Reviews for Best Western Desert Villa Inn
Review 1:If you're a light sleeper, you might need to use the provided earplugs because the hotel is inside a triangle of rail and automotive traffic. To me, it's oddly soothing!
Review 2:Great staff, comfortable stay!
Review 3:Nothing, really.
Review 4:Stayed here twice last week, and both times booked online. The front desk people are great; friendly and communicative, not overly chatty, very efficient. The rooms I had, one at ground level, the other upstairs, were very similar and updated identically. Clean and comfortable. They even supply earplugs for guests sensitive to train and highway noise.
Review 5:Toilets to low in bathroom. Hard to get up and down on. Need hand rail for us older tall folks to use. Please fix
Review 6:Clean, friendly staff, fast check in. decent breakfast. easy access off and on highway to hotel. We stayed here as our half way point home to the central coast. Good stopping point. Excellent Italian food at the firehouse restaurant down the road.
Review 7:Absolutely overpriced, 120$ for that room is absurd, ..super small and creepy bathroom, smelly room (due to air conditioner I guess) weird blankets. Disappointed.
Review 8:The breakfast was good
Review 9:All good!!!
Review 10:We have stay at this Best Western a few times and it is one of the great ones. The people make the difference. Patty and Hope at the front dest are great. All the personnel are outgoing and friendly.Good food near by check at the front desk.

Review 12:Large room, very quit, I would stop here again.
Review 13:Stayed two separate times in two weeks. On the second week, the room was very dusty like the surfaces had not been cleaned in a while.
Review 14:Easy access and friendly staff
Review 15:It was difficult to go in and out of the driveway. Hard to see to the left.

Review 21:Clean, quiet for Barstow!
Review 22:Location is good if you're travelling long distance and need an overnight stay. Short driving distance to restaurants and shops.
Review 23:Train noise bad.. Barking Dogs. Door opener did not work. Poor breakfast omlets were like card board. Value was poor
Review 24:Avvailability
Review 25:I found a dead cockroach under the heater on the floor. Bottom of the tall lamp was broken and crumbled.
Review 26:Size of room, spa tub and over all good.
Review 27:Check in very nice
Review 28:Cockroaches, dim bathroom lighting, no wash basin for after using the toilet except to go into main room, needs completely updating

Review 38:Rooms needed updating, as well as bedding.
Review 39:Staff was great!
Review 40:Location was a huge downside. Would not stay there again due to traffic and train noise all night.

Review 42:large clean room with big screen TV excellent wifi very clean. The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows.

Review 46:Many flys in the room
Review 47:Quiet room althought there are 2 big roads and the railway nearby

Review 50:Nothing
Review 51:Clean, quiet. Close to the freeway. All facilities worked well. Breakfast was good.
Review 52:No fridge, or MW in room.
Review 53:Predictable comfort.
Review 54:Noisy
Review 55:Convenient
Review 56:Room surfaces were very dusty like the room hadn't been used for a few days.
Review 57:Location,staff
Review 58:Staff was very accommodating to our needs.
Review 59:Nice, good value, although a little noisy (they do, however provide ear plugs).
Review 60:Breakfast was less good than some other hotels we used on our tour. There was a mix up about the booking in the first place but the staff found it, after a search.
Review 61:Very convenient, simple hotel/motel
Review 62:We thought it was a bit pricy. However, the one thing that almost ruined the entire stay was the curtains in the room. It was already a hot evening and while the air conditioning worked fine, it would blow under the curtains and then shut off without cooling down the room. Finally, I found some of my traveling items that would hold the curtains down so the air could actually cool the room off. It worked out fine, but it could have been miserable.
Review 63:We were extremely impressed with the location next to the freeway, the very friendly and helpful staff, the cleanliness and comfort of the room, and the quality of the free breakfast.
Review 64:towels - old & dingy. Not white
Review 65:Bed - comfortable Big TV - 40 inch Refrigerator Microwave Pillows -fluffly Sheets - clean & crisp Laundry facility - conveinent
Review 66:Comfortable bed; very clean bathtub; efficient staff; flat screen TV; the sound of trains in the night; security cameras and brightly lit parking area; variety of breakfast items.
Review 67:It was located across from train (but most of the hotels off I-40 are next to the tracks) and there were many RVs in the parking lot, so it was a bit noisy. But they supply all rooms w/ ear plugs.
Review 68:Very clean and comfortable. Had my pet with me and the fee was nominal; they didn't give me a room with crappy carpet to accommodate the pet. Free breakfast was hot, if uninspired. Staff was nice.
Review 69:I don't like staying in Barstow anymore this is our 3rd stay here and this time a man ran into the road and we almost hit him. this will definitely be our last time here, the city has gone downhill and in this regard I feel the hotel is my impression of Barstow
Review 70:The pool is nice
Review 71:Extremely noisy. Trains run all night. Guests very noisy. Dark and dingy in room. Appeared to be ancient and not as clean as one would hope for.
Review 72:The staff was nice.
Review 73:It was clean and the staff was friendly. The parking lot was small for moving vehicles and it was located right next to a train route. At night the neighborhood felt sketchy because of the run down trailer park at the end of the parking lot. Desparately tired, I was heartbroken to see the complimentary ear plugs because it was obvious by the passing trains that it would be noisy. With that said, I had a great night sleep, the noise didn't impact us, and my friend was able to do her laundry. It was much better than I had anticipated.
Review 74:The sink and the coffee area were combined in the room.
Review 75:The location was good between LA and the Grand Canyon. The swimming pool was very nice. The breakfast was good. The staff were helpful especially for recommending (with a list) nearby restaurants and getting 10% off and we went to Domingos and a decent meal.
Review 76:When we returned from breakfast the bedding had been stripped and towels removed. it would have been nice to wait for these actions until we checked out, which we did well ahead of schedule.
Review 77:Staff; Booking.Com reservation was not sent to location/office; but staff agreed to price and gave us a room upgrade. Breakfast was complete with many options - all fresh and resupplied.
Review 78:location was right next to the freeway so truck noise was prominent all night. Even with the AC fan running. Also there must have been train tracks nearby as we heard train horns also.
Review 79:rooms smelled like dirty feet. 70's decor banged up and chipped furniture hard beds very cheap looking for the price we spent on two rooms Smell was terrible I should have brought my cat with his litter box and it would have smelled better Cheap bedding and pillows Breakfast should be until noon, check out time
