Reviews for Hyatt Regency O'Hare

Review 1:We checked out of the hotel after the first night of a two night reservation. The first thing I noticed was when I went into the bathroom of our room, there was a black curly hair on the towel in the shower. That is disgusting. Never mind that I had included in our special instructions when I booked the room that we would like to have a room that was exceptionally clean, due to the bride's organization/cleanliness issues. There was also pet hair on the bed, like someone had it on their bag and had put the bag on the bed. Also, the floor under the work table looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in an extended period of time. You could literally see pools of dirt on the floor where people had had dirty shoes. Then, when we went down to breakfast the next morning, they were doing construction in the lobby. To me, it would have made more sense for them to wait to start the demo until after the breakfast period had ended. It was very loud and my husband and I had to wait to sneak in bits of conversation in between jackhammer usage. We waited almost 10 minutes to be seated, despite the fact that there was no one else in line. Additionally, once we were seated our table was dirty. The plate where the cream and jams were had dried coffee on it. One of the jams had been opened and used, but was still sitting on the table to be used by the next guest. The cream had also gone bad, so I have no idea how long it was sitting out there for. When I poured it into my coffee, it curdled and there was a heavy film in the creamer. When our food came, my french toast was already cold. Our waiters were inattentive, even though there were multiple people taking shifts at our table. We felt like us coming down to breakfast was a huge inconvenience for the staff.

Review 2:We ordered room service and the gentleman who delivered it was very nice. He even notified us that the tip was already included and that we did not need to include an additional tip. Also, the girl who checked us in was very polite. She waved the parking fee for us since we were celebrating our "Mini-Honeymoon." She also bumped us up to the Executive Wing, which was really nice of her.

Review 3:Way too expensive for what you get. No microwave. Had to request a refrigerator then we got an extremely old one. Had to pay $30.00 just to park at the hotel we are staying at. It's ridiculous.

Review 4:Clean

Review 5:There was a big convention with standing room only in the multi-level lobbies. There were children and teens running in the corridors till the wee hours. Security was swarming and several fights broke out. We did not feel safe and had it not been for an early morning flight, we would have left. In the morning we left around 4am and there was no security and still groups of teens roaming the lobby. It was not secure and I am very disappointed in Hyatt Regency for the price we paid for two rooms.

Review 6:Good location

Review 7:i would have liked to get the room a bit cooler, ac only went down to 65

Review 8:loved how the rooms were very quiet, never heard a plane overhead, or even the shower in the morning when my husband woke earlier nor people walking and talking down the hallway and my bed was very comfortable

Review 9:Checked in late at 9.35pm was told at reception that the main restaurant was open until 10.00pm for orders. Arrived at the restaurant at 9.50 and was refused entry and told we had to eat in the bar.

Review 10:Conveniently placed for airport with good shuttle service.

Review 11:Having to pay separately for parking

Review 12:Very good service from the reception staff, could already check in early and good assistance of finding my way around Chicago

Review 13:This time we stayed at the back block, price is cheaper than the front block we stayed last time, however is noisier as its closed to the airport. However overall is very good

Review 14:Everything was great, just didn't like the $25 a day parking.

Review 15:Great view if you get a high room. Very clean and comfortable bed. Free WiFi us a plus.

Review 16:When I first arrived the front desk was backed up 20 guests or so deep.

Review 17:The Exc Wing is lovely. The service is fantastic. The front desk helped me get a room when they were sold out.

Review 18:front desk staff at the day of check in, not friendly at all ,and not help full , they could not find my reservation i made through booking .com, and stated that not all booking .com are correct , i was upset, and called the manager she fined the fax left in the faxing machine , they did apologize , and went ok. the day of check out was not friendly either, different person . the waiters and servers through out the hotel were very nice and help full

Review 19:location , restaurant , cleanness

Review 20:Visually very appealing with it's open and spacious atrium. A large room with some (not a lot) airport noise...which is to expected from a hotel that is close to O'Hare. Comfortable bed and nice amenities. My room was nicely decorated and everything seemed new. The meeting rooms were nicely located and the breakfast, lunches and dinners that were provided were more than adequate. The one lunch I paid for was in the o'h restaurant and was terrific...a tuna melt with the most amazing basket of French fries. A super plus for me was the extremely helpful and always smiling staff...everyone one of them, especially Jory at the front desk.

Review 21:The hard bed, small room, poor communication in explaining how the breakfast was provided. Plates and food left outside rooms for over 14hours.

Review 22:Location to airport.

Review 23:The wait staff was very good in the restaurants there. The food above average. Sabina at the front dest there was exceptional In the care and help she gave me when I asked for a room change and later when I had any questions. above and beyond!!

Review 24:I got what I expected, but others staying at competitor had free breakfast buffet, free wifi also and clean rooms.

Review 25:Room was comfortable, shower had good water , quiet and peaceful.

Review 26:Nothing to dislike in th short time I was there

Review 27:When your flight plans have crashed and burned and you need somewhere at short notice, you just want a hotel that does everything efficiently and doesn't add to your woes. that summarises this hotel - quiet efficiency, nothing a problem.

Review 28:The long stretch of rooms. Lots of corners before you can assess your room. No porter service.

Review 29:Free shuttle to and fro the airport. Hotel facility awesome. Staff prompt, friendly and helpful. Good technology in assessing services. Generally stay was fabulous.

Review 30:To big Hotel, elevator service - missing elevators there is no match between the size of the hotel and the number of guests to the number of elevators

Review 31:good service, good location, shuttle service to the airport .

Review 32:Staff wasn't helpful. Missing robes that were to be in room. Bathroom was very small. Dust build-up on nightstand and phone. No direction to check in from self park lot.

Review 33:Quite, 24 hour convince store, walking distance to outlet mall, Rosemont Heather, and restaurants.

Review 34:No view except the roof Don't use the drinks in the refrigerator one diet cost me over $4 dollars. Have to wait in line to check in/out this took a while. Room was stuffy and way in the back of the corridor

Review 35:Comfort of the room

Review 36:Eager to assist you with a comfortable stay! Very helpful! Priced competitively with other comparable locations nearby.

Review 37:On top of the room nightly room fee there is an additional $30 a night parking fee which to me is just ridiculous!!

Review 63:Very good hotel, huge in size but very nice place to stay with great transport links in to Chicago.

Review 64:Lack of any information on transfer from airport to hotel; after 40 minutes waiting I took a taxi (20 $ for 5 minutes drive ...).

Review 65:Localisation

Review 66:Quite Noisy

Review 67:Location Room Comfortable

Review 68:The noise in the halls. And other guests knocking on our door as they went by all night.

Review 69:Everything

Review 70:The gym is great and airport shuttle is extremely convenient.

Review 71:Rooms very small, restaurant more expensive than, most.

Review 72:Shuttle is good

Review 73:Pool beds

Review 74:The staff was very helpful and accommodating in all aspects of our stay. We never had to worry about a thing because they took care of it all!

Review 75:breakfast was included for $15 but at breakfast price increased. Not what I expected.

Review 76:close to the airport, casino and shopping.

Review 82:Wonderful place. I'm hooked.

Review 83:The Hyatt was very comfortable. It was also very close to everything and the walk ways that connect to everything where great.

Review 84:Shuttles to and from airport were easy to get and frequently ran, easy on and off.

Review 85:Very good service mind

Review 86:The pleasant demeamor and helpfulness of the staff.

Review 87:The breakfast needs improvement. You need to add a salad.

Review 88:I like the location. The hotel is centrally located to many venues.

Review 89:friendliness of staff comfortable beds

Review 90:No complimentary water in the room !

Review 91:Service

Review 92:all personnel were very friendly and helpful, the facility was kept clean, and bright, food services were prompt and very good and I shall return

Review 93:Spirit Airlines.

Review 94:willingness to help when the booking was delayed from booking .com. The staff did it manually.

Review 95:Although my reservation was not in the list of hotel, they reacted ASAP and solve the problem.

Review 96:It has everything you need during a trip, even for your emergency oh-my-god-i-forgot-this-and-that! Service is Great and it's very close to O'Hare.

Review 97:That they didnt have us in their computer , but that was Booking .coms fault! And it took a call to u guys to clarify the reservation! It took us a 1/2 hour at the front desk to get everything straight! I checked my reservations for next week in Milwaukee to make sure Booking.com didn't screw up for the 2nd week in a row and not notify the hotel we r staying at, like they did with the Hyatt!

Review 98:Everything was fine at the Hyatt ! Except Booking .com dropped the ball! See below!

Review 99:It wasn't their fault but booking.com did not get our reservation to them so when we arrived we did not have a room. Since I have been there 100's of times for business they were kind enough to work with us but it was embarrassing and frustrating after a long travel day.

Review 100:We love the Hyatt and the people are always on top of our needs.

Review 101:noisy from planes. if I wanted that I would have stayed home. staff not helpful. needed to print out boarding passes and their kiosk was broken and the girl at reception with the German accent was not polite or accommodating and it took us one hour to go to kiosk wait and then go back to a different person at reception. Big bummer!

Review 102:room large enough.

Review 103:It is not handicapped accessible. The side of the tub is to high. You can't get in the elevator or out of the room in a scooter cart without help. Two days put of five the electric door to the convention center failed. The whole Idea of handicapped accessable is to be able to do it alone. You do not meet that description. I would try other hotels in the area before thinking of returning.

Review 104:Connection to convention center

Review 105:The hotel was filthy. The bedsheets were not clean, the chair had unspeakable stains on it and the bathroom sink was filled with hair. When I complained, they moved me to another room that was only moderately clean, with the attendant hair in the sink and additional toilet stains. I switched to the Intercontinental down the street for cheaper price, and the room was immaculate, staff was great, and the facilities were beautiful. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Review 106:The only thing I liked about this hotel was the event I attended. There were some decent lounges in the main area as well.

Review 107:reserved a king size bed and smoking. never got it. had to settle for double beds and go out in the cold to smoke. it was valentine's day and had a small bed. was not happy at all. will never stay there again. manager did not work out issues.

Review 108:the location

Review 109:We have booked a king size bed room including breakfast. But we're told that there are only standard room left and if we need king size room, we have to choose the much smaller room. The room is exetremely small and can barely turn around in the room. Finally we settled with standard room but running upstairs and lobby to get room changed. When we checked out, the billed us wrongly again by double charge my breakfast. I have doubled checked with the front when checking out, they insisted that from their system, my booking rate did not include breakfast till I presented my booking record. On top of that, the hotel is quite crowded , probably due to the conferences held there. Breakfast is soap but really don't think it 's worth $45.

Review 110:The location of the hotel is easy to find and the parking is easy by considering of 35 dollars per day. Room is clean and the size is ok.

Review 111:room would have been small if more than one person. Could hear some voices coming in around giant window area at corner of room, not too loud but noticeable.

Review 112:not much to dislike, interior architecture was incredible. Bar was also amazing as was entire lobby area with open views up to the 10th floor. Room was clean and stylish with entire exterior wall being glass and bathroom all marble finishes

Review 113:Dead battery tv remote. Hair dryer faulty. Tried to charge me for reservation no show which I cancelled through booking.com. Closed restaurant on a Wednesday night without notice, forcing other arrangements to eat.

Review 114:Close to O'hare airport.

Review 115:There was nothing not to like about fabulous hotel.

Review 116:The hotel quickly arranged a shuttle to pick us up after a long flight. The reception staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming. Our room was luxurious with everything you could wish for a good nights sleep.

Review 117:Terrible breakfast and very expensive. 30min away from downtown. Keep charging minibar items not consumed. Bedroom carpet was full of peanuts when we received the room.

Review 118:From my room in the Executive Wing, I could hear the jets taking off at night time. There was a noise maker in the room that I listened to rain noise all night to get some sleep. So that was a positive.

Review 119:I liked the free shuttle service to the airport that started at 4:00am and ran every 15 minutes. This was great for us early travelers. The staff was so super nice. Thanks for being so friendly.

Review 120:Staff needed a credit card for "incidetals" but ended upputting a hold on my available funds for the entire cost of the room, which was already pre-paid for by my company.

Review 121:Proximity to the airport

Review 122:The hotel is a bit expensive, but then again you get what you pay for. The city center is quite far away but the train is convenient and the train station is close to the hotel.

Review 123:The breakfast with the omelet bar is simply great. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had in any hotel anywhere in the world. All the staff at the reception are extremely friendly and helpful. Also the complimentary shuttle bus departing every 15 minutes between the hotel and the airport is a great plus!
