Review 1：Rooms are a little dated esp for the price. But with that said I don't think its a resort that you need to spend much time in your room,only for sleep. Stay in the Andaman Wing as the views are spectacular so it offsets the older decor.

Review 2：Paradise especially for families with young children. Feels safe, easy to get around and perfect beach location. Friendly staff, reasonable priced restaurants and cheap drinks. Great kids club, kids menu and pools. Great for the elderly too. Easy access to shops, restaurants and taxis for exploring more of the island. But you can easily choose to never leave the resort. We will def be back.

Review 3：The amazing service of two superb people. Please make sure their bosses know that: Apichaya/waitress at the fish restaurant and Tanit/Supervisor also at the same restaurant. They made each night we spent there and elsewhere in the hotel memorable with their spark and energy.

Review 4：The facilities were excellent, the staff were professional and the food was fabulous and over abundant. Many activities on premises if one did not want to leave. Organising day trips was very easy and taken care of by staff.

Review 5：The price was a bit high for the total value. The interior of the room was nice but not great for the price. There were some ants inside our room. There could have been more amenities offered at the beach (like umbrellas).

Review 6：Very good beach that was on the property. Excellent breakfast. Nice swimming pools (try the banana colada from the poolside bar). It was nice to have an on-site hair salon and other amenities like multiple convenience stores inside the hotel.

Review 9：The beach was wonderful. Took the day tour to phi phi island and was so overcrowded with people, mostly tourist, so was glad the beach in front of the hotel was superior. Food in the restaurants was great, a bit on the expensive side for Thailand I think but we enjoyed it. Overall would definitely recommend.

Review 10：I cant believe they charge me extra cost because I have one 8 years old son with me. They said that the room only for 2 adults so they will charge me because I bring 1 child with me, and the receiptionist said it with unfriendly face. Never got this bad experience before

Review 15：This hotel is not for singles! The guest mix was half newlyweds and the other half was young families with a few grandparents mixed in. I was in my room by 8:00 reading and then asleep. Will try to find a location that caters more towards single travelers while still maintaining a high level of amenities and services.

Review 17：The taxi service, they dont let you go with another taxi or tuktuk taxi . There is a taxi gang waiting in front of the hotel. We took a tuk tuk taxi in front of the hotel and the bold guy from the taxi gang came and took us down from our taxi. And the hotel door service was there and they do nothing. We had to walk a bit and after we passed the hotel we took another taxi.

Review 18：The location is great Katanoi beach is the best beach in Phuket. The hotel is clean. Fabulous ocean view. Back garden is very beautiful.

Review 23：No sun loungers on the beach as the hotel doesn't have permission to do this, all sun loungers were covered with towels by 0830 but hardly anybody was actually using them until later on. The wall above the bed was crawling with tiny bugs which the staff did come and vacuum at my request but the next day they were back again. The room was so damp that the floor was wet like something was leaking and they don't use fabric softener for the bedsheets so not a nice place to sleep.

Review 37：The hotel overbooked our room and offered us an upgrade but that room was in a bad location which nobody wanted. They kept us going back and forth to look at other rooms and we were tired from a long trip. The process took an hour to locate a room. Front desk staff was too slow and unprofessional in dealing with the issue. We requested to talk to the manager but did not show up. The location is far from other more vibrant locations. We had to take a taxi every time and if you order it from the hotel it would be even more expensive. Will never stay in the hotel again.

Review 38：The breakfast is good. the nightly buffet is less desirable. Food is Cold. It's hard to tell if cold food is any good. You will have to go out to get good food which is to bad because if they had good food you would never have to leave the resort.

I've come to Thailand 2x a year, Kata beach one of the nicest white sandy beach in Phuket. Water is crystal clear. The resort with 6 different pools but we've only manage to go to 2 of them. Must stay in junior suit not the Delux room. The hotel is excellent with friendly helpful staff, great location with nice restaurant outside the hotel. Don't really need to rent a car. Massage and shopping near by

However they offer and good value for money all inclusive package, that none of the staff knew and we had to bargain every day and teach the staff of bars and restaurants what was it and how it worked ( so annoying when you pay 2500BHT per pers/per day as a treat to yourself ). We also had to bargain the final settlement at the check out, when they tried to charge us 5800Baht on top of 10000BHT of packages. We managed... But hard time !

Review 76：The rooms were so damp that after 3 days we insisted on a dehumidifier, and thereafter collected over two gallons of water a day from the room! We asked for some rice to put our phones in to help to dry them out, as they stopped working- they charged us US$10.00 for the rice- we told them to keep it- disgusting. The location is only a mile from Kata but it is at the bottom of a steep hill so unsafe to walk along the road (especially the way they drive) to get a taxi or tuk tuk it was 200 baht each way each time which is hugely expensive for Thailand. The hotel should lay on a shuttle as they know what is going on and allowing their guests to be ripped off!

Review 77：Arrived after 7 hrs in transit,resort and room on check in WOW,ready for a cold drink from the mini bar!!nothing in the fridge,not even a cold water,mini bar via mini mart on site,closes at 7 pm dam 7 pm now.so that relax first drink not happening,venture back out to family mart down the street, 20 mins later can relax and enjoy now.our room had a musty smell to it,not sure if just the time of year,but was in another room at the other end of resort and no smell

Review 80：Katathani is the best holiday hotel we’ve ever stayed in. It covers a beach about 850 metres long.There are a range of restaurants and swimming pools and the staff are very friendly and helpful We stayed in the cheapest ‘Bhuri ‘rooms ( 32m2) which are separated from the main Bhuri wing. There is a small (15 metre) pool This wing is popular with Chinese visitors and might better be called the ‘Chinese’ wing. We were there in the low season (June) and the pool was usable but in the high season I think it would be crowded. Far better value, for just a few pounds more, are the larger rooms in the main Bhuri complex. They are faced by a really nice swimming pool and jacuzzi. The hotel runs a variety of activities every day, most of which are free- yoga, walks etc, as well as paid activities like learning Thai cooking. The restaurants serve excellent food at fairly high prices and the few local restaurants just outside are fairly pricey too. Because the hotel complex is situated at the far end of Phuket, getting to other places requires transport which is famously expensive in Phuket. This is the only disadvantage. If you want a really good place to relax,either as a couple or with kids, this is really a good choice. One final comment, don’t bother to go to Coral Island, it’s a misnomer, no coral, all gone , no fish to see and you are forced to sit on a beach for 3 hours surrounded by hordes of others, better and cheaper to stay in the hotel

When I asked if I could move closer to my friends I was told no. But when my friends wanted to move away from a noisy construction section there seemed to be plenty of room for them to move.

If you want to book a tour try to negociate te price in front of the hotel or go in katha center theire are more open to negociate (very easy).

Review 111：Phuket and also Kata is nowadays way to overdeveloped and there's too much of everything, people, noise, traffic etc. You'd rather go on one of the other islands that haven't been completely destroyed by tourism yet. Too expensive for what you get, also applies to the hotel restaurants. Staff seems to be somewhat arrogant at times and lacks the courtesy of many other places no matter how many stars they have.

Review 122：cab from airport to hotel was 900 bht, when I asked the hotel for a cab back they said 1600bht. Then they tried the taxi rank at the door which was 1500bht. I said no so they called a meter cab which was 850bht. I would recommend only using the hotel for sleeping and free items. Everything chargeable is ridiculously over priced when there are restaurants and shops literally next to the hotel

Review 128：Not really a 5 star resort. More like 4 star in a 5 star location. Rooms smelt very musty and mouldy, first room so bad we had to change rooms. They claimed it was 'normal'. Food was ok, not great, but overpriced. Water wouldn't stay same temperature in shower. Also had to get up at 7am to reserve a sun lounger with a towel if wanted any chance of getting a good lounger location.
