Reviews for Aazaert Hotel

Review 1:We missed airconditioning in the room, would be handy in Summer we think. Perhaps more variety of products for breakfast?

Review 2:Very good explanation of the staff at day 1. The swimming pool and breakfast were great. The list with good restaurants in the neighbourhood was also very handy (we tried the Italian restaurant) and were very satisfied. Good wifi, even in swimming pool.

Review 3:Bar area a bit soulless.

Review 4:Good quality hotel, in a good location, well furnished and maintained. Excellent breakfast. Surprisingly quiet, despite a house being demolished next door!.

Review 5:The rooms have no air-conditioning, but are above a central street and opposite a church (that uses its bells really often, and into the niight). Thus we had a choice of a really loud room (from outside) and fresh air, or a quiet room and stuffy air. (To be fair- when closed, the windows/door protect from the noise well). Our baby did not like either. The beds were rather soft to my taste, but the real problem was that the double bed consisted of two single mattresses. So we had to adjust things for the baby which slept in the middle.

Review 6:We had a junior suite, and for our purposes (traveling with a baby and a baby pram) we found the space absolutely sufficient. We had asked for a quiet room, and the staff gave us room 312 which was furthest from the elevator- this was great as we were not bothered by people coming and going. The hotel is in walking distance to the beach, pedestrian area, train station, which was both convenient and bad (see negative points). The swimming pool was small, but as it was mostly empty- it served perfectly.. The roof terrace was nice as well.

Review 7:The fitness room is quite small and not well equipped. The parking entrance was very small, we had issues to get our car in. The bar is old fashioned.

Review 10:Extremely noisy street in front of the hotel. Ze could not leave the window open due to passage of cars, busses and trucks, the whole night till early morning No airco in the room, although we had a junior suite (room 111). The standard rooms had AC ...... Next time, you should opt for a standard room, not facing the street :-)

Review 11:Friendly staff Very recent building and room Breakfast was what you should expect for a 4-star hotel

Review 12:The excellent, extremely friendly and helpful staff - notably the best we encountered of the seven different hotels we stayed at during our 11 day cycling tour of France, Belgium and Holland. Superb champagne breakfast. Nice relaxing roof terrace.

Review 13:Some bothersome noise from other rooms. Cleaning staff came at unpredictable times, no "do not disturb" sign was available. It would be nice to have a coffee machine in the room, as well as a blanket that is not too heavy for the warm weather. We were followed to the elevator and scolded by front desk staff for not closing the front door behind us. We would have preferred to have been asked nicely.

Review 14:The breakfast was excellent. Most of the staff were helpful and nice. The pool was lovely, as was the sun room on the 5th floor. Our room was spacious and pleasant.

Review 15:Te weinig zitplaatsen in de Vlaamse bar en onthaal. Niet iedereen vond een plaatsje om iets te drinken. Garage: onvoldoende plaatsen

Review 16:Bediening in restaurant: super Kamers: prima Onthaal:super

Review 17:sauna was not switched on I had to go and ask the stuff to turn it on. I was wearing a bath robe, and my hair was wet. the stuff made me wait. she picked up the phone while talking to me and make me wait for some time while just giving some basic info about the hotel on the phone.

Review 18:this place make you relax. it marvellous. its worth visiting. the spa facilities are wonderful. everything is clean, cosy and modern.

Review 19:The room was extremally cold when we arrived. It took 6 hours for the heating to make it warm. There was mold on the wall in the bathroom, which was not very pleasent, as I am allergic to mold.

Review 20:Extremally nice and helpfull staff at the reception. Very good breakfast.

Review 21:- Blankenberge is different city than De Haan, please make sure that you know the difference - there is a church next to the hotel and you can hear bells every hour. It is not a problem, but if you expect to hear sea, it is not possible, because hotel is not in a shore line - parking/garage is 200 m from the hotel

Review 22:- perfect service and staff (extremely perfect and helpful) - swimming pool, spa, sauna area - breakfast in the room - city center

Review 23:-bathroom amenities were just basic (no body lotion or shampoo, just shower gel and soap) -pool quite small and acoustic makes sounds echo. More than 4 in the pool rooms feels like Crowd -limited hours for free Sauna access: before noon and 17.00-20.00

Review 24:- very helpful and polite staff - nice and spacious room (deluxe double room) -practical bathroom for two people (two sinks, toilet with seperated door in the bathroom) -you could find anything you need in the breakfast buffet (although not big buffet or variety. but good enough) -useful to reserve parking place before your arrival at the hotel. price of parking also OK comparing local prices for parking. (although more expensive. but car is more safe)

Review 25:Wonderful stay, fantastic staff, great breakfast!

Review 26:Excellent StarckX restaurant food & service

Review 27:Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely clean and comfortable hotel. Had a good feel about it.

Review 28:free use of swimming pool & wellness, very good breakfast, very friendly staff

Review 29:Parking generally in Blankenberge is difficult, though the hotel provides it for 17 EUR per day.

Review 30:Amazing champagne breakfast

Review 31:Pool and fitness

Review 32:Very friendly staff

Review 33:Rverything

Review 34:Sauna not at right temperature Ontspanningsmassage was not good

Review 35:Room Great Breakfast

Review 36:The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was close to all amenities. The decor was bright and clean.

Review 37:The pillows were really uncomfortable for me. It has been the only not really good thing. Too thick.

Review 38:Really nice hotel.

Review 39:Being able to park right by the front door to unload the car. The hotel was at a very high standard throughout.

Review 40:Wellnes area Breakfast

Review 41:...We had to find out that the heating was not on...with 2 degrees outside they might have turned it on before our arrival!

Review 42:untidy carpet in room, even provoked rhinitis worn-out mattresses expensive

Review 43:breakfast friendly staff nice bar

Review 44:friendliness good food clean

Review 45:There was nothing to dislike

Review 46:Being given a different room as my heater in the bathroom did not work

Review 47:Awaken early by the housewives

Review 48:Wellness, bedroom, service and breakfast

Review 49:Individual room, front staff, very very limited room aesthetics

Review 50:Clean, front office, pool

Review 51:Noisy knights because of bar in front of hotel, no individual condition in the room

Review 52:Breakfast, receptionists, location of the hotel, parking

Review 53:Spa area, big room, close to the beach, very nice staff

Review 54:no A/C and because of the street noise it was difficult to sleep with the window open

Review 55:Breakfast Swimmingpool Kindness of staff

Review 56:Nothing to complain about.

Review 57:Truly great location, a few steps away from the beach and shopping area. We got a very large family room (in fact two connected rooms). Good breakfast, if a little crowded. Comfortable bar area. Small but perfectly adequate hotel pool.

Review 58:This is supposed to be a 4* hotel but it has no air conditioning, no where to get a coffee between 10pm and breakfast time, apparently facilities in the room are not the thing in Belgium, and the wi-fi does not work in room 214, the signal does not go that far !!. The room was very bland and there is only a mirror on the inside of the wardrobe door, but no plug point near so it is impossible for a lady to do her hair with straighteners. The staff were unhelpful and did not want to listen to this feedback.

Review 59:The breakfast and location were the only redeeming features

Review 60:Nothing

Review 61:The personell was very helpful & friendly, we just got a professional service! The room was very clean & comfortable. The wellness area is new and very clean. The hotel is situated ca. 250 m from the beach. TIP: The hotel has a luggage room for your baggages.

Review 62:We were really impressed by the breakfast buffet, it was huge and excellent. The staff was very accommodating and helpful and the spa was very comfortable, modern, nice and clean. the hotel is really close to the sea promenade and all sorts of shops and restaurants. Overall a wonderful stay!

Review 63:Not the hotel itself, but getting food after 21 in the city quite problematic(at least in winter). Thanks to Chinese restaurant "Panda" which works till midnight we didn't die from starvation :)

Review 64:Helpful and staff, nice free pool and sauna. Free bubbles for breakfast on St. Valentine day :)

Review 65:i loved all facilities provided at hammam, sauna, swimming pool. everything was modern and clean. breakfast is a buffet with even cava and fresh orange juice. the location is 5 min walk from the beach and from the railway station. the day we woke up after staying there, i felt like was born again. definitely recommend this place.

Review 66:Nothing. Best stay for a while.

Review 67:Great value, efficient friendly staff in what is becoming an increasingly upmarket seaside town. Yes, Blankenberg is a bit ugly but once you see past that it is good fun. I will return many times. Oh, and the buffet breakfast is brilliant.

Review 68:No small windows in room.

Review 69:Navigating the one way streets of Blankenberg is somewhat difficult, and parking around the hotel proves to be equally problematic. However, the very friendly, polite and helpful receptionist dealt with the situation very well. I would recommend parking in the hotel garage a few yards away at extra cost. The rooms are spacious clean and modern, with flat screen tv's showing several english channels. The bathrooms are excellent with separate shower cubicle. Breakfast was really good, excellent selection of cereals, breads, fruit and hot food as well as sparkling wine. Staff really on the ball with teas and coffees. Very helpful. Indoor swimming pool very nice addition. Also other nice facilities with sauna and steam room. In Belgium the rules insist nudity in saunas and steam which is agSinst our British tradition. All in all, the staff here could teach 5star hotels lessons in customer services.

Review 70:The receptionist didn't speak english at all, so she couldn't answer our questions. In our reservation we wished to have a quiet room, but we got a room between two lifts and there was a lot of noise from the corridoor and other rooms. Traffic noise also at night outside. There was also problems with the payment, the bill was higher than in our reservation. The hotel was not at all a relaxing experience.

Review 71:The breakfast room is a little bit crowded. So it creates a hectic atmoshere.

Review 72:The staff is very friendly. Hotel is well located. The room we had a junior suite was very large.

Review 73:It doesn't have its own car parking facilities and although (or perhapsbecause) parking in the area is cheap, it is very hit and miss whetherplaces are available especially when it is busy, which it often is as itis near the coast/boulevard.

Review 74:Very friendly staff, very good bed, excellent indoor pool.

Review 75:Very friendly and helpful staff, very good location. The informationprovided regarding local restaurants was excellent, and we had athoroughly enjoyable stay. Would definitely use this hotel again.

Review 76:Spa & Location

Review 77:no bikinis allowed in wellness area. expensive parking

Review 78:pool, huge family room, friendly staff

Review 79:Nothing was too much trouble, they phoned a few restaurants and booked us a table, for example.

Review 80:there is no clock on the reception, but it can be +, because you forget all the time there )))

Review 81:Everything! )

Review 82:We we re delighted with the kindness of the personnel. The room was very neat and complete.

Review 83:just a suggestion: the water of the pool was a bit cold

Review 84:it is located just one minute walk from a very beautiful beach with lots of nice seafood restaurants. and nearby parking is relatively cheap.

Review 85:Nothing.everything was good!

Review 86:The staff was very friendly!hotel is very cozy and clean!location is the best in Blankenberge.
