Review 1：The breakfast was really simple and took forever to come - island time. Our room was adequate but plain with no view, and the pool's not inviting, but most people would come for the beach. Somehow we were charmed by the place.

Review 2：It's a small island guesthouse run by warm, friendly people who took good care of us. We flew in the night before embarking on a cruise ship so didn't spend much time there. It's the kind of place where each person who drove us or checked us in introduced him or herself, and the breakfast waitress gave us a hug.

Review 5：The pool needs improvements,the room did not get clean on the 4 day. Light fixture needs to be fix.mats on the floor needs to be change. We had to ask for toilet paper. The fridge did not work properly.

Review 12：The facilities were very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They were willing to advise me on whatever I asked and provided taxi services that is extremely reliable. I will definitely return if I ever come to barbados again..I felt at home

Review 15：The staff was excellent. Especially the Reception staff. The taxi driver was so accommodating and made one feel at home. Relaxing quiet environment just loved it. The room was spacious, clean & most of all very comfortable and of course Free WIFI in room. A pool is available for use also, liked that too. I felt I knew the staff upon entering the facility since they all made me feel so at home. Will definitely keep it on my list of places to stay in Barbados

Review 17：The staff was very pleasant, friendly, helpful and accommodating. They were available to answer any questions and offer suggestions in terms of food and where to go and what to do. It was like staying with family members or friends overseas but with more privacy and flexible to do what you want :-)

Review 18：The area was very bad the breakfast was poor the utensils were not very clean, there was no such thing as room service and the location was the worst. The taxi was basically a broken down vehicle which desperately needed servicing. The phone in the room was from the 1700'S. The cable box had a lot of issues which lead to me using my laptop most of the time to watch tv.

We spent the majority of time in a rental car (reserved by the lovely staff) and it was amazing! We will definitely be back since we got engaged here! Definitely felt like family!

Review 24：Unfortunately I had a very short stay at Emerald Ridge as a stop-over visitor en route to (one night) and from (one night) Dominica. My stay was therefore very limited. I needed somewhere relatively close to the airport and it was, but was far within a residential community, making it difficult to easily get to the main road and other areas, although a shuttle service is provided.

Review 25：Enjoyed the general ambiance and homely comfortable feel of the environment. It was aesthetically pleasing and warm. Also enjoyed and appreciated the free wireless internet service, especially as a business traveler. I enjoyed the front desk hospitality and the airport shuttle service that proved quite efficient and hospitable. I'm sorry I was just a stop-over visitor and so didn't have the time to fully utilize the facilities.

Review 26：I did not like the fact that the water pressure was so low!! I hardly had water to bathe properly. I hate that the power in my room went off three times and only in my room it seemed! It was also a bit noisy.

I enjoyed the pool facility.... didn't have time for the BBQ but looks like it would be a load of fun!!!!! Review 59：The worst Hotel I have ever stayed in. They have no hot water, it looks nothing like on the pictures, and in a horrible location. I reached there and ended up having to call bookings.com to fight to get the hotel canceled. The rooms where dirty and in serious need of upgrades. The bathrooms where mouldy and stank. When i inquired about the lack of hot water the receptionist had the nerve to tell me they didn't have hot water tanks. They only had solar panels and the water never got fully hot. One of my worst experiences at a hotel yet. I wouldn't wish that hotel on my worst enemy. I implore anyone reading DO NOT i repeat DO NOT STAY AT THAT DISGUSTING DUMB…

Review 61：The beds were not good, we had problems with our air condiction, the wi-fi service was not good in out room spent a lot of time outside my door just to get A signal my shower water dripped all the time. When I was having the problems they never offered Me a better room to accomadate our issues. It could be a nice place but need some up- graing needs to be better maintain better beds and bedding our bed never had a mattres cover and the mattress was stained. One of the house keeper was very good took her time and cleaned ur room and they had one that was not so good. I personally would not go there again with my exerience there not unless there waS a lot of improvement.

Review 68：The apartment was not practical .The sofa and chair was in back room with kitchen.TV was in bedroom so ended up in bedroom all the time so I could watch TV. The kitchen was very basic just a gas stove,no toaster,kettle.No can opener or corkscrew.I may as well just have had the room rather than apartment. The bulb in the kitchen blew twice and it took 24 hours to fix. The location is far from main road and if you didn't have car it would be difficult. Price is too high for this location

Review 70：I stayed here with a friend for a couple of nights over New Year. The staff here were totally fabulous- so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Although it is located in a residential area, you can walk to a bus stop or the guest house has a shuttle bus which they were more than happy to give us lifts in. It's located in close proximity of st Lawrence's gap which is good for food and drinks in the evening. Also, Dover beach is nearby. The island is fairly small and taxis are very reasonable so everything is pretty accessible. The Emerald Ridge was clean, nicely decorated and spacious. Everything we could've wished for and great value.

Whomever wrote the positive reviews must have been paid by the company.
