Review 1：The road from the hotel to the main restaurant and bar area is quite narrow which made walking back and forth from the hotel a bit of a nightmare as there is very little pathway and in places no path at all.

Review 2：The rooms are a nice size with a small balcony. The swimming pool although in the shade most of the day is refreshing for a swim and a good size. Definitely not a four star hotel but a slightly above average three star.

Review 5：I really enjoyed my stay here - it is a little pricier than I usually stay at but felt it was good value for money. The room was lovely and immaculate with thoughtful inclusions to help you enjoy your time at the beach/away from the hotel too. It is not right on the beach but is no more than a 5-10min walk from 2 beaches and shops/amenities.

Review 6：It needs a facelift. Staff not amazing. 2.5-star service. Breakfast very sad. I left after the first night to stay at another place as it was just pretty dingy. They did offer me another room but all the rooms are just old looking and dingy. The sofa in the room was a nice sofa it had stains on it - yuk! and bathroom tiles are no longer bright looking plus the shower gel smells horrible.

Review 12：The reservation seems to be a bit of a problem. I booked a room on the same day at 19:30 and arrived for check-in at around 23:00. The receptionist greeted me nicely. However, they could not find the booking at first and we were told that because reservation department finished working at 17:00 and so I have to email the itinerary to the hotel on the spot, thanks to today's mobile internet. In contrasts, the way reservation works in this hotel in this case made me feel that last minute reservation has become my problem in 2015. When the receptionist felt he was given a task, the attitude changed. The facial expression and the cross-leg posture displayed just put me off. My stay was good, but I wasn't impressed from the start.

Breakfast could have been better, suggest more varieties in hot food. And better signage to explain food contents, sometimes the signs get switched, so not so great for people who eats halal.

Review 22：Hotel's theme being marine, so their decoration is pretty. Hotel room is nice and comfortable, even has a balcony for one to sit out and relax at night. Location is good if you rent at least a motorbike to travel up north or south to various beaches. Or else Kata beach is walkable. Staff are friendly and nice. Complimentary mini bar, fantastic.

The design of hotel building and rooms is very nice. Breakfast is very good, every day something new, wide choice of european and tai food, fresh fruits. All room windows are oriented to north and sun doesn't heat during the day. There are beach mats and towels in each room.

Review 67：We booked the hotel for the night of 31st. the next day we go for a day tour to Krabi, the hotel staff help us with: Early check-out, store our luggage during the day, when we return at 7 pm they give us towels and shower gel, they give us access to shower rooms so we can take a shower after the tour, they help us calling a taxi to the airport... what else you nedd, everything was perfect. Sunisa and the staff are the best.

Kata Beach, while a very nice spot, but the tourists are predominantly Russian. Other nationalities may feel very much in the minority.

Review 74：- During check in we were given a room on the 3rd floor with a view right to an opposite private house, so it was impossible to open the curtains because of constant presence of some people in this house. When we asked to change the room to the one with a better view, they said that all rooms are sold out and nothing is free (but Booking.com showed that it wasn't truth). We were promised to get a new one, and really were relocated to a better room. Unfortunately, only after 2 days of stay, but not instantly- probably, this hotel is overpriced a little - staff didn't look sincere (like they do not really like to see you there), artificial smiles - no free transfer to airport - general minus of the place (not the hotel): MUCH more Russians than Thais as well as tourists from other countries, which didn't allow a feeling that you are abroad. A lot indians trying to speaking Russian to you with th only purpose - to push some stuff to you. Very dirty beaches and a lot of people (Russians) - very crowdy, no seclusion at all. During our stay the sea was never calm, very big waves and cloudy weather, sometimes rain. Very expensive tuk-tuks with arrogant tuk-tukers. After stays at Ao Nang and Phi-Phi, the stay at Kata beach and Phuket generally was a total dissapointment. If you want to get to know Thailand - Phuket is a wrong place.

Review 75：- Very stylish, everything is considered (all small things)- quite new - illumination of the pool in the night time looks gorgeous - tasty and varied breakfasts; everyday change of serving, pleasing to the eye serving - not very far from Kata noi and Kata beaches - everyday quality room cleaning - staff took into account our non-satisfaction with the room view and kindly changed it to a bette room after 2 days of stay - not noisy AC (as opposed to ACs in other hotels, it was much better to sleep) - fitness room (very good feature) - car park for rented cars/motor bikes - not bad wi fi, free mini bar (everyday refill)

But even then Sugar Marina Resort - Nautical Nautical wasthe best and the most friendly place we stayed during our whole journeyto the South-East Asia.Jedyny poważny mankament to zapach stęchlizny w pokoju, którego nie dało się pozbyć przez cały pobyt pomimo całodniowego wietrzenia. Wilgoć wyczuwalna była w całym skrzydłe hotelu, przynajmniej na I piętrze. Sądząc po wyglądzie dolnej części ścian na korytarzu – hotelu ma poważny problem z wilgocią. Gdyby nie to, ogólna ocena byłaby najwyższa. Ale i tak był to najlepszy i najbardziej przyjazny hotel z całego naszego pobytu w kilku krajach Azji. No i ci głośni Ruscy.

Review 79：Sugar Marina Nautical is perfectly situated far away from the trafficnoise, in the quiet vicinity but as well as very close (less than 5 min.Walk) to Kata Beach and the beginning of a promenade. The hotel staffwas excellent and very accommodating but not intrusive like it oftenhappens in Thailand. There were no communication problems in Englishwith the personnel. Stylish interior design, everything in the hotel iskept in the nautical style (decorations in rooms and passageways likerope railings, paddles hanging on walls, marine knots etc.). There is alift, quite handy not only when carrying a heavy luggage but also aftera return from the beach or excursions. Very clean, spacious and tidyrooms with a big bathroom quite open from 1 side – but don’t worry thereis a possibility to cover it up by wooden blinds. The room we stayed inhad very comfortable and wide beds (w/ clean and nice bed linen), afridge with complimentary beverages replenished every day (2 bottles ofwater, 1 can of Singha beer and 1 cola, a candy bar), useful safe,essential a/c and less important tv set. There is free Wi-Fi insidethe building but with an irritating necessity to log-in to the networkevery time. Quite big balcony with 2 armchairs and a small table – westayed in a quiet room on the 2nd floor with a pool view. Daily roomcleanup, towels exchange and supply of hand wash and body gel. In awardrobe there were bathrobes and flip-flops. What a shame but we wereusing flip-flops going to the beach and in the hotel during our wholestay. Separate towels for the pool usage. Swimming pool itself of enoughsize offers clean water, deckchairs, sun umbrellas and interestingillumination at night. Next to the pool is a mini-gym with cardio andother equipment, underused due to other attractions on Kata Beach and inthe area. Very tasty breakfasts with varied European and Asian dishes.

Review 80：- The hotel is between both Kata beach and Kata Noi beach. The location is at a little walk away from the main Kata beach strip. - The hotel is well designed and thoughtfully decorated with nautical theme. - The room (pool view) was spacious, very clean and quiet. - The Wifi was excellent as was the free mini bar. - The breakfast has multiple choices: Thai food but also international one. A lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. - The staff was really nice! They were really helpful.

Review 81：Most staff could not speak English well and it was hard to be understood. With the exception of 1/2 staff, work still needs to be done on customer service aspect. Overall, staff didn't seem too happy. Noise from the road, and especially people dragging chairs across floors above you will be jarring you from your sleep.
