Review 1：Not the fault of the hotel, but the neighborhood is a little sketchy.
Review 2：Decent little place for what we paid. It's old and shows its age some, but it was clean and comfortable. Real bathtubs are always a bonus.

Review 18：.Woman behind the desk was friendly in a genuine,natural way.The room was very clean, there was a refrigerator and a microwave in the room, and the air con kept the torrid desertheat at bay. Nice, friendly, safe motel, and very economical if you book online. To make the place paradise, they need a more robust wifi signal. If you are not a computer addict and you are looking for a good economical motel, this is the place for you. There is a Starbucks in town so you get online there.
Review 19：Large cockroach crawled up behind bed on wall. Another cockroach was found behind bed. Microwave not found. Smoke alarm kept beeping like it was running out of battery. Could hear everything behind wall.

Review 21：It's $249.00 per week when you book online; however, you get it for $225.00 per week when booking at their office. I like that it has microwave, refrigerator, free cable tv, and wifi. There is no room service, but I am very neat and clean person. The room is odorless which is great because I have serious allergy. I have been to different hotels in Barstow and their rooms make my allergy awful. There are Laundromat, Dominos Pizza, Dollar General, Chevron, Rosita's Restaurant, Starlight Donut (24 hrs.) near the hotel. Furthermore it's very quiet since it's about 5 miles from the heart of the city.
Review 22：The room was sweltering, she had apologised, they keep the a/c off when the room isn't in use- however it had been 110 outside all day and the room never cooled down. The fridge was unplugged so couldn't use it. The towels were disgusting, fell apart and i had to use my own clothes to dry myself. There were bugs in the bath, the sheets on the bed were nasty- we used tshirts to cover the pillows so we could sleep on them. Bugs ran over our feet on the floor. The wifi doesn't work past room 106- therefore almost the emtire property. There is no coffee served in the lobby and the lobby was shut at 8.30 when we went to leave. Essentially everything written on booking.com is a lie.

Also, they would not let me book a second night through booking while I was a guest, because they wanted me to check out and check back in at 5pm the same day I would check out, because of the cost to them if I were to stay an extra day. If I had made 2 nights through booking.com, I would have been fine. This makes no sense! Also, no one answered the lobby door when I needed to check in. I had to call them to open the door. I would never stay at this motel due to their prejudices about single women staying at their motel. I was stranded at Barstow because my car's front axel was being replaced. I had no choice but to book a room in Barstow. I will never ever stay here. How dare they. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!
Review 27：This place is disgusting - our room stunk of smoke and stale alcohol and was absolutely filthy . We had to wipe door handles, microwave & fridge before we could touch them and we had to wear our shoes as the floor was so dirty !

Review 34：People say it is quiet? They need to check with their audiologist. Look at the map and you will see it is located near the railway tracks. Not only regular tracks but a depot, with maneuvering taking place all night. To the opposite side, you have interstate 15, and in between the tracks and the hotel there is highway 66 with trucks going by all the time. With our luck, we stayed there at the onset of the mating season for cats, so we had a nearby cat howl all night. The Wi-Fi connection can be best described as spotty. The heating system was very noisy and either you put up with it or brace up for the cold of night in winter. Last but not least, there is some manufacturing plant near by that makes some booming noise all through the night. I can best describe it as what it would sound like if you had a 1-ton walnut shell being cracked open by a giant nut cracking machine. Overall, again, you get what you pay for.

Review 36：The door didn't lock from the outside with my key, so I didn't want to leave my things in my room. I was able to lock my room from the inside though. Luckily, I had a friend coming out to see me the next morning. I felt much safer when he arrived.

Review 74：We got there for check-in at 2:20am, I had previously called asking for them to wait for us because we where going to be late (we said midnight) but due to some road construction we got there ever later, the guy he helped us was super friendly, water was really hot, and the bed was so comfortable
Review 75：The motel was in a creepy part of town. The bed linens were dirty and dingy as was the room. My wife and I slept fully clothed and would not let our bare feet touch the carpet. Just nasty. We got what we paid for. ..a lesson I learned many years ago, but somehow ignored this time around. Next time I will spring for the few extra bucks to stay someplace nice, even if it is just overnight. I was actually embarrassed that I cheaped out and felt like a real loser to my wife.

Review 77：Everything else! The owner of the place was creepy, wanted more information about me than necessary during check in, then kept asking for a tip while checking out. The place is also in the middle of nowhere in Barstow.

We read about "barbeque facilities" and came there with fresh fish expecting to cook it. When we asked guy at reception, he told us - you can cook there - and pointed at the place on the parking lot. There was no barbeque, no cheer, no nothing, just a square on the ground. Reception guy by the way behaved like we came to rob him. He didn't open a door o the reception and didn't invite us in, he just took my credit card through small window and went away, came back in a few minutes with recipe. Hope he didn't buy villa in Delhi with it. The only place to charge phone and other devices was near the sink. TV had no sound. Dirty, old room with spots on sheets and cockroaches running around. And the coolest thing of all - toilet won't flash! Guess in which moment we figured it out… Oh yes, when in was late to do anything with it.

Review 85：We made a booking of a room with micro and regrigator, but had neither in the room. The staff apologized that all of the equiped rooms were gone. We had a late check-in which may be the reason, but still - we had a booking. In the night there were some strange people walking around, knocking at our door at 3am and asking for food. This may not be the fault of the staff, but still - do not forget to lock the door.

It was filthy and run down especially on the inside, Ilooked at the bottom of my socks and they were filthy after walking onthe carpet. It was a nightmare and I had a very hard time sleepingthere. I would sleep in my car before ever staying there again. When Ichecked in they did not even have my reservation that I booked with. Ihad made a reservation to stay there again and was able to cancel it 2hours before I would have been charged for the room. The towels andwash clothes were also very bad looking. The only reason I took ashower in the morning was I had to meet a friend in Los Angles the nextmorning. What can I say more but stay at your own risk and best of luckif you do!!
