Review 1：It was a great vacation. The room was clean, the breakfast was different every day and the staff very kind and helpful. The jacuzzi was aprox 10 Eur/ hour and a massage - aprox 20 Eur/ hour. It has a great location - near the Casino, the mosque and the old part of the town (5 min walking distance). And also you can find non-stop stores near the hotel.

Review 2：Bathroom was very small and the fixtures were a bit rusty and felt old. The carpeting in the room also seemed old and was visibly discoloured due to repeated cleaning.

Review 3：The hotel is inside a repurposed older building, and the rooms are atypical and very spacious - there was a living area with a sofa, desk and chairs, while the bed was set aside in a 'resting' area. Bed has huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was very rich, and the kitchen staff was more than happy to cook something special in the morning if you wanted. WiFi was free and available throughout the hotel (a bit slow in the breakfast area, since it was on a lower floor). Parking was free, and parking spots for the hotel were reserved on the sidewalk outside the building. We did not use the sauna/fitness rooms, but these were included in the room price and the staff was happy to recommend them. The hotel was located very close to the city center (within walking distance to the Casino and Old Town), with great bars and pubs very close by. Also very close to the sea.

Review 4：Room facing the street resulted in some traffic noise. The breakfast could use some diversity.

Review 6：The photos didn't do my room any justice. It was absolutely amazing! beautiful sunken tub in our room which I don't remember seeing listed in amenities. Perfect size, comfortable bed and the location is great. The staff was extremely helpful especially Cristina. I will absolutely come back to this hotel. LOVED it.

Review 7：They tend to wash the marble stairs and do not put out a warning sign.The shoes I was wearing were slippery in the wet and I almost took atumble. The moisture was quite invisible.

Review 9：If you like a hot drink during the day take a kettle. Reception staff were more than helpful and would make you a coffee at no charge if you asked them too. No restaurant in the hotel but several nearby and very cheap by UK standards

Review 10：Really lovely hotel, excellent room, staff extremely nice and informative. The doorman was over to our car as we arrived, took our bags to reception where we were again met with a lovely girl who made check in fast and easy. We booked last minute and we were not disappointed. Right on the beach with good Italian restaurant a 2 minute walk. Overall fantastic.

Review 11：Home made desert at breakfast. Quiet and spacious rooms. Very clean (in the room, not so much on the balcony). Decent water pressure in the shower. Courteous staff. Nice old-looking building.

Review 14：We've had a wonderful room! Spacious, tidy and chalet-like furniture! Very comfy bad, great bathroom! Aircon. worked great! Good breakfast and you can have it, until 11 o'clock a.m. , which generally is very rare. Nice staff, especially Cristina from the reception!

Review 16：The fact that the hotel is very close to the stairs leading down to the Modern beach in Constanta was great. The room was very comfortable and equipped with all amenities as described. The receptionist was particularly nice and helpful, so was the breakfast staff.

Review 17：The staff at the breakfast was not prepared to be client oriented. I had to listen some family stories between the ladies. I'm wondering: when can romanian employees will respect their job and the clients who pay for the services?

Review 19：This is our second visit to this Hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The only downside of the room was the traffic noise so if you are sensitive about that take some earplugs.We visited last October when the whole city was much quieter but this time the place is much more vibrant and busier. The restaurants and bars are open in the old part of town where you can sit outside. A totally different feel to the place.

Review 21：Instead of the single room I'd booked, I was offered a big appartment, with a separate sitting room and a huge bed. The beach is just a two minute walk away and a litlle bit further away are bars and restaurants and the museum.

Review 23：We had a wonderful overnight in Hotel Carol. The room was more than perfect, very comfortable and cosy and a delightful balcony. The Staff were all lovely and I would heartily recommend it to anyone!

Review 24：The hotel was the only pleasant thing during my short trip. Located near the former center of the city, it was a refuge from the sadness of a formerly lively city that has turned into a ghost town.

Review 26：The room was very cozy, with massive black wood beautiful furniture. Also the hallways are decorated with this kind of furniture and classic antiques elements. Besides the generous surface, the room has also a high ceiling. The bed was very comfy and big. The hotel's position is also very good. Overall, I warmly recommend this hotel.

Review 30：Great value for money for this period of time. Large room with 3 balconies, a big bathroom and a very comfortable bed. The furniture and everything else there was in the room and the hotel itself points to a top hotel that it certainly is. I expected to find something like this and I certainly did.

Review 31：really didn't know what to expect, but once in the room you notice the attention to the cleanliness, and comfort provided by the hotel, greeted with a smile at the reception, and well located from everything, will go back to this Hotel without a doubt !!!

Review 33：Good location near to the beach, the shops and the Old part of Town. Several restaurants nearby. Our bedroom was large, comfortable and had a safe. Breakfast was included and available was a selection of cereals, youhurts, fruit, selections of cold meats and cheeses, scrambled eggs and sausages and toast. Omelettes could be made to order. Staff were very helpful and would recommend restaurants if asked and ring for a taxi if you needed one. Get them to barter/fix the price of the taxi for you!

Review 35：The room was smart and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was both ample and varied. The location of the hotel is on a direct bus route from the station. Good quality restaurants off Tomis boulevard are within easy walking distance. As are the archeological museum, art gallery and beaches on the Black Sea.

Review 36：This hotel offers old world style with modern updates. Our room was spacious B101 with the bathroom small but perfectly useable. We also had 2 small balconies which opened to the busy street - a bit loud to keep open. The staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is on the street in front of the hotel and has an attendant through the night. Breakfast includes both hot and cold options.

Review 41：No window protection against mosquitos, so, it's impossible to sleep with the window opened. No restaurant (to eat the other 2 meals of the day).

Review 43：When we got there the receptionist told us that we had a room for one person in a single bed. Online I booked a queen room for two people and I showed her our reservation. In her system it showed one person in small bed and small room. Either there was an issue with booking.com or their system, something should have been resolved. She said that if she gave us the queen room which we were suppose to have, we would have to change rooms two days into our stay due to another reservation........this really pissed me off since I was planning on proposing while there. We checked out the small room and my fiance decided she would rather have a small room than to bother changing rooms. They would not change the price of our room and even charged us an additional 50 lei each day for the "other guest" in our room since only one was registered on the booking. Then on the day we got engaged my fiance told the front desk girl who was like "ok". Not very nice about it and the hotel did nothing special for us in congradulations. I worked at a hotel before and we would have gotten them a bottle of champagne and signed a card from the hotel to make that event special. I chose this hotel because it was so nice and wanted them to take that extra move to make this day special for us especially after the room issue. Very disappointed in their lack of care in the guests who traveled across the world to stay there and spent good money too. Breakfast was nothing special and definitely not worth the additional cost. Coffee was cold and instant. I would have expected brewed coffee and food was bland, I have gotten better food at hostels I've stayed at. The waitress was very nice and gave my fiance a lot of attention that she was craving over our big news and her ring. If you are interested in spending more money than you have to for an upscale 4 star hotel then you may get more at the resorts in Mamia

Review 44：I booked this hotel as a surprise for my now fiance. I read a number of the reviews for the hotel to ensure it was top notch and was worth the extra splurge for a 4 star. The hotel is very elegant clean and we'll kept. The staff was very helpful with finding places to go, places to eat, etc. The security was nice and helped us with our bags. The room was nice and bed was quite comfortable including the fancy robes they gave us for the spa/shower. Its location was a block from Constanta beach and only a 10 minute drive to Mamia and the beach there.
