Review 3：Great hotel and the staff was excellent. They were so welcoming to make sure it was home away from home! From the front desk, maintenance, kitchen and housekeeping they were all top notch!

Review 8：Staff was mediocre. We were charged for pet without being told when we entered to register. In other hotels the minute you register you are given directions for pets and charges that apply. We fully paid upon departure and a month later we still have a "hold" of $250 on our credit card. In addition we were charged 2 separate charges of $150 something in our credit card. Called to fix situation and nobody could take care of the problem and were told to call following day. Called next day and were told that hotel needed to research problem. That took a day. One charge was taken off and we had to wait 2 extra days for the other charge to be removed...plus a few more calls. We reserved the biggest suite they had , but it was not comfortable. The closet was a hole in the wall. Difficult to access right by the sink in bathroom. If my husband was shaving....I could not access my clothes. The kitchenette facility was inappropriate. It was more a bar...small sink, small fridge, and a small coffee machine with poor selection and quantities of coffee, cream, sugar and tea. No microwave . There was no chair, just a couch in a stark set up. Breakfast was simple but had different options and selections of cereals, breads, some fruits, yogurts. On weekends sausages and eggs are served. ..

Review 10：Spacious room but not well thought out: 1.closet too small stuck in a corner of the bathroom ...super uncomfortable to reach clothes. 2.Toilet and shower space too small At the left hand side of the room as you enter, there is a dead space that could have been used for closet space, and the area assigned now for closet space should have been added to the bathroom. 3.No comfortable chair...just a couch. 4.Kitchenette was poorly labeled...its a small sink and small fridge. 5.Never told of surcharge for pets. Charged when we left....should be told as you arrive when checking in

Review 16：The only think I would change about any Hyatt Place is what I see as a basic design issue. When you are traveling in a group where one person may need to get ready before others and you hope not to disturb them...the bathroom set up makes that impossible. Having the vanity/mirror/sink set up outside the main bathroom means the harsh lights have to be on while you're trying to get ready and others are sleeping. I resolve this by getting ready in the kitchenette so that helps. So many travel with their kids who are in athletic competitions and wake up/get ready times are staggered. Giving anyone a few more minutes to sleep while others get ready is a wonderful benefit. Other than that...the Hyatt Place set up is super.

Review 17：This Hyatt Place was like many others we've stayed in - clean, efficient with spacious rooms and a very courteous staff. We even received a written "thank you" after leaving a small tip for those who cleaned our room.

Review 18：The bathroom is tiny. The toilet and shower are in the bathroom. The sink is in the bedroom area just outside the bathroom. You have to stop inside and then get behind the door in order to have enough room to close it. When you get out of the tub, there is barely any room to stand to dry off. The bed linens are more hospital quality than hotel quality.

Review 20：A good 1/3 of the guest parking was taken up and made unavailable by being converted to a construction materials staging area for the current renovation. Parking was completely full and not a single spot available after about 9pm, we were forced to park in a fire-zone in front of the check-in area. While the hotel staff said it was ok, I would be concerned about the city code enforcement having a problem with people parking in fire zones overnight. Construction staging areas should not be taking up 1/3 of the available guest parking.

Review 21：Centrally located in Lakeland, not more than about 10 minutes drive from most anything in you need in the city and about 5 minutes drive from the nearest highway (I-4). Complimentary breakfast was quite good although were weren't thrilled with their chosen brand of coffee. Rooms were clean.

Review 27：We stayed at this hotel for a week while my grandfather was in the nearby hospital. The staff was very accommodating to our needs, especially Colin. They went above and beyond to try and make our difficult situation a little easier. Unfortunately my grandfather passed away the day we were to check out, Colin even gave me a shoulder to cry on. The entire staff signed a sympathy card and gave us a little treat. Such class acts!

Review 28：I wish I had been informed of renovations prior to reserving this hotel. The only reason this hotel did not get a higher score (at the time of stay) was because it was undergoing a major renovation on the other half of the hotel that affected the air quality inside the hotel (dry wall dust was everywhere even though there were plastic screens to minimize it on our floor) and the elevators seemed to have a mind of their own during our stay (sometimes the doors would not close or move, etc.)

They insisted on a card on file but promised not to use it so we gave them on that we knew did not have enough for the entire stay. They lied and tried to use the card. When it did not work they locked us out of our room. At this point they finally agreed to take our cash to pay for the room.

Review 46：This hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff is amazing. They did everything to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. They were wonderful with our children and even offered to move us rooms due to a wedding party that was going to be loud at night. We will always stay and recommend this to our friends.

Review 58：Staff were inattentive, room had to be changed within an hour of arriving as the bathroom door became locked and we could not access the bathroom - apparently they knew about this. We ordered hot food, the phone in the room did not work, consequently the food was cold when we finally get ( I had to go to the front desk to enquire where it was ). If you can find an alternative Hotel in Lakeland - use it.

Review 59：I had heard about these amazing breakfast sandwiches they have. They were no where to be found during our breakfast time. Maybe it's just a weekend thing? The breakfast ended-up being the usual hotel fare. The water here smelled and tasted bad. As a result, the coffee tasted bad too. I don't think it's just the hotel, I imagine it's that way throughout the city.
