Reviews for Anti̇k Beyazit Hotel
Review 1:I chose this specific hotel for two reasons: the web site promised thatall rooms had balconies and said that "at the end of the day, aguest could enjoy a drink in the lobby from their bar". Thisseparated it from other hotels in town. Imagine my surprize when theyfirst put me in an attic room with only a skylight for a window. When Irefused, they offered me a bed in a 3-bed room on the ground floor (nobalcony of course) where the windows didn't lock. And no bar! AFterI went on line to confirm my memory and asked them about thediscrepancies, I was told that the web site was "old". Iwasn't going to look for a new hotel in the middle of the afternoonin a strange town, but I felt cheated. Btw, it was the most I have everpaid for a hotel room in Turkey in five different trips and it is thefirst time this has happened to me.
Review 2:The breakfast was among the best I have had in Turkey in a lovelybalcony overlooking the lobby.
Review 3:Breakfast was just adequate. Wi-fi was weak except in the lobby. Furnishings and carpet were a bit worn. The window in our first floor room was single glazed and flimsy due to its age.
Review 4:Very convenient location in older part of Antakya. Staff was very helpful and spoke adequate English. The building has a lot of character with some very nice period details, such as original floor tiles in the room.
Review 5:The interior decoration needs to be renewed. The carpets are old and ugly, the yellow pine wood furnitures are clearly not suitable to the original building and also outdated for today. Also, the cover of the toilet was broken. It clearly needs some renovation to regain its prestige, which it deserves.
Review 6:The location was perfect, especially for our purpose of visit. We enjoyed to stay at a restorated historic building. The staff was very positive and helpful.
Review 7:Some carpets were really worn out and looked dirty. They should be changed, in particular the carpets on the stairs, because they are slippery and one can easily fall over them. Bathroom was clean but quite small, the toilet seat needed repair.
Review 8:Friendly staff (speaks English), central but quiet location (shops and very good restaurants literally next door, e.g. ANADOLU restaurant), big room, comfortable bed, cosy, old fashioned lounge with antique items like grammophone, old radio etc. The historical touch which reminds you of the 1920ies. Breakfast isn't great but ok. Altogether good value for money and I would come back.
Review 9:Delightful hotel and staff.
Review 10:Location ideal, wonderful example of a traditionally restored mansion.
Review 11:common parts, negleted ... to be refurbished
Review 12:The house, the location, the breakfast
Review 13:The lobby is like travelling through time...and the staff is nice, so are the rooms.
Review 14:The bathroom is a bit small but this is a minimal issue. I've stayed here three times and keep going back.
Review 15:Nice old building with adequate facilities, nice breakfast, great location, right off the main street. It has a decent breakfast spread and the staff are all helpful and friendly. A very good value for the money and better than the cut-and-paste big hotels. Great character, I've stayed three times and keep going back. It's in the center of almost anything you want to do in Antakya/Hatay
Review 16:The person on nt duty a bit too pushy
