Reviews for Cankaya Konaklari Hotel
Review 1:Breakfast is excellent, "Authentic turkish breakfast" very nice Staff are nice Location is good, but I'd prefer to stay closer to the river next time, although this hotel is only minutes walk to the river and the shops around it.
Review 2:the street by the hotel (you have to cross it when going to the center) is very very busy
Review 3:good breakfast & nice room they'd just upgraided our room without saying anything or asking for aditional payment
Review 4:Located on very busy, noisy main road.Bathrooms very small in deluxe and suite rooms.
Review 5:Close to old town. Attractive old building. Very pleasant and helpful staff.
Review 6:The door to the bathroom in the Dephne room which we were kindly offered second time we stayed is very narrow and up some stairs (no lift). The room itself is a mini suite and really very lovely but you need to be relatively slim to get into the small but very adequate shower room with lovely gold basin! The shower room in Room 17 was bigger. All rooms were immaculate.
Review 7:The fact that Yusuf and Pinar both spoke excellent English was extremely helpful when not many hotel staff at other hotels in the area spoke English. Having said that we had a wonderful week in the area where it is safe. Mosaic Museum is world class. The first room we had (Rm 17) was small but perfectly formed, and quiet as it faced the internal courtyard, having asked to be moved from the more noisy main street side room. Room 15 is also quiet. The staff could not have been more obliging and breakfast is a treat - beautifully laid out.
Review 8:Ideally located by Rumi's tomb, this friendly family-run old house is beautifully renovated, mixing modern with traditional. They give you slippers to wear inside, carry your bags around, give you tips about sights in the city. Travelers should be aware that the roads in this neighborhood are all under construction at present, and some are closed, which is causing headaches for this nice hotel. Contact them before coming to get an update on their block and the roadwork.
Review 9:Nothing
Review 10:Location, easy to walk to most places. The staff is friendly and helpful The architecture and decoration is very nice. Very professional and beautiful map
Review 11:No English TV channels and main road can become a bit noisy.
Review 12:Friendly helpful staff. Quaintness of hotel. The decor added to the lovely ambience. Location and easy access to sites. Traditional breakfasts made with the freshest ingredients.
Review 13:the stuff are too much friendly and helpful.. especially the one who serves breakfast she is too much friendly and helpful with a smiley face
Review 14:Perfect location in the city center. Very helpful staff. Very nice room. Great breakfast. Free parking place. Excellent value for money.
Review 15:Two minute walking distance to the best restaurants Very friendly and courteous staff
Review 16:Everything The staff The style The food The location All are very good
Review 17:We can not say this is hotel, this is motel . Rooms very small , no privacy , there is no reception area enguph , no elevator .
Review 18:Clean and good stuff
Review 19:very helpful staff, great breakfast, convenient location, fast and reliable wifi
Review 20:Excellent location in old Anatakya. Wonderful new hotel in a typical building, with charming decoration. Extremely kind and helpful staff. Great buffet breakfast with a broad selection of traditional Turkish food. I definitely recommend this hotel.
Review 21:The hotel doesn't have a gym.
Review 22:Pinar at the Front Desk made our visit very pleasant. Very service minded. We were in Istanbul before we arrived, and we immediately noticed the level of service when we needed to change our room.
Review 23:The staff is really helpful and nice. The breakfast and soup service were delicious. Our room looked so unique and the bed was really comfortable. The courtyard was so calm and nice decorated. We loved to drink some cay there.
Review 24:All, these comments are added as constructive critisism for this lovelynew hotel....Breakfast buffet was a bit limited, when compared to other similar hotels in Antakya. Esp when compared to the Savon. Rooms with windows in doors allow hall lighting to shine in at nights disturbing sleep. The windows are period peices but not necessarily the most practical. No international TV news channels. My room kettle lead could not reach a plug. Many hotels suffer from this, place a kettle in the room but dont allow its use!
Review 25:Location, cleanliness, staff, room facilities, meeting room for 20people, 24 hour reception.
Review 26:There was not anything I did not like, but if you have a hard time with stairs, I only saw narrow stairs and did not see an elevator.
Review 27:The staff was sincere, welcoming, professional and helpful. There was someone that the staff can contact who spoke English. The breakfast included eggs cooked to order (not just hard boiled eggs). The location is around the corner and within walking distance to restaurants (5 mins) and to the main sights (10 mins) (except for St Peter's church which requires a car.) The hotel was just opened in late 2013 and the room and bathroom had new furnishings in a classy and elegant style. The staff helped me figure out how to get to the restaurant and how to get to the bus otogar and provided me with a tour guide who spoke English well.
Review 28:Nothing at all.
Review 29:Staff was excellently friendly, they did their best to make our stay great and joyful. Hotel had a great ambiance and decoration. We also loved the breakfast, they had a broad selection of traditional Turkish breakfast food.
Review 30:It’s a converted hotel from an old Antakya house, located on one of two main streets of Antakya. Very closed to touristic buildings in the center. It is a very pleasant building with its wooden structure, nice decoration, open yard and newly-built restaurant. Everything, that might be necessary is on balance in the rooms down to the last detail. The receptionists, the barista, the cleaning ladies; each of the staff members is incredibly polite, attentive and helpful. You can feel that their interest is not just as a matter of course, but it is warmhearted. They make much of the guests’ comfort and the breakfast. The breakfast is not open buffet, yet it is like five times bigger for one person , wide variety and very delicious&quality. They also made a really fine gesture for us: We asked if we could find some local food around and the following morning, they brought it freshly homemade at breakfast. Thanks a lot for this wonderful sweetness again. They also offered a very nice lunch the check out day, though it wasn’t included in our reservation. The personnel is greatly generous, elegant and gracious. The owner lady of the hotel also takes a close interest in the guests’ comfort. The upper yard restaurant’s construction was ongoing while we were resting. Yet neither the street’s noise, nor the construction annoyed us. Very nice job for a new operation. Everything’s above standard. It may become one of the best boutique hotels in the country if a few minor details are handled, as well. Thanks again to especially the crew for their gentle gestures, polish and helps. They definitely won our heart. We strongly recommend the hotel to everyone who happens to pass to Antakya…
