Reviews for WaterColor Inn & Resort

Review 1:Wasn't really bad but ordered a $45 bottle of French wine (lived in France 29 yrs). husband tasted and said okay, but as we started drinking it, wasn't right. We pour out similar Bottles. Told waiter only 3rd bottle ever sent back. Ordered a different one-was fine. The waiter never mentioned anything about the other wine. Asked if tried and said too busy. Felt uncomfortable and wished he would have told us something. It was ignored and we decided to drop it But felt like we could have at least received an apology. It was Christmas Eve and we were having a $75 each menu +.

Review 2:Loved our room & view (think we were upgraded), the way hotel laid out, the restaurant, and lots of shops around, plus lots of activities offered. Unfortunately, it rained the whole time we were there, even foggy, and couldn't even use the pool area.

Review 3:They were refurbishing a room right next to ours which was noisy during the day. Property beginning to show wear.

Review 4:The staff was over the top! Location is great. Beautiful area.

Review 5:Very pricey even for an upscale hotel considering that dunes block the view of the gulf.

Review 6:We we able to extend out check-out time. The restaurant food and staff were amazing!

Review 7:Resort fee high when we didn't use any amenities- we arrived in evening and left in morning - just an overnight stop on our road trip

Review 8:Restaurant was excellent

Review 9:We went for our night of and night after our wedding. We did not know it was so child but it was a holiday weekend so not mad about that. We did however have a really tough time at the hotel sushi bar restaurant. We were really excited to see there was live music and a real close and nice restaurant down stairs. The wait staff is where the issue was. We waited to be greeted by our waiter for over 30 minutes. We then waited for our saki for over 30 minutes and actually got our appetizers before we got our drinks. it just seemed like no one there was focused and no one was helping except the young blonde busboy.

Review 10:We loved the location and the front desk staff and bellman. 10.0 for this rating

Review 11:We've travelled to Watercolor Inn multiple times and this time things just seemed a little off , mainly with housekeeping and the cleanliness of the room .

Review 12:I love the location and the food was excellent

Review 13:Only downside was the shower in the room - water pressure was not good and could not get a comfortable water temperature. Also the toilet location had the door opening inward so it was hard to get in and out. Balcony not quite as private as it could have been.

Review 14:Friendly, helpful staff and convenient to everything. Comfortable room.

Review 15:The bed wasn't very comfortable. There were numerous chemical stains on the carpet in the hallway.

Review 16:Wonderful location. The level of helpfulness and friendliness of the staff was one of the best we've encountered.

Review 17:Really geared to families, not couples. Beach too crowded and overrun with children Beach set up is for the entire Watercolor community, so chairs not always available for hotel guests Water pressure was poor and Double headed shower didnt work. We were told it was designed that way. Why have double heads if you can't use them at rhe same time? Bedside reading lites and closet lites didnt work. At this price point, expect these things to be in working order.

Review 18:Convenient location Room was nicely appointed Liked the library

Review 19:We really liked everything, except it would have been nice to have a more inexpensive place to eat for breakfast. Overall, there needs to be a few more restaurants (in different price ranges) to eat at.

Review 20:The quiet exclusive surroundings. The friendly staff. Our room was wonderful because they upgraded us- why I don't know.

Review 21:There was nothing I didn't like it was a wonderful resort.

Review 22:The staff and service was outstanding during my entire stay. The food and drinks were very good for the money,

Review 23:Resort is nice and very expensive, expect to pay $70 for 3 people at buffet & $100 for 3 people at lunch. Walls needed painting & carpet needs replacement at the resort. Rent a home. Overall fun for the family, staff was excellent.

Review 24:Excellent location, walking distanace to restaurants, shops, beach. Will be returning again each summer.

Review 25:first waiter at beach club we encountered was very rude and young boys out with umbrella rental patrol were as rude and snobby as they could be about "those umbrellas were rented over a year in advance" like we were some kind of riff raff

Review 26:Location was excellent, most of staff was excellent, room was very nice for a beach property, nice breakfast with a great view in the Fish Out of Water restaurant

Review 27:the only bad thing I have to say was there was a bazillion beach chair rentals and umbrellas and we never could rent one! They were always gone and when we took our beach own beach chairs down by the water's edge, we were talked to very disrespectfully and told we would have to take our beach chairs way down the beach! So we told him if we could rented water color chairs we would have done so!! So based on that experience, don't know if I would go down there again!

Review 28:The lack of privacy on the balcony.

Review 29:We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and the staff at the front desk was very welcoming and accommodating! We arrived early and they were able to get us checked in and on the beach to start our vacation we will be back

Review 30:Tried calling 1 1/2 hours BEFORE arriving to confirm our stay and couldn't get through to anyone!!!! That was my first impression- very disappointed:(

Review 31:The quietness

Review 32:The walls were thin and we could hear conversations and arguments of the couple next door.

Review 33:The staff was extremely accommodating and the rooms were lovely.

Review 34:The staff and other guests seem to be walking around in a daze. Also, the staff was unable to assist us in moving to a higher room with oceanview although that was indicated in the booking. People are like robots!

Review 35:The location and facilities are excellent. The music was good at thepool.

Review 36:Housekeeping walked into the room once without knocking, mid morning.

Review 37:Day of check out, having access to the pool and women's changing room with shower. Covered parking.

Review 38:No wet bar. Beach way too crowded. I wanted to secure my bikes for my entire stay but had to to bring them in and out during my stay. The room was very expensive and I still can't figure out why except for maybe location? The room was modest-not over the top when you pay $600 a night. I could have rented a house for that much. We reserved beach chairs but at the cost and the location we got we decided to take our own chairs to the beach and even then we had to walk a long way to find a spot.

Review 39:It's a beautiful hotel in the heart of my favorite beach in the world "Scenic 30A." The room was comfortable, had a fabulous view and the shower was delightful. Free bikes. Sushi bar and "Fish Out Of Water" restaurant were excellent. Adult pool and lounge area was beautiful. Water and tea stations a nice touch. Free DVD library was a nice touch. Wine World across the street was fun. Could walk to Seaside

Review 40:Expensive

Review 41:I loved the room, staff very friendly, nice gym, beach was beautiful. I thought the beach would be secluded based on the image portrayed on the web cite and inn being 60 rooms. The beach was very crowded. Really no different than going to Destin and staying at one of the large resorts. My wife and I did enjoy the accommodations very much.

Review 42:Room was very nice. Concierge dinner reservations were very helpful and excellent dining experience.

Review 43:I liked how efficient the staff was when I needed something. I liked the layout of the rooms. And the food was very good.

Review 44:Veiw of the ocean

Review 45:Personal southern charm & delicious cookies for turn down

Review 46:No hot tubs

Review 47:Location was excellent. Staff was great. We had a stunning view of the NYE Panama City Beach fireworks from our balcony. A great surprise!

Review 48:accommodations, ocean view, activities close by, staff

Review 49:Nothing

Review 50:Loved our stay so much we stayed an additional day

Review 51:The cost of hotel, restaurant and bars.

Review 52:Cleanliness and beauty of the facilities, town and beach.

Review 53:Not being able to see the beach

Review 54:The room and the location

Review 55:Carpets in halls, stairways need replacing in many places

Review 56:Red tide

Review 57:The furnishing of the rooms ate very good. Roomservice was great. Delicious breakfast. Bikes Gratis wifi

Review 58:Room was clean and comfortable. View was beautiful. Turn down service was a nice touch.

Review 59:awesome location, awesome service, everything you need

Review 60:Fantastic hotel. The staff was highly attentive and the location is beautiful!

Review 61:Noisy weddings

Review 62:No shuttle to the air port

Review 63:Justbawesome

Review 64:The front desk was prudish and doesn't accomadate our early check when he said he could.

Review 65:Staff and hotel are as advertised! Awesome place!

Review 66:Great venue

Review 67:Everything

Review 68:Cost

Review 69:Amenities

Review 70:Staff A little slow in Gathering Place

Review 71:Everything else great!

Review 72:Nothing! It was all great!!

Review 73:The shower, the view, the food, the amenities, the staff, everything!

Review 74:Poor service at the beach. Towels had holes in them and chairs were old and broken

Review 75:Great location

Review 76:Service was immature, beach chair situation was outrageously bad.

Review 77:Location is the only plus

Review 78:This resort has a lot to offer for kids and young families. The pools are fantastic and the beaches are beautiful!!

Review 79:Staff was undertrained. Lots of waiting

Review 80:Great location.

Review 81:Mattress cover wadded up. Prefer room not above pool. Need a cheaper smaller breakfast choice

Review 82:I like clean bright room with good view

Review 83:view of water large balconey

Review 84:Inability to upgrade beach chair location

Review 85:Biking, kayaking, Yolo boards, kids' camp arts and crafts, excellent dining, pristine beach

Review 86:I liked the shower in the room!

Review 87:Insufficient restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Also, No microwave in the room to heat food.

Review 88:The facility and setting was excellent.

Review 89:Room bait and switch

Review 90:Location Restaurants

Review 91:Ocean view Beach set rentals Fish out of water breakfast and dinner - awesome!

Review 92:Thought the maid service was not very thorough. We stayed 3 nights and our room and floors were never vacuumed nor swept. Quite sandy.

Review 93:The view of the beach and the comfort of the room furnishings was great. Room service and resort food were excellent.

Review 94:Loved my room on the first floor with the patio extension. The high ceilings luxury linens and toiletries were very nice. The food at all of the restaurants were delicious! the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We will definitely be back!

Review 95:When I booked the room @booking.com I selected this hotel because of the ideal location and was prepared to pay its rather high price because it gave the impression that it was a rather small hotel (60 rooms). The latter information was misleading, as the hotel proved to be part of a huge impersonal resort with several 'rules', which takes almost a day to find your way around and to get familiar with all its rules. This is very inconvenient, especially if you are on a roundtrip and only can stay for one night (to have a 'relax-day' in-between), and hence it was not worth the high price + resort fee as this way you do not get the opportunity to make use of the facilities for which you are paying.

Review 96:The accomodation and location was great. Very good restaurant with friendly staff (Fish out of the water).

Review 97:Nice property directly on the beach, fourth floor views the best.Helpful staff and service, nightly turn down service. Seperate adult andcommunity pools. Walking distance (or bike ride) to shops.

Review 98:I had 2 rooms on the ground floor - they were just ordinary. The cost was$425 + $51 tax + $33.60 recurring for actrivities. (Per room) I wouldexpect as lot better for that price.

Review 99:The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The "Fish out ofWater" restaurant was excellent!

Review 100:Chairs is dining area sit too low and very difficult to eat your foodhunched over, we moved tables. Had a great waiter in terms offriendliness for breakfast, but food came out in shifts andwife's meal was cold by the time I received my meal which wasjust eggs, potatoes and toast. Toast when it came was cold and sowere my eggs, potatoes were burnt. Staff apologized, but would haveexpected more since I really paid a premium for cold food and slowservice from the kitchen.

Review 101:Loved the location and the room was very nicely laid out with greatview of ocean. Enjoyed the front desk staff and responsiveness of thevalet service.

Review 102:This may have been one of the worst places I have ever stayed. Roomservice staff messed up the 3 times I used room service. The carpet wasdirty with terrible stains. I didn't like the furniture and there werenot enough drawers for my clothes. I always take a bath and when I askedwas told there were no bathtubs in the inn. There were no doors on thebathroom, just a cotton curtain, Watercolor Inn was recommended to me asa very nice place to stay for a wedding, I thought it was terrible.

Review 103:We loved the hotel. That's the good part. Now for the other: arrivedsunday nite after a long and arduous drive. Decided on room servicedinner. That was a serious mistake. I have stayed at 5 star hotelsaround the world and I assure you that meal (the only one we had whilethere for obvious reasons) was as bad a room service dinner as I haveever had . pathertic, in a word. I could have done better with a hotplate and a bottle of ketchup!

Review 104:Generally the attention of the staff in bar/restaurant was not great. Not bad enough to complain about, but noticeable.

Review 105:Very well kept, modern, close to ocean, hot tub, HH. Friendly staff.

Review 106:Honestly I was expecting more. For this time of year the rooms are wayoverpriced. You are paying for the location, but in the off-season,there are houses in Seaside on the beach for almost the same money. Thehotel is showing its age a little. The bar and public meeting spaces arevery average. I've been in nicer Hampton inns... That don't charge $10for a margarita. Certainly not the level I was expecting for the price.

Review 107:The rooms are nice and the location is good. The staff is stellar. Ourroom was comfortable and well appointed.

Review 108:Beautiful location for this small inn

Review 109:Bad reservation system and amateur front desk staff. It was the day after Christmas and regular staff may have been off.

Review 110:Location and views.

Review 111:too big, too expansive

Review 112:The place on the beach

Review 113:Traveling on 30A east of WaterColor

Review 114:Location on 30A

Review 115:Loved everything

Review 116:From the very beginning the staff was so friendly. The accommodations, view and food were awesome!

Review 117:View

Review 118:Activities were there for kids, but hotel more for couples.
