Reviews for Entrada Lodge
Review 1:breakfast is very poor and if you select this hotel for the purpose of breakfast included, better stay somewhere else for the money you pay. The hotel feels like a hotel 6
Review 2:Location and access to the Mt Bachelor saves you 10 min of going through roundabouts
Review 3:I liked how easy it was to have a pet at the hotel. We could open our door and the dogs could walk right out onto the green grass to go to the bathroom. The property was also well kept. The staff were very friendly and helpful with directions to different venues.
Review 4:If you're looking for breakfast stay somewhere else. The "continental" here is nothing more than stale muffins, oatmeal packets and the worst coffee since my tour in Iraq. No cereal, no fruit, no juices. We drove to The Original Pancake House 3 miles into town. The a/c - heat unit is 30yrs old and sounds like a jet engine in the room. Almost impossible to sleep with it on. And the pillows are nothing more than plastic sacks filled with air and feathers and they are the most uncomfortable things to lay on. The coffee container in the room holding the sugars and creamers had dead bugs in it and hasn't been cleaned in ages. And if you ask staff for extra coffee or bath towels or t.p., expect to have to go get it yourself, they won't bring it to you. It's ridiculous.
Review 5:quiet location. a few trails to walk and bike. pets can run off leash on trails (I think? ...everyone else was anyway) The hot tub was nice also.
Review 6:A little out of the way. Dated furniture and decor. Room smelled a little bit like smoke.
Review 7:Staff was very helpful and friendly. WiFi was fast and the property was clean.
Review 8:Musty-smelling room with burn hole in bathroom vinyl flooring. Outdated carpet, furnishings. Pine needles coated the rooftop. Obviously not well-maintained. Over -all a big disappointment for the price.
Review 9:*The cleaning staff never noticed the debris on the carpet.....got vacuumed only the last night we stayed there. *Furniture is in EXTREME need of replacement/upgrade...it is VERY dated. *Although I appreciate the thought about providing a "continental breakfast", someone needs to be more creative rather than serving muffins with a shelf life of 2.4yrs on a daily basis...Fresh apples and bananas were great however so THANKS. * I had to keep my wife's attention on something else one evening while the six legged creature that was crawling on the wall got out of her line of sight....NOT Good!!!
Review 10:*location was convenient to tour in and around the Bend OR area. *hot tub was delightful after a hard day...
Review 11:Nothing bad really. You get what you pay for in Bend and Sunriver - this is a great value if you are here to head into the mountains for fun.
Review 12:If you are heading to the cascade lakes for day trips this is a great spot.
Review 13:Would have like a better breakfast, very poor continental.
Review 14:Beautiful location! Friendly, helpful staff, comfy beds. Rustic, not a sparkling new place, but I liked that.
Review 15:It's an older, basic place to stay. For us that was trumped by its location.
Review 16:Loved the rural setting, the hiking trails from your doorstep, great staff. We hiked the Deschutes River trail and loved the views!!
Review 17:the bedroom had a moldy smell and lots of nats in the room. the towels were not soft. I think its time for some new ones other than that it served its purpose
Review 18:we liked the scenery and enjoyed the pool and hiking trails
Review 19:Quaint little old school motel. Clean & Comfortable with friendly staff. Great location to the Bend River trail for hiking, jogging or biking. Really enjoyed my morning jog on this trail. Nice Pool and hot tub. Suggest adding microwaves & small refrigerators to all rooms. I requested a frig but only certain rooms have them and it was taken. Could use a few updates for the price I had to pay for a weekend night. Overall a good stay.
Review 20:First room was musty, asked for change which they gladly made. Also wasmisled by listing saying it was in Sun River. Very missleading
Review 21:Nice secluded setting.
Review 22:My room smelled like a cat box, I went to the front desk and let them know and the did nothing. The carpet is old and the air conditioner is sold loud I had to turn it off to talk on the phone.
Review 23:The surroundings are lovely
Review 24:One rude staff person tried to tell me I was trespassing without asking if I had a room there. then proceeded to tell me all about a law suit with neighbors and told me my dogs had to be on leash in the off leash area becuse Bend had a real dog bite problem.
Review 25:Room was stuffy. Window didn't open. Parking lot has some big bumps that need repaired.
Review 26:Pine trees all around. Like camping without the tent and hard ground. Nice pool and hot tub area.
Review 27:we stayed 2 nights and didn't have any maid service in that time. had to go to the front desk and get more towels
Review 28:the young man at the front desk was very helpful and showed and marked a map for us on how to get to some of the spots we wanted to go
Review 29:Our room only had the tiniest bit of toilet paper left on a roll and no replacements in the room. And there was an earthworm on our bathroom wall! Weird. Also, the fixtures in the room need updating. Cabinets and carpets are old and dingy. The showerhead worked fine but was not securely attached to the wall. A towel rod was broken. Wifi was very slow to connect on certain devices and/or certain locations in the room.
Review 30:The jacuzzi is amazing. Huge, clean, covered, and open to the outdoors so it doesn't get all humid. We loved it and it made the stay worth it. The area is beautiful and I wish we could have stayed longer to explore the property.
Review 31:Drains were backed up in bathroom sink and tub. I had to stand in water to take a shower. There was no milk for oatmeal and I was told that I could "mix it with the hot water." They didn't run out; they simply don't offer milk. Also the breakfast offering was very meager. Teeny weeny muffins, one kind of cereal (the milkless instant oatmeal) and bananas. I paid a premium to stay in this lodging and expected a facility that was better run. I really did not like standing in my own shower water.
Review 32:The room was very quiet and the staff were friendly. The setting was woodsy and pleasant.
Review 33:I couldn't find anything I didn't like
Review 34:We stayed in the king bed with a spa tub. We wer very surprised when we checked in and got into our room and it had a full sauna in the room. Very nice and peaceful 3 night stay. Staff was very nice and helpful. We were vary pleased. Definitely will go back and stay agin.
Review 35:The chairs in the room were a little grungy, and I prefer washable comforters to bedspreads. The bathroom was newly tiled and clean.
Review 36:Location! Trails connect to the national forest right from the property, very close to the Deschutes for a bike ride or a nice morning walk down to the river. It is 10 min drive to the best restaurants and brew pubs in Bend. The hot tub was also really nice, clean, and huge!
Review 37:It is aging some and is going to be time very soon for updating some rooms and furniture.
Review 38:They were the most accomodating to us, esp when the tv picture was not very clear as my husband was watching basketball game the first evening of arriving. They immediately switched us rooms. We like the location being out of town for peace and quiet yet close enough for restaurants, shopping and entertainment.
Review 39:The way the staff went out of their way to correct a minor problem, but to me it was a big deal, I based my stay on information and amenities, and they solved it in the end.
Review 40:not 1.6 miles from Bend; previous occupant's clothing left in drawers; fold out bed not made up for use; staff tried to get us to pay additional $10 for a room with 2 queen beds when that is what i thought i had booked then when we argued told us our booked room had a fold out couch. this info was not apparent on the booking web site.
Review 41:pool and hot tub were nice, clean and warm. pretty location. quiet
Review 42:Furniture needs updating. Room was heavily deodorized, had to air it out. Breakfast all sweets, no protein..suggest hard boiled eggs, cereal and milk.
Review 43:Location. Pool. Staff. We had a great visit in Bend. Entrada was quite adequate to enjoy the sites and activities of the area. I would stay again.
Review 44:we as a family really enjoyed the outside pool facility staff members had ideas for us when we asked about surrounding restaurants & had menus to show us which was excellent.
Review 45:The room did not have either the fridge or microwave described. Also, the breakfast was pretty dismal, however, we chose this hotel for the location and not the breakfast.
Review 46:Immaculate and well maintained, quaint hotel exactly where we wanted to be. Very attentive staff. The front desk wasn't very busy and so the clerk was seated on a couch and each time I walked in, he literally jumped up to attend to me. (On round 3 I did end up telling him to just stay put and that I needed no attention.)
Review 47:Continental breakfast was poor. Store bought muffins looked mushy and unhealthy. Hot chocolate was not available. Hard boiled eggs and bacon or sausage would be incentive to stay again without breakfast upgrades will not be returning.
Review 48:Liked the setting. The pool was inviting. Staff was friendly.
Review 49:The breakfast was something you could pick up at the grocery store. So the convenience was the only good thing about it. The room was very dated. The price did not reflect the modest accommodation.
Review 50:More like a cabin in the woods. No fridge, no microwave. The front plate was falling off the front of the AC unit. The controls didn't work. No screens in window so you were forced to use AC which sounded like a vacuum cleaner. Breakfast, cold cereal! Location too far out.
Review 51:The room could use an update. Sink had chips, bath fixtures were difficult to operate, the clean-up crew didnt complete their job, which in fairness was probably because we arrived early...the towels were a bit worn....But these are really minor in light of the rest of our stay.
Review 52:Location, convenience to our friends room, ability to park the boat, room comfort...
Review 53:I would find out customers aprox leave time and place those who leave early ie: 5:30am by themselves or with others who also want to be woken up at the same time. Way too early. Also, I would have liked a clock.
Review 54:Overall the Lodge was nice. It was a Throwback to motel rooms of day gone by.
Review 55:This place had everything we needed. We go to Bend every year for some mountain biking. The location was fantastic as there is great riding from right out the front door. Nothing we needed was more than ten minutes away. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool after a day of riding. Great value for the price.
Review 56:I didn't have much choice for lodging and had to take what I could get. The prices were higher here because of hotel availability in Bend. However, it was not clean. When I looked behind the nightstand (looking for an outlet to plug in my phone) there were dead worms on the floor. The door would not lock firmly it rattled and there was no safety lock. One side of it was broken. The breakfast served was less than adequate. I spend a lot of time in hotels traveling with my teens for sports and this is the least amount of food I have seen. We went out for breakfast.
Review 57:They had a room available. We were in Bend for a baseball game at the Vince Genna Stadium.
Review 58:Pretty run down room although it was clean it had a musty odor and about half the light fixtures did not work. Breakfast was bad.
Review 59:Location next to National Forest was great. Relatively inexpensive compared to other Bend hotels.
Review 60:The breakfast could have been better. Not so much of the "sweet" stuff but more cereal with milk. A waffle maker would have been nice.
Review 61:The enviroment and the uniqueness of the lodge. I felt completely comfortable there.
Review 62:Room smelled like mould, facilities in dire need of upgrade and repairs. Linens and carpets old and worn. Use of chemical sprays to mask odors in room. Very old wall unit air conditioner installed under bathroom sink, hate to imagine the last time the filters were changed. No screens on windows should you choose to air out the room.
Review 63:The location is excellent for biking and walking trails. Nice grounds.
Review 64:Room was dirty when we arrived. Staff didn't know what to do and didn't offer to help/clean or give discount. Only said sorry. Place was a dump! Never staying here again
Review 65:Beds were too firm. Lack of outlets in room. Curtains made room too dark. No light weight privacy curtains. No clock in room. Continental breakfast was very disappointing. Options were lacking, coffee very watery, nothing stocked at 9am and trash was overflowing to the counter. Some simple healthy additions would improve such as boiled eggs, wheat or grain toast, cold cereal.
Review 66:The location near hiking paths and lots of trees.
Review 67:The room smelled and was dirty. I dont think the bed sheets were clean. The bathroom smelled like urine. If other hotels hadnt been booked and I wasnt so exhausted upon arrival I would mever have stayed there!
Review 68:The rooms are outdated but clean - but I did find a spider in the bed. Housekeeping appeared to have come to our room but they didn't make our bed or give us clean towels. We paid $119 for the room -- definitely not worth the price. They did give us a $30 refund based on our complaints but we won't go back.
Review 69:The bed was not comfortable. The room need to be updated, everything there is old. There was a stained dark spot on the couch .
Review 70:I like the location , it was close to everything that we wanted to do.
Review 71:We had some kind of critter (my guess is a rat) that we heard scratching all night in the attic. We told the person that worked there and he didn't seen to care much. The breakfast was a joke. If I owned the hotel, I would have been embarrassed to offer it. There were packets of oatmeal. When we asked for milk, we were told to just mix it with hot water. The room was fairly clean other than a lot of dust and dead flies on the window sill. The room smelled. There was no screen on the window so you couldn't even open the window to let it air out. Bed was very hard.
Review 72:The location was ok. Kind of out of the way. If you are into biking, it was very convenient to bike trails. There was an outdoor pool that was small but nice.
Review 73:Breakfast
Review 74:Breakfast is just carbs, muffins
Review 75:Refrigerators were not turned on. Lost a quantity of food by assuming (reasonably) that they were on when we arrived.
Review 76:location
Review 77:Place is a little dated but fine for the price
Review 78:Loved the trail system right outside the lodge. Hotel staff very friendly
Review 79:windows no screens, room door would not ever shut correcly, felt unsafe all night
Review 80:lovely setting
Review 81:The amenities were a little dated
Review 82:Pool and spa were great! Staff was super nice
Review 83:Continental breakfast was very sparse. Bed was wobbly.
Review 84:Past its prime. Moldy smell. Might have been better in the 60's.
Review 85:Location.
Review 86:Noa at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I appreciated him taking the time to give detailed directions and suggestions for our visit.
Review 87:Location (went to Bend to mountain bike and had trailheads right there), close to town and Mill District, price for room on busy weekend, quiet.
Review 88:Staff was very freindly. Location was amazing. We found the grounds to be very kept and our room to be cozy!
Review 89:bed was uncomfortable and the breakfast wasn't. Apples, bananas and mini muffins.
Review 90:Great location and friendly staff
Review 91:not enough breakfast choices.
Review 92:Very old motel, and loud. Thus, we checked out early.
Review 93:Convenient, easy to find and comfortable.
Review 94:A/C unit didn't work. Hard to sleep in the hot room. Bathroom door was busted up and would not shut correctly.
Review 95:The pool and hot tub.
Review 96:Bed was a little uncomfortable.
Review 97:Beautiful location. Enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. Charming breakfast area with games and books.
Review 98:Breakfast was awful. Freeze dried oatmeal, and absolutely no bread at all. It cannot be called breakfast.
Review 99:Nice pool and the coffee was good.
Review 100:the bathroom had cobwebs and I moved tv cabinet to get to a plug in and found a bunch of dead worms under it.
Review 101:It was cozy and quiet.
Review 102:Very basic for price. Needs upgrade.
Review 103:It was quiet.
Review 104:The rooms had a lot of dead bugs in the bathroom and window seal.
Review 105:Lovely setting, tall trees, far enough from the city to allow full appreciation of the high desert fragrant air. Wonderful!
Review 106:small room, but comfortable
Review 107:Beautiful landscaping, mature trees, relaxing atmoshere, friendly staff
Review 108:Very noisy aircondition
Review 109:Indoor hot tub was closed. Bed was VERY uncomfortable.
Review 110:Secluded but close to town. Beautiful area.
Review 111:Hot Tub jets didn't work as normal
Review 112:Trail on the grounds
Review 113:My husband thought the bed was hard. There was a gap around the door, let cold air in, had to have the heater up to 80 to be warm.
Review 114:The room was rather dusty with a number of cobwebs in doorways and on lamp shades.
Review 115:Really convient to Mt. Bachelor and town.
Review 116:There was nothing I didn't like.
Review 117:I loved the scenery, also the lodge, great coffee. Room was very comfortable.
Review 118:Perfect place to stay if you search good services with reasonable prices. Spacious rooms, correct breakfast, next to the downtown and the outdoors.
Review 119:No internet in the room. Poor breakfast. This was rated three star, but it is really a two star motel.
Review 120:Lovely setting. Decent room.
Review 121:Beautiful setting
Review 122:Can't think of any negatives
Review 123:Quiet, close to trails dog friendly
