Reviews for Legacy Harbour Hotel & Suites

Review 1:Room was clean but so small! Very old fashioned tiny room with walled off closet in corner- no door. Bathroom had marble on ceiling!?

Review 2:Great location only a few blocks from all the restraunts and nightlife in the waterfront area downtown . Nice breakfast but had to have employee make up the waffle mix and it was made incorrectly nd waffle s were way too tough.

Review 3:A/C unit was pretty loud for sleeping And Internet had free wifi with some improvements needed for its service over all great place

Review 4:Location and staff excellent

Review 5:Older hotel rooms but nicely updated with thoughtful touches, bed was great, super soft and comfy. Located on river, next to Joe's Crab Shack and walking distance to downtown area.

Review 6:The room was small, had no table or chairs, no telephone, and no bathtub. We had a small child with us and could not bathe her.

Review 7:Location in vicinity of The Winter Estates

Review 8:We were a couple on a road trip round Florida so just stayed one night. Family run hotel, very friendly and very clean, spotless in fact. Good eatery, a crab shack next door which was very good and a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Review 9:There wasn't anything that we disliked

Review 10:From the moment we arrived, we were greet by Kerry and loreal who made us very welcome. Kerry was always there to answer our questions, help and advise us. Excellent location, walking distance to downtown fort Myers. Would recommend and stay here again.

Review 11:Our only critiscism, no safe in room.

Review 12:Perfect location overlooking marina, 5 minutes walk from historic town centre with lots of restaurants, shops & galleries & 10 minutes walk from Edison/Ford estate. Spacious, well equipped suite. Nice pool area.

Review 13:We had some serious issues with the room and what we got versus what we had booked. It did get resolved, but after two times of someone say "yes, don't worry, it is taken care of." to the third time revoking those words and making it a little strange. After a day into our trip, it did finally get resolved and we did get the room we had been told we were getting through booking.

Review 14:The location was great for my mother with a walker/wheelchair for us to get downtown and to the city marina where my brother lives.

Review 15:I asked later in the day (after housekeeping hours) for clean linens, said we would change them ourselves. The afternoon manager said that would not be an issue, he would handle it. We were out all day and evening returning around 9pm and found that we had no clean linens. Only security is on site after dark and he had no idea where the linens would even be stored at. Not a big deal, but it kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Great place overall, excellent continental breakfast.

Review 16:The young gentleman on the morning staff was just great. We showed up a tad late for breakfast and he had already put some things away and he still insisted we stay while he got the items back out. He even made a fresh pot of coffee for us. I can't say enough about the yong man, wish I could remember his name.

Review 17:The staff is Superior in accomodating every need to total satisfaction is Spectacular☺ Great Location close to all amenities Best kept Secret....My Oasis ...oh n did I mention I live in Fort Myers n Love going here to getaway!!!:)

Review 18:Location was on spot. Unfortunately for us the bar was being remodeled. But that's ok. It gives us the opportunity to return. If it's as good as the rest when completed then it should be very hard to book. Staff was so helpful and friendly I didn't want to leave.

Review 19:We wish we had a room on the water...and I think that would offer a much different experience. Our courtyard room was nice and clean, but very basic and not very exciting without the water view. Next time for sure!

Review 20:This place is clean and well kept, and right in the middle of a marina which is so cool. The staff is way above excellent, and couldn't have been any friendlier or more helpful. Very good value on a last minute holiday weekend. Very near the cutest part of downtown Ft. Myers, and close to other restaurants.

Review 21:July 4th BBQ promised, and what we got was Cuban food salad with pork, never existed the famous BBQ and employees were unable to say. Very bad food and service

Review 22:Spacious accommodations for our family of 6 (4 children over 12yrs old). Very friendly, accommodating staff who made you feel at home. Nicely kept and peaceful grounds.

Review 23:I have stayed at 100+ hotels/motels, but never before have I encountered one where the hotel did not maintain a "visibly manned desk" around the clock to which a customer could go if he/she had problems or questions. After 7 at night, however, this hotel's office "closes shop", requiring you to call an "unseen security officer" should you need assistance at night - a "misuse (in my opinion) of such personnel. On my 6th night in the hotel, at 2:30 am, I came "face to face" with a flying, "clicking" palmetto bug in my room. Although I immediately called security (which was the only option the hotel provided me), it was 4 am before the problem was taken care of - by the security guy finally killing the bug (after I insisted he call management). Upon complaining to the hotel the next day during its "hours of operation", what I got was an excuse "punting" the problem back to the security guy not properly handling the matter. While not defending the security guy, I am not sure the role of "bug exterminator" belongs under the purview of security. Regardless of who does what, however, to me a hotel has a basic responsibility of maintaining a visible on-site representative who a customer can "go to" as needed - for a variety of administrative issues that have nothing to do with security - esp when you're paying $155+ a night. Tired & dealing with a bad arthritis flare-up, I was able to get management to give me about a 30-40%reduction to stay a 7th night (applicable to that night only) for the inconvenience I experienced. In the end, I can say the hotel's location was great, but that was it. I won't stay there again.

Review 24:Poor Wifi Shower recess that flooded No safe for valuables Sugary breakfast - very difficult to make a healthy choice

Review 25:Very close to Fort Myers Swimming pool and outlook over Harbour.

Review 26:Beds were a bit uncomfortable and the air conditioning unit was noisy. I like to let the fan run continuously when I am in a room with that type of unit for some white noise while sleeping. They had disabled this function.

Review 27:We were in a room overlooking the harbor! It was so serene and peaceful- a beautiful place to sit and enjoy morning coffee and a glass of wine at night as we watched the sun set.

Review 28:Friendly helpful staff - from front office to cleaning personnel. Everyone was always concerned with our enjoyment during our stay at Legacy Harbor. Relatives from California came for a few days while we were there. All these folks came to our suit since it was the largest room to visit..

Review 29:Bathroom was a bit small and the room seemed dark. Breakfast was a bit unhealthy in choice.

Review 30:Everything in the room was great. It was nice because the back door opened out on to the marina.

Review 31:no elevator & luggage plus broken arm resulted in a rough trip to the second floor. Very small room (king).

Review 32:Security guard that checked us in was very nice.

Review 33:The bathroom was small and the shower was even smaller. No chair in the room or table. Stayed at the Days Inn across the river the night before, half the price and a larger room and bathroom.

Review 34:Location was nice could walk to town.

Review 35:They went out of their way to accomodate us for the night. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and will definetly stay again on my next trip

Review 36:On the 3rd day a cockroach the size of a flip flop was in our bathroom, granted it is the south and we expect LARGE bugs! The bathroom was small and cramped.

Review 37:Full kitchen was a luxury and the separate living room and bedroom was nice.

Review 38:Room was small but we only reserved a king size bed.

Review 39:Able to walk to downtown Ft Myers & take in all the restaurants and shops. Staff was always very helpful & right on a marina.

Review 40:I'm allergic to bedding that has feathers. Woke up around 1am and had difficulty breathing. We tore the bed apart and found a feather pillow top. Pulled it off the mattress and slept until 6 am. We ended up leaving in the next 30 minutes and missed the free breakfast. My girlfriend had problems breathing in waking up as well. My guess is that the pillow top was loaded with dust mites. They are said to feast on feathers and multiply ! In conclusion ,nice location but not a future choice if I can't have a good night sleep. ughh!

Review 41:Location and staff

Review 42:Nothing bad to say other than wished I had booked my last night with you rather than going to a travel lodge close to airport which was very yukky.

Review 43:the extra care taken for directions and advice on where to spend family time. Beaches, and restaurants.

Review 44:Nothing

Review 45:Everything

Review 46:Would like to see more resort features like bar and on-site dining

Review 47:Everything was clean and new nice tile and finishes.

Review 48:Lovely, marina-front location. Within walking distance (4-5 blocks) of downtown restaurants and bars

Review 49:Very early check out

Review 50:Very friendly staff

Review 51:It was a little tired and needed a little updating, bathroom etc

Review 52:The suite was large

Review 53:the people of fort myers were unfriendly and very rude.we will not go back, ever.

Review 54:very quiet room

Review 55:Room not as good as I had thought from photos

Review 56:Staff was great.

Review 57:A/C was very loud and directed directly at the window side bed. This made that sleep cold but the rest of the room was warm.

Review 58:Very close to my training and city center, the staffs are very friendly and helpful

Review 59:Staff was great, wonderful location to the downtown area.

Review 60:Location, walking distance to bars and restaurants

Review 61:The staff was very acomodating and the rooms very clean.

Review 62:There were bigs in the room. The rooms are too.

Review 63:The attendant move my belongings from one room to another location. The beds are comfortable.

Review 64:Rooms did not have secondary locks.

Review 65:Very friendly staff and convenient location to Edison Ford Estate.

Review 66:Very clean room! Very friendly staff

Review 67:Nothing. it was perfect.

Review 68:The staff was like family. The view out back at tiki bar awsome.

Review 69:Beautiful location on the keys

Review 70:I thought it was very good value, the breakfast should have been earlier. We checked out before it was served!

Review 71:View of the marina is breath taking!

Review 72:Very helpful, very hospitable, highly recommendable.

Review 73:Room had only one night table.

Review 74:Staff was friendly and helpful.

Review 75:Very clean! Kerri was very professional and helpful during our stay! Great facility!!

Review 76:Late to makeover room

Review 77:Price ,location

Review 78:Small, well cared for hotel. Super friendly staff. Missing that"corporate" feel...it was a welcome change.

Review 79:everything was wonderful . The staff was super friendly, location could not be better, and the room was clean and comfy....

Review 80:Bed too small for 2 persons. Room 101

Review 81:Location. Peaceful corner

Review 82:A little austere, could have used a luggage rack and another chair in bedroom

Review 83:Room was spotless! Bed very comfortable. Staff very helpful.

Review 84:Our king bed was a little firm

Review 85:great location, wonderful view, adequate breakfast, fair price

Review 86:The beds. We had a scratchy feeling all night

Review 87:Closed to oldtown and few restaurants

Review 88:The staff was just great. We were upgraded because our the first roomwere far too small for two adults and a little Child.

Review 89:Pool, Location, close proximity to down town. Great sunsets: Well Run; and I travel for a living and I am very picky!!

Review 90:The room was a little small but did the job for us. One little gripe was the lack of a safety deposit box either in the room or at the reception. We had to carry all our valuables with us, including two passports, mobile phones, ipads and a lot of cash. (we visited from the UK)

Review 91:The location was superb. The staff were very friendly, every single one of them. The breakfast was great with an excellent choice for everyone. We liked pretty much everything.

Review 92:Too far from beaches.

Review 93:Walking distance to historic downtown district and next to marina. Only suites have water views. 35-40 minute drive to Ft Myers Beach or Sanibel Island.

Review 94:Great location. We walked to dinner, a playground and to The Ford and Edison Estates. Took the free trolley back to the hotel. Pool was warm and the kids loved it.

Review 95:Noting to not like, great find!

Review 96:Everything was perfect, location, staff went out of their way to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. Walking distance to the Ft. Myers historic district with great restaurants and shopping as well as the Edison and Ford museums. Room was very clean and spacious.

Review 97:We stayed in Room 110. It was very spacious with nice tile throughout. There was a large walk-in closet The kitchen and living area were in a separate room with a second flatscreen TV. There was a convenient door that opened into the bedroom off the parking area. In the living area there was a large window view of the marina and a second that opened out to a massive deck area with some tables and chairs. It was nice to sit out there and watch the boats. Joe's Crab Shack was right next door and the restaurants in the downtown area were a safe walking distance. Our stay was very relaxing. We will definitely come again.

Review 98:Early check out time, a little expensive for the overall ammenities.

Review 99:The view from the room, the prompt response to any issues from staff, Asked for aquiet room, and my request was honored. Housekeeping went the extra mile and did the dishes!

Review 100:thought the 10 am check out was a bit early. Would have liked to linger and enjoy the marina view and take a walk thru the marina

Review 101:loclation on the marina, ample parking, convenient location

Review 102:- Bed mattress was too soft - Swimming pool was not heated and could have been cleaner

Review 103:- Very warm welcome by the staff - Size of the room and view on the marina

Review 104:The rooms were rather generic for the price.

Review 105:It was close to downtown. Within walking distance to several restaurants. The weather was too cold to make use of any of the outside amenities, but they looked very nice.

Review 106:However, the hotel left a great deal to be desired. There is not even one chair in the room. I am not asking for luxurious couches and chairs but simply one simple chair to sit on. The plugs are unhandy for electronics, The air conditioner and bathroom fans are so loud to cause sleep interference and there is not even a telephone in the room. It was clean and the location was convenient to downtown but I was not comfortable there and would not ever stay there again. For what the rate cost, it should have provided more ammenities.

Review 107:We wanted to spend time in downtown Fort Myers and we couldn't have had a better location to meet that goal. I must also add that if you stay in downtown Fort myers you must take advantage of the Free Trolley to get around town, see all of the sites and not have to worry about finding parking spaces.

Review 108:The hotel was pristine! Not a thing out of place and you felt like theutmost care was taken in both the room and public areas. The breakfastchoices were generous, tasty and most importantly well kept up with...wewill definitely be returning :)

Review 109:We were able to walk to a restaurant for dinner then stroll downtown afterwards. We also has the room right beside the pool and bar/TV on a football night- GREAT!

Review 110:Front desk staff member extremely courteous, friendly, and helpful - very impressed. Entire place feels very classy. Room was fairly small, but clean and comfy. No tub in our room only a shower, but maybe that's a FL thing?

Review 111:Unfortunately on several visits to different ground floor rooms the shower/bathtub doesn't drain. Leaving you standing in twelve inches of dirty water. Rooms are otherwise clean but spartan..,

Review 112:Location is a plus. The pool and bar add to the relation quotient.

Review 113:It is a beautiful location on the Caloosahatchee Waterway and within walking distance of good restaurants. Especially enjoyed spending time on their huge deck overlooking the yachts in the harbour. Very relaxing atmosphere.

Review 114:Everything was just as described on your site. Some of the negative reviews were unfounded by my visit. I found the property to be very well maintained, clean and a very accommodating staff.

Review 115:Friendly, attentive staff. Relaxing waterfront location is a plus. Morning breakfast, pool and tiki bar helped make our stay enjoyable. Highly.recommend!

Review 116:TV outlet is tied into wall switch, but note was missing in our room so we couldn't get it to work and drained the batteries of the laptop our first night.

Review 117:Loralea went out of her way to make sure everything was to our liking with the room. Good breakfast selection each morning. Nice facility right on the marina and close to upscale downtown district. We had a very nice dinner at the Veranda nearby one night and ate at Joe's Crab Shack overlooking the marina the other. Easy access to 41 too for running around.
