Reviews for Jackson Gore Inn on Okemo Mountain

Review 1:The standard room was above and beyond our expectations. We had both a fireplace and jacuzzi tub for exceptional value. Staff was very friendly upon arrival and we were very impressed with sauna, steam room, and the spa amenities offered although we were unable to take full advantage during our short stay. Already looking forward to returning in the fall! Overall, very satisfied and impressed with this hotel that we happened to stumble upon!

Review 2:I enjoyed the casual atmosphere, desk and bar personnel were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and open, very relaxing. The pool was well maintained and had a beautiful mountain view.

Review 3:Too many young children out of control in the inn. Parents had their children in the bar area taking up all the seating. Desperate parents trying to pretend they were childless diminished the ambience of the inn.

Review 4:Ski in ski out...

Review 5:the room was small and crowded, the tv was at least 10 years old- no flat screen. The bathroom faucet was industrial,. The staff at the front desk- not helpful. No free coffee in the lobby. Just not as expected for the money,

Review 6:The room was clean and comfortable but standard and lacked personality. We were hoping for the same cozy winter ambiance that we experienced in the lobby.

Review 7:The lobby and fireplace were warm, inviting and perfect and created a welcoming and cozy winter ski lodge feel.

Review 8:Farm to Table food was not very good nor fresh. And too expensive. We ate in NYC's BAM the night before-- there was no comparison with VT. Disappointed Jackson Gore offerings were not as fresh and crisp (salad) and meal lacked a gourmet taste we found in NYC. There should be "package" deal to include room, lift, ski rental, meal plan but we did not see that offered.

Review 9:good resort great storage for skis and garage for car liked putting all purchases on the room fee nice to leave the car for 2 days and ski or walk to everything.

Review 10:The resturaunt hours were very strange. The sitting bull closed at 6 and sienna wasn't open at all. But over all not all the big of a deal just made getting food more difficult

Review 11:We got an awsome first two days of snow and everything was simple from check in to check out. Checking boards was simple at arrival as well. Food was great at the tavern in the facility. And the staff was eager to help when I wanted to upgrade just before our arrival date!

Review 12:food sub-par...could not cut chef's choice steak with serrated knife..same soup offered two nights in a row..ordered hamburger medium and it was rare...over priced menu ... female server on second night of stay was sloppy...wrinkled shirt, acted as if she was doing us a favor when we were served...not a good experience ,..would not recommend your dining room

Review 13:comfortable setting

Review 14:The wait staff seemed overwhelmed at the restaurant on Sunday morning during breakfast. The meal, however was delicious and our wait wasn't bad at all.

Review 15:We arrived during the "Fall into Winter" party and it was a lot of fun. The location is spectacular, the Inn is lovely, the lodge outstanding and the staff were extremely friendly.

Review 16:called for forgotten towels & soap. delivered towels, no shampoo. room 709, finish off fixtures, stains on bed spread. 3-nights $570 / not a good deal.

Review 17:Jackson Gore is about 10 years old and showing just a bit of age. Some minor things need to be fixed or tended to.

Review 18:The overall atmosphere is relaxing. Excellent décor and accommodations. The evening fire pit is a must do when staying at Jackson Gore. Will definitely return.

Review 19:In remote building. No onsite amenities, not even a Coke machine.

Review 20:Location

Review 21:It would be nice to have breakfast included

Review 22:rooms were very small. Sometimes hard to move around in.

Review 23:All the amenities

Review 24:Restaurant service sub par

Review 25:Beautiful view, comfortable room

Review 26:The furniture was a bit dated. Older television.

Review 27:Great place in conjuction to Okemos Mountain. Tasty food. Jet tub in the bathroom..

Review 28:Restaurant was not good.

Review 29:Some staff were discourteous. Could not find coffee provided by hotel in the morning.

Review 30:Pretty location.

Review 31:Nothing! And I'm a complainer!!!!

Review 32:Everything was better than expected!

Review 33:The room itself was tiny. 2 queen beds and you coul barely walk in the unit.

Review 34:Beautiful place. Awesome pools/hot tubs. Rooms were clean and staff was very helpful.

Review 35:Our room was a little small Poor closure at 10pm weekend seemed early. I can understand people should be quiet outside but everyone was quiet so that was lame.

Review 36:Convenient to ski, helpful staff

Review 37:Not many dinner options (especially during weekdays) & food is expensive. Misunderstanding with the Snowcat Dinner - was told wine was included (twice) when I booked tickets but it wasn't & we had kids in the Penguin Daycare (which they advertised & said would have plenty of time to eat/get back) & we barely made it through dinner in time to catch the snowcat before daycare closed. Waitress was kind enough to catch driver in time to hold snowcat so we could close tab.

Review 38:Family friendly - lots to do with kids even if not skiing. Favorites were the Timber Ripper roller coaster, Waffle Cabin, & fires! Snow tubing, ice skating, kids pool area were all great as well. Friendly staff & if staying at Jackson Gore Inn, it's close proximity to all of the kid friendly activities.

Review 39:The food at the cafeteria and Siena was mediocre at best.

Review 40:proximity to slope. The staff were extremely friendly. I was especially grateful to a kind security person.

Review 41:President's week holiday pricing wass pretty steep.

Review 42:The facilities are in excellent condition. Staff was quite helpful. The pools are great for the kids. The kitchen in our unit was clean and well equipped.

Review 43:Sheets in room were dirty. Ask for house keeping to change bed and all they did was remake it. The sheets had blood on them from a previous guest! The staff at the front desk acted like we were ghosts. Rude. Not even a hello in the morning or how was your stay. Will never stay there again. Back to Sunday River.

Review 44:We have stayed there before and it is a great place - located at the base of the ski mountain. Although it is a little on the expensive side - it has a lot to offer.

Review 45:-Poor dining (average food) -Thin walls; could hear people stomping their boots on in the morning -With a Sunday 12p.m. check out, the resort should offer some type of ski discount to those who are on a time restraint, but would like to get in a few ski runs without paying full price -Remove Redtree wine from dining; it is beyond awful

Review 46:Friendly people Easy and convenient mountain-hotel location S'mores was a great addition to the dining experience

Review 47:Despite turning heat down, room was 8-10 degrees warmer than we had the heat set at so it felt stuffy while sleeping

Review 48:Nice hotel room-clean linens and clean bathroom, appeared well care for

Review 49:The free continental breakfast was the worst that I've ever seen. There was no restaurant on site for breakfast.

Review 50:The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Everything was very clean and up to date.

Review 51:I didn't know our room was going to have a Murphy bed and pull out sofa bed. Sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Otherwise, room was great.

Review 52:Great location, amenities, Adventure Park, views were beautiful. Would certainly stay here again.

Review 53:I had a big problem at the ski school

Review 54:location and convenience,, everything is so close...

Review 55:NO daily yoga

Review 56:Great location

Review 57:Restaurant was fair at best. The pullout couch was easily the worst bed I've ever slept on.

Review 58:Lovely facility with lots of amenities

Review 59:No fridge, older TV.

Review 60:The suite with the kitchen and the balcony.

Review 61:Nothing

Review 62:Mountain view

Review 63:Had very noisy people next door and poor sound insulation

Review 64:COnvenience

Review 65:First class ski experience... Even for half of the family who does not ski.
