in early.

Review 8:The hotel desperately needs to be updated. The lobby felt like a fast food restaurant, the room was very hot, the toilet was constantly running, the blinds didn't work well, and the bathroom floor was stained.

Review 9:The location was excellent. Bell street is a great pedestrian area and the hotel is close to restaurants, shops and the waterfront.

Review 10:when i check in the hotel , the reception deducted the deposit from my debit card without inform me . after i have realized the my card balance was wrong , checked with my bank . they told me that it was from the hotel deduction . the hotel said will refund me back after 3 work days . still waiting the question is ; why they deduction the deposit from the customer without inform customer ? this is what they told me they did for all the customer normal . ???

Review 11:Convenient to everything , location was great, busline across street, walking distance to downtown core. Room was small but clean and comfortable. . enjoyed my stay, will return again.

Review 12:Great value for money and great location. Everything is within walking distance. The room was very comfortable, clean and had all the amenities one needs (microwave, iron, hair dryer, etc.). Though I didn't use this service, they said that they provide bikes for hotel guests that come with helmets and locks. The staff was very friendly, as well. I would definitely stay here again.

Review 13:Not all staff were friendly. WiFi didn't work well in my room - the signal was intermittent. Tax was not added when booking, which created a big discrepancy on the final bill.

Review 14:Location was good and convenient. It's also great to have a microwave in the room, which saves food bills.

Review 15:Elevator was a bit dirty and always smelled bad

Review 16:The staff, the staff, the staff!!!! I could say it a thousand times. They were super friendly and had the best advice on places to go and places to avois

Review 17:We really liked this Inn. The staff was very friendly, the room was well-equipped, clean and comfortable. Loved the location and exploring all the little shops and restaurants in Belltown. Not fancy, but great value for the money and great location.

Review 18:The staff were wonderful - and so helpful when I had to stay another night unexpectedly. Location is perfect within easy reach of everything in Seattle. In spite of awful rain and storms this hotel made my few days in Seattle enjoyable

Review 19:Amazing location. Spacious room with complimentary drinks in the fridge! Little kitcheneete would also have been really useful (if we stayed longer). Really friendly staff. Cheaper than using Air bnb! Recommend this place

Review 20:The stuff helped us with all your doubts, but they are not friendly at all. There was never a smile in their faces. We felt they were just "doing their jobs".

Review 21:The hotel is in a excellent location, between the Needle and the Market, near to both. Very easy to move to any place we wanted. The room was very confortable and clean.

Review 22:The walls were super thin, the location is great, but the area is a little sketchy feeling. A good place for someone looking to just sleep and shower, and not planning on spending a ton of time in the room.

Review 23:It was a pretty short walk to the downtown centre, pike market, and tons of shopping! Good for a couple just wanting to stay somewhere that is a cheaper option that they can just sleep and shower in.

Review 24:parking is not far but down a backlane nearby- a little concerning late at night, for that area of town. Had no probs in fact, but some people may be uncomfortable parking late at night.

Review 25:great value for money. Has fridge and microwave. Flexible on late departure.

Review 26:Everything's pretty cool :)

Review 27:The free bikes & umbrella. The people. The clean room. The super convenient surrounding. These are awesome! We stayed in downtown for three days and went to everywhere with super cool bicycles from the hotel. Very considerable and it was a very impressive experience :) thanks for all the services.

Review 28:The neighborhood at night gets a little bit more like any rough neighborhood in any big city but during day it's all people going to work and tourists.

Review 29:I liked the mini kitchenete and the screen door for the balcony. I also like the fan above bed. The location was great. Walking distance to great bars, restaurants, banks and markets. Staff was amazing. Free bikes to use and a courtyard as well as rooftop area!

Review 30:Great location, convenient walking distance to most places we wanted to visit, helpful staff, funky and eclectic building and decor, great rooftop patio with view of space needle

Review 31:Poor WIFI connection. No free breakfast.

Review 32:Centrally located in downtown Seattle. Very good location with good restaurants around and near to most tourist attractions. Clean and comfortable. Free usage of computer and printer.

Review 33:Noisy if you have people above you. Very small bathroom.

Review 34:Everything within walking distances, safe area, friendly staff. Roof terrace, comfortable bed.

Review 35:Pretty noisy (due to courtyard), dirty elevator at times (leaves, stains, etc), elevator behaves strangely and causes long waits, 3rd is a sketchy and dangerous street.

Review 36:Helpful staff, comfortable room, very clean most of the time, a convenient location.

Review 37:The room was a bit small, but not overly so.

Review 38:Great location within a short walk from downtown attractions - they also have loaner bikes. Excellent value for money. Lots of nearby restaurants.

Review 39:My water in the room was never hot but warm enough to enjoy my shower. A bit noisy due to outside noise but nice gentleman at desk next morning said there are less noisy rooms for next time. Parking garage was tough to find.

Review 40:The beds were so comfy! Room was very nice and clean. Staff was great! Housekeepers were so sweet. Loved the nearby restaurants. Rooms came with Starbucks, popcorn, water and sodas. It's those little touches that make it fun and inviting.

Review 41:Key card stopped working (but this was quickly fixed at the reception)

Review 42:Good location and acces to the roof top made a great opportunity to take some nice pictures

Review 43:Very friendly staff. Location in the middle of everything. Cleanliness of and cleanliness of total hotel. Fans in rooms. Quiet and safe environment.

Review 44:Staff preoccupied on computers didn't smile much or seem to enjoy some casual conversation

Review 45:Walking location rooftop deck boutique feel and price matching what is offered and lack of other things found in larger hotel (pool breakfast hotel transport)

Review 46:Located on a VERY noisy street (trucks, people shouting during early morning hours). A lot of homeless people around. Still suffering (3 days later) from backache caused by lopsided mattress.

Review 47:Location, cleanliness

Review 48:Definitely here the police and ambulance racing up and down 3rd Ave all night..try for a courtyard room away from the street. I would have given a higher rating if.not.for that...But it is the city. .

Review 49:We loved the location. .It's right in the heart of the city. .could not be any better. .spent a lot of time at the Seattle Center and Pikes Place Market which is a short walk away..

Review 50:The staff didn't seem to be enthusiastic about their job. I didn't feel welcomed as a guest. There was no parking on site and we had to get up at 7am for two mornings to validate the tickets.

Review 51:The location was excellent, and the room was very clean.

Review 52:My room was at the second floor facing 3rd avenue and was very noisy, felt like sleeping at the bus stop.

Review 53:Good and clean room, coffee and soft drinks for free.

Review 54:There's no private parking, but city parking lots very close near by.

Review 55:Great location, walking distance to everything & very fairly priced. Cute & clean. With free popcorn and soda.

Review 56:The view was underwhelming from the rooftop patio and the parking was a tad sketchy but not enough to damper the trip.

Review 57:Staff was knowledgeable about the area and Seattle and very kind. Walking distance from everything it was wonderful!

Review 58:We spend erly morning out of hotel room and back every day after 3pm. The lady come to clean the room every day at 4.30h :( when we are already back in the room.

Review 59:My room was very noisy as it was above a bus stop and there seemed to be very little noise reduction insulation. One staff member on my arrival was less than helpful or pleasant.

Review 60:The location was very good.

Review 61:The airport shuttle was at a cost, even though the write up sounded as though it was included. The cupboards and drawers were empty, so there was really no kitchenette as advertised. The bed was only of marginal co Fort.

Review 62:The location has potential.

Review 63:No bad experience but no air con which could be an issue mid summer??

Review 64:Friendly staff-very helpful. Good internet available . Bicycles available. Room clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Review 65:There was a stale and damp smell in our room. And the temperature was too warm and unable to decrease or control

Review 66:Location and staff was very friendly and helpful

Review 67:It had a coffe machine and a fridge and microwave which gave me the flexibility I wanted regarding eating in or out. I liked that I could use a bike if I wanted. Free PC access meant I could print my travel docs.

Review 68:Parking is a bit of an unknown - not too bad in the end but you have to learn about the meters and timing your returns to the vehicle to reload. The carpet in the elevators and hall are pretty stained and tired.

Review 69:location was great, a fun part of town. Had to leave a day early and the staff made that easy with no hassles which was appreciated. Room was comfortable.

Review 70:The hotel is in OK condition - our room had a leaky tub, the lights in the bathroom are dim, and elevator had an awful smell. But otherwise, the room was comfortable for a night's rest. But pricey considering the amenities.

Review 71:I loved the location and vicinity to Pike Place, shopping, Belltown restaurants and Seattle Center. The staff was so friendly and helpful at all times as well.

Review 72:rooms are small; house keepers get noisy early, shouting at each other down the hall ways, it's necessary to communicate but don't need to yell down hall at one an other; slowest elevator I've ever used, its faster to use the stairs; wi-fi is painfully slow, they advertise free wifi but might as well be using pigeons to communicate its so slow

Review 73:location of hotel and friendly staff

Review 74:Although the location was convenient for walking almost everywhere, the area was noisy - often even after midnight.

Review 75:the hotel provided complimentary sodas, water popcorn and shopping bags. Very nice touches.

Review 76:Not much at all. It was an excellent experience. The only thing missing was a continental breakfast. But there are some great eateries up the street and around the corner.

Review 77:Excellent front desk staff. They explained how to take advantage of street parking, to save money. They recommended great places to eat. Lovely view of a dog park out the window.

Review 78:Our Wifi was a little intermittent in the room. We were at the very end of a corridor so maybe far from the modem? Wifi awesome in the lobby

Review 79:Great location, not far from major attractions

Review 80:Lack of air conditioning: if we opened window then we got a lot of street & alley noise.

Review 81:Great location: walking distance to both Pike Place Market and Space Needle. They had free bicycles for guests to use.

Review 82:It's next to a bus stop and dog park where some loud-mouthed types sometimes hang out. But that's also just Seattle for you...

Review 83:The young guy at the front counter was very nice and recommended an amazing breakfast place. Just your average, basic hotel for a decent price. I would stay again!

Review 84:Heat seemed uncontrollable in our room, staff made immediate switch of rooms for us.

Review 85:Great location, very helpful staff. Pleasant extras including rooftop viewing/seating area.

Review 86:It was annoying to pay extra for the parking lot, and you really need to put curtains or better blinds to keep the noise and light out of the room.

Review 87:It was Well located

Review 88:A bit too much street noise. There is a bar across the street and it was Halloween, so a fair amount of noise until the early morning. The only bad thing about a great stay.

Review 89:Great location. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Lots of good suggestions for, and directions to, restaurants and local attractions.

Review 90:Kind of noisy. First night some kind of party in the courtyard or rooftop terrace, couldn't tell which. Second night there was someone making a lot of noise right above us - late into the night and then early the next morning. Also, housekeeping forgot to refill the regular coffee. Had to go down to the desk first thing in the morning.

Review 91:Good location. Bikes seem like a cool idea but it rained pretty hard the day we were there.

Review 92:The noise at this location was unbelievable. Street people yelling at 2 & 3 in the morning, garbage and recycling pick up at 5:00 am. Terrible absolutely terrible. If you stay here travel with ear plugs.

Review 93:It was within walking distance to shopping and attractions.

Review 94:The choice between a street-facing and a courtyard-facing room, complementary drinks and popcorn, the rooftop terrace. Conveniently located a few blocks from the Westlake center for easy transit access.

Review 95:Their slogan "walk to everything" is spot-on. A ten-minute walk between the light rail Westlake terminal, half hour to First Hill hospitals and such. And if it's raining hard, the 3rd Ave bus lines are right out the front door.

Review 96:It is very noisy making it impossible to have the windows open.Given that there is no a/c this might present a real problem on a hot summer's night

Review 97:The location was fabulous, the staff very friendly and helpful

Review 98:Overall, my stay was complete with the friendly staff at the Bell Tower Inn. However, there is room for improvement in the area of reasonable Accomodations. The staff demonstrates interest in providing quality services to all their guests.

Review 99:The location, conveniences of the kitchenette and affordability are good. To Overall, my stay was complete. However, there is room for improvement in ADA etiquette. The fact Staff demonstrated interest in learning how to provide quality service to all their guests.?)The Bell Tower Inn suffices.

Review 100:Noisy. Poor curtains. Overall poor sleep quality. Grim carpet. Slightly dodgy street with lots of drunks & crazies around.

Review 101:Didn't cost a fortune. Good internet. Comfy bed. Fridge in room. Bright room. Decent AC & fan options.

Review 102:Nothing really.

Review 103:I stay in hotels for a living. A lot of the hotels I stay in are 5* and expensive. This place is not five star but it is clean, has an amazing location, staff are super friendly, has a kitchenette in the rooms and very safe most importantly the value for money is out of this world. Also they have a laundry area which is modern enough that you can pay with your credit card. Very cool. And bike rental!

Review 104:My internet connection could use improvement.

Review 105:The best location, with infinite choice of restaurants & bars. I stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed very much.

Review 106:Our room faced the park across the pedestrian walkway and it was quite noisy late into the night. Ask for a room not facing the park if you are concerned about the noise.

Review 107:Loved the location and the free use of the bikes. Seems very reasonably priced for a nice hotel in good location.

Review 108:Lots of street noise, the fire station was a block away. Room kinda smelled musty.

Review 109:The location was good, close proximity to everything downtown. Staff was helpful. Onsite laundry was good for a long trip.

Review 110:Staff were good. Lobby was good. Room was comfortable, with sensible, practical desk (for business travellers) and usable kitchenette. It all just works.

Review 111:Parking is a hassel. Paid parking down the street, however evening parking rates don't start until exactly 5:00 PM and then you have to get up at 7AM ! to feed the parking key in system for the morning.

Review 112:The location of the Belltown Inn is perfect & the PRICE is Right for being downtown. The Inn is very clean! & Friendly. Rooftop patio is a nice touch.

Review 113:Room was a bit too light in the morning just shades no black out curtains

Review 114:Great location. Super helpful staff! Loaner bikes to get around town. Room clean and comfortable.

Review 115:Lots of street noise with window open - but that's to be expected when you stay downtown.

Review 116:The location was great. Lots of restaurants nearby. Parking was easy. Staff very helpful.

Review 117:The road work out of the hotel was a little bit noise

Review 118:The location of the hotel is perfect it's easy to go anywhere .The room is not big but clean and comfortable especially for the bed .I will be back if I have a chance to visit Seattle .

Review 119:The noise from the city was awful even with the windows shut and a fan on. They need to improve their sound proofing for a more enjoyable nights stay. Thankfully we weren't there for business or sleep would have been lacking for sure!

Review 120:The staff was great and the price was decent. It was in a great location to be able to walk a variety of places.

Review 121:The noise of the poor homeless people that could be heard all night. The hotel has no control over this so please request a room away from the streets. Was lovely watching the dogs in the dog park in Bell Street but again the hotel has no control over how loud a dog barks when they are happily playing.

Review 122:The room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. More than enough for two adults with lots of luggage with them. The bed was the most comfortable on our month long trip. We had a room facing Bell Street which has the dog park on it. If you want a quiet night you may wish to request a room at the back facing into the lovely courtyard. The location was nice and close to walk to the waterfront and also just close to the hotel we found some really great restaurants. Well worth staying here in the right quiet room.

Review 123:While the wi-fi was free, it ground to a halt numerous times and I would have preferred a better service even if it cost extra; one slow elevator. The location in Belltown is a little down-market but convenient for retail and bars.

Review 124:The hotel has a nice old-world feel. A comfortable room with bar fridge and a great desk for working. On the ground floor was a convenient laundry for guest use and the staff were very helpful. Overall a nice hotel.

Review 125:My room 507 had a view of a wall of an apartment building. I was kept up at night by dogs barking and random people on the street screaming just outside my window. I would stay here again but never on the same side as 507.

Review 126:I liked the cleanliness and location.

Review 127:Unbeatable value for cost. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Extras such as bikes and rooftop patio were bonuses. Good overall location.

Review 128:Some damage of the furniture gave a bad impression which could easely be solved with regular control of the rooms by a regular maintenance service.

Review 129:Considering hotel prices of San Francisco y was happy to have found this hotel. In spite of a rather negativ first impression, its cleanliness and its location convinced me it was a good choice.

Review 130:With a single-pane sliding door, the rooms facing 3rd Avenue carry some traffic and pedestrian noise, but overall it was reasonable.

Review 131:One of the more economical choices close to downtown; just a few blocks to walk, and with good bus service south through downtown, and north to the Seattle Center. Clean, comfortable, friendly, good value.

Review 132:The rough residents of the neighborhood were a little unsettling, but the feeling of it being an actual neighborhood was also part of its charm.

Review 133:I loved being able to walk everywhere downtown. We were on the ground floor and entered through a sweet little courtyard. I liked the rooftop terrace.

Review 134:Third Avenue can be a bit desolate and intimidating after dark.

Review 135:Fine location for avid sightseer!! One may take hearty walks to all attractions! The rooms are really tidy and well-equipped.
