Review 1：The gm was rude,we went to a nearby casino,came back and found our tv remote was missing.though the last thing we did before leaving for casino was turn off tv with remote.there wasn't even a working hotel main sign lit.never staying there again!!!!

Review 3：The water came out brown when we first turned it on. I guess from to being used. It cleared up though. One of the lights didn't work.
Review 4：It was ok, clean, quiet. We just needed a place to sleep after attending a wedding, we left early the next day. It is not a place I would go if I wanted to spend time at a hotel. But it was good for a quick stay.

Review 7：The price was very good for the area and time of year ( Columbus day weekend). It's very close to Mystic and other area attractions. The room was spacious and clean ( though the carpet was a bit stained).They refilled everything at breakfast frequently. It's nice that they offer coffee all day in the lobby and decent quality toiletries. We would stay there again.

Review 9：We were looking for clean and comfortable budget hotel near Mystic Seaport. Hilltop Express was just that. Owners were pleasant and eager to accommodate. When we struggled with carrying our heavy bags up to second floor owner quickly changed our room to one on the first floor that was just steps from our parked car. Very comfortable beds! Continental breakfast was fresh bagels, toast, cereal, juice, and coffee. Nothing fancy or corporate here-- hardworking family of entrepreneurs. I liked that!
Review 10：We asked for non smoking room but the room smelled like someone had just smoked in the room. The carpet was old and room was outdated. Bathroom tub was damaged and when went to take a shower the water was brown. I had to let it run for a few minutes before showering

Review 15：I liked the lovely Indian couple whose entire family, all three generations, worked so hard to make our stay enjoyable. It was a pleasure and a privilege to stay with such a nice family. We'll going back if I find myself in the area. Bravo!
Review 16：This place is a dump! The room was outdated with stains on the walls and carpet. I was woken up at 1:30 in the a.m. by people partying next door. About 2:00a.m. the floor in the bathroom started making a very loud banging noise. I called the desk and was told there was nothing he could do about it. I told him I would leave if he refunded my money, he started yelling at me and told me he wouldn't give me a refund. I requested changing rooms and he told me there were no more rooms available. The noise was so loud there was no way anyone could sleep through it. So I told him I was calling the police to see what they could do, and all of a sudden he found a spare room. I didn't like being woken up, and I certainly didn't like fighting with the manager at 2:00a.m. over something that he should have bent over backwards to fix for a customer, especially when he did have another room.
Review 17：It was pretty dated looking, the wifi was inconsitent, the ac was avintage unit that took hours to cool the room (which was like an ovenwhen we arrived) there was no ac in the hallways and the windows did notopen, making the first couple hours upon arrival much like sitting in asauna. After the first night, we left the ac running, it was muchcooler. The tv was one of those old giant vaccuum tube numbers, but theyhad cable. Breakfast is nothing special, very limited, dry cereal andbagels with coffee or juice. Not even fresh fruit, and the"breakfast room" is a tiny, converted guest room with twotables in it, so you get to sit very cozy with other guests, or carrybreakfast back to your room.

Review 19：The water temp in the shower was very hard to control it was to hot or to cold unable to get a happy medium. We were on the second floor and my wife uses a cane to walk and there are no elevators.

The tv didnt have a remote so we had to keep getting up to change the channel. They hallway smelled like cigeratte/cigar smoke. And you could not open a window which I was unconfortable with..

Review 25：Arrived around 10 pm, couldn't find entrance, was blocked by a groupof scary men out front smoking, none of whom moved when I walked pastwith my 4 children! Inside room stunk of cigarettes, (suppose to besmoke free room) next door was bar, trash/abandoned car seats,tires, etc in hotel parking lot. Shower mat literally stuck to floor andwas edged deep in dirt. Blankets, carpet and bedding all smoke filled.Hallways old and smelly, carpeting stained and smelly. Breakfast washostess mini-donuts, some bagels which disappeared and were neverreplenished, literally a cup of bran flakes and a cup of corn flakes in2 containers, no milk to be found, there was juice that ran out and wasnever refilled, there was coffee, little to no effort was made and therewas not a piece of fruit to be found, for $100 a night, come on! Staffwas rude and stared at myself and my children, very unsettling. Had wenot arrived so late we would have never stayed, I barely slept a wink!Hotel needs total remodel from top to bottom. Not family friendly, yourchildren will be scared if you bring them here. We travel a lot forsoccer and this is by far the worst hotel we've stayed in. Veryupset booking.com has it on this site. If people are reviewing it as agreat, clean, etc. they must own it because no one in their right mindwould say that!! Stay away from here.
Review 26：Beyond the bedding being dirty and smelly, the mattress was comfortable.
Review 27：It took about 30 minutes to check in and with a little one that was rough after a long road trip. The woman who checked us in must have been filling in because we never saw her at the counter again during our 3 days there. Both the gentleman and the younger lady who worked there were pleasant and helpful. Air conditioning in room worked well for about half of each day then wouldn't the other half.
Review 28：Beds were very comfortable although definitely time for new comforters and blankets on beds. Wifi worked great. Room was clean and fridge was already on in the room. Breakfast was a nice perk-not the greatest but enough to get you going for the day. Staff was very responsive to needs. Good place to rest your head for the night.

My friends room was just as bad. Hole in his ceiling that was repaired badly. Water damage. Possibly poop on the wall. The room smelled awful. Water from faucet was brown. The doors didn't shut properly. Our bed was tossed on top of 2 other mattresses which mad the entire thing unstable. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Review 52：The hallway carpet was old and bumpy. Looked like it was attempted to have been cleaned but was so old and worn it should be replaced. The couch in the room was soiled looking. There were splashes of something on several of the walls and the ceiling had an area where it had been leaking and needed attention. The "breakfast room" was small and tables were pushed together and rather cramped. Breakfast was bagels, little Debbie donut holes, cereal, juice, coffee, milk. It was okay. We wondered if the hotel was in the middle of being refurbished or if it is what it will be.

Review 59：There was no elevator in the building and the staircase was narrow and steep to get to the 2nd floor. The "included" breakfast was boxed donuts and cereal...we went out for our breakfasts...The Inn was better suited for someone who just needed a place to sleep before hitting the road again...
Review 60：Would have been helpful to my friend who is in a wheelchair to have at least one apartment available with a handicap shower, however, the sink in the entrance hall and wide paths around the beds were very accommodating to his needs.
Review 61：Staff was very pleasant & accommodating. It was cleaner than I expected. The key fob was cool to open the doors. You did not have to insert the card into a slot to open the door rather just pass it over the sensor and the door opened. That is unique and convenient when carrying things in your hands. The paint / wallpaper design of the multicolors was a nice touch. Carpet was soft to my bare feet.

Review 70：The door was not secure. It was missing the security latch. The strike plate was also missing, causing the door to stay somewhat open. I told the manager that my wife felt insecure all night. The manager said he could not do anything about it.

I don't know where they got the pictures they posted on your site, but it wasn't this place. The nice big room that was supposed to be where the breakfast was, just didn't exist. The smell of disinfectant was so strong it burned my eyes & throat. I requested the 1st floor, but even though there were no one else staying there they made us climb a long flight of steps to the 2nd floor and it was hotter than hell. Our room was very, very hot. If you're going to put someone in a room you need to at least put the air conditioning on low so it will be cool when we arrive. I will never stay there again and I'm not sure I'll book on booking.com ever again. If you're going to post this kind of motel on your website, then I have to question how the other motels are.
