Reviews for Hotel Cesare
Review 1:It can be rather noisy in the street in the evening and you may hear it in the room if it faces the street.
Review 2:In the very center of the historical city of San Marino. Nice stuff. Good food.
Review 3:Had some issues with wifi, but got fixed the next day.
Review 4:Best location in San Marino. Right within thd castle walls and meters away from everything. The personnel was nice and welcoming.
Review 5:The room was too small for a double and we had no decent view - I assume this was because we took a last minute deal. Breakfast was only average.
Review 6:The Hotel was just inside the old city walls which was great,
Review 7:Room kind of old, smells little, and soundproof ing is not great.
Review 8:Location is great, the restaurant is the best in town I think. Handsome waiter still waited us well on close time.
Review 9:The rooms, while clean, are getting a bit dated. Everyone in our group of four also found the beds to be uncomfortably hard.
Review 10:Situated just inside the fortified walls of the city of San Marino, the Hotel Cesare is perfectly situated for exploring the citadel on foot. Although the hotel has no parking, there are numerous safe reasonably priced public parking areas within easy walking distance. The Restaurant Cesare which is mentioned in the Michelin Guide is the anchor for the hotel and we found the food and service to be exceptional.
Review 11:The restaurant is fantastic. It is worth booking a stay here just for that alone. The room is very nice and being in the historical centre of San Marino it is a short walk to everything.
Review 12:For not that new a hotel, the price was a little steep. Only got a street view room too for my room rate. We got a discount voucher for the hotel's restaurant but the meal prices were extravagant to start off with. Didn't like the steps down to reception after entrance.
Review 13:Staff very helpful & courteous. Good wi fi signal.Close proximity to historic sights & the public car park.
Review 14:Our bathroom was not spotless on arrival and the shower was tiny. Our air conditioning didn't work and the staff we dealt with on check-out didn't seem to care.
Review 15:This is a lovely hotel in a great location with a really fabulous restaurant. Our room as compact but had everything we needed.
Review 16:The room was a bit claustrophobic. Need more advanced information about where to park.
Review 17:Area was lovely and staff were very helpful with regard to my husband neeeding gluten free food. Nice terrace to sit on.
Review 18:Rather hard beds and pilles. The breakfast is not a four star hotel worthy.
Review 19:The hotel lays perfect for visits in the old part of San Marino. Close to parking no. 6, it is tough to carry luguage because the Streets are vers steep.
Review 20:The staff we excellent, the location is wonderful with parking very affordable and secure. It's at the inside entrance to San marino gates where you can walk everywhere. We had to leave early in the morning and they even prepared a breakfast and lunch for us to take while travelling in the car. If you going to San Marino which I highly recommend do ur self a favour and stay here at the hotel cesare !!
Review 21:the room was quite small. superior double room is not worth to pay extra.
Review 22:the location-inside the center. the restaurant in the hotel(for dinner) was very good but breakfast was just ok
Review 23:Hotel is right inside the walls. Short walk to subsidized parking. Nice open air restaurant. Smaller functional room. Excellent value for the money. Would definitely stay again without hesitation.
Review 24:Pillows - lumpy and thin. A strange gap in an otherwise wonderful stay.
Review 25:Location, access to the public parking, corner room with a wonderful pair of views of San Marino. A wonderful restaurant.
Review 26:There was nothing we were not entirely satisfied with.
Review 27:This hotel Cesarean has a great feel about it and we felt entirely 'at home'. Staff are so friendly and helpful, starting the day with the breakfast lady and any other staff contact throughout our stay. Loved the freshness and excellence of the food.
Review 28:No complaints at all.
Review 29:The room was awesome and had the best view I have ever had in a hotel room. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious.
Review 30:The room I booked on-line was not what I was given but management was nice about discounting my room rate to make up for the smaller room given the hotel was fully booked. Parking was in a lot nearby but I had to wait until a spot opened up as it's very popular with tourists.
Review 31:Location and views were great. The staff were quite friendly.
Review 32:- It was expensive for what it offered - Small room - Someone tried to walk into our room while we were sleeping by 10pm - The sink's drain didn't work properly - Unhelpful receptionist
Review 33:- Great restaurant - Excellent breakfast - Good Location - Really sympathetic staff in the restaurant
Review 34:Our room was tiny. There was almost no place for 2 people + two small bags, because bed took 3/4 of the available place in the room. The hotel is good if you stay 1-2 nights only.
Review 35:The location is really great! Hotel is located at the entrance to Historical City Center of San Marino. The car parking is very close to the hotel.
Review 36:Really can't think of anything that was wrong with our experience.
Review 37:They gave us cards that reduced the entrance cost to the 2 Towers and 3 other museums. Wish we'd booked a longer stay. Love this little city on a hill. They also offered a reduction on a meal taken at the hotel's restaurant. We chose to use it at dinner which offered fantastic food served with great efficiency, care, and an engaging smile.
Review 38:Room was very very small. It said small double bed (130cm, which works out at 4ft 3 in which is indeed a small double) but the room itself was extremely small and we would not have had room to put our 2 suitcases in as well. We left them in the car overnight on recommendation of the receptionist. This room - 302 - is apparently normally sold as a single unless they are very booked. If you are small people with little luggage it may be suitable for you!
Review 39:Location excellent. Parking very difficult but to be fair it was boxing day.
Review 40:Not 4 Star level because: a) No bath robes in rooms; b) Breakfast quite small selection. The Hotel Restaurant also is very average, nothing really spectacular. A guy was frying shrimps and other stuff right in the center of the grill of the restaurant and the smell was too strong...
Review 41:Located in the very heart of old San Marino.
Review 42:An uplift now needed, mattresses could be also changed, breakfast's croissants need improvement
Review 43:Spectacular view, good standard, well restructered probably 20 years ago, nice architecture, rooms on top floor outstanding
Review 44:Nothing.
Review 45:Location was great fabulous. The nearby parking area has very few spots which means you can wait for a spot or just get lucky. There are other garages. There is a parking discount so be certain to ask at the desk. Staff is very friendly and helpful with suggestions. The restaurant was closed during our stay but there was a very nice breakfast service. Great location on the main street with lovely views from the patios. Our room looked out on the street. Rooms are very modern and updated with cabinets, desk and lots of outlets, USB and lighting. Bathroom was quite roomy.
Review 46:our bathroom had a very damp smell, the breakfast was not very impressive and the restaurant was closed for holidays(one of the reasons for choosing the hotel)
Review 47:The location and cost were the main attractions.
Review 48:The bed was far to firm for me and the room was small but with tremendous views.
Review 49:Generally almost everything I liked although the restaurant and bar were closed. Which was a bit of a disappointment. Very quiet, well located directly with the walls of San Marino.
Review 50:Very little to do in this tiny country after the hordes return to Rimini (and the shops cater to that special taste), but well worth the visit
Review 51:The views from the room were breathtaking
Review 52:beds were pretty solid! our friends said the same. the lift was a bit noisy.
Review 53:location was great, near the car park easy to find.views were great, if you don't get a room with one, they have nice patio balcony area for viewing and a glass of wine! staff were really helpful, we even used their reception computer to confirm our return flights!
Review 54:Parking is always difficult and may have to wait for a space if you want to be close to the hotel.
Review 55:This is a lovely hilltop building with great views. The rooms are very comfortable. The restaurant is expensive but good quality and worth it in the location.
Review 56:TV hanging from the ceiling, very hard for the neck. Parking 8 euros per day. We only found out once at the hotel that they give out parking tickets for 4 euros once in the hotel. too late.
Review 57:Well situated, caring staff, clean room, quiet. Excellent restaurant
Review 58:Room and bath were small, but perfectly adequate. The room had a lovely terrace with a great view. The hotel restaurant is outstanding! The staff was very helpful.
Review 59:Breakfast is very limited, and rationed at a low level... Not pleasant. Internet inaccessible. Not the good remote for TV. Problem with the parking. (although it was prepaid, another car had been rent the same space while we were dining!) Globally: not pleasant.
Review 60:Stayed in single room and although room size was good the shower cubicle was very small and the mattress very firm!! Didn't spoil my visit though.
Review 61:+ Location in historic centre + Staff were very helpful
Review 62:Amazing views of San Marino from room. Great location at the top of the mountain right next to historical sites in pedestrian-only zone only but near enough for convenient parking.
Review 63:The very small room,I couldn't think that a four star hotel cold have a so small room without bedside furniture.
Review 64:The hotel was nice, staff very nice, the view from the hall beutifull ,rich breakfast.the bathroom with windows.
Review 65:One of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever tried to sleep on.
Review 66:View from our deluxe double was incredible overlooking the town and the mountains from high up. The location was great, next to car park 6, but right inside the pedestrian area. Staff is friendly, and we both really liked the restaurant.
Review 67:Thin walls, you can hear normal conversations in the adjacent rooms), decor is outdated, bathrooms need upgrades...
Review 68:location, parking, most of the staff were very nice
Review 69:Excellent location for stay in San Marino. Parking place nearby hotel for reasonable price. Comfortable room with very nice view. Good food.
Review 70:Reception staff could have been more friendly.
Review 71:Location, location, location!
Review 72:Helpful staff - great location - good breakfast!
Review 73:Rooms small and slight musty smell.
Review 74:Location is handy for car park nearby, and is in heart of the town.
Review 75:Some outside noise if you stay street side but nothing to put us off staying again
Review 76:Location, friendly and helpful staff, great restaurant
Review 77:No power sockets in the bedroom
Review 78:Noise from street.
Review 79:Restaurant and location
Review 80:Room 305 had no WIFI. Had to move to room 306. 306 also has full bath tub, 305 36"x36" stall.
Review 81:Awesome location. Room 306 had amazing views.
Review 82:The view was incredible and so easy to walk around with that as a starting point
Review 83:Location
Review 84:San Marino does appear to be lacking in top accomodation but the hotel was comfortable
Review 85:Well situated, roomy, clean, friendly staff.
Review 86:The views from the room were spectacular, the restaurant was excellent.
Review 87:Fantastic location. Clean and tidy. Drive to carpark 6 then go and get parking ticket from hotel reception.
Review 88:Location, restaurant, parking nearby
Review 89:Small bathroom/shower Bed pillows
Review 90:Location Restaurant Staff Ambiance
Review 91:None.

Review 95:Amazing view on the second floor of the hotel. Superlative location.
Review 96:Friendly owners. Great location.

Review 98:NOTHING
Review 99:EVERYTHING

Review 101:I loved the hotel! Beautiful, quiet and the best location in all of San Marino!
Review 102:not convenient if you don't drive
Review 103:situated in the old town near shops which open until almost midnight n museums n castles
Review 104:Very close to party area. Music till midnight.
Review 105:Excellent generally.
Review 106:Perfect location. Fabulous food in the restaurant :-)
Review 107:Restaurant bit expensive
Review 108:The location is perfect close to the towers and parking. Staff very helpful
Review 109:Fantastic location to venture out to see the stunning beauty of San Marino old town. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff.
Review 110:Small shower
Review 111:Location Breakfast
Review 112:Hard bed, poor wifi reception
Review 113:Staff, view, restaurant, location, decor
Review 114:Restaurant prices.
Review 115:Location close to car park.
Review 116:The view is faboulos. The restaurant is beautiful.
Review 117:This hotel and its staff is absoluely wonderful. Perfect location inside the walls of this amazing town, carpark #6 close by. Great breakfast and an excellent restaurant. Highly recommended.
Review 118:The breakfast could be a little better - there were not so much choices available when having the breakfast in the late morning.
Review 119:Nice location in the heart of the San Marino, nearby all sights. Big rooms, but shower was very very small. Parking places P6 and P7 are nearby the hotel, if you need a parking place for the car. The restaurant, Ristorante Cesare, is very good having good a la carte menu and great selection of wines
Review 120:The room was tiny. There was only room for 1 suitcase so we had to crawl over the bed. Also, the room was too warm. We could not sleep unless the window was open. However, we overlooked the main street and, when traffic was allowed during the night, it was very loud. Trash pickup and then deliveries made impossible to sleep much of the night. The bathroom had nowhere to set anything.
Review 121:The location was fantastic. It is inside the town walls and we were able to park in a lot just steps from the hotel. With all the hills, that is important! Breakfast was good.
Review 122:If you need to leave early morning make sure you tell staff the night before otherwise you will be locked in and have to find staff to let you out.
Review 123:Being right in san marino was a great experience. Especially after all the tourist groups had left. The food at the hotel was superb. Good Advice on what to see and were to go.
Review 124:Excellent location inside the old town, very friendly staff, parking was nearby and inexpensive, breakfast was good. We had a superior double room and the view from the room was great.
