Reviews for Hotel Silvana

Review 1:I really recommend this hotel. The personel is very friendly and they helped me very well with everything. I had to go early and they made a special breakfast for me, they helped me to find the right connection to Rimini (Italy) and gave me nice tips about things to do in San Marino. The food in the restaurant is really good and not expensive. In 15 minutes walk you're in the city center of San Marino. The WIFI is good and the rooms are comfortable.

Review 2:The room lacked warmth, but the manager made up for it

Review 3:The guest host was really great: extremely friendly and helpful The restaurant was good, the settings beautiful

Review 4:Bedroom lighting a bit dubious but didn't spoil the experience.

Review 5:Lovely staff who were so helpful. Food in restaurant was excellent. Car parking on site was a bonus.

Review 6:The check-in process was a joke, with a young boy on the reception desk playing a loud computer game and the hotel owner trying to talk to us above the noise and seemingly more interested in focusing on the boy. Also, for the money, the room was very small, the lighting in the room was abysmal and the shower room was barely big enough to move in. Very poor value for money.

Review 7:The location. It was c.2.2 km walk, but we knew that beforehand, and we didn't mind at all. It was easy to get to the old, historic town. The hotel has space for parking the car, which is the main reason we booked that hotel.

Review 8:No complaints at all

Review 9:Staff were very friendly and pointed out discounts and best places to go, which was great as I was there for a short stay. Walking distance to everything.

Review 10:Room was very basic and sad looking. Small and cramped. The bathroom was very small and uncomfortable. The towels were of the old Italian style resembling more a table-cloth than a towel. One would think you can get normal towels anywhere today. The bed wasn't very comfortable. The Lighting in the room was very low. The WiFi (free) was no good.

Review 11:Price and the fact that I was admitted at 01:00 (after a flight delay) without a problem. Private parking.

Review 12:The weather was locally bad, very wet, and felt like we were in a cloud so check the weather forecast if you can! Strange to have your dinner in a cave at the back of the restaurant Wi-fi reception was bad.!

Review 13:The view (after the road) was good open countryside, and it was only a half mile or so up-hill to get to the lifts which take you to the Old Town.

Review 14:Small room, tiny bathroom with no shelves, poor bedroom lighting, no wifi in room.

Review 15:Excellent bed and restaurant, personable owner and competent staff, location, on-site parking, information upon arrival, good bathroom lighting, good shower.

Review 16:noisy restaurant guests.

Review 17:the hotel is located in Murata, in about 30 minutes by walk from San Marino Old town. And about 30 minutes by walk to the tennis center of San Marino. There is a good restaurant on the ground floor.

Review 18:The hotel is in front of a busy road and it was very noisy in the night. The wifi was only reachable from the reception

Review 19:The location was central and within a walking distance to the center.

Review 20:In booking they say WiFi available at all hotel places, this is not true in the rooms is not available, and we were informed when we arrived at the hotel. The room was not clean nest of spider at the cell. The bathroom was one of the wordt I have seen and it has good smell. No good towels were provided, onmy se very thin fabrics that we prefered not to use

Review 21:The help to give us information for the city of san marino and all necessary brochure. The kind old lady Silvana that was very cute and kind. The valvoby with really good view but this balcony was also dirty.

Review 22:Small rooms, small bathroom.

Review 23:Average room and decor

Review 24:Good location, only 15 minutes walk to the old town. Off-street free parking

Review 25:Very friendly staff included Mario. Food excellent !! Thanks for everything

Review 26:Wifi

Review 27:Location,free parking

Review 28:Mario greeted us with information and passes and a room which was ready ahead of time. We had a wonderful two night stay and felt like family.

Review 29:Internet connection very bad.

Review 30:very good location.

Review 31:-

Review 32:Small and clean hotel near to the historic city center with a very friendly staff. The hotel has an excellent restaurant, it was a pleasure to having dinner there.

Review 33:Amazing restaurant! I would visit this hotel again only for the food we had for dinner! Best cook and service ever! The hotel itself is OK - clean, comfy...

Review 34:Highly recommended! We had a great stay at Hotel Silvana. The staff was very friendly, parking was onsite, and the room was very nice. Our son loved that he got to sleep in a bunk bed : ) We ate dinner at the restaurant and were very impressed. After 2.5 years of living in Italy, I can say that the special vegetarian pasta they made me was some of the best I've ever had! (and I've had a LOT of pasta) If we make it back to San Marino, we will definitely be staying here again!

Review 35:Mario is a superb host, and we were so pleased to have found his hotel and wonderful "picolo " restuarant , I think it may have been the best fish based dinner we have ever had the pleasure of enjoying .

Review 36:That we only stayed one night before driving on to Tuscany for our next few nights. The staff at the Sylvana Hotel were very friendly, and there was so much to see and do in San Marino.

Review 37:We arrived late at night after a long drive from Rome. The restaurant was open only for hotel guests, so we ate at the hotel. It was very nice not having to find a place nearby that was open late at night. Breakfast was served in a wonderful part of the dining area that was set back into the side of the mountain. We had not seen this part of the restaurant the night before. The breakfast included a delicious chocolate cream filled pastry. The walk up the mountain in the morning was fabulous. There are three towers along the mountain rim above the hotel Sylvana. Because they are on the east side, there was an absolutely fantastic view of the sunrise! The sun rising over San Marino was one of the most spectacular sunrises ever.

Review 38:Hard to find using GPS (500m error) Limited parking available - reserve ahead.

Review 39:Affordable accommodations. Clean, comfortable rooms. . Convenient restaurant in front of hotel.

Review 40:Wrong address and coordinates. Right addres is via del serrone 15. Staffspeak poor english, only owner speaks good.

Review 41:Fantastic restaurant with good prices. 10% discount for hotel guests.Location-800 m from old castle. But all way up to the hill. Veryexpensive taxi-for these 800 meters 15 euro.

Review 42:Breakfast although good was nothing to write home about. We have had better in various hotels in Italy.

Review 43:Hotel had plenty of free parking available, right next to hotel. Room was clean and quite roomy, with a beautiful view and a private balcony. Easy 20 minute walk to central San Marino. Restaurant was very good and quite unique. Overall we would rate it a 9.5 out of 10. We would definetly return for a future stay.

Review 44:We really had a very nice stay!!! Thank you very much!!!

Review 45:1. Location. Hotel is situated very close to the city center. We left our car on the hotel free parking and wend by feet to see the city. 2. Owners are very friendly! Mario gave us useful tourist tips and helped us to book a table in the most romantic corner of his restaurant (la grotta). 3. Restaurant “Piccolo”, located on the ground flow. Tasty food, attentive staff, adorable and romantic “cave”!!!

Review 46:Restaurant was very busy, fit us in, but if you want to eat, best to make a reservation.

Review 47:Great restaurant, clean good value for the money and nice staff. Wifi not that good, but we got an ADSL cable for the laptop and worked great.

Review 48:The hotel staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The restaurant food was very good. The hotel is situated within walking distance of the centre of San Marino yet at the same time in a quiet area. I particularly appreciated being given, upon arrival, an information booklet about San Marino in my own language, so I was able to maximise the use of the very brief length of my stay.

Review 49:A short walk from the village center. We received a room facing the back of the hotel so we missed out on a beautiful view from the front balcony. We had requested a quiet room, non road side, to avoid any traffic noises keeping us awake. In all honesty I am not sure if this would have been a problem. Breakfast was delicious. Dinner at il Piccolo is a MUST !

Review 50:Rooms, as other mentioned, are small. I reserved a single room and it had a double, albeit very comfortable bed, but 80 cm on the sides to the walls and 1 m on the foot side. Head was against the wall. Bathroom was equally claustrophobic. Frankly, the size of the room is the only minus side, but if you don't plan to stay for a week in San Marino, it's more than fine, specially for the price.

Review 51:Location. 10 min walk to the best of the old city and the restaurant is trouly excellent. The guy doing the pizzas brought it and made sure I was sastisfied with it. Desserts are fresh and atmosphere relaxing. Great sunset view. Marco really cares about his customers. He looked serious on my arrival but loosened up later on and we chatted quite nicely.

Review 52:Wi-Fi reception very poor in my room but better in the corridor.

Review 53:Good location a short walk from the citadel, very good attached restaurant and private parking,

Review 54:The breakfast was not very good. The foods was not fresh and with no choices in the foods.

Review 55:The stuff was friendly and nice. The hotel is a 25 walk far from the centre of San Marino. With the car you will be there in 3 minutes but you have to find parking in the public parkings of the area. The hotel had reserved parking space for us for free.

Review 56:Room was was quite small for a family of three but OK for short stays.

Review 57:Hotel Silvana was in a very good location, ideal for walking into San Marino. Staff were very friendly. Lovely reastaurant as part of the hotel. Room was very clean and had a lovely balcony with wonderful views.

Review 58:From the time we arrived, the hotel and restaurant owner, Mario and staff made us feel welcomed. We stayed for two nights to see the Historic town and the three towers. The location of the hotel is perfect for those coming by train (Rimini) and taking the bus to San Marino. The bus stop is just a few steps walk from across the Hotel. We walked to the historic town, located less than one mile. But it was a climb going to the center of town. The restaurant associated with the hotel serves excellent seafood. It is very busy with locals. Breakfast came with the room cost: usual continental breakfast. But the pastry variety was impressive.

Review 59:Staff was very helpful and friendly Food was fantastic Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere

Review 60:rooms are extremely small

Review 61:friendly and helpfull staff,

Review 62:Good location (enabling free parking for hotel guests), just a bit noisy at night.
