Reviews for Regency Hotel and Spa

Review 1:Hair dryer was broken in pieces and nobody bothered to repair it and the toilet kept running and broke completely down during the last night.

Review 2:The clean big pool, the access to the sea where you could swimm easily. And the location next to the harbor and city center.

Review 3:Bathrooms in bed shape, dirty bath tab, old stained bed sheets, hairdryer not working, aweful breakfast buffet. All in all hotel is run down and pricy. It used to be much better in the past.

Review 4:The hotel was located at walking distance from most historical sites.

Review 5:As in many places, some good staff. Some indifferent or incompetent. Very bureaucratic. Took 15 minutes just to get a pool towel with all the paperwork and sending me back and forth between reception and pool. Lots of food. Mostly with little taste. Lots of sweet fried dough for breakfast. Something that looks like it might be scrambled eggs but the taste and texture implies something else. The evening desserts are pretty good. And the morning coffee is strong and rich. Due to poor design of tub and shower area it is near impossible to take a short shower without flooding the bathroom. And there is no bathroom floor drain. The maids must hate it.

Review 6:Nice big room and big bathroom. Balcony overlooking pool and sea. Very good pool area. Beach available. Wifi was very good as I requested a room with a strong signal and was placed next to the wifi box. But I can see there aren't enough boxes. Location is very close to town and ribat which is good

Review 7:The hotel was very clean with very friendly staff including Aziza and Jamal. The friendly staff who are helpful and can resolve any issues. There is a fantastic food including Tunisian, European and well presented. We stayed for a week in April on all inclusive basis.

Review 8:halfboard is great value: huge display of food (mostly Tunisian which is alright for me) both for breakfast and dinner beautiful room with great views of the marina friendly and professional staff

Review 9:very tired rooms, all the food tasted the same, the buffet has like recycled left overs. No heating in many rooms. No connection to inter net.

Review 10:Location

Review 11:Poor hygiene especially in the room, old and violent elevators, wifi signal was weak on many locations and many networks did not have internet (I ended up buying Tunisian SIM to be able to use internet).

Review 12:Big hotel, big rooms and terrace, rich breakfast and dinner, a lot of animation for the guests throughout the day, nice swimming pool and there is also a private beach, private parking.

Review 13:The hotel is not new but in good shape.

Review 14:I can really recommend this hotel. The position is perfect, nice staff, really good food and nice rooms. Off course you shall have all inclusive.

Review 15:The food can be better. Cook less dishes but more quality in what you serve. coffee at breakfast is poor. juices were poor. it's water with a taste and too sweet. boiled eggs were too soft.

Review 16:I like the good restaurants nearby. i like the pool(s) spacy rooms with fantastic seaview. the bidet (good French habit). Spacy hotel. massage was very good.

Review 17:Bed linens smelly. Waiting staff expecting tips. Staff doesn't speak english.

Review 18:Very nice hotel, swimming pool and outside space clean and nice. Very pleasant, small but nice and clean beach. Room traditional decorated, very big, nice comfy beds. Food good, but if you stay more than a week it's the same. All together very nice and I would stay there anytime.

Review 19:the TV was old with only french channels.

Review 20:i liked a lot the location, the panorama. The beach was very nice and clean with a very transparent and cleanwateraaaaaaaaaaaa The staff was kind an helpfull. The food was diversified and tasty (international and local cuisine), the location is adapted for young and old people with funny activities. The hotel is central and allow to visit the city easily.

Review 21:Strong smell in bedroom from bathroom.bird nest on light in balcony, feathers and bird droppings on table. Toilet by pool, lid down, disgusting, it turned me off my dinner.

Review 22:View from room with balcony, nice outdoor pool, central location

Review 23:Very rude stuff. They always say "My friend money first".

Review 24:We feel so sorry for the antimatters that they were trying to make that bad hotel looks better.

Review 25:Hotel setting, Room cleanliness, Friendly and chatty workers, clean pool and beach. Wide variety of food.

Review 26:location next to the marina, cafes and direct access to the beach. tunisian traditional style

Review 27:Food is very very poor ! Wifi too

Review 28:Marina , wonderful view on the sea , nice hotel

Review 29:FRAM team TV too old

Review 30:Beach staff is excellent

Review 31:The advert depict a 3-room apartment. We found that it was just a singe room with 2 double and 2 single beds.

Review 32:Security and location.

Review 33:I am Tunisian by origin and I am used to Tunisian food but the the food in the hotel was really poor. Not many varieties of dishes and most things were not cooked fresh. The dinner time was at 7:30 pm which is too late for small children. Also, we were so disappointment with the facilities for small children as there was none apart from the swimming pool. Our children (7, 5 and 3) didn't really enjoy their time. The mini club which was supposed to be for small children was mostly closed. The staff and the animators spoke mainly Arabic and French with very little English. Basically the hotel and the city of Monastir has very little entertainment for young children. I would never go back to that hotel again. It was not worth the money we paid at all.

Review 34:The location of the hotel is very good: close to the town and on the sea side. The room was big and spacious.

Review 35:Wifi little unstable. Beach filled up with seaweed and little difficult to get access to the water.

Review 36:Clean sheats and towels every day. Nice pool area and friendly staff. Good value for money.

Review 37:The facades of the hotel needed painting; The hotel rooms needed renovation/modernisation; The city of Monastir and beaches badly needed cleaning/maintenance.

Review 38:The staff was very friendly; Nature around the hotel is wonderful, but urgently needs cleaning!

Review 39:everythings( food very poor, not rich, poor flavor ) Staff not pro No room srevices very baaaaaaad vacation place very unhappy with the service we got for price we paid im not stay there again that makes me ashamed to have a hotel like that in Tunisia Lost my money and wasted my time ( this hotel need a loooooooooooot of work )

Review 40:quietness and location

Review 41:1) The discriminating and humiliating remark told to me by the receptionist when I made the check-in. Receptionist, "Sir, concerning the indoor swimming pool, one is not allowed to swim with his clothes." Surprised, I said, "Do people swim with their clothes?!" He said, "Well, sir, Your wife is wearing a "Hijab" and she would not be allowed into the pool while putting something on her head. That sir is our internal policy." 2) After leaving the hotel at 11 a.m., I realized at 3 p.m. that I had forgotten all our coats and jackets, and we were still in Monastir, I returned back to the hotel to get my things back. I were told that the housekeeper went home and may had kept your clothes in her office and you need to return back the day after!? 3) When I asked the receptionist to hand me the complaints book being laid on the shelf behind her, she told me that it is full and she would bring one from inside. I am still waiting?!!!

Review 42:The hotel is well-located. Its buffet is rich and varied. The personnel in the restaurant are friendly and helpful. Some of the personnel at the reception are professionally good.

Review 43:They don't allow swimming for women with hijab, it's a shame because as I remember tunisia is a muslim country. ... and personal are not friendly ...and ther is no room service!!!!

Review 44:Air conditionning was not working so it was uncomfortable in the room.. Room was clean although the toilet was a bit smelly... Food was ok but not great esp. was expecting better quality for the local food choice...

Review 45:Hotel close to Monastir center which allows to visit the city and in the same time by the sea so it s easy to enjoy the beach...

Review 46:We don´t speak French. Staff doesn´t speak English. Some of them do abit, but to ask or clarify something more sophisticated than price ormeal is a bit problematic. Hotel doesn´t have maps - neither map ofMonastir nor map of Tunisia, which could be very helpful. Also, despiteof declaring hotel has free wifi, we had problems with it.

Review 47:Hotel Regency is reasonably priced good hotel. Clean, quite comfortable, nice pool area. Staff is friendly and helpful as long as they understandyou. Location is good, also.

Review 48:Dirty, dirty dirty very dirty. For a four star hotel it s not at all clear the star very laisy except the youngs from enteteirment. All the staff wait for tipps. And very very expensive for the quality they offer.

Review 49:Only location and view

Review 50:The staff is nasty. When we arrived we decided to use all inclusive, but they did not tell, that extra paying was almost for nothing since that time 2 o'clock there was no lunch. The beach bar closed in front of my eyes, although the bar tender could see and understan that my 9 year old son was thirsty. He did not even give a glass of water to him. The room key did not work at least 6 times during 2 days. Even when they changed it it could not open the door. The food for lunch and dinner was terrible. Cold fried eggs for breakfast.

Review 51:The location of the hotel is really good. Rooms are big. Pool is nice.

Review 52:Beach and sea in front of the hotel were dirty, as it is alloverTunesia. The people do not care for the environment and there are awfulpiles of rubbish in nearly every street and city.

Review 53:Friendly and nice service, spacious rooms, nice sea-view, food wasok. For some, who like, intensiv animation, they care for you andthe children.

Review 54:The staff was really rude to us, no good treat. Reception waiting for almost everything.

Review 55:Perfect location, great room and awesome views. The swimming pools and the bar, really good.

Review 56:The television was small and outdated. Modern flatscreen, wall mounted televisions with a large screen would be a definite plus. The most annoying thing was that the TV was totally in French language only. The hotel needs to recognise that other nationalities will use the hotel and they may not understand French. For this reason I was unable to use the television and this was a big disappointment.

Review 57:The hotel was very comfortable, good value for monet and the decor in the Tunisian style was very pleasing.

Review 58:Everything! Perfect value for money!!!!

Review 59:discrimination about the entry of Muslims women in the pool . the staff is not qualified

Review 60:the location

Review 61:Hard bed pillows, low ceilings, long hallways.

Review 62:Spacious rooms, good buffet restaurant, nice pool and grounds.

Review 63:too many noisy kids running around but nit the hotel's fault

Review 64:Friendly staff, good location

Review 65:Breakfast very poor mattress and pillows bumpy and old

Review 66:the bar closes very early

Review 67:very clean, very close to the city center

Review 68:Don't know, it was only one night and it was fine.

Review 69:View from hotel room over the sea was beautiful.

Review 70:Just a great hotel !!!

Review 71:The staff treated our Tunisian colleague very poorly, and nearly did not give him a room.
