Review 1：The website said that they had hot tub and when we got there it "wasn't working". We were looking forward to that after skiing. Don't false advertise. Let your guests know online and be upfront about it when they arrive to check in. The price for the rooms was way too high for what you get.

Review 7：The outside is falling apart. Our balcony had nails sticking out of floor and misssing/broken rails. In desperate need of renovations.

Review 9：Happy Trails needs to make provisions for shuttle bus to come into their parking lot. This is absolutely imperative as the shuttle was the main reason for choosing this motel. Waiting at the end of the driveway on a snow bank with cars whizzing by is not safe.

Review 11：The bed was like sleeping on plywood, pillows are similar to what you would find at your grandmother's and smell the same. The place is not clean, there were dead flies on the window sills, it stinks like neglect and shame. I paid $140 on booking.com because everywhere else was asking around $300 for a night. It's doable, but embarrassing if you're traveling with friends a gf or wife.

I was curious as some of the reviews were quite bad, but I found the whole service to be exactly what I waited for, for half the price of neighbouring places. Of course nothing fancy, but that's a motel. - The hot tub is great after a day skiing - The location is perfect, 2 min from Okemo ski resort and downtown.

Review 24：We we worried about the musty smell heading into the room, but once we turned the fan on and aired out the room, the air quality improved. Carpet and flooring is older, but for us this was not an issue.
Review 25：This hotel was easily accessed from the main road, and was within a short drive to downtown restaurants, etc. The room was cleaned daily, and there was plenty of space in the room with a balcony. Free wifi, a few cable channels, fridge and coffee maker. We did not pay very much per night, so it was a good value.

Review 63：This motel needs a lot of TLC. It is very run down. Stained carpet, not sure if it was mold or paint. The ceiling tiles in the bathroom were all stained. The floor molding in the bathroom was all decayed.

Review 66：I would not recommend the Happy Trails Motel to anyone. First off, our booking.com confirmation stated that "This room features a balcony with mountain views" and we certainly did not receive this. Our room was located in the back of the building, with NO balcony or view, unless you count looking out our dirty windows (which had no window screens, btw) at the humongous puddle in the parking lot and broken down/snow covered car and motorcycles with CT license plates a view. Looking out at those abandoned vehicles was eerie - like a horror movie. Were they guests that checked in & never checked out?! Were we going to suffer the same fate?The hallways were dingy and dirty. The carpets were in dire need of a vacuuming and the walls need to be washed. The room itself was OK as far as cleanliness - but definitely had "dated" decor. The dodo bird painting over the bed was ugly enough to haunt my dreams forever. The bathroom consisted of a toilet crammed up next to a shower. It was so small that the sink and mirror weren't even IN the bathroom, but rather just outside of it (which makes no sense what-so-ever).The bed. Oh God, the bed. First off, the pillows (if you can call them that) were HORRENDOUS. They were so frumpy, like a loose bag of stuffing. The bed was by far the WORST bed we have ever slept on in our lives. If we weren't concerned about the cleanliness of the floor, we would have slept there instead. It was so hard & so uncomfortable. We couldn't sleep and were in so much pain after lying down.The heat was oppressive. We turned it down, but it kept turning on & making all these awful noises like an out-of-tune marching band. It was over 80 degrees and if I wasn't in my 30's, I'd think for certain I was going thru "the change" and experiencing hot flashes. We were forced to open the windows in the dead of winter to seek relief.

So don't expect to watch movieon your computer. The refrigerator will froze your food. We paid $357for two nights in this motel.
