Reviews for Bend Riverside Inn & Suites

Review 1:The parking spaces are narrow.

Review 2:The room was VERY clean! It is easy to find! The view from the riverside is AMAZING in the Winter!!! The staff were VERY friendly. We REALLY enjoyed our stay!!

Review 3:The bathroom fan in the room below mine ran the entire night and was VERY loud. I spoke to the front desk staff who was willing to turn it off, but could not leave her station due to lack of coverage. It was a long loud restless night.

Review 4:good location, clean and comfortable.

Review 5:1) Broken front door 2) Alarm started "chirping " at 3am. Absolutely nobody at the front desk to assist. Help line after hours was disconnected!!! I had a 7am meeting!!! 3) Paper thin walls!!! Noisy people in room next door!!! 4) broken furniture * After relaying my horrifying experience to front desk day shift worker the following morning, without saying a word, she refunded my money. I appreciated that.

Review 6:Bed was comfortable

Review 7:Only one very small trash can in the bathroom. They were having difficulty with the TV cable-staff was nonchalant when we called to ask about the problem.

Review 8:The inn is within walking distance to downtown. It is also adjacent to a very nice park.

Review 9:The location is outstanding! Surrounded by the Deschutes River and a wonderful park and walking path. The pool was great, the rooms very nice. Could not be more pleased. A treasure in Bend

Review 10:Decor was outdated but square-foot age and cleanliness prevailed. Third floor walk-up didn't bother us, but might hinder some. Overall good value and nice setting.

Review 11:We stayed in adjoining room 230 & 231. The oversize balcony and river view were peaceful and relaxing. Gated entrance and location next to public park and close to old Mill district was nice. Great shower pressure in 231.

Review 12:The room was dingy and slightly wet. The mattress was very old and sunk in the middle. The sheets were thread bare and the blankets worn.

Review 13:Grounds were beautiful with a lovely walking path in front of the motel.

Review 14:Not a nice place. Not a good bed, very out dated, and not worth the money even with the view of the river.

Review 15:Location and balcony overlooking the river. That's why I spent more on the room

Review 16:The room was MUSTY! We slept with the window wide open to get rid of the combo of musty and smelly air freshener. The bed was rock hard. And there was a place where there seemed to be a hole in the floor under the carpet. It seems weird that they would have fancy electronic keys and a timed fan in the bathroom, but not make basic updates for cleanliness and comfort.

Review 17:The location was perfect. Right next to the river and some lovely parks and less than a 10 minute walk to downtown. Front desk folks were very nice and efficient.

Review 18:Unfortunately, the hotel is worn, showing a lack of maintenance and personal care. I felt like we were staying in an old highway motel, but for far more money. It was all okay, but I felt for the money, we should have seen more care.

Review 19:Not only were we right on the river, but the old downtown was a short walk. We came for the beer, food, and a bit of nature, which was all wrapped up in a nice and private package. Felt good to be able to return to a comfortable room by the river.

Review 20:Everything was old and in need of some TLC. Some staff were pleasant...others not so much. Free breakfast, but no breakfast room, had to carry our cereal across the parking lot to our room.

Review 21:Close to downtown and highways. Free breakfast. Rooms were nice sized with a dull kitchen.

Review 22:The kitchen set up was ok. A few more items would have been helpful, but it had the basics.

Review 23:We reserved a queen suite with a kitchen. Our first room was great, but there was a loud barking dog next door with no owner inside. The dog never stopped barking. The attendant at the desk gave us a new room immediately!

Review 24:Dirty, pull out sofa had a mattress topper as a matter (one of those foam ones), no hot water, wireless at speeds of old dial up, upper balcony had an A/C unit that poured water onto our balcony and we could not use it, carpet ripped everywhere, regular bed was an old murphy bed. Decor out of the 70s. Smelly.

Review 25:That I was able to leave early. No refund, but I threw in the towel and came home.

Review 26:Some rooms are better than others. The one we had was not one of the nicer rooms but we were fine with it since we weren't there much anyway

Review 27:Location to downtown

Review 28:Antiquated, 1 room smelled damp and old, 1room had dirty pillow

Review 29:Location, comfortable, accommodated our big group of 13 on 2 suites which was great. Great price. Indoor Jacuzzi and pool

Review 30:What's not to like, your in Bend!

Review 31:Great views in the back units and easy to sleep with the sound from the dammed Deschutes right there! Suites have the essentials and a good TV and Wi-Fi. Not the Hilton but I think it's the best deal in town.

Review 32:We stayed four nights and really enjoyed overlooking the river and having easy access to the paved river pathway and adjacent Pioneer Park. We also liked having a full kitchen so we could fix our own breakfasts and dinners. (This was a 28-day driving trip and we got tired of eating out.)

Review 33:The place seems to be getting a bit run down/neglected, especially for the price we paid; nothing posted in the room re: check-out time, and not much in the room about local eateries and such. Murphy bed pulled out of the wall made the corner look like a remodeling job was in progress.

Review 34:View was pretty good and it's close to downtown.

Review 35:My favorite place to stay in Bend.

Review 36:Near the River and close to downtown. Free parking.

Review 37:no hairdryer in the unit; breakfast was very minimal.

Review 38:being able to hear and see the river from the balcony

Review 39:Could hear the conversations of the people next door

Review 40:Location

Review 41:Old shabby decor, floors and facilities.

Review 42:View from the window was lovely.

Review 43:The simple room was very bare bones and not described in the advertisments as such.

Review 44:The advertising did not show what you got for a basic queen, very basic .

Review 45:The river view and sound.

Review 46:shower did not work, had to make up the hide-a-bed, was not a breakfast…was a poor qualitycontinental breakfast located in the office.

Review 47:location

Review 48:Noisy neighbors

Review 49:Loved the location!

Review 50:The river view was nice.

Review 51:No outside trash cans anywhere

Review 52:Nice location next to park for walking our dog

Review 53:Quite

Review 54:The WiFi was very very slow, could not use it. No fridge, microwave, iron out hair dryer in the room.

Review 55:The location was excellent.

Review 56:Older furniture, funny odor near entrance

Review 57:Price and location were good. Very nice view of Bend River, dam and fish ladder

Review 58:Filthy bed, dirty bathroom, no fridge in our room. Overpriced! For $120 I expected more than a shack!! Not worth the price!!!

Review 59:Close to downtown and a good launch spot for your adventures in Bend.

Review 60:Great view of the river, and easy access to a nice walking path.

Review 61:Staff wasn't very friendly. They need to update the guest book in the room .

Review 62:Outdated everything

Review 63:Great spot on the river

Review 64:Hotel has no elevator

Review 65:Hotel prices in Bend were very high, this hotel had better pricing.

Review 66:Location. Spacious rooms with wonderful amenities.

Review 67:Good location next to the river.

Review 68:Our bed that was a bed in the wall. Tacky

Review 69:The location. The river behind we loved. The trail we loved

Review 70:Old style hotel. Do not stay in rooms facing parking lot.

Review 71:Clean

Review 72:No elevator, squeaky floor

Review 73:Deshuttes River

Review 74:The sound and sight of the river, and easy walk into town

Review 75:Outdated but the views make up for it

Review 76:Location and full kitchen

Review 77:We had a room right on the river, & the Breakfast was great. A first class

Review 78:Heat pump on balcony kept us up all night

Review 79:View close to nice walk

Review 80:The closeness to the river with a nice walk way.

Review 81:poor lighting in room

Review 82:room was clean

Review 83:Dated, drab, smelled odd; like masking something not so fresh. Price was decent but too high for what you get.

Review 84:The jacuzzi jets didn't work

Review 85:I liked the fireplace & view of the river. Just a short walk to downtown

Review 86:Staff was acceptable but not outgoing

Review 87:River view and privacy

Review 88:Quality of bed linen and blankets was poor

Review 89:View

Review 90:We loved being within walking distance of downtown. Having the river just outside our room was a real plus.

Review 91:Rude housekeeper, communication between staff did not occur. Requested late check out, night clerk said yes. Day staff did not know, maid came in room while I was on the toilet, because her record showed us out. We also have a dog that was with us who is very protective and I intervened so their was no issue. Hard when your holding your pants up! When I checked out, clerk and housekeeper were huffy and not customer friendly.

Review 92:The setting is lovely. We have stayed at the Riverside over the past 10 years. Our recent experience was not good. We will not be returning.

Review 93:The bed seemed like it could use a new mattress, there was a small but noticeble slump toward the center.

Review 94:Walking distance to downtown, river-view from our balcony, very spacious room with full kitchen, very clean. Didn't use the pool but it looked very clean. The property is well landscaped. Staff was friendly.

Review 95:The girl charged us $119 when we checked in, rather than the pricequoted on booking.com of $109. I was glad I noticed. She said their ratehad just gone up that same week but it would not be a problem to give itto us at the lower price. It made me wonder if we were really gettingany reduced/ better rate through booking.com (which I had thoughtwas the idea of using the site)

Review 96:The location was the best from any of the choices for being walkingdistance to downtown Bend. The pool was clean & the hot tub hot. Wehad some issues with the wifi staying connected but the staff was goodabout having the system reset. We requested a river view and got one.The balcony was awesome to have to sit outside and enjoy our view. Wehad a full kitchen, including a d/w!!, Which we didn't requestbut it was great to have. We had been camping but when we arrived at thecampground nearest Bend and found it was full, we had to get a room. Weended up staying a second night we liked it so much. Definitelyrecommend this place.

Review 97:The continental breakfast is very disappointing. Chocolate pudding? Granola bars? And the coffee, both at the breakfast and in the room is terrible.

Review 98:I have stayed at this motel many times over the past 25 years and still love it! The view of the river is beautiful. Furnishings haven't changed but the "old school" look is rather charming.

Review 99:The bed had some kind of scary looking hydraulic hookup- was it a murphy bed in past life? I was afraid it was going to start moving on me once I went to sleep!! Indoor-outdoor carpet, goodwill-style furniture including no bedside table. Had to move only side table next to bed and move clock there but then had no place next to couch to set my soda on. Cigarette smoke permeating bathroom from somewhere else-- I certainly wasn't smoking. The place is convenient but it has seen far better days and really needs an update. My friend had stayed there once too and shared my observations. Couldn't get internet access.

Review 100:It was very clean and the kitchen was very well equiped except for no salt and pepper. Nice view on river.

Review 101:It was very outdated but again very clean. The mattresses could use an uplift or replacement. I was fine but my husband said it was a bit unconfortable for him.

Review 102:I really liked the staff there. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly! I also liked: The view The fact that it was a "local" business and not a big hotel/motel chain the cleanliness of the unit! the size of the unit for what we needed. They are wide rooms and you feel more homey in it verses a long narrow passage type room.

Review 103:The swimming pool was too cold. We mostly sat in the hot tub. The children really wanted to swim, but they were shivering too hard to enjoy the pool.

Review 104:Loved having enough room for the six of us. Looking out on the Deschutes River was a treat.

Review 105:Plugged in lamp and sparks and black smoke occurred. Shower slidingdoor out of track, just hanging. Low shower head. Old carpet. Heatingvent blows on your head when you're in bed. Bad mattress, oldspreads. Kitchen electrical outlets not working. Run down facilities.Needs gutting.

Review 106:Deschutes River view from balcony

Review 107:Our second stay, this weekend, was much nicer...the cabin on the river. Didn't care for the "bed in the wall" in the first location.

Review 108:better availablility of pool towels

Review 109:location and hot tub

Review 110:Bed was very firm and uncomfortable.

Review 111:View of the River. Location.

Review 112:Bed and pillows uncomfortable Pool dirty and cold No room to move withsofa open Main bed was a wall bed

Review 113:Great view Fireplace Studio

Review 114:Need to replace carpets. Smell musty

Review 115:Being by river. Good price for space

Review 116:really nothing

Review 117:Resturant was excellent, river view

Review 118:It's getting old, needs renovation, tatty decor, unwelcoming staff.

Review 119:view and very nice condo like room
