Review 2：My stay was well above expectations. If you're looking for a 5-star hotel in Portland, Maine look no further. Everything about my stay was well above expectations. Exceptional staff, comfortable rooms, delicious food.

Review 3：It's pretty hard to not like everything about this place. The staff were so friendly, genuine and helpful. The location is hard to beat and it is absolutely, a quality hotel.

Review 4：When arrived - sign says, "valet parking". We waited a good 5 minutes - a valet finally approaches the car and leaves a luggage cart for me - and walks away - says, "he's busy". I unloaded two small valises from trunk onto cart and went into lobby. I'm 74 years old - I'm in good shape - but the valet shouldn't have been so harried and disrespectful. Also - waited a while to register - the room wasn't ready - this was about 2:15 p.m. The rooms were ready at exactly 4p.m. -- two rooms to be exact.. Ovedrall it was an enjoyable staty - my wife and daughter, son-in-law - and two youngsters. Thank you.

Review 10：Staff doesn't like it if you book online. BTW the rate was only $10 less than published. Because of this they wouldn't entertain a change of room. Also it was expensive for what it was.

Review 12：Wasn't able to find a pair of pants that I had left in the room, despite calling them immediately after checking out to report the matter. I left a generous tip for house keep too which turns out was a mistake. Apparently they were "lost".

Review 37：Checked in, inspected the room as I usually do for cleanliness and insects. Found stains on the bed, on the furniture, on the linen and pillows. Also on and around the windows and curtains there were a couple stains and cobwebs. Mold in the shower around the floor, and some sort of markings and scratches on the jacuzzi tub. The laminate wood looking floor was peeling and I tripped and fell over it wearing my sandals. The furniture was very beat up and full of scratches. I took lots of pictures spoke with the manager and checked out immediately, this property was not up to par for what I am used to in accommodations at a facility of this caliper. The manager invited me back another time, however I do not think I will accept. This was my first time at this hotel and I'm sad to say I won't be back. The location is great, but not what I expected for the money. I expected so much more based on the reviews and what people told me of this hotel. Also the hotel charged me over $100 more than my booking.come reservation told me it would be. I expect a full refund from the hotel, this ruined my trip and adventure, I won't lie. I wish this review would let me upload pictures.

Review 54：One of the best hotel breakfasts I've had served in a lovely garden would be enough to make this hotel a new favorite for me, but it also stands out for its cheerful, helpful staff and convenient location. The room decor is pleasant but not special. The bed was good but not great. Everything was clean and worked as it should. A major plus was that in our room we heard no hallway noise - hotel is solid and quiet.
