Reviews for A Loft In The Mill Boutique Accommodation

Review 1:Poor WIFI connectivity - but then again, just enjoy the natural beauty around us and forget about being connected to society for a moment Of course a little pricey but certainly a worthwhile one-off experience

Review 2:Fantastic decor! Loved the quirky charm to the whole place and the luxury of it all. There is so much effort into the architecture of an authentically vintage house like this. Not to mention the rooms are all bespoke designs Excellent amenities - Molton Brown in the bathroom anyone? Great customer service and friendly staff

Review 3:In room wifi non existent even if you did the connect at reception and walk to your room thing they suggest. Black decor made the room feel very closed in , especially being underground , photos on the website made it look bigger. lots of road noise

Review 4:close to lots of stuff

Review 5:Gorgeous room. Easy checkin and check out. Friendly staff over the phone although we didn't see anyone while we were there due to timing. Great location!

Review 6:no staff around either when we arrived or when we left (we arrived about 8pm at night and left at about 10am the next day)

Review 7:room full of character, very comfy bed, lovely garden area

Review 8:The boutique near to the road, especially our Victoria Room. It's quite noisy because you can hear every car pass by on the road.

Review 9:Beautiful place to stay, forest surrounding the boutique. I like the Victorian Style garden and room. You can have a walk to National Rhododendron Garden, falls and have a look at aboriginal inspired sculptures at William Ricketts Sanctuary. And entrance all free.

Review 10:Wi fi was only accessible if you went outside - they had an extender in the room but too weak to function - Need to get a stronger modem for it to function.

Review 11:Well located in a beautiful part of the Dandenongs. Small room furnished with antique style furniture.

Review 12:I should've stayed longer and the free WiFi was a bit of a hit and miss but that might be of the location.

Review 13:The serenity of the accommodation... The location was easy to find and near all the stores you need.

Review 14:The staff warmly welcomed us as we checked in and were also very helpful on check out- gave us some suggestions of what to do and see before we went home. The dutchess quarters was very elegant and secluded. And the Sky High restaurant was wonderful- great food, great view and excellent service!

Review 15:The shared space for wardrobe and kitchenette was not ideal, the shower was cramped.

Review 16:Comfort of the bed, the outlook, the general cleanliness, peace and quiet, excellent parking facilities

Review 17:The moment we stepped in the reception the ladies where so lovely making sure we had everything showing us to our room ,making sure our heater worked and the free dvds for the night ,also the discount we got at a local restaurant that they organised for us!

Review 18:The room smelled stuffy and really needed fresh air. We wanted to watch a dvd but it wouldn't play.

Review 19:It was quiet and peaceful. What surprised me was the information available regarding the shops, their locations, opening hours and even menus. That was a great surprise. Very nice of them to provide this detailed list. Also, everything was clean and I cannot really fault them.

Review 20:The only thing that was slightly annoying was the noises of the bar fridge.

Review 21:I liked the decor and comforts in the suite. It had everything l needed. A lovely touch with complimentary chocolates and breakfast.

Review 22:Unfortunately the bed was too soft for us and there was a draft under the door. Might need to update compendium also. Some restaurants no longer in Olinda.

Review 23:Overall a fantastic stay! Staff were lovely & room beautifully appointed with everything you need. Location is perfect.

Review 24:Not noise proof, was kept awake until after 3 am due to nosy residents The timber gir the fire was poor quality, needed split air to stay warm

Review 25:The room was set up beautifully Bed very comfortable Lovely selection of breakfast & tea/coffee Spa bath was a very generous size Complimentary Bottle of wine

Review 26:The staff are absolutely amazing. So helpful, caring, just wonderful. The rooms... Absolutely stunning. I had my whole family here for a wedding and it was amazing. Beautiful rooms that I can't even begin to describe. Best time of my life.

Review 27:room very cold even with heater and wood fire place! Very nosy I'n the morning. Told reception next day and lady wasn't overall helpful!

Review 28:Location good. Room cosy.

Review 29:Cannot count too much on the wifi.

Review 30:Staff very nice and caring. The loft was unexpectedly gorgeous and homey (love the fireplace so much!). 2mins from the nearest transport stop.

Review 31:Wifi did not work, could hear guests upstairs listening to television over our own noise, and each step they took.. Even them flushing the toilet!, shower head was loose and unadjustable so had to spend ten minutes trying to shower without getting hit on the head. DVDs they provided didn't work, we took 5 into our bedroom and none of them worked so we were left listening to the guests upstairs as we had nothing we could do on the television and we couldn't use the Internet either.

Review 32:Beautiful location and lovely staff. Breakfast was great and the bed was very comfortable.

Review 33:Wifi password didn't work, but not a big deal. Nice to unplug for a night.

Review 34:Room was adorable, like being in a little castle room. Enjoyed the free selection of DVDs and brekkie items were nice.

Review 35:The décor of the room, the old stone walls, hanging chandeleirs and 4 poster bed. I woke up feeling like a princess, the 2 staff members I met were very welcoming and helpful. Excellent value for money, thank you!

Review 36:We stayed at the Loft in the Mill- King Arthur suit. It was beautiful and relaxing. Great facilities. Staff did everything they could to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The bed was super comfy

Review 37:Wifi did not work in our room and we could not get it fixed until next morning.

Review 38:A perfect place to relax. It felt like home: cosy, clean and warm. Very helpful and friendly stuff. Highly recommended!

Review 39:Wifi signal so poor essentially fraudulent to advertise internet access in the rooms. Room overwhelmed with pine scented cleaner for the first day (guess that means room was really clean!) No shower curtain to keep water off bathroom floor was odd. No thermostat to keep room warm, having to turn fireplace on at 2 am to stay warm a pain.

Review 40:Very quiet and private. Comfortable bed. Plenty of space.

Review 41:The owner spent time with us at check in to make sure we had a dinner booking and somewhere special to spend the afternoon. We felt very welcome and cared for :)

Review 42:To close to the road, which wasn't mentioned in the advertising..

Review 43:Olde Worldly feel, with lots of little special touches, like beautiful bathroom soaps and thick towels. great breakfast set up, very generous..

Review 44:Wifi didn't work at all and staff pack up and are gone by 6pm so no one on site to fix small problems but phone number on door to call if an emergency. We came in after 5.30pm and they call to make sure we were coming and as soon as we arrived they were off, without giving me wifi code which i got from neighbour but didn't work anyway. Stay in the main house or in Tudor room (ours) Loft or larger house. We had some smokers next door who sat outside the back talking loudly but fortunately went out for the night.

Review 45:The old mill is based on one but is a new build. The room was cosy with a fireplace, electric blankets and screened windows. Small kitchenette with breakfast supplies, milk,cereal,tea/coffee was enough for a night.Free DVD's and voucher provided for 15% off nearby restaurant in walking distance. Well placed for local walks and the new cafe at old piggery site. ours was cheapest room at $160 attached to larger 3 bedroom house and the loft. Nice shared grass area with lounge where i sat and read in the dying sun.

Review 46:What is not to like! This place was heaven, beautifully laid out apartment, large king size bed, 2 bathrooms and as for the spa bath and fire gorgeous. I could select films from reception, the lady was so helpful, I got matches from her and had a chat with their cat. Town is lovely . Went for some lovely walks.

Review 47:A little overpriced wifi reception not available in our room only in the reception area. no working tv. Though room was large carpets could have done with a Hoover. Though details like slippers were placed room didn't feel luxurious, dark with single glazed windows and felt somewhat like staying in a renovated garage

Review 48:Friendly staff kitchen facilities

Review 49:Despite the staff being most helpful, problems with the WiFi could not be rectified during our stay.

Review 50:A beautiful B & B with refreshing mountain air, beautiful scenery but Melbourne city still quite accessible . Excellent cafe dining available nearby. Very helpful host.

Review 51:Noise cars outside lol we couldnt get aircon working properly warm night user issue

Review 52:The room was enchanting had a real authentic theme bed was so comfy lol bathroom facilities exceptional

Review 53:Nothing

Review 54:Friendly and helpful staff with good suggestions given on places to visit. Olinda has some nice shops and the local indian joint does great food. The victorian suite that we stayed in was beautifully decorated and we were sad to leave.

Review 55:We could only stay for one night! Would have loved to soak it up for longer.

Review 56:Friendly and generous hosts, authentic feel with privacy. We booked three rooms and each one was special, differently themed and provided the pleasant surprise I was looking for.

Review 57:The King Size Four Post Bed, The Continental Breakfast, And We Woke To A Thunder Storm And Heavy Rain It Was Great And With The Café's Across The Street We Had Lunch By A Open Fire Watching The Rain

Review 58:not a thing

Review 59:we enjoyed our four night stay in lovely duchesse suite so comfortable staff very helpful hope to go back next yearfor my eighty scecond birthday

Review 60:Great location, right in Olinda. Lovely clean accommodation. Only issue that we had was on main busy tourist road which didn't give us much peace. Had a lovely courtyard metres from cars roaring along. Friendly staff but wanted to be up in the hills and enjoy the serenity....

Review 61:The weather, thunder & lightening. Nothing to do with the venue.

Review 62:Lovely sized room with an excellent bed. Enjoyed the continental breakfast & eating in our own time.

Review 63:It was lovely to have breakfast provisions, but they were very light.

Review 64:Location, location, location Amazingly clean, relaxing and had many little extras - chocolates, mohair throws, fire already set, heater left on to warm the room, lights left on--all combine to help us feel welcome.

Review 65:Shower was quite small, room was a little dated (old carpet, bathroom and light fittings) but overall a charming room!

Review 66:The room was charming and comfortable, log fire was a lovely feature! Amazing bed linen and gorgeous four poster bed. The private garden was perfect for a glass of wine before dinner at Sky High, with a limo ride there organised by the hotel. Highly recommend!

Review 67:A beautiful place in the mountain. Good location with shops and restaurants nearby. Owners are friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean, with full facilities. Really enjoyed our stay there!

Review 68:a little smell of dampness as it was on the ground floor. I thought it would be more secluded.

Review 69:location, staff, spa, comfortable, good recommendations,

Review 70:the pillows were uncomfortable, it would be ideal if there were robes available.

Review 71:The environment was cozy, the decor was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, the spa was relaxing, there was pleanty of wood for the fireplace (as the weather was really cold)

Review 72:No air conditioning

Review 73:Quaint and rustic fit out. Lovely old building

Review 74:We could hear the people in the room above us, which was a little bit of a romance killer.

Review 75:The gardens were lovely.

Review 76:The curtains didn't cover the Windows properley

Review 77:We went for our night straight after our wedding and it was well lit and easy to access!!

Review 78:It was near the shops, close to attractions.

Review 79:The grounds and surroundings absolutely beautiful. Staff very friendly and the quirkiness of the place was fantastic , can't wait to go back!

Review 80:Attention to detail

Review 81:The wifi was not working when we stayed there and that is bad because the whole mount dandenong had poor coverage.

Review 82:Wifi didn't really work

Review 83:Staff were friendly and welcoming, spa was brilliant and large enough for two/

Review 84:Nice and lovely !

Review 87:The attention to detail in the room was incredible. Every little thing had been thought of. We had a lovely time.

Review 88:The owner's attention to details, the comfortable bed and the location. Amazing!

Review 89:Everything was stunning! The service, the accomodation, everything was perfect!

Review 90:TV too small.

Review 91:Pretty and comfortable room.

Review 92:Loved the courtyard and spa , open fire and a very comfy bed

Review 93:Wifi would not connect in room. Had to go outside the building to connect, but it would then drop out.

Review 94:Friendly staff and the clean room.

Review 95:A room with character an open fire but also a heater. A huge very comfortable bed and exceptionally helpful staff!

Review 96:The wifi. But everything else far outdone this. Will definetly recommend and come again

Review 97:Each room is unique

Review 98:Everything about the room. Couldn't ask for more if you come away relaxed from being overloaded....

Review 101:Lovely warm room was perfect and inviting for an after hours arrival. Simple but yummy breakfast provided. 11am check out is very relaxing. Thank you
