Reviews for Crown Inn

Review 1:The phone should have been in quaratine. It was filthy. The door was the same. I used a towel to touch it in and out. Because I didnt say refresh my room, they never spread it up, had to ask for towels and had to ask for TV remote. It wasnt in the room!! No coffee maker in room!

Review 2:They made a pot of coffee upon request. They were so nice, but theirvplace is dirty!

Review 3:Very basic older motel, short drive to downtown Seattle, where we were attending a there day event. Great value at a fraction of cost for a downtown location. Just wanted a place to sleep. Friendly staff. Have used this facility a dozen times over last 10 years.

Review 4:Nothing.

Review 5:It was clean, safe, comfortable, and reasonably priced. The unit had a fridge, stove, and microwave, which I did not really need this time, but it's good to keep in mind for longer term stays. The E-Rapid Ride Metro bus serves this area for a quick ride downtown for those wanting to avoid city center parking fees and much higher hotel rates.

Review 6:need to check rooms a second time. There was garbage left in microwave, hair clippings behind water faucet, and carpets need to be replaced.

Review 7:Stayed there a couple of times was comfortable.

Review 8:Staff was very rude at check out time. Expected us to be out by 10:30 when check out is 11. Pounded on our door and harrassed us keeping us to take longer to get our stuff together. Tried to shove into our door and threatened to call the cops. We were out by 11:15 which i think is pretty reasonable.

Review 9:Room was great. Spacious and clean. Full kitchen was rad.

Review 10:The place and room smelled really bad. The mattress was very uncomfortable. We were very close to checking out and going somewhere else or even sleeping in our car

Review 11:There were lots of towels like they don't restock them everyday but it's understandable if someone stays longer !

Review 12:Fridge was dirty and a child was cleaning one of the rooms the next morning!

Review 13:Very spacious rooms. Generally pretty clean but little things like the floor was not vacuumed, sink faucets a little dirty, that sort of thing. Would recommend this place! For the amount paid it is well worth it.

Review 14:we couldn't find so much about this wonderful music...but to get it ones need probably more stay in the town !!!

Review 15:seattle is very beautiful place, a stop on the way to san juan islands or the mount rainier

Review 16:No elevator for elderly people or reserved rooms for disabled on first floor so violates ADA federal law.

Review 17:Room was bigger than expected. Felt bad the elderly night clerk helped carry 4 suitcases up the stairs.

Review 18:The owner spoke no English and didn't even know how to register my booking it's difficult to get ice anything as it's all broken

Review 19:It was nothing good about this hotel as there was no coffee making facilitiesThe owner spoke no English and didn't even know how to register my booking it's difficult to get ice anything as it's all broken

Review 20:Dirty carpets, dusty light over the table, sticky floor in bathroom Handle came off of the faucet in the sink. No coffee in the office in the morning-no coffeemaker in the room. TV picture was letter boxed and the remote couldn't adjust it. Streetwalkers outside day and night.

Review 21:The rate Plenty of towels

Review 22:The kitchen was completely empty. No coffee maker, no kettle, not one item, so the web site should indicate you have to bring anything you need with you.

Review 23:Despite being on a busy road, it was quiet enough once the door closed, comfortable bed, good cable and good TV set. Full kitchenette. Most important, although it is older, it was clean!

Review 24:Everything about this place. It was filthy, our non-smoking room wasrank with cigarette smoke, and we both woke up throughout the night withthe feeling of bugs crawling all over us. We will never stay here again.

Review 25:Not much to like about this motel. Unfriendly staff, rundown buildings, dirty room (we're talking blood and other bodily fluids on all ofthe walls), and to top it off, it's in a very unsafe section ofSeattle. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $20-50 and findyourself a hotel where you'll feel safe at night.

Review 26:The whole place needs a good coat of paint. The appearance is very off-putting, making it look far worse than it is.

Review 27:This place was adequate for our needs. Clean enough and cheap.Pleasant staff.

Review 28:Not worth the amount I was charged, the room was dirty, the head on the sink was broken off and wouldn't work so the sink was dripping all night. The grounds are filthy, as if they haven't bothered spraying the walkways in years. The neighborhood is not a good one, my husband was approached by a few different prostitues in the parking lot. The blankets and several towels in the room had burn holes in them. And the floor/walls looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. It needs some work..

Review 29:We had an emergency and had to find a room last minute and found vacancies were hard to come by in Seattle. I finally found a room here and promptly made reservations for a double for 2 nights. Upon checking in we were only charged one night. The manager quickly corrected the error and handed over the key. As we entered the room we found only one bed and the smell was awful. We head back down to the office and showed the manager the reservation confirmation for 2 beds. He was very apologetic and again, quickly made the correction. This room had no bad odors and although it was in need of some updating and the carpets were dirty, the beds, linen and bathroom were clean and the mini fridge was on and already cold. Guests were quiet and I slept very well. It is in a bad part of town and I wouldn't recommend going out at night in this neighborhood alone. I would stay here again if there's no vacancies with the more modern hotels.

Review 30:The faucet handle screw was stripped but it was still usable.

Review 31:We were lucky to have a room with minimal traffic noise. The room was clean and odorless. It was nice to have a hairdryer.

Review 32:The motel looked filthy - the outside walls and pathway have been given little care. Clean linens, and comfortable bed - but the toilet and tub hadn't been cleaned between the last checkout and our stay. The walls inside needed to be washed. Mildew smell.

Review 33:The location was easy to find, being on a main route. 15-20 minutes straight downtown. Free wifi - (slow but available) Affordable

Review 34:The WIFI is not a very good.

Review 35:We were a little skeptic at first. We were totally unfamiliar with this area. We had two vehicles that together we we had just about everything we own in it. But after checking in we realized that the rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable and no one messed with iur things. I would certainly reccomed this room to anyone!!!!!!!!

Review 36:Sketchy neighborhood with suspicious people hanging around. People drink and talk very loud on the porch late into night.

Review 37:Not as bad as some reviews we read. We didn't find any bed bugs or used condoms.

Review 38:Room was small and crowded with large round table. The TV never worked. Had to carry luggage up stairs.

Review 39:Very friendly operator. Wifi worked. lots of towels and necessities. Nice large bathroom. good AC

Review 40:TV didn't work. Chairs in room were broken. Large holes in bedspread comforter. Booked a 'deluxe' queen with kitchenette but was only given standard room. Poor location, not worth the $90/night rate.

Review 41:Filthy dirty facilities, no way to get money back since we had areservation to go somewhere better, very poor facilities. Very obviousowner(s) keeping all money for profit figuring that they get a lot ofsuckers like us they can rip off.

Review 42:The area is a bit shady. Wifi works but is slow to slightly fast.

Review 43:We chose Crown Inn after seeing how expensive hotels in Seattle are. We could also avoid paying 35/day for parking as some hotels charge. The propert managers were polite. The room was clean, non-smoking. It is not luxurious but it served the purpose: comfortable sleep and hotel and we spent most of our time out exploring Seattle. A few times, taking city streets was a smooth commute to downtown instead of taking the highway. Not too far from downtown Seattle. Room had a microwave and refrigerator.

Review 44:My only complaint was that for some reason the rug was wet. My thought is that they may have just defrosted the frig and it leaked onto the floor. It was simple, not fancy. But very adequate and appropriate for the price.

Review 45:The room was clean and comfortable. Other guests were friendly, mostly families. The room had a full kitchen, so could have been used for a long term stay, if you brought utensils, etc. None of that was provided. (A half frig not a full sized one.)

Review 46:It was dirty....well , actually filthy , I was concerned about bed bugs. No smoke detector- it had been removed from the ceiling and not replaced, no screen on bath window, long black hairs in the shower. They still use keys ...security issue.

Review 47:Location

Review 48:Wifi did not connect to all client units (DHCP issues) furniture and installation partly worn Expensive (like all in Seattle), compared to other locations

Review 49:Close to RapidRide E line

Review 50:Toilet was still dirty; outside of toilet was not cleaned off. Front door did not fit tight when closed. Could see daylight through the door and jam.

Review 51:Maybe could offer some breakfast, but for now there are a few nearby to go to.

Review 52:The motel was clean and the room reasonably quiet..It had just been redecorated and it appeared the owners were new ones and they were trying to improve the conditions,so overhaul it was quite nice

Review 53:WiFi did not work AT ALL which was a big pull for my staying here. Strange odor when you first walk into room. Furniture was worn out and filthy. Questionable stains on carpet. Bathroom door missing big chunk of wood which prevented it from locking. Hairs found in bedding when we turned down bedspread.

Review 54:Property located along main street with frequent bus line connection. Located close to Seattle Center.

Review 55:The mattress was old and worn. Really need new ones. Other than thatwatch for the yellow curb entering the lot it's a blind spot thatmany have ended up on!!! Beware

Review 56:It was a bargain and had a lot to offer in the deluxe room

Review 57:Awful part of town. Wi-fi is so bad it might as well not be there. All of the furniture had holes in it, and there were stains all over the floor and walls. Way more expensive than it's worth, but I guess that's Seattle.

Review 58:Surprisingly nice kitchen, very nice shower.

Review 59:Motel was dirty. Light bulbs were full of dust. Sink knob was broken. Carpet was nasty. Garbage under the beds. It was a bad area of town.

Review 60:We liked being downtown. Enjoyed Pike Street Market and Seattle central.

Review 61:We got caught late in Seattle area without a a reservation for thenight and took a chance. We were on the road for 36 days and this placewas the worst! Dirty, scary, smokey, old awful beds with stainedsheets. Beware.

Review 62:The area was kind of sketchy, and the place was overall dirty and not well maintained.

Review 63:The room was cozy. We did not spend a lot of time at our hotel though, but it does is purpose

Review 64:Not really a bad experience, but the rooms really needed an updating and thorough cleaning. The mini-kitchen does not include any utensils or dishes, etc., which is understandable since it would be one more thing to clean or keep up. It is nice to be forewarned though. Overall, it is a place to sleep overnight and it is fine for that.

Review 65:inexpensive; bed was fine - seemed fairly new; bath fixtures clean

Review 66:The room had a very strong odor. Difficult to describe but our clothes and luggage smelled after only being in there a few hours. We had to do laundry the next day to get the odor out. Would not stay here again.

Review 67:You could not select hot or cold water from bathroom faucet because the knob would spin loose. None of the room's electrical outlets worked. To turn the reading light on/off I had to put the bulb in or take it out.

Review 68:Relative proximity to Gas Works Park. The room was clean (I think). TV, wifi, refrigerator and microwave provided.

Review 69:Place is run down and seedy. The wifi doesn't work, and the owner/manager says "it's a service that we offer, it's not included in the price of your stay." Towels and walls are both very thin. Would not stay here again. Even though it's cheap, it's still very poor value.

Review 70:The motel is on a very grubby part of highway 99. Sketchy characters all over. Noise from highway, very noisy walk signal right beside the room....ask for a room on the west side of the building. I think that would have been quieter.

Review 71:Nice people running the place. They are doing their best with very old facilities. Very convenient location for North Seattle and close to lots of restaurants a few blocks away on Greenwood St.

Review 72:What was the use of a kitchenette if nothing to use in it. The cupboards, drawers and oven were dirty. The towels were changed and rubbish put out but the bed was left unmade. The doorjamb of the room was split where, we can only assume, it had previously been jemmied open and as a result it didn't lock properly.

Review 73:Nothing

Review 74:The room and bathroom were not super clean. Ice machine didn't work. The crown deli and market attached was closed.

Review 75:It's close to downtown. Cable TV good.

Review 76:When we came In at about midnight had a rat In the parking lot. Had to play with the knobs on the air conditioner to make it work and the neighborhood wasn't all that great. The night we stayed there the store across the street got broken into, not really the hotels problem, but! After the cop show the rest of the night went great.

Review 77:Room's were clean. A/c was working. Staff was great.

Review 78:bad timing for us when the internet was down for 12 days out of the 14 days we stayed. but we got a few discount because there was no internet. and some bed bugs.

Review 79:the owners (the couple) were very nice and accomodating. the place is like in the center of everything. the room is great.

Review 80:I wasn't looking for a classy place just somewhere to sleep close to where I was attending a class. That probably influenced my perception but I had the best hotel/motel experience in a long time and I generally stay at moderately pricy places. It's located in the hood which had advantages that I didn't expect. Instead of eating at a restaurant where I always eat too much and pay too much I got dinner from the market/liquor store across the street. I ate a microwavable healthy choice dinner and had popcorn to take to the room and snack on for a grand total of like $3! I always use earplugs but forgot them. It's the hood so I didn't expect to sleep great but the room and bed was clean and comfy and surprising quiet. The sweet, older gentleman with a thick Asian accent who checked me in and out couldn't have been sweeter. This place was ghetto but perfect in all the ways that are important!:)

Review 81:The room stinked so bad and the manager seemed upset when I told him I wanted another room that was a non smoking room and I had reserved an non smoking room and they gave me a smoking room

Review 82:Nothing really

Review 83:No soap, shampoos, etc. No real wifi. Room was not as clean as it could be.

Review 84:Location was ideal for the E Line and beds were comfortable. There were plenty of restaurants in the area as well as a movie theatre. Owner was nice.

Review 85:Handles came off sink. Insecure Wi-Fi was so slow out was useless.

Review 86:Room was a decent size. Owners returned items we accidentally left there. Friendly staff.

Review 87:Wi-fi wasn't working, and for tourists with smartphones might be quite handy to have an internet connection. Walls were dirty and the washroom didn't look sanitized to me.

Review 88:close to the bus to downtown

Review 89:We needed a cheap place that was in Seattle.. This place was a good choice..we were on a budget and this place worked for us. Only issue was the room had two small spider webs in the corner... But shower and bed were clean!

Review 90:Was bitten by bugs, comforter had holes in it, the tv volume did not work at all, staff was rude, and this hotel is located in a shady part of town.

Review 91:The lights at least worked

Review 92:Shady part of town. Owners don't really speak English so can't help out with much. The kitchen needs a good scrubbing.

Review 93:The bed was very comfortable. It has a little kitchen. It's convenient.

Review 94:The ventilation at the toilet was rather loud at times. The location wasn't too far or near from anything, a decent bus ride away

Review 95:Old friendly couple at front desk that ran (yes ran) to catch up with us just to make sure that we had enough clean towels. (AWWWW) The room was really nicely furnished and clean! It was so reasonably priced at around $35 per night per person and it was much more than I expected.

Review 96:It is a older couple who run the motel. They have kitcheneytes but nothing to use in them. The rooms for the most part are clean. They make sure you have clean towels and things. But the clealeness could be better. I did relize it was an elderly women who does the cleaning. She sweeeps and doesn't use a vacum. But a very quite place.

Review 97:The WiFi would not even show up on any of his devices also he was disappointed that there was no coffee pot .

Review 98:My husband stayed here with our son ,he said the room was by the road to his surprise he couldn't hear traffic at all. The location was easy to get to as well . We have plans to stay here for our anniversary in September when I asked him if he would stay there again he said yes. He also said the bed was comfortable .Subway is close by also there is an attached market if you need anything. They arrived around 10 pm so did not look around a whole lot . All in all my husband said it was a good motel

Review 99:is that the Wi-Fi kept going in and out. As a tech guy, this can drive you nuts; especially when the hotel is in an area that has few WiFi alternatives, and the nearest Starbucks is several blocks away. This is a modern age, folks - and travellers EXPECT good, stable WiFi!

Review 100:Can't think of a thing.

Review 101:Our hotel room was surprisingly large, even had a complete kitchen corner. Microwave, even a small refrigerator. The room was very clean, everything was perfect. The managers were the perfect hosts. We arrived late, but they were very cordial. Kudos, they are the best! We'll be going back when we return to Seattle,.

Review 102:Bathroom window left open and heater off and in 33 degree weather it took 2 hours to warm up. Upon closer look, place in need of some deep cleaning. Store next door had free coffee to guests but they didn't tell us until last day there.

Review 103:Appeared clean, was comfortable and accommodating.

Review 104:The room was filthy, the faucet handle for bathroom sink fell off in my hand, the shower door was falling off of its glide. No daily cleaning or bed making...only drop off of more towels and emptying waste basket. I would not stay here again.

Review 105:Location was excellent due to my visiting with my son...close enough to walk and also city bus connection was great.

Review 106:Remote buttons for the TV did not work except for on and off.

Review 107:Close and easy to find from Downtown. Close to shopping centers and restaurants. And loved that the vanity/sink area already has a hair drier installed. (women love that!)

Review 108:There was a few things that needed repair, the sink area in bathrrom and kitchen.

Review 109:Nice spot for the price. Loved having the micro wave and frige in the room. Saved me time and money since I could prepare and store food in the room.

Review 110:The location and facilities were extremely dirty. They were not handicap/elderly friendly. The neighbours door was loud and it freaked, they were in and out all night. The neighbourhood was unfortunately in a dodgy area with drugs and prostition. Not safe for families. Very Dissapointed.

Review 111:We don't know there is no cookware supplied, we would like to have glasses for drinking water, a kettle would be great too.

Review 112:The stove, fridge, fan, sink, water......these are good. The air-con, shower, WIFI are good too.

Review 113:The room could be more cleaner. The sink was broke. The carpets in thehallway were dirty. Unfriendly staff. Shady people near the hotel.

Review 114:Location - less than 10 minutes to Seattle center. Big and spaciousroom. Free parking.

Review 115:Kitchen was there but Not even single pot or spoon, knive ect.Which can be difficult when comes to dinner

Review 116:Wifi was working well-that was important for me.Clean bed and towels.

Review 117:1 The smell of the room, probably from the old carpet. 2 the walls and stairs around the exterior were very dirty. A power washer would help allot.

Review 118:The price was fair

Review 119:The "kitchen" didn't have a single mug, spoon, plate, pan, kettle, or anything to use the stove or microwave with. You had to walk to the shop to get a cup of coffee in the morning. The traffic noise from the highway was pretty loud. Not in the best area.

Review 120:Price. Right on the bus line.

Review 121:No additional expectations for the price range.

Review 122:Although it was an old building, it was well maintained and clean. There was initially a mistake about smoking/non smoking but that was cleared up even though it was 11 pm. I thanked the old gentleman/manager when I left for providing good service.

Review 123:Could use a thorough vacuuming of floor and dusting of furniture. One lamp fixture falling off wall. Bathroom sink faucet needs repair. Only 3 hangers in closet.

Review 124:Price and location were good. Sheets and towels clean. It was fine for the 2 nights. Other rooms have kitchens and more updated. Also a convenience store attached.

Review 125:Some of the facilities needed repair , which made it a bit inconvinent ,for example wash room did not have light or water! So we had to use kitchen for water..

Review 126:We had a quiet room at the corner, which we could have a good rest there.

Review 127:It was dirty! Mold in the bathroom ceiling. Walls were dirty! Floor wasn't vacuumed. The mattresses were disgusting. I don't even want to know what I would have seen if I took a black light over it.

Review 128:The only thing I liked was the location. It was fairly easy to get to downtown from the motel.

Review 129:Very small room and didn't need kitchen facility for the price.

Review 130:It is a clean, family run style motel on Seattle's Aurora Ave. which was a great location to visit Seattle Center, downtown, quick access to Ballard.

Review 131:I liked the price. Your about 10min drive to downtown Seattle. We walked about 1km from our hotel where there was an awesome Scottish bar called St.Andrews!

Review 132:There was red mold in the shower. We replaced the shower curtain ourselves, bleached shower stall. Probably won't go there again.

Review 133:Clean sheets, staff was super nice.
